Kings Valley Diner in Windham

Second time here. Keeps getting better and better. Love the way food is prepared and served. Will definitely return

My husband and I were in Kingston tonight so we decided to grab something to eat at Kings Valley Dinner. We both ordered appetizer platters, and also KVD Fries w cheese and gravy. Half of our food was not fully cooked. We had to send back all the chicken bc it was still pink. Each platter came w 4 items we sent back 3 items and the manager was only gonna take $4 off. My husband went up and spoke to manager and he gave my husband an attitude. I was not paying for something that was raw. Waiter never even came over to ask how everything is, when my husband called him over he said oh hold on. Never again I will stick with Red Line Diner in my area.

Always enjoy their service and the staff are always friendly. Have gotten the same waitress almost every time I get breakfast and she is fantastic and always remembers me!

Excellent all around. The Southern Benny was loved by 4 of our party, as were the pancakes, French toast, and waffle. They were very busy, but the service was excellent. Plenty of coffee! We came on the recommendation of a friend and will definitely be back to work our way through more of the extensive menu.

The California Avocado Toast with fried eggs, tomatoes and bacon on multigrain bread was really nice and a lot of food, so enough leftovers for lunch. Service was great and the waitstaff were super! Lots of seating so no wait even on Sunday morning.

Solid diner food. Very fast service.

Ate with a group. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. This spot is a bit pricey for a diner but the portions are also quite large.

Whenever in town we always make time to eat here. Good food and service.

Took a long time to have my order taken.Took exceptionally long for food to arrive.When it did, I only got one of the three dishes ordered.So basically, the first dish sat and got cold.I asked the greeter to send to manager to my table which did not happen. I had to go up front and find him myself.Manager tried to appease me by giving me an extra order of chicken fingers. When the rest of the food did arrive the order was wrong.Long story short, absolutely no tip for waiter.

BEST place to eat around kingston!!!! Menu is huge and every single thing tastes like heaven. My bf and I eat here at least once a week. Staff are all very friendly as well :)

Great food every time I go there

Late evening dinner on the way back from the Big E fair in Mass. I just had a sandwich & fries... Service was excellent.

Weve been consistently coming to KVD (Kings Valley Dinerfor nearly 9 years. Service is always really good and food is as well (weve had the occasional flop, but thats to be expected). Highly recommend the Mac and cheese balls appetizer (Dont forget to try the tomato cream sauce they come with!), the pancakes, and any of the wraps.

I usually never leave bad reviews- but I’m hoping this catches the eye of management. I ordered lunch to my office for myself and my co worker. 2 buffalo chicken wraps- was very clear about one with ranch and one with blue cheese. I got the order- nothing was labeled. I took the wrong wrap since they looked the exact same (a chuck of blue cheese fell out- gross). I called back to ask what happened and why nothing was labeled. The girl who answered was the phone was beyond rude- checked with the kitchen and told me one had a tooth pick in it and that’s the one with ranch & that I should know that (even tho she didn’t even know that). She told me that’s how they label… they use tooth picks. Refused to offer a solution ( I would just like lunch??& told me I should have looked before I took a bite… although nothing was labeled & they look exactly the same. I will never order from here again. I’m not even upset about my lunch- just about the rudest customer service I ever experienced. 0/5

This place is usually great, but not today. Was there an ownership change or something? We were seated by a dour hostess who took her time and forgot a set of silverware, anyway. We were ignored for a solid 10 minutes without a glass of water or anything. Waitress FINALLY came over and it took another 10 minutes to get drinks. I considered going to the busser station to grab my own water. He was cleaning tables and gave others water, but not us. Food finally came and was ok. Took another 5 minutes to get syrup for pancakes. Asked the waitress for more drinks and napkins and you would think I asked her for a million dollars. When we checked out, the man at the register couldnt stop his conversation for 2 minutes to take our money. He gave me the receipt to sign and I fumbled for my own pen because the only one in their cup was a highlighter. He saw this and put more pens in the cup but did not bother to give one to me. Not one person thanked us as we left. Very, very disappointed. I will stick with my gut and go elsewhere next time.

A nice variety of delcious food choices. Fast and friendly service. Reasonably priced too.

