Its okay okay plus. We are from Bangalore where we are having Botanical Garden 100 times better than this.

Beautiful place tonspend some time with family. Plus - you can find some forest mushrooms

Wonderful hilly trails for walking and running, as well as numerous playgrounds scattered throughout the park. Also noticed a disc golf course. With a bit of a hike, there is a nice waterfall that can be traced up the hillside as well. Lots to see and do. Highly recommended!

Beautiful park. Could not find public grills so we were FORCED to eat sandwiches. Sandwiches pretty good though.

Hiking and bicycle tracks in forest. Great for families and just everyone. Good Camping facilities with service nearby.

Lots of hiking trails with nice scenery including park benches and playground like swings and adventure outbound activities.Didnt have much time here as we are rushing for round island in next 2 days so we shall forgo the hiking here. Will come back this city 100% for sure on next iceland trip!

Many playgrounds and lots to do, many paths and beautiful surroundings worth a visit, but the playgrounds (especially one of themneeds maintenance.

Forested area with trails, playgrounds and camping. Very lovely place to stretch your legs and breathe in the fresh air.

Kjarnaskógur Forest is a 12.2 kilometer loop trail located near Akureyri, Northeastern, Iceland that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, nature trips, and mountain biking.Very nice trail run to cliff side areas and beautiful forest. Single track is very small about 1 foot at a time and when wet can be a bit treacherous. But I don’t want that to sound unsafe, the lower trails are impeccable and cut through a golf course. The upper trails are great views and a little technical.

Good place on the outskirts of Akureyri, good facilities but lacking in electricity for campers. Many connections in few spots so you need a looooong extention cord

We absolutely loved it! Lots of trees, green sceneries and RABBITS everywhere! Adorable. It was our first time there. We will visit it next weekend as well. 💖

We went there by 9pm, so it was super empty. It’s beautiful how untouched this park is. Compared to European or American parks it’s nice to see walk through this forest and discover small lakes and streams. Sometimes you can find a lot of bunnies, but I would guess it depends how much people are around. Seems like the camping area is also quite busy.

Nice place for relax

Beautiful place to explore with. Family friendly facilities but with extra care when you go for mountain climbing. Trees planted here are keep growing as times goes by.

Went in spring so still some snow on the ground and deserted. Lovely to walk through - beautiful trees and views. Rabbits and birds. Benches and a playground.

i dont feel safe, there isnt a jamba juice within the park

Very nice place for a forest, lots of trees and has some playground for little kids, water fountain anywhere. My favorite forest so far in Akureyri.

Great campsite ⛺️

One of the best campsites we stated in. Great accommodations, lots of space, beautiful setting.

A fabulous camping site and a great place to take a hike. If you are bringing children to Iceland in a camper or staying in a tent, this is one camping site you do not want to miss. Although not in the town of Akureyri the walk is just about and hour or so.

Just love the place.

An amazing forest with lots of artic trees, camp sites, playgrounds, a lake and a lot of cool places to discover. Its a very big forest!
