Very nice respectful place to take your family to eat. Servers was great took good care of us. Food was hot and ready. Will bring family here again :)

Great comfort food is all I have to say. I still need to do the breakfast. But lunch and dinner be on POINT.

Food is horrible! If you have never eaten good southern soul food then you will probably be ok with this spot but when you’ve had good authentic southern soul food you would throw this in the garage!

I thought that the vegetable portions were a little small, but, that may be because they were so good. I asked for catfish, but believe that I got swai which some people consider one and the same, but I do not. I will be going back again though!

Small, delicious, great service, and great prices for the portion you get. They even have karaoke on Wednesdays with $1 wings & $3 burgers.

The shrimp and grits were everything! The sausage omelet was heavy with sausage and more than enough. The atmosphere was laid back with good music. Great staff!Would definitely be going back!

I bought a wing dinner on door dash and found a Roach egg in my Mac ‘n cheeseNever again!!!!

Didn’t know what to expect but shrimp & grits sounded good and man! I was not disappointed. The sauce and the cheese and the greens and the cornbread dipped in all of it yumyumyum. Everything is obviously homemade from somebody’s grandma’s recipes, seasoned perfectly, hot and fresh. The people working were happy and friendly and that’s how I knew before I took the first bite that it was gonna be fire. Try this place! You’ll be glad you did.

My chicken I got yesterday about 3:30 was dry and bland. Maybe it was the cook or maybe cause they was closing early....

Food is really good. There are times when the business closes 30 minutes to a couple hours earlier than the hours posted. Not sure why.

The food was fresh small portions for the priceAssociates arent very engaged, I mentioned it was my first time unfamiliar with the options and just stood there until I figured it out

I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before. Fried chicken is my favorite food and I’ve been on a quest to find the best fried chicken in KC. I think I found it. Crispy juicy but not greasy with a great seasoning in it. They had kind of cornbread that is cooked like a pancake and served with honey that was amazing. And the service was super friendly. I’ll be back.

Fantastic service and food at this local gem. Perfectly priced. Breakfast and dinner served all day. Will definitely be back!

5 stars for the fact that when I walked in I could feel the love and positive energy!I didnt get the pleasure of eating here but I was working a Door dash; just picking up an order for delivery. But the food smelt amazing and the prices were easy on the pocket!BUTTThe love and prompt attention was incredible. I hope to make it back that way soon to actually try the food to post a review for that as well...but I pick up from many restaurants, and the love and great energy in yalls was outstanding and something that many restaurants dont possess.So whatever heart you have going on I hope yall never lose! I would like to post a picture of what they just tried to serve me and my family I was taught that presentation is everything especially with food and from far as I seen with my food very low and the smell terrible and I wouldnt dare taste it and it wouldnt come back again ever and would not recommend

My very honest review:Started out, Hubby and I had a craving for Chicken &Waffles! So, (per their menuOrdered 2 Wings & waffles and Wings & French Toast on 3rd order for a co-worker who preferred French toast over the waffle. I also order chicken and dressing for a later lunch. I called the restaurant to make sure that they put syrup with our order because of past inadequacies from other restaurants. I was told by the person on the phone that they would make sure. We get the order and NO WAFFLES, BUT PANCAKES! WHO EATS CHICKEN & PANCAKES?!?!? We were all very disappointed to say the least! I called the restaurant back, no answer assuming they had caller ID and knew that they didn’t have waffles when I called about the syrup. 🤨😏 And on top of that the food wasn’t seasoned very well, so I WILL NOT be patronizing this restaurant ever again! I spent $75 including tip for a waste of my calorie consumption for the day!

Service was great, dining area was clean, and food was pretty good. Fried chicken and meat loaf was good. The pork chops were slightly overdone. Great atmosphere all around. Love listening to some old school R&B jams. Worth stopping by if you’re passing through.

This place is a dream come true 🤤. We had breakfast there yesterday and it was the best we’ve ever had. I ordered the country fried steak, with scrambled eggs and fried potatoes, I loved it!. My husband ordered chicken and waffles, I still can’t decide which one was best, booth were delicious!!!! My daughters ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs, I couldn’t believe it when I saw they finished their food!! They never ever finish anything, my 3 yr old was even eating from my plate 😅. The service is just as good as the food, the ambience is great and you can just feel how happy everyone is. I wish I could come here every week.

It may seem like a little hole in the wall but the restaurant was very clean the service was exceptional and the food was delicious definitely would go back!

I worked for Kings Table about 4 years ago. To this day not only have I never had a better peach cobbler, but Ive also never had a more enjoyable work experience or a better boss than Mr. White. I miss a lot of things about kings table and Im always happy when I see them thriving. 10/10 would and do recommend to anybody. If u looking for a real southern hot meal yes it taste just like auntie or grandma cooking but its made alright for king to go to sleep when hes done 😂 cause it was so good no grease foods or sugary just right 😋

The meatloaf was good but for 3$ I expected more mash potatoes and the black eyed peas are not seasoned enough and they taste like they been sitting out.

Usually I have no complaints about this placeBut, today attitude in the kitchen and attitude service is not a good combination for delivery of your supposed to be hot delicious meal.I know they will get it together and reward the better service they provide usually.

The food is absolutely delicious. They have vegetarian options. Portions are filling. I was greeted and seated in the most pleasant manner. My server was a true delight. This is one of the unsung soul food restaurants in Kansas City. The Kings Table should have lines down the street daily. Stop on by and enjoy a truly pleasant experience

e are here in Missouri visiting due my sister falling ill. Not having to worry about cooking and seeing such kindness helped so much!! Our waitress Ella gave EXCELLENT customer service. Food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I recommend this place and will be returning again.