Food is always so good, their Cole slaw is the only kind ill eat! Customer service is usually very good as well.

The price on the paninnis went up and the amount of fries went down... and they always forget to add the bacon and sundried tomatoes. Officially done after 4 mess ups and 2 price hikes

Back in the day... would totally be the best diner in the area... but times change... along with prices, menu, serving sizes also changing. The place does look amazing especially post renovation a few years back... and parking is fortunately hardly ever an issue...One glaring change I personally dislike is the move to serving fries in little grocery carts... this trendy edit is no bueno... you get half of the amount of fries you used to get for the same price if not more... I just hope they dont fully transition into serving food on non standard "plates"...

Usually good today not to good our food was cold and soggy we got a buffalo chicken wrap and a gyro the gyro came with no sauce the waitress never came back to see how things were or if we wanted anything else or even to bring us a check.

The place had 6 tables 1/2 hr for 4 top order .received cold fries so they refryed them not new ones paid 12.99 for meal real nice how cheap can you be .Get new help if they can give you hot food.

In the age of fast food this diner stands above other restaurants in the area for their attention to detail and options to pick up or stay in and enjoy your food and time. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap after a friend had suggested it, and there’s a perfect blend of chicken and spices that were very savory. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Today, while in Kingston, we decided to eat lunch somewhere different so we tried the Kings Valley Diner. What a great choice! As we entered the diner, we were pleasantly greeted and seated. Our waitress Linda was friendly and attentive. We ordered a turkey panini w/curly fries, chicken soup, fried chicken w/mashed potatoes, corn and biscuits. The food presentation was wonderful, everything appeared homemade, and the overall taste of food was delicious. As an added bonus, there was enough for both of us to take home leftovers. I highly recommend the Kings Valley Diner and will be going back the next time in Kingston.

Was visiting the area this past week and tried several diners while there. This diner was the best out of the 5 that I tried. The chicken soup was the best out of all 5. Clean, more updated and tasteful. Staff was friendly but on the slower inattentive side and they appeared to have a good amount of staff so no workers was not the problem. Definitely a must try if in the area and you have time to sit a bit.

Horrible experience. Food took over 1/2 hr to arrive. The restaurant was busy, but the order was eggs, over easy and corned beef hash. Should not take 30 minAlso a patron was allowed to have his phone on speaker at a close booth, having a conversation you could hear over trying to speak to someone youre eating with. Wont be going back anytime soon

Big servings and yummy food. Enjoyed the food we ordered. Better than usual diner food. Our waiter was pleasant and accommodating. Well be back next time were in the area.

Been going here for years. Teddy runs a tight ship. And his staff is the best. Had a late Easter dinner with our son and girlfriend.

For my personal Diner Inspection, I look for 2 things right away: 1aside from being extremely busy, are they clean? 2Do they make a good Sauage Gravy & Biscuits? KVD smoked both tests, and on top of that had great service, staff and prices. Highly recommended.

Waited 15 minutes . Flagged a blond and a brunette waitress. Were ignored until finally th e bus man cam to or rescue and finally a great waiter who had just come on calmed us down and took out order. Didnt work. My wife has Alzheimers and kvd is one of the few places she can still feel comfortable in. Thats over now thanks to the waitresses who were so rude to an ill woman.

WAFFLES AND CALAMARI!!!!Been here a few times for breakfast and once for dinner while visiting family. They have a very large menu so there is sure to be something for everyones taste. My nieces and I love their great waffle selections, we had the fried calamari for appetizers on our dinner trip and it is so good that we now have it at every visit, even with our breakfast. Service is also great and the food come out timely and in large portions.

Hit or miss. The food has always been good. The customer service is another story. After finding our utensils to be dirty we asked for plastic. The woman behind the counter gave us utensils not in plastic and there was hair all over them. After a manager of some sort saw us telling her we didn’t want the hair filled utensils, and to give us some wrapped in plastic she did. The moral of the story is, there should be more consideration when dealing with people customer service wise. When we ordered the service was fast and great. When it was time for the check, the waiter took forever to come back. 4 stars for the food. 3 stars for the service.

Great meal. Well portioned, and fresh. Diner looks very modern. Staff was polite and helpful, but very quick once food came to not check in if we needed anything else(napkins, condimentsI assume its a new staff, and during covid its been hard everywhere, so I cant necessarily knock the business. Would love to come back here in the future.

