Kim Kwang Seok Street - Tourist attraction in Taegu, South Korea
Beautiful street in the evening. There was a performer outside of Twosome Place playing KGSs songs and a few ladies were crying. Lots of people sitting in quiet contemplation. Its best to go in a loop, starting at the parking lot (giant guitargoing left, then walking the side with the trees once its darker.
So pretty! Definitely worth a visit if youre ever in Daegu, its a must! Kim Gwang-Seok is legend from Daegu, so its a good place to go to understand his history (and take some beautiful pictures)!
Its nice enough with some murals. You can buy trinkets or food along the way. The neighborhood behind it is even more interesting to walk in.
lively place with a lot of coffee shops and drinking places, really loved this place
Guitar and music lover must visit this place
I love this quaint little street. LOTS of coffee shops and great places to eat.
Such a nice place, good for walking. Nice spots for pictures.
Its an artistic street with cute murals perfect for an evening walk.
Not very special things to ses. Maybe it will be better if there was any concert i guess
Very quaint and eclectic area.
Lots of restaurants and cool to hang out
Nice place ,singing and music show was performed.
Has become a little run down. Some of the murals have become faded. Looks like some of the cafes also had to close permanently after the loss of bussiness because of the pandemic.
Its a memorial place for Mr.Kim KS who was one of famous Korean pop artists. Although he passed away 24years ago, many people still love to sing his songs. Here is the home town of Kim where he was born and grew up. So many materials such as songs, paintings, essays about him...
This street is named after a famous singer of korea and there is beautiful wall drawings and cultural sculptures of the singer. It shows the respect of korean people towards their artisits.
I dont know this famous guy.But the statue looks some weird. He looks like Zombie.Maybe if they polishing the bronze probably will looks better.
This street is located nearby downtown of Daegu city. The street presents a long wall full of pictures, architectures, and design of guitars and other musical instruments, and some food and coffee shops. It is also located nearby the river so one can easily move to the river side to have some fresh air. Also, there are guitarists performing with their instruments. If you are staying for a long time in Deagu, visit here one day.
Really good location for sightseeing in Daegu, Korea !
Top destination to visit while youre in Daegu! The road is not difficult to find, you xan either take the MRT or bus to go there. The street is a memorial to singer/song writer Kim Kwang seok. The place is filled with breathtaking art pieces. Once youre love taking pictures and wants to buy some souvenirs, this place is your GO-TO. Also, street food and coffee restaurants in here are recommended.
Good for music and eat Korea food
I cannot imagine that I will return one day. This time, together with my cousin and their friends from University. So mazing! And since I have been here once, I kind of like local touring for the. Even though short, but this lane of walking, have some many grafitis on the walls, also in memory of the outstanding singer, Kim Kwang Seok. This is how we remember the one that have contribution to our time.
Not to get any hopes up, this short street has a few sights to offer. Street musicians gather to play some classic tunes as tourists and locals alike pass on through. Some stop to listen, while some others will enter cafes or bars to enjoy the music and food.
If you don’t know who is he, you won’t feel anything there.
Its amazing and beautiful.Theres so many delicious restaurants and cafe.
It was small alley places contributes Kim Kwangseok. There are some restaurants on the side and some fun game spots. There were some people singing Kims songs in their own style. In the end of street if you get out of the zone for a bit, there is hand craft beer place as well. It was nice place to visit if you visit Daegu for the first time. Not a place I would regularly visit.
Nice, whimsical street. Stumbled upon this street by accident but had a good time just taking pics and goofing around. Good food placea and cafes. Easy to miss if not coming from the main street. I would visit again in the daytime but night time was pretty with the lights.
Interesting area thats pays homage to a South Korean artist from Daegu. Lots of touristy items around plus food stands, fresh drinks, and restaurants. Area is walkable. The day we visited local artists were painting murials on the walls. On hot days there is a misting system overhead that really cools you down on the walkway with the large pictures.
Its a touristy area but it was different than being downtown Daegu. IMO this could be a mini 6th St if there was more music playing...def would go at night time though.
One of musician legend 😍😍 good place to enjoy ur day, coffeeing and hangout while listening live music
Busking by local singers and bands are cool to watch. Paintings and artworks are all around the street. And its cool to chill at a cafe listening to local musicians as well.
This is a kind of memorial street for Kwangseuk Kim who was and is still very popular and famous in Korea. He died young. His death is remained mystery.
You have to see for yourself the respect and love that is given to an artist.
A beautiful place with a good vibe to it, really good for dates or with your family. Also many opportunities to take aesthetic pictures and eat delicious foods. I recommend the sugar-coated strawberries, in any shop that you find because those are really good. Dont forget to visit the game rooms and the many small shops that offer good quality products, even if you can find them basically anywhere in Korea. Enjoy the street singers performances while drinking a cafe on a terrace, and the colorful walls
Lots of nice little places for a coffee or a meal.
Really cute and interesting street. There are a ton of murals of the famous singer and there are many cafes and snacks alongside the road. Also, there are performances once in a while so i definitely recommend this place for everyone!
Come and feel the life of Kim Gwangsuk.
Beautiful street to hangout 😆
I love this place. You can find musician plays guitar and singing there. Good place to take photos
Super fun place to visit! The street isnt super long but it is filled with cute cafes and wall art that you can take photos with. Sometimes there are local musicians that will also play along the street. Its about a 10-15 minutes walk from banwaldong station.
Had little news about this Korean singer, but wall paintings were quite impressive.
Hidden behind a busy road lies a quaint yet a gem of a tourist attraction spot. There are a lot of cafes nearby to patron. Definitely a place to visit, itll take just an hour to visit the place.
I would say this place is instagramic.. Street is named after the singer kim gwang seok. You can see tons of colorful street paintings and decorations..take lot of pictures with beautiful BG meanwhile learn about the singers life history..
The way to remember the singer Kim Kwang Suk. There is not much to see on this road itself, but you can see murals and other small things. There are a lot of tourists on weekends. Nearby cafes and restaurants are recommended.
The busking along the street and on nearby streets were very entertaining! The street is filled with so many photo spots as well! A very fun place for tourist and locals!
Take a nice stroll through, take pics, buy souvenirs and eat here before leaving Daegu.
A place in constant change. There are a variety of coffee shops and restaurants. Most restaurants on the main street are forgettable and are just for quick snacks. The cafes are a mix of franchises and independent shops. There are some better and more interesting places on the back streets and in the neighboring Samdeok market. There are recent improvements (as of June 18in public parking, bathrooms and walking spaces. Its a few minutes from Daebong bridge station. Theres also buses. Theres a parking garage for the Kim Gwang-suk road. If thats full you can pay to park in the neighboring department store.
Some nice Street art. Nostalgic arcade games. Several cafes as well.
AWESOME PLACE FOR TAKES PICTURE
Do I have to come here? I do not know him at all. Yes, you have to come if you wanna know of Korean culture. His songs still resonate all over Korea. He touched many ordinary Koreans. Even I used to sing his songs at Karaoke. His singing style and voice is very unique. The mood and feeling, rylics are all Korean. The emotions, feelings. He may be called Korean Bruce Springsteen. He was so humble as a person...Come here and get to know of him while listening his songs.
