The place is pretty much the same as before since its supposed to maintain the cultural feel, not much change, the main gallery is well kept and the nature trail is worth a try!#twendekitale

The gallery has a rich culture of the western people of Kenya. Nice place for learning activities.
A great place to find ancient cultural traditions done by different communities and the evolution of man story.

A quiet place, the weather is cool, good environment where you can relax and enjoy the view of traditional houses and artifacts.
A couple of snakes. A massive croc. Some old and young tortoises. Traditional homes and gallery. A tour will last an hour or less.
A good place to visit to learn the history of Western Kenya. The museum looks dilapidated and some repairs and upgrades should be done.
Located at kitale Town... I love to see live snakes, crocodile and tortoisesAnd rich history of the locals
Nature 🔥
Its located opposite alakara hotel.
Intersting, informative and authentic.I got lucky to be amongst a group that was guided by a passionate archeologist, who presented the technical, social, cultural and economic aspects of mans story in an authentic, relatable manner. Congratulations to Mr Wafula and the NMK for packaging and presenting our cultural wealth and diversity in such an exciting manner. It was well worth the visit.
What a cool and interesting place to explore.

Was there today after 20 years, brought back memories from when I was a kid. It was my first National Museum to visit in Western Kenya that is why I will always love it. The entrance is still affordable to promote local tourism. I was glad I could still see some structures from way back... And this time we had a well educated guide, she made our trip worth the while. Shout out to you miss... There is a lot to say about this place but let the photos do the talking. Its a great place to bring kids and the family, long life impact just as it did for me.
Our human heritage is what makes the place amusing....cool environment and very pocket friendly for all kenyans. Its proximity to Kitale town is what to go for
Good place to visit. Museum is located in the forest with little zoo in it. Monkeys are jumping in the open space. This is the only place that has a poor public library.
A serene environment where any human has got to love.
Its a beautiful place filled with all sort of things related to nature and it is also a pocket friendly outlet
Nice small museum. Lots of watoto around though, maybe because it was a friday. The nature walk through the small forest is nice. A lot of plastic takatakas in the small river / waste water though, unfortunately. Entry 500 kes, for adult foreigners.
Its a good place exhibited with the ancient tools and artefacts of the various ethnic groups, the gallery holds most significant technology , history and different species of the preserved animals of Africa.
Its a very nice place to visit with very cool sites and artifacts of the old age and also caged animals.
Great customer service, good learning experience. Great place to see pre-historic man remains. Saw the biggest crocodile I habe ever seen in my whole life.
A very nice museum but the buildings and collection are very bad maintained, which is a pity.
Met with an enthusiastic guide armed with knowledge on pre-historic man, artifacts, stuffed animals and butterflies. Loved the nature walk though the Bridges are neglected and the streams have loads of litter.
