Fraser Ave, Perth WA 6005, Australia, Perth
Landscaped park, overlooking the Swan river, with honour avenues plus war and historic memorials.
A wonderful showcase of the local flora of WA, along with arguably one of the most stunning and important views of this state. If youre visiting Perth for a short stay, this is a must visit.
The garden is really great. Lots to see and lots of differnet native plants and trees. It is a very large park.
A lovely stroll through the different areas, paths, rotundas and water areas. Beautiful view of the Swan river from the Bridge!
Beautiful Spring flowers, easy walking trails. Allow 2 hours to fully enjoy the trail. Recommend the detour to the reflection section. Bathrooms are located at the information center and drinking water fountains along the trail
A spacious, neat and relaxing park which offers spectacular view of the city overlooking the river! It is free to visit the Kings Park and this park is also a home to over 3000 species of flora. The park is open all day long only certain parts will be closed at night.Highly recommend this lovely part to anyone who is looking for a relaxing evening stroll!
Lovely place to visit, particularly during the wildflower season. Lots of lovely walks and love the magnificent view towards Perth City.
Beautiful and expansive park easy to spend a whole day here, many long walks, scenic views and a large water fountain, great for a family picnic day, plus lots of photograph opportunities.
Absolutely beautiful.Be prepared to spend a whole day wondering around.Or you can pack a basket and find a nice spot to chill.Just take note. Some washroom have specific timings and maybe be a challenge to find sometimes.
Ive visited Kings Park many times across the years, and each time it becomes more impressive. Since my last visit quite a number of years ago, numerous improvements have been made to lookouts, walk trails, signage, and the park areas and facilities. A spectacular place to visit with beautiful views, lots to explore, and impressive facilities, including multiple options for grabbing a bite to eat. It can be very busy at times, and the main parking lots can get full at certain times of the day, as we experienced on our visit. But its well worth coming here, and not just visiting the main area, but exploring other areas of the park as well.
Just an awesome view, with all the flowers out. Great gift shop, plenty to see and buy.
Always have fun here. Today I spent a day riding around the park. Lovely wildflowers at this time of year. So much you can do - food, coffees, icecream, restaurants, tours, picnics, botany, war memorials, play grounds, spectacular city views, weddings, gardens, fitness such as jogging, cycling, tennis. Come and spend some time here! Buses including the free Blue Cat access the park.
If ever there is a park you have to visit this is the one. Magnificent view at the top. Abundance fauna. Its spring time and the flowers are everywhere.
Can park and walk around (lots of walking tracksor drive and park different sections. Lots of spots to sit and chill (could bring a picnic). Dogs welcome. Found best to arrive early for easier parking.
Bad experience in the past had me stressing about the car the whole time and I would have expected extra security increased in that time but at the end if the day thats not on kinds park. It gets a 5 star as the wild garden plus views of the city can leave you in aww. I love to see heritage of the Aboriginal culture creep in to their design. Did I mention its amazing at both night and day. The anzac memorial is perfect for respect. Its always a must to visit kings park if your visiting Perth.
Great place to visit, for both locals or visitors. All seasons. Beautiful wildflowers.
Its Kings Park. I dont know what else needs to be said😚Fantastic view, the park itself is very big so its nice to walk around.Perfect for a walk day or night👫Would also recommend a little picnic :)Parking spaces available but might be hard to find during busy times.
Fantastic experience at the Rio Tinto Naturescape in Kings Park. We were there when it was drizzling rain and everyone in our group from the 3yr old to the 68yr old still had an adventurous and wonderful time. The facilities are spectacular, easy to navigate but still challenging, and you feel like you could keep exploring for days.
Awesome views and photography opportunities worthy of those seeking to complete their visit to Perth. The variety of plants to see are fantastic.
Absolutely perfect place for a stroll to enjoy the amazing weather in Perth and to view the city. Best to arrive early to secure parking as it is very popular with families.
Really huge garden with the great views! Lot of walkways under fresh asmosphere with lovely plants all around.
Cool, cloudy day.Lawns green, trees and flora in flower, birds singing. Numerous walkers, families having picnics and cafes doing brusque business.Large amenities area at rear of cafes, ramps to cafes and visitor centre.Beautiful views of rivers, Perth City and memorials.
Beautiful Gardens with are a credit to Perth, well worth a visit for a few hours. Excellent views over parts of the city from here.
A most beautiful place. Great views of the city. Flora is exceptional. Walk for miles in comfort. Good eating cafes too.
My grandaughter and i had 4 hrs to fill in while her brother was in hospital..what a beautiful place to spend it...clean..fun..all ages..loved it ..cafe was lovely for a rest and cuppa...well done Perth
Great place for a pleasant stroll, either alone or with family. Best to visit the shops and information center first, as maps are nearly essential for making the most out of your visit. The signs on the path can be far apart and may not include all the places youre looking to visit. The views are majestic, and the greenery is unmatched.
Well maintained and just next to Perth CBD. We took the Zamia path into the Botanical Gardens after visiting the Blue Boat House, which was just opposite the park. Its really worth a trip here for tourist as the park has amazing array of Australian flora, small birds and views overlooking Perth City and the waterways. Cat bus (free busstation just in front of park. Prepare to spend a good 2 hours to enjoy the serene grounds of the park.
