Generous plates of traditional American fare round out the menu at this down-to-earth restaurant.
This place is in my top 3 best breakfast spots in town! Delicious food, great pricing.
We had their fish and it was delicious! Also best creamy coleslaw around.
Love this place! Great breakfast for the cost and many options! Even some gluten free items like French toast. Been here at least a dozen times now
Went there for lunch and ordered the corned beef hash skillet with over easy eggs. It arrived with one of the eggs cooked over easy and one over hard. Corned beef hash looked like it would be crispy but it was actually pasty like they added water to it or something. Maybe they popped it in the microwave before bringing it to me. Toast on the side was soggy.Customers were mostly elderly. These folks deserve better tasting food than what was served. Wont be back.
Food & Service is Always Great Guys!But... Its time for a refresh. Start with that carpet in the dining area & work your way up. The chairs & booths all need wiping down & dusting & the cealing panels & vents need to be cleared of debris. Im kinda beginning to wonder what might be falling in my food. Otherwise, always a great dining experience. Thanks for listening π
Would have given 0 Stars but it wouldnt let me. Paid $20 for 2 breakfasts. I had Eggs Benedict. Worst breakfast ever. My husband picked it up. The eggs were overcooked, the English muffin wasnt toasted and I dont know what the sauce was but it sure wasn t a decent Hollandaise sauce. The hash browns were overcooked, crumbly, dry and tasted like old, rancid oil.We dont order out much and Ill never order from them again. This was suppose to be a special treat and I couldnt even eat it so not only did I waste my money but Im also still hungry. I wouldnt even give any of it to my dog.
Good food and good service consistently but no atmosphere just a diner for breakfast or lunch.
Very good service, fairly extensive menue options. Reasonable prices and wonderfull service. This is a Family resturant, a short child selection.
Great place for breakfast. Fast service, good food. Wish I were in the area more often, so I could try them for lunch and dinner.
I love the food, the service, the people and the atmosphere! Everyones very friendly and the food is to die for! Especially their pancakes! If youre from out of town, dont miss this place or youll regret not tasting wonderful kitchen food!
Had to wait a little while to be seated BUT that was because they are so popular and have such good food! Friendly staff and excellent service!
Awesome food and service. Never disappoints.
Ordered biscuits and gravy through eat street biscuit so hard it broke my fork. I let both know. Credit and came back for order to reprimand cook. Check your deliveries do your not left unsatisfied and hungry.
Awesome food. Great prices. Do I even need to say more?! Always my 1st choice.
Always very good food, VERY friendly staff..love eating here. So glad they made it thru 2020
Exceptional food and service. I recommend this restaurant. Its my favorite in town
Great neighborhood restaurant with an old school atmosphere. They do breakfast and lunch, plus an extensive menu. Well worth a stop. Really good food at good prices. Staff is very polite and down home friendly. Clean place and a nice place all around.
Food was delicious! Service was great!I have never been anywhere with a menu with so much to choose from!
Great local diner. Loved it mostly because the food was NOT greasy. Yummy breakfast food & sandwiches. Friendly service & open tables for COVID-19 spacing.
Excellent food and service! They were very busy but that didnt stop them from being able to make sure the food was fresh and hot and the waitress was awesome!
Always good food, friendly service. They have done an AWESOME JOB during the pandemic, giving customers a sense that they are safe eating in this restaurant. Ive actually tipped the cooks for making me a perfect breakfast!!!!
I always loved the food here. except this last time I went they didnt have the buffet. sad but its okay. food and staff was great like always. except the fact that a few customers were constantly staring at our table.
Food was excellent, menu had a great variety for all! We had take out, and it was hot and delicious when we got it home!
Still a bit iffy on eating in restaurants during COVID times, but my father LOVES King Street Kitchen & wants to eat here at any chance. And honestly, I love it too. The food is always tasty, the staff is always extremely friendly & courteous. They even brought out a candle in a muffin for someones birthday the day I visited (much to his embarrassment & his companys glee). Overall a warm, friendly environment with great food, great staff & just great experiences.
La Crosse has many great american-style diners. King Street Kitchen is just okay when compared to others. The food is good, the servers were polite and very attentive, and the prices are fine. However, the dining room looks very dated and is not particularly tidy. Renovating the dining room would go a long way to improve the dining experience.
Ho there! King street kitchen is a real decent place for a good breakfast. There food was very good, service was nice, and perfect portion sizes. The one thing I will say is it feels just like every other breakfast chain, i.e. perkins, dennys, ECT. Its definitely cleaner but I still felt like Id just walked into an IHOP.
The Hostess is the bestest she bent over backwards for us for breakfast the other day ordered the king skillet I think it was anyway really good food good service then we went to the riverside park and had A breakfast picnic in front of the Mississippi
Ordered a tuna melt. The sandwich was cold. Ordered a bread pudding to go it wasnt that great and the whole bill with a cheeseburger fries and a tuna melt and fries came to $35 which I feel is quite a bit of money for what we got. Also the service was very slow. Wont be going back anytime soon
Ive been going to King Street kitchen for 20+ years and the food and service remains impeccable. Its a place that I know that anything I order on the menu is going to be good and served fresh. The staff is always friendly, the service speedy, and the place kept clean.
Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was slow for a place that wasnt busy. There were three servers and neither one could figure out who was suppose to wait in us. Once a server took our order the wait for food was short
The food was good for what it was. However if you like Cuban sandwiches you wont get one here. (It was tasty, just not a Cuban but I mean its Wisconsin so theres that.)
