Massive park with lush green ground and picturesque views of the world,s tallest fountain in lake of jeddah beach at the beach end of palastine street. Paid washrooms are available in vicinity. Various shops are open for easy access to drinks and snacks. Worth visiting place in jeddah. Weather is pleasant from 5 pm till night during winter months and morning breeze is heart touching throughout year.

Better handout places for kids and family and also for jogging & walking strolls, photography and scenic places are also available, but no washrooms and toilets are available and its locked 🔒🔐 i dont understand whats the purpose of it then, basic facilities and services should improved, eateries and food court must be needed to build, and the other leisure activities like kite 🪁 flying, cycling tracks , skateboard park 🏞️ small area for kids etc should be needed, music 🎼🎶 system or radio 📻🔘 system with important messages and news should needs in the lighting posts, other activities like yoga & meditation should be implemented to promote health care & fitness etc should have to made for attraction and activities.

beautiful place to spend the day at .. its a long stretch with a variety... some areas are dedicated for long walks, jog..some for cycling... some kids area.. they have place for families to sit down and watch the sea..sunset... its beautiful throughout!!

There is no better sound to hear than the ocean ,the wind and the rain all at once ,late at night .The most peaceful place and beautiful weather .Visited last weeks in Covid restrictions, very less crowd enjoyed the time ,usually this place is busy but coz of the restrictions we were lucky enough to enjoy the peace .

Nice place, but prices are overpriced in terms of salesThe beach is full of street vendors. Its difficult. There are parking spaces because of the crowd because it is a vacation. As for the restaurants, we entered a nice Saraya restaurant ... very high prices. Pepsi is a small cup of 14 rials.

My favorite place to visit since I was a child.Even though I live in Jeddah, I havent been to the new beach untill yesterday 2020-FEB.I enjoyed it very much. Its clean and a really good place to relax and hear sound of the waves.

Jeddah Water Fountain, this is one of most tourist place in Saudi Arabia. Very beautiful to see this waterfall and there were also big events with fireworks on the last Saudi national day (23rd Sep. 2019).

The grand fountain was built during the reign of King Fahd ibn Abd al-Aziz, whose honor he was named.

The salt-water fountain was donated to the City of Jeddah by the late King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz.Visible throughout the entire city of Jeddah, the water fountain consists of a single massive plume of water shooting vertically into the air at a speed of 233 miles per hour. On a calm day the water reaches a height of one thousand and twenty-four feet, higher than Paris’ Eiffel Tower (excluding the antenna). At any given moment, the water hanging in the air weighs in excess of eighteen tons (thirty-six thousand pounds)!The first construction of the fountain was developed between 1980 and 1983, after the style of Lake Geneva’s freshwater fountain, which reaches four hundred and sixty feet into the air at speeds of approximately one hundred and twenty-four miles per hour. This scale was found to be insufficiently impressive for planners.The fountain as it stands today began operating in 1985, and has been running without any significant difficulties for over twenty years. A comprehensive maintenance system includes daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, half-yearly and annual inspections and maintenance operations.Because Jeddah’s Fountain operates using sea water running at unusually high speeds; corrosion and abrasion were key challenges to the builders, SETE Technical Services Latsis Group. The intakes for the pumps are in a special pit that is continually pumped dry and treated annually with anti-fouling paint that prevents growth of marine life. The water is passed through a series of screens before it reaches the pumps, filtering out soil, sand, and organic matter. The pipes and pump systems are isometrically designed and made of special stainless steel. Water exits the pumps via a 350 meter high-pressure output line constructed with steadily decreasing diameters towards the nozzles. The nozzles are constructed of a specially designed alloy which can withstand a constant pressure of forty-two bar (over 609 pounds per square inch). The five hundred high-intensity spotlights that illuminate the fountain also had to be specially designed to withstand the constant barrage of thousands of tons of water an hour falling from several hundred feet. The spots are mounted on special islands. A cathodic system was installed in 1987 to protect the pipelines from the corrosive effects of the falling seawater, consisting of fifty-seven anodes and twenty-nine reference electrodes at seventeen points along the system.
