Kindersley Inn - in Kindersley, Canada
Very clean very pleasant staff
So far so good. Friendly helpfull staff clean rooms that smell good. Great food right in the building. And on a road that is perfect for parking a big rig Im happy with them.
We actually didn’t stay here but phoned them by mistake thinking we had. They were wonderful to deal with and extremely helpful in working out our confusion. We will certainly stay there next time we are in town. Thank you.
March 7, ‘22, white knuckling it from Calgary heading to Saskatoon, near Flaxcombe my poor car finally succumbed to the heavily iced highway with high winds. Besides not being injured myself and the exceptional kindness of several strangers, which turned hair-raising disaster into a positive experience, my 5 night stay at Kindersley Inn was very pleasant. My room was in the old wing of the hotel, but it was very clean and so quiet, which surprised me given that the hotel is so near the highway. The front staff was friendly and helpful as well. The wifi was decent, not slow, the bed really comfortable, housekeeping fast and efficient. The TV is the only thing I can’t comment on as I didn’t use it. All in all I would recommend and stay there again. PS. A thing to be aware of is that if there seems to be no hot water, it just needs to be run for 3 minutes or so before actually using it. Once it’s hot, it’ll heat up at normal speed for the rest of stay.
Friendly staff, Ashley went out of her way to get me a room at the last minute. Very nice room
No hot water! When brought up to the staff they could care less like they knew there wasnt
Was staying for work, not oilfield related, seemed good but kinda weird when I found a letter written by a chambermaid, it was almost a full page long and told of how she was looking forward to cleaning my room and providing top notch care. I ignored the letter and left it on the table, and 3 days later I get a message on my phone saying I was charged for smoking in my room. I was outraged, went straight to the manager got the charge removed, checked out and left, I will never stay here again, I think they have some kind of scam running at this hotel where the cleaning staff is looking for a handout and if they don’t receive one they accuse you of smoking in the room to get extra money for supposedly cleaning it. P.S. while posting this I gave one star for service but shows up as a 3 go figure, even the ratings are a scam.
Doghouse servers are disgusting, They drink on shift then after shift they will go home with your husband or hang off all the other guys. Just an oilfield trash bar and place to stay
Not a bad hotel. The photos are of the new building though, which costs more so be aware this may not match the actual rooms. But they were clean, comfortable, which is enough for us. The pool is currently shut down.
During the peak of the recent blizzard we decided we needed to pause our travels and stay in kindersley as the roads were unsafe. The staff was welcoming and accommodating in our last minute decisions and potential variability in our plans. Room felt cozy, clean, and was relatively quiet. While I hope to not be snow stayed again, we would certainly pick here to bunker down again.
Hotel room was not at all what was advertised . Front desk clerk was unhelpful and rude. Room had a funny smell to it, tv was blurry, carpets were stained , AC unit was broken. Worst hotel experience Ive had in a long long time.
The room had NO view, we ended up with 2 queen size beds instead of one...no plug ins ...even for charging, no hair dryer...felt like we were staying in a box with 2 beds.
The rooms are nice and clean. The service is terrible however. Upon check in and paying $140 per night, we were advised that breakfast is not included unless you work for a short list of companies. When phoned in to ask for extra blanket we were advised that all cleaning staff is gone and no blankets are available to be delivered or picked up. The cable....there is none. You will get 5 channels...maybe. Overall, below average for the money you pay and sure it’s in Kindersley but get on with the times it’s 2019. Customer service is the key to your success and it no good.
Older hotel but not run down, more of a classic feel. Well setup, clean rooms and even an elevator. Never got down to the pool and hot tub or water slide sadly.
Good beds but thats about it. The cleaning staff barges in the room 3 days in a row even with a do not disturb card on the door.
The hotel was nice, clean rooms, and fair price. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because the information pamphlet in the room says "delicious continental breakfast" when in fact there is no continental breakfast. It is an attached restaurant and the food was good, but the lady at the front desk gave me attitude when I politely pointed out the discrepancy.