Had a large group (about 20). Were supposed to get the back room but there was another group that wasnt done yet. They were still able to accommodate us after a little table rearranging. Staff was very friendly and food was good. Prices are very reasonable.
Loved everything about this place! I stopped in with my Mom for a bite to eat and we had never been there. Our servers name was Karrington and she was amazing! Great smile and attitude and we are sure you stop back again! Thank you to the owners for keeping a place so family friendly!
Good food. Good variety. Great staff and prices
I ordered steak and eggs and it was good, but the steak was small and very fatty, I wish they couldβve made a better piece of meat for me but overall it was a fairly decent meal. The service was good and the waiter was attentive. One critique though, they gave me the check before I was even remotely done eating, I hadnβt had time to order theyβre legendary dessert :(7/10
Waitress need to be concerned about all customers not just some customers that she waits on I feel she need a little bit more experience but a personality is great and she has a beautiful smile so that kind of helps but she just need to be a little bit more outgoing at .her job duties
Food and service were great. Hadnt been here in awhile. Had an issue with the bill and our coupon. The hostess argued with my Fiance about how to handle the tax on the bill with the coupon. She kept saying that is how the owner taught me and would not listen. Doubt well be back unfortunately.
We go to King Street at least once, either to dine in or to order take out. Enjoy the Food and the staff. Our two favorite staff members are Robin and Angela. Both of them are wonderful and very friendly with everyone who comes there. Angela is so awesome and now since I am on a low sodium intake she is great at recommendations of different foods that are healthy to eat here. The other reason, that I like about coming here they know where we prefer to sit,and they are wonderful about taking a chair away from our usually so that I am able to use my walker at the table. They also have a small table setup with homemade sugar cookies and banana bread on for coustmers to buy at a very reasonable price. Earl, makes these delicious homemade bake goodies. When we dine in, I always buy something off the table and many times I buy both the cookies and banana bread because they are very delicious and they seem to be calling my name to buy and take home for a sweet nutrition snack. There is never a wait and the service is friendly plus they all make it a wonderful welcome. The decore is warm and you would think this was your kitchen that like yours at home..Thanks everyone at King Street for making us feel like your family.Ron and Linda Adams
Food was excellent. Coffee was hot and strong. The waitress was swamped so she automatically brought an entire pot & extra creamer!!! My mother didnt leave a tip!!! Wth? Waitresses live off their charm and tips!!! If they deserve it. I always leave a $20 at least. If I have it!; A bad waitress, 2 upside down Pennys. Ok!! But this chick was amazing! I told her manager & let her know Id be back with a tip!!!
I eat here most every time I come up to lacrosse. Super food and super service. I had breakfast this time and everything was great. The hashbrowns were crispy and great with the the over easy eggs.
Stopped in with my uncle today, and we each enjoyed a bread pudding and drink. Delicious. Our server Amy was charming and efficient. Also was reminded of the Friday night and Sunday morning buffets...
Great food in family friendly environment. Excellent service with a smile. Home cooking just like grandma.
Awesome selection of food for every meal, and lots of great daily deals. Also students get a doller off their order with a student ID. Would recommend, have gone multiple times for breakfast and always enjoyed it.
Great good and very friendly servers. I ordered the Mach Omelet and it was delicious! Canβt wait to go back and try something new! Everything on the menu looked so good!
If you arent going to the chicken and fish buffet every Friday then perhaps you may want to pass KS Kitchen up. The service is friendly, however, one does not get a lot of food for the price per plate. The quality of food served is palatable but nothing to write home about. A specific problem Ive had on multiple occasions is that when asking for water with lemon, I will be given a packet of lemon juice... sooooo no real lemons? It makes me wonder about other cost saving measures they are practicing. It is astonishing that they remain a staple of downtown dining.
Despite the older grandmotherish feel to it. This small diner is usually packed in the morning & for good reason. They have a great breakfast menu that was well thought out. Even though it was a little bit of a longer wait. The food was worth it. πππ
Great stop with the family! Perfect size portions, the food tasted fantastic, and the coleslaw and meatloaf was fantastic! The kids loved the pizza, French toast, and chocolate chip pancakes! The server and staff were also fantastic! A very nice atmosphere for A family stop! A great place to stop when in Lacrosse!
TASTY FOOD, GREAT PRICE! In on a Sunday and super busy and our food and drinks came out lickity split! We had a guy server in back room, no name tag, but he was funny and fantastic! we LOVE THAT place!!!! WE will be back!
Pleasant staff. Mixed review on the food for the buffet. Excellent chicken and fish, by far the stars of the show. Not much selection for a salad or dressings. Mac salad and cole slaw were like soup. Meatballs tasted pre-packaged as were the instant mashed potatoes. The worst thing was the Mac and Cheese. Hope they dont try that again! That is actually something they should have used from a box. The fries were soggy. Perhaps replacing them every 10 minutes or so would be a good thing. Why not put the shrimp sauce and tartar sauce at the end of the buffet line so those of us who like to put it directly on our food can do that? And for 11 bucks, why not offer a choice of soups, especially on a cold night or more than one dessert?!
Me and a friend each had the house special breakfast plate. Everything was good and prepared like we asked. The pancakes were especially tasty. We were well satisfied with the portions and total cost for both specials with coffee was around $19. Service was quick bathrooms were clean.
