King's Buffet - Buffet restaurant in Dodge City, United States
Friendly service and were pretty quick to replace food.
Food was nice, but the place needs a good clean
Food was not good, not labeled, place was dirty. Took 3 bites and we could not eat . Charged for 2 buffets even though we explained how poor the food was. Not ever again
I have eaten there many times. As always, it was very good.
Food is pretty well prepared here and presentation is really good
Pretty expensive for such mediocre food. And the restrooms are filthy.
We arrived about 7:40 pm. First a thing I get fried rice then start looking for the general tips chicken, they didnt even have it I was very disappointed so looked around found some broccoli and honey chicken, but no chicken for sweet and sour sauce. Several dishes were empty. Now they did bring 2 things out that were fresh and 1 I had never had, I dont care for coconut shrimp but this had a honey glaze on it and it was fantastic and Hot. The rest of my food was barely warm. Then you tip off a bad experience that I really didnt think could ne worse, at 8:30 some staff started to put chairs up on tables and vacuum carpet while 3-4 sets of customers were still eating! That is a NO-NO!! MY SISTER AMD I FINISHED what we could scarf down before they got to the row of tables 2 ft. From us...we paid and left. Still hungry and bummed cause we thought about it all day long. Gave it 3 stars only because of coconut shrimp in honey glaze sauce!! DELISH!!
Nasty experience. I wouldnt even rather this a one star of I could. When I was a kid I loved this place. Its been since then since I been there, and, wowza, it has gone completely down hill. Overall restaurant was disgusting; my two girls were charged as adults; shellfish food was prepared completely wrong, they didnt keep the buffet stocked, so I didnt get my favorite, General Tso chicken! I will never return. Very Sad!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great. I have to be gluten free and had slight problem ordering sides but,,,what I had was great!!!!
Great variety of yummy food!
Good food but the rice was burnt that day. Everything else was good tho I will go again.
Stopped in for a Wednesday evening meal with my wife and 2 daughters. The food was hot and ready. And it tasted great. Even most of the hot fried items seemed fairly fresh and moist. The only issue we had is my older daughter is 10 but looks older and they chose to charge her as an adult. After asking her age, which I happily paid the higher price. Other than that a good experience, would definitely eat here again.
Pretty damn good and not expensive
Not a good selection of dishes and most was over-cooked and hard to eat.
It was 12.99 per person and they tried to charge me 15.00. They did not want to give me an adjustment for my kids plates. They then wanted to know all my kids ages. Only after 10 mins did she finally adjust one of the kids prices. Not a great experience with poor food quality!
The food was fresh and tasted good. The server busted her butt really hard to maintain standards of cleanliness. Bathrooms were in surprisingly good shape. Would eat here again!
Took my grandma out to eat she enjoyed it but I on the other hand did not. Found a hair in my shrimp after almost through eating it and immediately lost my appetite and wanted to throw up. The rice and noodles were way over sauced and gooey. Only thing good was the sweet and sour chicken and the ice cream. Would not go back unless everything else in town shut down.
Had a good meal but food could have been better varieties. Very friendly servers.
Servers were great but a number of food trays were empty and they were not being refilled. The chair I had was falling apart and could have hurt someone. When I told the staff about it, they didnt even remove the chair! Just left it there.
I know it was accidental but found some hair in the food. Still got stuffed and sorta money’s worth. I knew it wasn’t our hair for length and color but laying off like nothing happened. Everyone was nice and things went well. Personal favorite was the honey chicken.
This is not the best restaurant but is good to have some food if you like Chinese food
The food was not very tasty. Bathrooms were very dirty.
I went during dinner times; the buffet was fresh. My favorite was the jalapeno chicken!
Food was delicious and hot. Staff really friendly and attentive. Really good pricing for quality of food!
Good food except I once got sick with the seafood in 2019. Don’t eat any seafood in here.
The food looked good but it was greasy and no flavor or just bland. The tea was completely burnt tasting and I only took 2 bites of food before spitting the rest out in my napkin because it was so nasty. I pushed the food away from me and had to take a call and respond to a few texts and didnt take another bite because by then my stomach started to hurt. The food tasted like it was cooked on dirty pans as well. I complained about the food and the woman at the front told me I had to pay anyway! I informed her that I didnt eat anything except two bites and the food was foul and disgusting but she insisted that I got that plate of vegetables and I was going to have to pay for it. TWO BITES OF TASTELESS, GREASY, OLD, NON-SEASONED FOOD COST ME $12! Ill never eat at that disgusting place ever again and would advise anyone that it only takes a few minutes to make your own and there are a ton of recipes online that are very good. Theres no reason to pay good money for food prepared by lazy cooks that obviously dont care. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Very rarely do I leave one star reviews, but my experience was so horrible, I just had to share it.First, options were somewhat limited, which isnt a big deal, but the options that were available tasted "off". It was either freezer burned, mixed in with food that probably should of been thrown away. What this tells me is this business has no ethical concerns for their clients, which is a big disappointment.Honestly, I recommend you go absolutely anywhere else if you have a hankering for American-Chinese food.
