Kitty O'Shea's - Irish pub in Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Quite lively good music and not too expensive but seating isn’t so good, be prepared to stand
Excellent pub with friendly atmosphere.
Fantastic sports bar, loads of TVs
Amazing Irish bar, with live music and an incredible atmosphere. The perfect spot to listen to some Irish classics, or sing along to some golden oldies.
Great bar hidden in the depths of Frederick Street, well worth a look 🇮🇪🍀
Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
If you want the traditional Irish pub and sports bar, Kitty OSheas will never disappoint. From live music in an intimate setting to relaxing on the sofas watching a game of rugby, this place will keep you cheerful. If you want to try a not so typical drink, have a look at their "Dark Arts" menu, my favourite is the Blackbeard
Good feel good bar but toilets were disgusting..
Great live music, friendly staff and a cosy environment
I visited on a Sunday night. Youd think it would be quiet but the place was bumping. If you like your resident bar band inserting pro IRA lyrics in to your songs then this place is for you!Youll get a pint until the wee hours but just make sure youve brushed up on your republican anti-Brit lyrics 🍻
Great pub
Very good great entertainment friendly staff
Brilliant atmosphere and 2 great singers who really interacted and looked like they were enjoying singing too...Will be back and good drinking prices for up town
Authentic 🇮🇪 Irish ☘️ bar in the heart of Edinburgh. A great selection of drinks and sports. Shows Sky Sports, BT Sports and more. ⚽️🍺🏴
Was here for my graduation 3 weeks ago and had the time of my life. Was rather expensive but that could be me being from Glasgow and not used to the Edinburgh prices. The atmosphere made the price of drinks worth it however
Found by accident. Live music!!!! Love it. Cold River (!?!Cider, got to try it. Friendly staff, even if they were doing TikTok behind the bar. Atmosphere was amazing. Gets busy on the Saturday night, limited capacity.
I do not recommend at all. Very aggressive bouncers who seemed to think they can do whatever they want. The music is passable, but deffo not worth being degraded by the bouncer for being yourself
without a doubt the best place to party at night in Edinburgh, live music of the best! and the best Scottish beer! you feel in another world! spectacular highly recommended!
Wow, did we have fun at this Irish pub! It was not too busy when we first walked in but then the live music started and almost immediately the place filled up and the whole bar was singing and dancing. I dont know who the guy was doing the Macarena on the dance floor to every song but if hes there every Id definitely go back🤣
I was in Edinburgh for a few days and went to this bar on my final night. It was extremely busy with a fun, party atmosphere. A couple of bands played and there was lots of dancing and general merriment. I had an excellent night.
Great atmosphere, live music and friendly staff.
Nice place and good good atmosphere on the night we went
Great staff great craic great pints great music
Great pub experience after trying many okayish ones around it.
Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Live music was fantastic and I had a great night out. Would highly recommend this place!
Thank you for a great day wasnt the result we wanted Huddersfield but great hospitality from the staff music later was bloody Brilliant really lively will be back one day thanks
Found it a strange place ,full of nooks and crannies.Drinks choice was ok but not brilliant. But above all the strongest memory was the not so nice smell that was unavoidable to notice .might be a better spot when busier .
Great place, thats alot bigger than it looks. Love the Guinness signs in the back!
Bouncers unfriendly, place is a bad atmosphere and drinks too overpriced, staff also unfriendly and unattended, will not be returning as this place is awful
Go to kitty’s with my friends all the time bouncers are always lovely, Michael in particular very friendly and a very approachable person! Great pints and have a class time every time I’m there always a good atmosphere with live music all time
Great place for a pint and some live music. Superb atmosphere, and the GAA lad and ladies love a night at kittys. I was in the other night with a few pals and chatted away to Michael and Darien at the door for ages before we went in. Absolutely class spot.
Always a good night out in KOS Edinburgh...great live music, great atmosphere and super friendly staff.in authentic Irish bar....whats not to like
A really great pub to go to if youre visiting Edinburgh. Very friendly staff and the drinks were a good price.
Long queue Saturday night and the inside were not even busy lots of empty seats in the two halls at the back not sure if it were their plans bouncers not wanting staff to work too hard or wanting a rise or something but they could sell more drinks having not to wait for more than half an hour all about politics heh
First time in here last night brilliant wee place good atmosphere and the music was amazing
Had a nice time at the Kitty, very crowded as it was. I and my colleague stayed around for only a brief while...we left so that a few from the long line outside could be admitted.
Quirky underground bar with great atmosphere, fab staff and lots of choices of drinks. Highly recommended.
Great pub, good music, fun people and a nice atmosphere. Got there around 12pm Friday Night, place was rammed, they had a live guitarist that played all the best party song he even played a few Scotish falk songs which was really nice touch concidering its Edinburgh. Loved it, didnt leave till closing time at 3am, wish it was open longer.
Was there for Irland game at rugby and Scotland Rugby game what an atmosphere brilliant staff so nice too and then singing band playing afterwards just made the night, I must mind and precooked a table when we all go for next big event def recommend it no disabled access so no use for my Mrs but very few places are these days in Edinburgh which is fab for us carers to get restvite and have a good time.
Had a few drinks. Good environment and good bar service. Nothing spectacular but its a nice pub, good for when the football is on too - they also show that. Although, its good other than that too
I love it!! My favourite place for my afterwork. I am going with workmates to stay there and chat about the day. Good atmosphere, good music and nice place to be with friends and drink good gins or ciders.
First time in Kittys went there to watch the GAA all Ireland final with friends, atmosphere was great. Staff were very friendly and efficient also the bar prices were really good especially for a city centre bar. I will definitely be back.
A fantastic evening in here.It has been the best pub of our Scottish tour. The singers were brilliant as well and a great atmosphere as well
A terrible bar that does not care about its customers. As a visitor to Edinburgh, i would have hoped for something much better. The staff were rude and offensive and they had little stock. I found the prices over the top. There are much better bars nearby and I suggest you try one of those. Any one. Just avoid this place.
Thought of this place really highly until our last visit. A member of our party was racially abused by another person in the pub. The bouncer kicked him out but then members of the abusers party started making comments towards my friends and I when we went to the bar. Upon telling the staff and the bouncer we were told to behave otherwise both parties would be kicked out. Eventually the constant eye catching and abuse from the racist party forced us to leave. Very sad to see an establishment I once held very highly choose profits over keeping zero tolerance to racism
Roman the bar lad was great help and very good, he knew we were Irish straight away. Nice spot the cocktails were great!! Will be back again!!
I love Irish pub & this one got it all.Even though I was there early afternoon I could see all his potentials.Drinks, stage x music, screens for sports, traditional furniture which it gives the "Home taste" of Ireland.Recommend it...!!!
Great place, just enjoy your beer, and some live music
Perfect Guinness just like in Ireland, great Craic and mad times. Ireland transfered to Edinburgh. Live music is stunning too..
Great bar. Stopped in there after the Scotland v Ireland Six Nations match. Cracking atmosphere and excellent live music. Very busy but no problems getting served at the bar. Reasonable prices for an Irish city centre boozer.
