Apartments add kitchens and living rooms.A breakfast buffet is complimentary. Other amenities include a warm restaurant with exposed stone walls, plus an outdoor pool.
nice food and good service
Kleine Windhoek guest house have no comments about it
Clean and neat. Inhouse restaurant
The food is wonderful. Ambience is tranquil i did not like the location coz of the parking arrangements.
Nice, relaxing place. Super friendly staff (Janvier 👏👏👏)
It’s clean. And the service is good. And breakfast was delicious! But that is where the good stuff ends. Rooms have zero personality - not a rug, picture or any idea of decor or ambiance. Bare-bones would be a good way to describe this “BnB”. You’ll get a bed. And you’ll get breakfast. Nothing more.
Very nice quite place
Reception managed to arrange our booking at the last second.Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and very very accommodating! Honestly nothing is to much trouble. We asked if we could change rooms and with no hesitation reception got the cleaners to cleaned another apartment out for us.Fresh towels every day and transfer to the airport and shops at your convenience.Breakfast was ok, but you get what you pay for.Pizza in the evening was good and with reasonable priced wine you can’t go wrong.Would stay here again for the accommodating staff alone.Thank you for everything 👍🏼
We had a room a lttle way down the road. Very comfortable and reasonably priced. No complaints at all. Conveniently situated to all amenities.
Great food in the restaurant and very clean rooms will definitely be back and can recommend them to anyone.
I wish I took some more photos! The place was amazing and so were the staff. We will be back.
I like the pizza but please dont serve it at tea break.
Excellent place to stay. Very clean. Recommend this guesthouse.
Honestly, when booking to host conferences here its cheap but the breakfast and lunch is so unappealing. The food is uncooked, the staff looks moody that you feel uncomfortable and drinks are warm. Plus they dont have a menu or a variety of options. Plus they have cats and its scary to be eating while theres a cat walking by.The scenary is amazing thou and so are the conference building. However, its not a place I would come back to unless I am on a tight budget.
Food was really badThe female staff members are very rude and impoliteI really loved how the male staff members make us comfortable
The rooms are very neat and have big spaceTheir service is the best, especially the receptionists. And their breakfast is the one.
Room very basic, old and over priced. Shower horrible. Water barely coming out. Women with long hair will struggle. Booked 7nights 2nd night already regret paying in advance. Room 16 have security lights shining directly into the room which do not switch off at any point during the night, people like me that need total darkness will not be able to sleep. Requested another room got the deaf ear.
Klein Windhoek Guest House is a great experience. The rooms are clean, quaint and always fresh. Their restaurant has a fully fledged menu with well prepared dishes. I would recommend it highly for the travelling business person, or someone who wants a temporary home-away-from-home.
Yaaaa somehow am gonna visit this place since it is affordable and seems everything u might need is there
Had a workshop there for an entire week, the food was amazing, kitchen staff was incredibly friendly, the food was always fresh. The cleaning staff may have had an off week, only a hand full of tables would get the conferencing refreshments. Bathrooms were always clean, fully stocked with the necessities.I will definitely be going back
What a disappointment! My wife booked here by accident, as we wanted to stay over at Klein Whk Self-catering Apartments (where we had a very enjoyable time). However here...its seemed as if the staff are more interested to what is happening in the kitchen and restaurant, than attending to their booked-in customers, to say the least. During breakfast, no ine really was on duty on the floor to assist and PLEASE...do something about the way you cover you food as it felt like we and the flies were competing for the food. It was my first visit...and definitely my last!
food was exellent but accomodation ??? some rooms were to small toshare
Pizza is fire. The owners son knows how to treat a person.
This place needs to update its website. There is no pool, the rooms, although clean, were dark and dingy. Restaurant food OK, breakfast very poor. Find somewhere nearby
Nice and warm atmosphere. Can basically accommodate from a single, couples or and entire family. Located close to shopping center, fuel service station etc. Very helpful, reliable and friendly staff. You should consider it next time you go to Windhoek.