Since my mom past I have been craving soul food. Well I am sad I wont be coming here again. This place is just ok. The mac n cheese is watery. The dressing taste just like sage. The greens taste like they were seasoned in prison. I support black business but the food here is awful. Just cook at home save your money.

Simple yet good food at a great price. Ive been here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed and always treated well. When I bring my daughter, they always make her feel like a princess!

I can honestly say this is the absolute best food I have ever eaten. Pork chops, greens, Mac and cheese, corn bread dressing, yams for breakfast and it was fresh all was INCREDIBLE! The manager told me they have been in business for 6 years! This place is a hidden treasure. I consider myself somewhat of a foodie and I am very picky. I took members of my Gospel Choir to Kings Table on the Martin Luther King Holiday. We had a great fellowship. The restaurant had a long table in the middle that accommodated 20 people and side tables for the overflow. The service was quick, the food was delicious, the waitress were kind and service orientated. They handled our group with no errors with our multiple orders. The owner- Mr. White found time to greet our group and welcomed us to come back. I ordered the Early Bird breakfast with coffee. I will be back in the next few days.

Definitely a must go to if your in Kansas City. The soulfood is like mama used to make. The service is excellent shot out to KB and Ella seen in picture. Great black owned and operated business that will not disappoint you. This is the soulfood restaurant where you can listen to the classic music of Whispers, OJays, Regina Bell and much more.

This place right here! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The people and service is GREAT! Even with masks on you knew there was a continuous smile behind it. The food will not disappoint extremely flavorful and seasoned to a T!! Reminds me of my Grandma cooking. My husband and I came in to KC for a Sunday night Chiefs game. We stopped in before the game and he ordered neckbone, yams, mac n cheese, greens and I had fried pork chops, black eyed peas and cabbage. Baaaby ... PERFECTION. Hats off to the Chefs!!. So good we returned the next day before heading home to STL for more. Breakfast, my husband had bacon/sausage, egg and potatoes and me, I had SHRIMP AND GRITS. All I can say Mmmm Mmmm Mmm. I even took some of this home cooked good food home to my Moma. If youve eaten here before, you know exactly what Im talking about. If youve never been - stop in and give them a try, I promise, you will leave full and with a satisfied belly. We will definitely visit Kings Table Soul Food when we visit KC again. Long weekend in KC, best meal I had by far. Amazing fried chicken, awesome sides, cornbread was off the hook! Dont sleep on the sweet tea either.

The food is the tastiest in kcmo. I give three stars because the owner is not personable. A coupon service sent me to this restaurant. Otherwise I wouldnt have tried it. The owner did not fully honor the coupon. So he cheated me with final price. So due to that he lost a customer. Food is highly expensive. So no loss 2 me.

The collard greens and sweet potatoes were sooo delicious!!! I am sooo glad my boyfriend found this wonderful place!!! Were going back for sure! UPDATED: SO went back and tried their chicken alfredo and it was the most 🔥 alfredo I have EVER had!!! Omg I couldnt believe it! I thought I made some good alfredo! But no! The flavor was outrageously on point!!! I am most definitely going back to see what else they got!!!

This place has the trifecta. Good food, good value, and good people. I had a great experience, the burger was very good and those onion rings were one of my favorites. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. It was very welcoming.Its very close to Research Medical Center, so I highly recommend if you are there and need some good soul food.

If it were possible, I would rate this restaurant more than 5 stars! My husband and I spent the weekend in KC and planned on giving this place a try on Friday night, based upon all the great google reviews. Our experience was soooooo great, we went back again for breakfast on Sunday morning! The food was phenomenal! You can taste how everything is made fresh and with love! EVERY single staff member we met made us feel like we had just walked in to a family members home! It is a small, modest restaurant nestled in a humble residential neighborhood. If you ever spend any time in KC you absolutely MUST pay these folks a visit! You are seriously missing out if you dont!! They will fill you tummy to the top and make your heart full as well!

Kings table is awesome soul food. Service was fast, friendly and wonderful. The food is soul soothing food. Employees where smiling and chatting with us. I had the the best greens at any soul food place in town. Hands down, all day. Yams, oxtails, chicken and fish. You meal is going to make you want to keep eating even after you are full. A complete experience right down to the desert. Sunday dinner, or breakfast you will not be disappointed, what you will be is full, of love... which is what soul food is made of. Cozy and intimate i will be stopping in with friends, family or to ordering on a Tuesday night. You will love it i did get the yams and chicken.... omg it is beyond amazing.

Wonderful soul food. I had expected this place to in business for decades. I was surprised and impressed it was founded in 2016. Very friendly service. Huge portions, reasonable prices.The dinner entrees remind me so much of what my grandma used to cook growing up. This is definitely a comfort eating kind of restaurant. I’ve had the meatloaf, smothered pork chops, burgers and more and everything has been great.

I love a crispy on the edge pancakes. The food was good. I plan to go again and try dinner. The services was ok. Not super nice but not rude. I didnt like the beef sausage patty, it didnt have enough seasoning.

The first time I visit this place was two thumbs up and two toes up. 🤤 I came back several times and I started to notice my food was different it still was good but starting being ok, also found out that the cooks was different as well.

Never heard of such thing.Ordered chicken Alfredo & peach cobbler , waited about 15-20 minutes (not bad).Alfredo was okay, nothing to brag about.Cobbler was goodI probably will go back to try something different.
