Nice surprise in Kirinyaga. I liked it. Not a huge fan of boiled stuff but this was delicious!!!! Highly recommend

Well established destination known and loved for its free-range chicken offering. Menu has been unchanged for years. Service is prompt and attentive.

Kinera serves the best tasting chicken in whole of Mount Kenya region. The chicken is free range (kienyenjiand is boiled in extremely hot water together with uncut fresh greens. The meal is then served with ugali/pap or with a local staple called mukimo, basically mashed potatoes, beans and maize.Be sure to go early or after lunch as it is likely one can miss a seating spot due to the popularity of this simple but original eatery.

The place is ok for it environ, they have great chicken and chicken soup that would be perfect for a hangover. Although i passed for a quick lunch, i would go back there for more chicken if i find myself in the area

The place was disgusting... imagine I ordered a full chicken last Sunday,To my surprise I was brought 2 fore wings, one "chelo" and a lot of spinach.....I declined that food

No questions asked, as long as you are seated, chicken and Ugali will be brought. You can however discuss the drink.

The Kuku is great but they lack variety of other foods

The food is nice. Boiled Roadrunner chicken with greens. However be keen on number of pieces being served. You might end up with a 3/4 and be charged a full chicken

Very fast and efficient service. As the name suggests, this place only serves chicken. Boiled kienyeji chicken. Served with whole leafs of kale or spinach (very interesting way of doing thisand ugali. Loved it

Place to be if you love kienyeji chicken with a dash of red hot chilli peppers, lol. Good meal.

Nice place with fresh stewed chicken taken with indigenous vegetables and Ugali or (matahaTraditional mashed potatoes. Best place to eat when in Kirinyaga county.

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. They had awful service and the food was very basic. Also better have cash at hand; they dont take mpesa

A good place for ready meal of chicken

Very delicious chicken saved there.

This is a legendary joint that cannot be explained in words but only seen in person. They serve their signature dish which is chicken in full green veggies and ugali. The greens are not cut up and are drowned in watery stew that has green chillies. Its an experience of a lifetime. Come ready to go back to the roots and eat the African way with fingers.

Ready to eat kuku shemsha in quarters, halves and full with free ugali. The kuku is is very delicious however the place isnt so decently clean though lots of people love it that way.
