Marc Lowe Music Free ZoneCool museum featuring dinosaurs and other extinct creatures , many if which lived in Garden Paradise Kitakyushu.

A truly wonderful museum that is fun an educational for people off all ages, creeds, and colors. Not suitable for flat earth lunatics or pretend musicians. Located in a Marc Lowe Music Free Zone so the museum is easy on the ears and eyes. It was fun to see the smiles and childrens faces. It was also fun to see the smiles on adults faces. But most of all it was fun to see the smiles on geriatric faces. This museum is a good place to observe face. They were cool dinosaur bones. They often have amazing exhibitions. Its just a hop skip and a jump from space world station. However Jr Kyushu is usually late and overpriced so we would recommend you drive there and park in the ample parking lot. There is an Aeon Mall across the street so watch out for clueless Kitakyushites behind the wheels of their death machines.

Went here on a whim after going to the Toto toilet museum. Saw a brochure at the tourist center in Kokura station. Was not disappointed. Definitely the best dinosaur fossil museum I have been to. They have the most full scale dinosaur and humanoid fossil replicas I have seen. Seeing the T-Rex in life size full scale is amazing. It is like Jurassic Park in there. 😀

Amazing museum with dinosaurs and other animals

Just drove 3 hours to visit museum, and its closed for no reason. Website said it was open. Very disappointing 😞. Administrators should have posted something to let people know its closed. No signs on the entrance why its closed.

It is a good place for young children. The special exhibit will keep changing but the permanent exhibition is good. We really liked the dinosaur bones and the animals.

Its a small museum, but very good for children (perfect for ages 3-12, more or less)

Amazing place, lots of dinosaur 🦕 stuff to see. However, not only dinosaurs, also many other things to see and learn from.

Nice museum to enhance, enrich ones basic as well as advanced geological, historical and cultural knowledge of the world.Kindly enter into it with curiosity for knowledge, analytical skills to grasp the concept.One can scrutinized the various era, realms of human life geological era with well illustration.Prehistoric times, history times, modern era, industrial revolution of japan all one can find under one roof.The exhibit, staff and content are well designed for discovery.Must have while you are in Kyushu island.

Love the display of,Natural History Zone...and the roaring dinosaur in ancient times!

The museum is very good for everyone tht is interested to know the history of earth and mankind. The first impression is excellent when u first to meet the very intimidating t-rex in the main hall. The layout is also good where each sections are located at strategic place where u wont missed any of them. The staff is extremely helpful. I reached there with all my luggage just after landing and the staff immediately help to store them in locker and storage room. Lastly, the souvenir shop is also very interesting. It offers all kind of crystal, minerals, stones and dinosaur jaws and claws too. A must go place if u had the chance to visit kitakyushu.

The price of permanent exhibition is 600¥ for adult. It has auto ticket machine in English or Chinese and free multi language audio guidance machine. Most of the introduction is in Japanese. There are plenty of fossil, rocks, dinosaurs bones and animal models. It is a great place for families.It also equipped coin lockers. You can also stow the suitcase at information desk.

Museum exhibits have few translations in English

My kid loves dinosaurs and this is a great place for them. Not much English on the signs and placards inside but he didnt care that much. There were audio guides available but we didnt use them, I assume they had English on them but Im not sure. Well worth the trip.

A lot of Dinosaur fossils. Totally worth your time!

A nice recently refurbished small museum. There are many stuffed animals from today and from the past. Many examples of butterflies and bugs are on display too if thats of interest.The highlight for me was the animatronic dinosaur show.The museum is not large so if you can taper your expectations it is a really enjoyable experience for a couple of hours.

Takes you on a real journey through history and wildlife. Would totally recommend foe families!

Decent museum if you are interested in Dinos, anthropology, history, culture, minerals, and so on. Kids friendly.

Medium size museum where exhibits dinosaurs, animals, insects and fishes. well designed to explore entire space of the building.

You can see stones, miniature of dinosaur, fish, frog, snake, etc that inhabit Japan.

Decided to visit this place to escape the rain and our group was pleasantly surprised. There were many exhibits on dinosaurs, marine animals, and even insects. The was also a cool show talking about the timeline of dinosaurs using robotics.

Great place to take kids for a nice little indoor adventure.

Great experience of visit, especially if you are really into Geography and history I’m sure you will gain a lot of knowledge. Not only serves merely information about the past, prehistoric period, it has the live attraction movie-like except it has the robot that similar the real dinosaurs about how dinosaurs live in the past, although the explanation given in japanese i was astonished by how they managed to make the visitors get the insights.

Great for kids and families! Not a bad spot for a cute date either. There’s plenty to see here, and their fossil repertoire is actually fascinating, even if dinosaurs aren’t your thing. The only issue I had was with the standing area in the planetarium-esque show space. It’s not designed well for crowds so viewing the show is difficult, especially for little kids.

Awesome place to bring the family. I wouldnt necessarily recommend it for couple or singles as it is more of a family-oriented place. Most of the dinosaurs are replicas but seems like a few are real. Couple of interesting displays but nothing over the top. Id recommend it since it is so cheap and pretty nice inside.

We loved "Bones" and the regular exhibition, too. It took us around 2 and a half hours to see the highlights and I think thats just enough for one visit. The dinosaur skeletons are very impressive and you can see everything up close.There is no eating area in the museum, but they have a space for vending machines and you can sit down, take a rest there.I was very impressed by how the museum staff managed to use the limited space they have and the creative ways they positioned everything.

Very interesting museum, only 5 minute walk from the station. There is no cafe or restaurant inside (only vending machinesso make sure to eat before visiting.

I would appreciate more english but they have free wifi so one can google scientific names and get more information. Otherwise beautiful display and i liked information about local environment. They even had some live specimens of native species.

With ¥900 for adult, ¥500 for student (college too!), and ¥300 for child, you can experience Japan from prehistoric age until premodern era. Very huge and convenient place to spend holidays with family also. Toilets are everywhere! :)))

Excellent museum. Amazing robotic dinosaur show with spectcular lighting effects. Kids will love it; and the adults too. Go; its well worth the cost of entry.