Stayed in the new building while working in the area for over a month. Great amenities, clean, and all we asked was that the room be cleaned daily. The kids love the pool! Definitely stay in this hotel again!
Business centre, pool, hot-tub, restaurant & lounge! Furnishings & Beds are Super comfy... The only minus they get is theyre located in Kindersley! Otherwise, great place to be stuck...
Very happy with the kindersley Inn. The hotel is shaped so that any room is easy to park near so you can use your remote starter. Spacious and clean rooms with friendly staff. I would recommend staying here.
So gross. Pool deck never gets mopped, band-aids are all over the floor. Rooms are gross as well with the washrooms not receiving proper cleaning.
Rooms arent spectacular but are relatively comfortable. Charlies Lounge has good menu selection and fantastic food. Pool tables in bar next door could use refelting but the open air patio is nice.
Went for supper the other night ordered special with different sauce half an hour later when our foo was brought out was told couldnt do other sauce. Ended up eating potatoe skins for supper wont be returning after patronizing for 5 years
Disclaimer: I have never stated at the Inn, only went in for breakfast from time to time. Good food, reasonable prices. Being short staffed seems to be the norm here so at times, service can be slow. They try their best but could use some help during the rushes.
Don’t stay there!!!! The smell of cigarettes when you first walk through the first set of doors. Then when you walk through the next set it’s mildew and old smell. It’s horrible and not very welcoming. Our room was so small, and the hallways were dark (so many lights out). This hotel has 2 buildings, (one old and one newdon’t let their website fool you. We arrived and was stuck in the old one. Terrible hotel overpriced.
Was a but disappointed in my last visit. I took my kids for brunch. 2 waitresses working. 1 just wanted to go home and want really much help. Took 10 min just to get coffee. Order wasnt correct either. Usually a great place to go.
Got to the hotel and toilet was clogged. Toilet overflowed all over floor. In clogged itself later that night. Took 5 minutes of loud refilling till it was done after ever flush. Wifi was decent and bed was comfy and price was decent.
Having had lunch a few days prior, my wife and I along with our daughter decided to stop in for dinner. We ordered nachos and wings while our daughter ordered sweet potato fries and chicken fingers. She did not get her dipping sauce nor the chipotle mayo and ended up waiting almost another 10 minutes for them, causing her food to be cold. Our nachos had to be returned due to the lack of jalapenos and our wings were quite overcooked. So, long story short, the lunch cook knows how to do his job but the dinner cook does not.
Service was great. The pool was cold when my daughter had her birthday party. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.
We rented the suite and it is perfect. Couldnt ask for better. Fast check in and friendly staff. Would love to stay here again.
Clean friendly place. Staff very busy and professional. Comfortable beds. Waterslide and hot tub jets were not working. Towels not provided in pool area.
Decently clean and in good repair but it has older fixtures and could use a good renovation. The hot tub and water slide were broken when we stayed
I stayed in this hotel recently and very happy with the room I was given. Everything was very clean, quiet and almost brand new. The staff were very nice and accommodating as well. The only negative was the pillows were too puffy and almost gave me a stiff neck.
Rooms clean. Kinda dated. Beds comfortable. Jets down on hottub but that is only complaint. Food excellent here. Burgers and breakfast rock.
The rooms were ok. We were in the old part and it had a funny smell. The rooms were clean though. Nothing special and maybe a little overpriced. To check in you have yo go to the old section, wish there was a sign in the new area thats where we went and it just said see main desk. We had no idea there was 2 buildings separated by quite a ways. Probably wont stay there again unless there is a good deal on a room. Overall meh wasnt horiable wasnt the best.
Poor attitude. Do not disturb sign mean keep knocking on the door. No deal on breakfeast dispite night shift says yes but day shift and waitress says no.Light in elevator dont work and there was a mysterious liquid on the floor.Even though Ive booked online they refused to give me a receipt. No matter what online booking Ive gone through Ive always received receipts.Rooms and beds are very comfortable.
