Horrible food extremely overpriced I saw a cockroach on the floor there was urine all over the bathroom floor and worse of all I found spit and poop in my order.

I had a taste for Senegalese food (its very tasty and flavored wellso I stopped by. It was my first time at the Sunugal African Restaurant. When I walked in I was warmly greeted by the owner. His wife was preparing the dishes at the back. The smell was amazing. There was very nice Senegalese music playing in the background and the restaurant had a happy atmosphere.

Awesome gem I stumbled on the other day. On my first visit I ordered the lamb and jollof rice. The rice was so good, I went back 2 days later to get more, but then I tried the fried whole tilapia with jollof. Im hooked. Bring cash though.

I he food was great came out super hot and tasted v ry fresh. The couple that was there was super gracious and kind. Mak sure you listen to them when they tell you something is hot. The prices were very reasonable and the portion size was huge. There was no way I would be able to finish. The rice was great perfectly cooked. This is deffinatly a hidden gem in Killeen I was surprised that we were the only ones in here. Great experience I will definitely be back and suggest it to friends.

They have large variety on menu and you are allowed to customize your order. Food tasted delicious, fresh and homemade.

Great authentic food. Very tasty. The smell deterred a few people from dining in- but it was what you expect from the spices in the kitchen. Be prepared for it. Very clean restaurant. Call ahead of time for the lamb dishes. There is no AC, but there were plenty of fans. I am a fan. Will definitely come back again!

If your wanting to try something different, this place is definitely a place to try. The curry chicken was awesome! Wonderful flavor and fall of the bone chicken. Great environment and wonderful chef. Beef Fataya was really good.

The male that’s the owner is rude and does not know how to run a business. I ordered food an hour in advance which was the time that he said that he needed to prepare my food. So I arrive an hour after I called my food in and had to wait damn near 30 minutes to receive my food and when I asked him was he going to accommodate me for the inconvenience he took a dollar off my bill after arguing with me trying to justify his actions and then had the nerve to say that Texans are required to tip and he doesn’t even ask for a tip. What exactly am I tipping sir? Poor customer service I think not and secondly I’m not required to do anything. That whole visit was just crazy and I will not be returning!

I ordered the Jolof rice with fish and beef patties. I had no idea the portion sizes were so large. The quality of the dishes exceeded my expectations. Everything was extremely good and I will be back. The Senegalese prepare all of their dishes from fresh and wholesome ingredients and they are great cooks. Sunugal doesnt disappoint.

The yassa fish is phenomenal. The rice is seasoned to perfection and the onion sauce is passion made manifest.. My Friday take home meal.

This place is awesome. I cant wait to come back for more. You have to come earlier for the grill lamb. They shut down the BBQ grill slightly earlier than the closing time.

Overpriced. I waited 30 minutes for the owner to cook up a stuffed fish and rice dish and, I swear to God, the fish was a small piece of tail, honestly not longer than about two inches. I paid around 13 dollars for a fish dish consisting of a two-inch cut of fish and lots of rice. It was like someone was playing a practical joke on me. I should have taken a picture of it and posted it here, so readers could have a good laugh.Was the food good? Yes. Very good. I got a separate chicken dish which was tasty, and the little bite-sized piece of fish that came with my tons of rice tasted good), but I felt ripped off.

We had a lamb dish and the #1 option for their Wednesday special. The food is terrific, and the staff is very sweet and welcoming. It was some of the best lamb and fish that we had ever had.

My brother and I wanted to try something new so we found Sunugal and were blown away by the food and service of this place! I got the Yassa lamb and my brother got the Yassa chicken and they both had amazing flavor! They portions sizes (even for the lunch menuwere huge and more than enough! We will definitely be coming back and are excited to try all of the authentic cuisines they offer!

This place is the only African restaurant in Killeen. You should definitely try it. Food is delicious and owner is very respectful and friendly. Try "Jollof Rice" because Senegal has the best "Jollof Rice" in Africa

FANTASTIC!! I grew up in Senegal and have definitely missed the food. It was so nice to walk in and have an atmosphere that I would find in Senegal. The food took me back to when I lived there. Thank you so much for opening up this restaurant. I will definitely be back.

I love everything about this place! I am absolutely hooked on their grilled lamb! I go a couple times a month just for that!! The owners are just two beautiful special people and always give excellent customers service, food is always fresh and hot! I love them!

First and foremost there just a handful of real authentic foods, but then you add incredible flavor, there is even less. Sunugal is a unassuming gift from Africa. EXCELLENT dishes in large portions, even my husband could not finish all of his food and he is a big guy. Owners are kind and humble, honestly anyone making these dishes has a right to boast, but they are only wanting to please. There needs to be more than a five star option because for ethnic food, Sunugal will take the Oscar!!! Just know that if there is a rush there is only one chief in the kitchen, and the wait is well worth it!!!

Ive never had a Senegalese delicacy before, so I decided to try the BOROKHE. It was DE-LI-CIOUS!!!!The staff was very friendly and warned me Id be coming back cuz of the awesomeness of my choice. Mine-o-mine, he wasnt wrong. Im definitely going back for some more and also try some other delicacies.

We had a great experience... My husband & I were so pleased with our food last night... It was fresh & mouth watering... This is our first experience with African food & it definitely wont be our last... My husband usually dont ask to leave reviews, but we just had to leave some feedback because the food was that delicious & fresh... We have a new favorite restaurant in Killeen... The smell before walking into the restaurant was enticing. Customer service was excellent and the food brought back memories. My family enjoyed our meals and we will be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Our meals taste like they were made with love.