Food tasted as if it has been originally frozen. Nothing had a wow factor. Upon leaving our daughter had a small amount to take home. We were charged the buffet price a second time for the doggy bag. Quite the rip off.
Other than the pink chicken that I was told was cooked and half the food looking like it sat there for hours, it was great.
Great food, we were there 40 mins from closing and was worried about selection but they continued to put food out. Everything tasted very fresh.
Food is always good always give them a 5 star cant even help it best one in town
The food it normally good, big variety, but it just seems dirty anymore.
I went late on a Friday night...most of the buffet was picked over and not much left on the buffet. It was about an hour before closing time. What I found on the buffet was excellent except for the noodles.
Probably saddest Chinese food restaurant ever. Food is ok at best. Most selections were out and no hurry to replace. 2 star was generous. Would not return.
Food was gross, cold, went at dinner time an didnt seem fresh at all. Waitress didnt communicate well. Definitely not worth the money.
The service was wonderful! The environment is decent and clean, the food was alright, Im sure its better when more fresh but it wasnt horrible.
First thing I noticed was how meticulously they were following Covid-19 protocol. The place was spotless and all customers were seated at least 6 ft away from each other. The food choices were wonderful with a mix of Chinese and some American food. The food was nice and hot and they replaced any empty containers immediately. The only thing that I could critique was the drink refills.
Food was phenomenal. So delicious. BUT they charged my 12 year old full price as an adult and she barely touched half a plate. Not happy about that. Pleased otherwise.
Well, it was hit or miss. They were slow about getting items brought out to the buffet. Not a very big selection on their menu, however, they did have a few decent things. Could have been worse, but also, could have been MUCH better.I guess I just got spoiled to the restaurants back home.
The food is mediocre, the crawfish wasnt cleaned properly, and very little of the foods I typically eat out. The salad/dessert bar is a joke. And the service was nonexistent.
Without a doubt... worst one I’ve seen in a long while. Most of the food was cold and the variety was slim pickins.Almost like the owners attitude is, “ We’ll slop the hogs as soon as they are seated”Also the food that wasn’t cold was very bland
The food was cold, the tea was literally just hot water, and the choices were extremely limited. Absolutely not worth the 30 dollars for two people at 3 pm. We were charged dinner price at lunch time. They only had 8 choices of food and the one pizza they offered looked like something my grandchild made. Not going there again.
Wish it looked a quarter that good tonite.10 + dollars a plate & only eat 1/2 plate because selection was almost empty. Along with water drops all over us and food GROSS.Will NOT be coming back
Normally, I give places a fair chance to prove they are better than their reviews, but in this case I should have just listened to others and avoided this place. The smell was musty from the moment we walked in. The walls and ceiling are filthy and there are spots that look like black mold. One of the lemons on the cold buffet even had a moldy spot on it. The food was very sub-par and both the tea and water had a dirty taste. Do not eat there!
Its not to bad for the price 8.96 for dinner the selection is ok
We stopped in here on our way across country because I was craving Chinese. What a mistake. The place had a foul odor but I just figured they had poor ventilation. Sadly everything I tried off the buffet was terrible. It was like the food had sat out for a very long time. Nothing tasted like it was fresh at all! Then my husband took our boys to use the restroom and when he came back he said we had to leave. The bathroom was so dirty with black/grey filth, on the light switch was the worst, the soap dispenser was leaking down the wall and on to the floor, the wall under the hand dryer had the black/grey filth on it and the walls in general looked like they hadnt been cleaned in a very long time. The kicker was they were charging almost $20 a plate! Sadly Im off Chinese food for a while.
Good foo. Plenty of choices for a Buffet. Plenty of seating.
Some dishes were definitely gross. But if youre craving a run of the mill Chinese buffet. But I do have to give them props on the variety and the fact that they have plenty of seating.
Taste of food isnt to brag about but its ok. A bit overestimated... But the appearance!!! Oh brother... They really need to work on making it look better and take care of those restrooms. I know people who wouldnt dare eat there just because the restrooms are so... Not well kept. Price wise its ok, and the food variety is as expected on a Chinesse or Asian restaurant. All in all it is better than the other option in town which leaves a lot to be said... But even though I wasnt entirely disappointed, I dont see me going there on a regular basis unless they upgrade their upkeep.
Well, nobody got sick...Same as every other "cheap" Asian buffet that over charges. Small selection and not much flavor other than salt. One friendly employee who actually used manners.Update: when unsupervised children were playing in the food (ie tasting and putting back, using hands to dish, etc), staff immediately changed out the food and informed the parents. Also, flavor and selection have both improved!
