Do not, I repeat, do not miss this place. Secret garden 2.0 will blow your mind!! The incredible bartender even tailored it to taste ❤️ Their whare creates an atmosphere that is hard to mimic elsewhere. Don’t even start on the lengthy whiskey list!

Overwhelming selection where it’s beat to let the bartenders to the talking with your preferred spirit. Incredibly refreshing beverages and great atmosphere!

Very cool little cocktail bar 🍸🍹👌😎Whiskey specialists, as youll notice upon seeing the library shelves of whiskeys behind the bar.Nice ambience and decor.Would be a great pre/post dinner date night drink.Not much seating inside, so I sat outside, comfortably, under an outdoor heating lamp.Also.. Im not a whiskey connoisseur, but they made me an excellent Margarita! 🍸🍹

Terrific fun. Very attentive staff who are quite the showmen, especially if you arrive early evening and view the effusive greeting rituals as they clock on. Willing to be challenged on their version off the classic Sidecar, which while delicious did not come with a salt rim as my friend preferred and had experienced in her travels around Aotearoa and overseas. A cocktail powered walk home up the hill was the way to go.

We arrived at this bar and were sat pretty quickly. They have outdoor heaters and provide you with blankets also. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the prices werent too high. I had mocktails and the drinks still looked and tasted great. Although they ran out of the banana leaf, for the drink called Banana Old Fashion, the group really enjoyed them but they just didnt look as pretty by the end of the night. One thing that made me drop a star is the amount of time that it took to bring out the drinks. It is far too long and would suggest that maybe an extra mixologist is on site on busy nights. Another thing that made me drop the star is the cleanliness of the toilets, it wasnt really up to scratch and the smell was rather foul.

Kismet has it all, a great jazz bar/speakeasy vibe with sophisticated twist, attentive friendly staff who know a thing or two about spirits and cocktails, a whiskey afficionados mecca and a great place to go for relaxed conversation with something special in your glass

Best place to go in Nelson. Great atmosphere, I met some great people. The team are absolutely amazing, they go above and beyond. The best cocktails...I recommend the Leaf & Blossom, the Brumble, El Chapo and Wolfburn Whiskey. Book a table, you definitely wont be disappointed. Will def be back

Just had a work function here at Kismet. The service is second to none, the staff are attentive, easy to get along with, and nothing is a problem. The whiskey selection and cocktails are amazing and I will be recommending Kismet as a must do while youre in Nelson.

We had a wonderful night at this place. They provide heaps Gins, Whiskey, Cocktail and some other drinks as well. I like the atmosphere there and we are very satisfied with their service too.

Amazing place! The staff are so knowledgeable about drinks and can help you find the drink you like. They have a fun drinks menu, plus they can make anything off menu. Huge whiskey menu if you are a fan. A must visit when you are in Nelson!

I very rarely write reviews but this is an exceptional little spot. Every detail of Kismit seems to have been thought out and executed to perfection. The atmosphere is relaxing, the drinks are beautiful, and Simon, our server was lovely. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable which is something that alot of places strive for but ultimately miss their mark. What a lovely place! My husband and I had an amazing time at Kismet. Great customer service. The polenta fries are a must-do, very crunch. We cant wait to go back and try different drinks and whiskey!

From interior design perspective, Kismet Bar is the place offering the inspiring.The space was created into welcoming & mysterious atmosphere, it triggers my curiosity for discovering the space.The most impressive point is more than decorating style here, the owner put the history of Nelson city inside of the materials he chose. If curious about the connection between the old pieces of wine barrel wood on the bar bench and the old painting on the wall? Go to ask the owner.Meaningful interior design should fill the cultural contents inside the space, beside the colour scheme, materials and decorations etc. here it is for one good study case.

Fabulous find.. if you have a craving for a flavour, but dont know what the name of the cocktail is, or if it even exists... theyll tailor make it for you, with impeccable service.

Was pleasantly surprised to visit this little inner-city gem.... havent a clue if they serve food...but if they do , Id like to think its as good as everything else I noticed.....only popped in on a whim the excellent vodka numbed any senses of good decision making ability quite futile....... recommend 👍👍👍

They have a massive list of whiskies and great selection of alternative drinks (cocktails, soft drinks etc). Very accommodating and friendly staff, will definitely be coming back!

Had another awesome experience at Kismet last weekend. They hosted a bespoke cocktail making competition for a friends hens do and it was incredible. Nick & Andy are very knowledgeable and made sure everyones cocktail was not only drinkable, but tasty as well. Highly recommend if you are looking to host an event! I cannot thank them enough for the amazing effort they put in. One to remember

Excellent bar. Such knowledgeable staff and great table service. The cocktails were excellent and I had to try the single malt tasting tray - may seem a bit expensive but excellent choices and great introduction to each sample by staff. Will definitely be back.

Good range of beer in tap or bottled. Friendly staff. I intend to go here for a meal so a future review will happen. I have eaten the cooks food at his last restaurant and loved it so I dont expect to be disappointed.

Quite pricey (but when are good cocktails cheap?but spectacular.If you want to try something new, exotic and delicious come here.sliced strawberry and cracked black pepper on gin? Sound weird on paper but tastes fantastic!Recommend a visit, even if its just to read the drinks menu.