I went back and forth over 3 or 4 stars. So really I would give Kings a 3.5 stars. I have been eating there for years. No place is perfect and Kings has had a few stumbles with us over the years. But minor issues that didnt keep us away.The employees have almost always been good. The food is usually good. But a little pricey. Not overly expensive, but by no means inexpensive. It is a fairly large diner, but still small enough to not feel overwhelmed . It can get a little noisy when busy. A decent place to eat.Kings is actually my close second choice for a diner in the close area. But I do eat there. Its also my first choice when with a larger group.Worth a try.

Recently came here after a gathering nearby, and I must say that the food was amazing. Their omelettes are hearty and plentiful, the eggs benedict was done perfectly, and their French toast sticks are a nice in-between to excite the palate. Service was nice and courteous. Diner was clean. And even as the breakfast rush crowd began to fill in, I never felt unsafe. Booths are separated by glass partitions (kids in the booth behind you cant be nosey), and the tables seemed clean and dirt/smudge free. I will definitely go again, and I recommend that you try this out yourself :)

I’ve been here a handful of times, the waiters can be a little snippy on occasion but the food is good and the wait is never long. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a diner.

Party of 6. Started out fine. We were seated immediately, but the staff was not very attentive after that. Slow, slow service! Took forever to place our order, and it wasnt complicated... Received the appetizer in fairly good order. Then after another 30 minutes, we went to check on the rest of the order. Finally, it was on its way to the table. I dont think the restaurant was short staffed; we just didnt get into their "routine ", and at first it wasnt clear who our server was.The most attention we received was when we were leaving, and our server offered a plastic bag for our leftovers. She finally smiled, and was pleasant as we left.This was our second time at this Diner. The first was many months ago, and the service was just fine..same number of people, same type food order.We will probably return when we are visiting the area because the food is good, and the prices..reasonable.

5 ⭐️ Bravo. We met up with our daughter to have a leisurely lunch. For starters, our Server Kellie was outstanding. I can’t say enough positive things about her. You can tell this wasn’t her first rodeo….her patience, her smile, her personality and her promptness was an utmost. Thank you Kellie. Now for the food…. The menu has a full variety, the portions are very generous and prices are good! Not to mention that the food was all delicious! I had ordered the Spanikopita(Spinach pieand it comes with a delicious Greek salad I’ve had this at other restaurants and I must say “This Was The Best Spinach pie I have ever eaten”. My husband and daughter really enjoyed their lunch as well. We will definitely be back. Thank you again!!!

While the inside of the restaurant is nice our waitress had the personality of a dead fish and the home made corned beef hash🤢🤮 Id rather eat dog food. Eggs were undercooked bacon could chip a tooth and the home fries were not cooked all the way. Only moist part of the toast is the center where they put the butter DO NOT eat here unless you want your taste buds to be offended

Food was good but had to take it to go due to wait time. Manager and waitress were very nice and apologetic. They Gave us a 15% discount as a good gesture 👍!! Was a little frustrating because it was the first lunch with my mother in years! People that came in after us got there food first. Obviously a break down in communication or a simple mistake. Hope they fix it, would like to din there again.

Perfect service great food.... There was an elderly gentleman that was obviously a regular sitting in front of us. The waitresses and the hostess were so sweet to him. Once they knew he was leaving they all came to say " goodbye, goodnight and cant wait to see you tomorrow." The hostess even assisted him to the register. It was nice to see so much kindness in this crazy world we are living in. Especially towards our seniors. Thank you to the staff for making his day and mine brighter with your kindness.

The food was delicious. Everything I ordered was cooked fresh and immediately plated and sent to our table. Im not a fan of diners based upon my past experience. Im extremely grateful that my son treated us to breakfast there. Ill definitely return again.

Came to visit family. Were from California. One stop shop if no one can decide what they want to eat. Menu has a lot of variety and the prices are very reasonable. Pay as little or as much as you like and the food is served in good portions. Staff is also friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Easily rivals Michaels diner down the street. The décor inside is all new, and the whole place shines. It gets busy at peak hours, but its worth the wait.