Nice place to visit with family, have a nice walk or to run like me. Lots of small trails to discover. I simply love it
A beautiful and a nice place widely spread for few kms. We can view the city view from here. A great place for photography. Nice place for a family picnic. The view in the night time is colourful with lights.
Really huge park with lots of scenic views, places to sit, flora and fauna to explore, and paths to walk on - all for free! Perfect for families, with a clean and friendly environment. Great place to take pictures of oneself and of the landscapes around. I went there as a tourist and I believe it is a must-visit if youre in Perth.
How can I describe this huge park? No wonder its a must-visit while in Perth! You can see the complete view of Perth CBD and Swan River at the park. Definitely recommended 👌 It has also a few trails to walk (even almost like youre doing bush walking).
Kings Park and Botanic GardenVisited on 25/5/2022It is a very, very big park, 400.6 hectares to be precise. It has picturesque background of the Swan River and Perth city skyline. The park incorporates the State War Memorial and Botanic Garden. It is not a floral garden as such, and therefore it lacks the colour and vibrance. Nonetheless, it is still a great park in the Perth city, with vast area of green "manicured" lawn. The Botanic Garden are "zoned" with different types of plants of Australian origin.Besides being easily accessible, it has plenty of carparks. One can also take a break and have a cuppa and snack at the Cafe.
Been here a few times, brought friends and family, they loved it! Great place for a morning picnic. The view is perfect. 😌
Amazing views and the parks are stunning. Fantastic for the family day out with BBQs and plenty of room for outdoor gatherings
What a great park and gardens.Really well looked after and the views of Perth and the Swan River are magnificentWatched the Anzac Day Dawn service which was very moving.Good cafes and a great place to spend some time.
Large, open gardens with many pavilions and points of interest, located on a bluff overlooking the city. Plenty of vehicle parking with direct access to pavilions and garden walks. Kiosk, restaurant and gift shop. The gardens are worth a visit if only for the views over the Swan River and the CBD.
A must do when visiting Perth. Park the car and go for a leisurely walk along the paths. Lovely cafe for morning coffee. Great views from the park.
Probably the best place to view Perth skyline and Swan River. We went there during weekends so we had to struggle for parking spot but once we got there the picturesque view was just mesmerising. Definitely a must visit place in Perth.
Nice view of the CBD.Quiet and shaded paths are great for running and walking. The family picnic lawn is very cozy and open.
Its probably the best area of Perth. Lots of walking, great views, chilled atmosphere. Need a few visits to really appreciate. Morning afternoon or evening a good place to go. Take a picnic and a cold bottle of your favourite tipple!
Shady trees, cool breeze, perfect picnic or just for long leisurely stroll together or with family. We enjoyed the scenery and views of Perth city. Clean facilities and friendly atmosphere. We rode on the sightseeing red bus.Definitely worth a visit.
Kings Park has also been a great place for us to take our friends from overseas who were visiting us at the time to show them the great city of Perth, the most isolated capital city in the world! Its also great to take pictures of Perth city Skyline when the whole city is lit while the sky is not too dark. And also a great place to watch the fireworks on Australia Day!But this is the 1st time we came back to see this great place during the pandemic after being overseas for 11 years and had to go through all the hurdles, restrictions and PCR & Antigen tests before being able to take the opportunity to take pictures of the park again!
Went to Midsummer nights dream performed by Fremantle theatre company in the amphitheatre. Great location easy parking and short walk to amphitheatre. Toilet facilities , easy professional check in for events. Beautiful location
The whole Kings Park Botanic Garden is very beautiful with stunning views of the city while you are walking along the walk ways and the amazing sky walk. It’s an easy walk through your also! The war memorial is in a stunning location and so well done. Amazing gardens and views. The park looks over the Perth skyline and the swan and canning river. The botanical garden hosts a range of plants from each WA region. The park also pays tribute to the ANZACs with many memorials. Points of interest are the federation walkway and the DNA tower. For a challenge you can walk the Kokoda stairs or Jacobs Ladder. For refreshments or something to eat there is Frasers cafe. There’s also lots of lovely picnic spots.
Perfect location for a picnic on Christmas day. There were few people around, lots of birds to observe. The gardens are immaculate collections of native plants from all over the state. Magnificent.
We acknowledge the Nyungaar people and their elders past present and upcoming as the original and traditional custodians of the land on which the park was built. Stunning park with such a diverse array of flora and includes spectacular views. It also has very good walking trails that are ok for varying abilities … there’s a good couple restaurants and it’s also a great place for weddings.
Had a lovely day with my family at Kings Park. The view of our beautiful city perched on the edge of the Swan is always pleasing to the eye. The gardens are very colourful at the moment. We always feel very rejuvenate after a good walk through Kings Park.
Great views of Perth and the river. Well presented botanical gardens, with useful information dotted throughout. Very busy at lunchtime, plenty of parking throughout, but not necessarily where you want it, so you may have to walk a bit.
Such a lovely family friendly place. Very well maintained. I feel very safe there. Good clean bathroom facilities. Nice place for a cuppa. The kids water playground area is magical. Great gift store.
Literally too many photos of beautiful flowers to upload all of the best ones here - every photo I took turned out extraordinary!Go see the flowers! The botanical section will take your breath away! And if youre able to, get a guided tour with one of the knowledgeable volunteers!Spring has sprung, and so have the flowers of Kings Park! 🍃🌷🌼🌸🐝