Have you ever wanted to eat anything past its expiry date?Do vegans like biltong?Would you enjoy a warm beer on a hot day?If all your answers were "no"..then why say yes to this place??Stayed here on 25.09.2021. I was very disappointed to pay almost N$1000 for beds made untidy, dusty food area at breakfast with unappealing food. No towels in the showers, patio light shining in your room hindering peaceful sleep and an ill presented reception with minimal professionalism..save your money, rather sleep in the park..you will have a better deal! Staff gossip and swear in front of guest about their employer or about guests, really a place which started off well and lost its sparkle ages ago..what remains is anything close to a shadow of its former glory.Peace out.
Restaurant service, very poor 😔😔walked in, sad at a table 15min later I stood up went to get the menu, another 20min later I called the waiter to order, I mean where is the sense of customer service in that restaurant? Same thing with breakfast in the morning.
It is the best place for you to share a drink and a laugh with close friends and relatives. The good, food and excellent staff will treat you well. Give them a visit.
I loved the peaceful environment. Safe at night, clean bedrooms and bathrooms. The conference room was large, well ventilated and equiped with functional projectors. We always had refreshments prepared for us. I was grateful for the Muslim - friendly food options. The extra effort they made to ensure I was able to enjoy meals. Id recommend this for conferences, those who need to write books, thesis, or a religious retreat during Ramadan. You wont be disturbed 👌
Very nice place to meet people and get together with family and friends. Relaxed atmosphere and good food!
Showers does not work - you can only either shower ice cold or burn. . People in kitchen does not wear masks. Very dusty at reception - especially the computer! Karlien tried her best but nothing worked. Will not stay there again.
Breakfast and souper were good! Room is good (large). A microwave in room could be even better. Some occasional smell (wastein the evening from rear side (bush).
A very nice place with good customer service.. Clean rooms and nice food.
Great food, good rooms. Great service. Great atmosphere, Restaurant could be cleaner. Unfortunately smoking is allowed on underroof patio....very unappetizing
Good people, nice place to meet up with friends and have a cold one, food not so impressive but the pizza is to die for. Safe and neat
Will not recommend this place to anybody. My experience here is not a good one. Firstly the parking is very bad, and then the security comes and tells you to park outside. Then the restaurant with the walk in met a very unfriendly waiter that even dont want to give us a menu. House cakes was old and still up for display. Breakfast i think is the worst Ive had ever. Me back, no never. Me recommending this to someone else, no never.
The food/buffet are were full of big fat flies and sat on ALL the food. I did not even eat or touch the food and the feedback the waiter gave was, just order something else and with no appology...Disgusting!!!!!!
An over the top stay at this wonderful establishment. Thank you Fransciou and your team for the homely feel during my stay here. Food was excellent and very good value for money. Will definitely be back, Klein Windhoek Guesthouse is my first choice of stay when in Windhoek.
The service was really good, but what got me going was the fact that the manager/owner has no manners at all. I am appalled by the manner he treats his staff, the way hebtries tonfraudulently withold the tip i have gifted the ine staff member. I used debit card and did not have cash at hand and therefore added her tip on my card. She never received her payment and most of the other staff has the same problem
The rooms where ok but the shower wasnt draining water slowly. Showered at night and in the morning there was still water that didnt drain. My first night at the restaurant was bad, service was bad, there was some racism, wasnt served for some time.
Comfortable accommodation and the food is very nice and tasty. However, this is not the right place if you are interested in local dishes. I will like to be here again
Unfortunately, this establishment has turned into quantity not quality guesthouse. The wifi is terrible so you cant work from your room as the signal is to weak. Tour operators offload their packs at very late hours and these people obviously arent told to be quiet as there are other guest that might be sleeping. It is not fun to have truckloads of people arriving, door banging and people speaking loudly and laughing for hours after arriving without being told to take others into consideration. Same goes for early morning when the tour departs again and people are making a racket. The staff in the restaurant are not very friendly or helpful and that meant I only had one meal there and did not bother to return as the service and quality of the food did not make me want to eat there again. I will not be staying there again in future.