Dealt with one gentleman from the staff; super helpful, friendly, respectful and informative!!! Pools open til 10 for children and check out is at 12pm. Very welcoming place ♡
This hotel was clean and quiet. Room was great and had everything we needed. My only complaint is with the pool. When my son and I went down the water slide we both hit our head on something and then I remember the boy before us coming off the waterslide holding his head crying and running to his mom. Surely we are not the first people to have ever hit our heads going down the water slide?? But how could it still be open when 3 people in a row all got hit in the head?? Another thing I didnt like is the finishing work in the back stairwell was poorly done (in the new buildingwhere we stayed. The back door was not lined up so it wouldnt latch shut. Not very secure. Other than these things I liked the hotel. If you dont go to the pool the hotel is nice.
We had a room in the new building. Room was a junior king suite and had a king bed separated from the rest of the room by double doors. Nice large Tvs, a small table and chairs to eat at, and a set of glasses, plates, bowls and cutlery were the positives that stood out. Room was very clean. On to the negatives... some of the finishing work in the new building seems... well... like I did it. (White paint overspray on the carpet in the west stairwell, exit door on the west side of the building has secure card access... But thats moot because the door doesnt latch at allLots of cigarette butts on the ground by the west exit door.
Stayed for three nights in the same room and payed three different rates each night,
They have very nice rooms that are big, come with a sitting area. The bathroom was well maintained and clean. All the staff I had met were friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great location close to restaurants and shopping, as well as a bar and restaurant on site.
Its ok. The place is in need of a little TLC but it was mostly clean and adequately comfortable. The new gym they installed is pretty ghetto having been installed rather quickly and cheaply in a converted room by the looks of it. My shower slowly but continually changes temperature on me =(
All rooms have had there beds replaced and there is an additional newer building with larger rooms. Clean and comfortable.
Hot Tub. Water slide. Great for kids and adults. Restaurant opens at 5 am so great for early risers. The pub and bar are good for venues.
I attended a birthday pool party its a great pool and my daughters love when they get to stay at the hotel! Wonderful people from the front staff to the housekeeping.
Food in the cafe was pretty good. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Hot tub and waterslide didnt work and no towels in pool area.
Stayed in the new building. Plenty nice with decent size bathroom and good looking accommodations. Pool in the other building is spacious and well kept. Would happily stay here again.
Rooms were older and nothing really made the stay special. Although the lady at the front desk was really knowledgeable of the area and friendly. Plus the price was decent. Not very much parking either.
Located on the east end of Kindersley, the Kindersley Inn has 2 buildings of rooms - the original building, where the restaurant, lounge and bar, as well as the pool and hot tub are located, is host to very dated, small rooms that desperately need a facelift. Its very obvious that theyve added beds to rooms that once were singles in order to cater to the oilfield boom that drives this town. Some rooms have barely enough room between the wall and the adjacent bed to walk between. When making reservations, make sure to request a room on the new side of the hotel - this side has much bigger rooms, all with semi-kitchenettes with mini fridge, microwave, kettle, and some kitchen utensils. The pool area is a great way to entertain the kids in a town with little to do, but be aware that frequent closures render the area unusable - call ahead to confirm availability. The onsite restaurant and lounge have a decent menu to select from, but the service can be slow in the lounge at times.
Depending on which side of the hotel you get put In. The new side is very nice and clean and comfortable. The old side is very old and needs a ton of work. The cleanlyness of the old side leaves a little bit to be desired. Other than that the hotel is decent.
More expensive than a room in Saskatoon but kind of a dump. Im pretty sure they upsold me to the most expensive room too because even though they claimed there was nothing else the hotel seems empty. Parking is not very safe either. Id be worried about leaving anything in my truck. Keep going if you can. This place reminds me of ft Mac.