We left rather disappointed. On arrival you are welcomed onto a building site. The onsite restaurant staff are not particularly friendly and would not let us put our bill on our room account and yet the table next to us could. The lunch was tasteless and the view from the restaurant deck is not particularly pleasing. On the up side the room was clean and comfortable and reception staff were lovely.Breakfast buffet was mediocre.
Only went to the restaurant. Excellent food, great place to be. Superb service and clean restrooms. Would have spent more time, but bar closed at 22:00 during the week. Will visit again!
By arrival at the room there was no kettle, no toiletpaper and 1 towel in the bathroom. There was no fresh milk and only 3 sugars at the coffee station. There was no water glasses in the bathroom. The aircon did not have a remote. The TV only had 1 channel which worked. The general service is very poor. This is unexceptable....
Poor poor quality. Staff doesnt believe the complaints, so literally no service. Pillows, mattresses and bed stuff all worn out, wall plugs dont work, need to move plug around for items to charge. TV didnt work, no remote to set it up. Had to use modern cellphone to set up tv via remote app. Interior walls and ceilings covered in paint to look newer. I have been advising staff for many years now, no improvement since!
Noisy rooms, small, and uncaring management. I was overcharged and when asked to explain, was made to feel as if I was at fault...paid back in Namibian dollars, asked for Rands,(same rate), but apparently the had none and could not do a credit card reversal....so now I sit with foreign notes that are useless....not a smile from the staff, much better airbnbs....
My experience at this place was the most unpleasant one in my life. Everything from room service to the restaurant clearly shows that the staff and management over here has got on training in hospitality. From waiting for almost an hour after sitting down in the restaurant for a waiter or management that just walks right by you to come and serve you to room service that leave dirty dishes and bedding for more than two days. Laundry takes more than a day to come back to you with your clean clothing. While at my stay here I eventually complained to the restaurant manager that was on duty on the 3/10/2016 the evening I was rudely interrupted by her by saying the chef should not have help me cause its not his duty I then informed her that he saw we were sitting here long and no one is attending to us this is the reason he help us, while still explaining she left while I was still talking to her. She never introduced herself to me and this is the reason I dont know her name but I asked Zavier to call her. Please investigate with him as to which manager I am referring to. While sitting and waiting for my food I observed the chef finishing my dish and put it on the counter and informed one of the waiters there that this dish is ready and is for our table. The waiter then said yes and just continued on with what she was doing and the dish was then standing on the counter for almost ten minutes. The same evening after more that an hour I complained and received my order and while eating numerous comments was made by various waiters in regards to my complaint one waiters name that I can remember is Clarissa who made the most comments while walking past my table. The entire staff is not friendly and does not make you feel welcome at this guest house. It is very clear that they do not and does not go for any hospitality training. My name is Nigel Davis and I stayed at this guest house from 29/09/2016 to 7/10/2016 and will inform my company to never use this place again in the future unless the service improves.I will also be putting in an official complaint with the relavent department.
It is not the grandest of guest houses, but it is clean, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and having a fully licensed restaurant on the premisses makes getting dinner and lunch easy.If you are traveling for business and looking for economic accommodation, I recommend that you try them out.
This isnt the worst place Ive ever been but it is cheap for a reason. The rooms arent bad if you dont mind sleeping in a closet; they are small and cramped. The pillows are as thick as a sheet of paper; so bring your own if you can. The air conditioner will keep you cool if you take all your clothes off and dont move around too much, but dont expect any heat from the unit. Sometimes they have hot water sometimes they dont; good luck showering. They do have free internet, but it rarely works, when it does it is extremely slow and they kick you off if you try downloading anything; forget about email attachments. They do have a bar/restaurant. If you drink enough the food isnt bad; the hard part is drinking enough because service is awful and ridiculously slow.
