50 Terralong St, Kiama NSW 2533, Australia, Kiama
Historic tavern with a laid-back feel, for classic pub meals plus live music and club nights.
Great food try the fish and chips the best I have eaten. The staff are very nice also.
Good cold beer and good pub food. What more do you want. And in a great town.
My wife and I had dinner at the Kiama Inn Hotel on Tuesday September 13, 2022 and it was an absolutely brilliant meal. My wife had the chicken schnitzel and I had the lamb shanks. Both of these meals were cooked to perfection and the staff at the bar were good people. I highly recommend this establishment!
The only Drive through in Kiama. Attached to Bottlemart you can get some great deals.
We ate there today and the food was amazing! Im had the fish with coconut sauce, husband had the steak and the prawns. Perfectly cooked and well presented. Well done to the chef.
Rude staff, I am 35 weeks pregnant and just travelled 4 hours to meet a friend here and they would not let me use their toilet unless I bought a drink first. I got told to walk down the road to a public toilet
Great meal and atmosphere had one the best steaks ever here
Staff are friendly enough.But.... food wait times (1hr 5minsnot too busy when we got there.Food price, more expensive than your average Pub.Food quality, not great, especially for the price
Had lamb shanks, veg, with mash & gravy, yum yum yum 😋
Ripper meal. Chips were banging. Great service
Great staff, clean . Good beer.
Came in on a quiet Tuesday lunch time. There were 9 of us. 8 of us ordered mains and one entree. The first 3 meals came out quick and remainder was a good 45 minute wait. There was one meal that was satisfactory and that was the taco salad. All the rest was schnitzels, steaks, burgers and potato skins was poor and not too a good standard. One of us was double charged and wasn’t picked up until the extra order came to the table. Very overpriced with what you receive. A $22.00 schnitzel was expecting to be a decent size. Was an entree size at best. Also there was mould on the ceiling of the bathroom. Maybe a clean would be in order.Disappointed and would not recommend.Signed all 9 patrons.
Lowest feed I’ve had at a pubService was shockingTwo hour wait for a surf and turf that was a minute steak with 3 prawn heads a 1 prawnVery ordinary
Service was shocking. Took over an hour for food to arrive. Overall the food was good but wasn’t worth the time.
A very friendly country seaside pub which is obviously under the pump through severe staff shortages due to Covid-19. Without Backpackers and without Foreign Students allowed into this country the kitchen staff are seriously short staffed, like most South Coast pubs, they are all feeling the pressure of their workload. Our meal took 40 mins but it was well worth the wait. The Schnitzels were great, but it was a huge feed all round. Got to give them credit under the circumstances
Our “30 minute wait” blew out to an hour and a half. Extremely limited menu which is ok, it’s a public holiday, but hearing talks of not even being able to get a Schnitty! That’s crazy! Hearing that the “chefs” had quit or been removed was a shock, hopefully the “barman” cooking was half decent. Also, no sprinkles! No sprinkles for the ice cream, that’s where I draw the line. So disappointing
For starters the one lady that was working behind the bar did a absolute fabulous job during the day... but the kitchen what a absolute disaster wouldnt recommend it to anyone.. we go to order and enjoy a nice meal only to be told that the kitchen had closed and it wasnt even 2:30pm... The start of the new year and school holiday time peak period and this is the service we get provided.. A place that was flat out in the bar even to only have eventually 2 people working was absolutely terrible... I can not do anything but give good praise for the lady that was there all day busting her backside with no support from anyone and to see a member of the public collecting glasses of other peoples tables I dont think thats right at all... never returning
The pub food was a total disappointment. Ordered at the bar and the food took a while to arrive. The 3 plates of steak was a disaster it was hard like rock even though we order medium rare. The chicken Caesar burger was quite alright. Kids meal came with ice cream so we had to inform the bar to serve the ice cream after our meal. Waited ages for bowls of melted ice cream which tasted like smoothie instead ice cream!
Came here for lunch yesterday for the second time. The first time we came we didn’t leave satisfied but thought we’d give the kitchen another go. Service was pretty good but the food was a major let down again. The beef burger was very tasteless, and the buns they use are like the ones from woolies that fall apart as soon as you try and take a bite so that was a let down. The mushroom sauce was nice however it was soo runny it was basically water, if it was thicker it would be a lot nicer that way when you dip your chips in it you could actually pull out sauce. The chicken Caesar salad was interesting to say the least - it came with cucumber tomato onion mixed with a green leaf spinach salad drowned in Caesar sauce! Wayyyy too much dressing. I’ve never had a Caesar salad like that. Only came here for lunch as we wanted a beer with it but wouldn’t come again, we ended up eating when we got home. 2 stars for the service only.
Waited an hour for our food before being told it was not ready and to be given our money back. The pub was by no means overrun with customers or so busy that you would expect a wait so long. Toilets were filthy as well.
Very friendly and accommodating staff with an awesome pub vibe. This place is dog friendly and all the staff were so nice about letting our dog in. Definitely reccomend this place for a relaxing arvo beer
Great little.pub in the heart of town. Good selection of beers and good service. Perfect place for a cold one after walking the Coastal Trail Gerringong to Kiama and waiting for the train home...
Came in on a very quiet Tuesday night, mid November 2021. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beer was cold and affordable. Unfortunately our dinning experience was not so good. Took close to a full hour to get our food and then all 3 plates were average at best, and they werent busy.Bathrooms were pretty clean.
Our meals were “extra crispy”. No sauce was provided as they “were out”. $35 for a dehydrated steak chicken and prawns. Bit ordinary. Beer was cold though
Went there with an other couple for lunch. We ordered the rump steak chips and salad.Salt and pepper squid and beetroot pumpkin and feta salad. The squid and salad where good. The rump steaks where small and tough chips where cold.Do not order the rump steak absolute rubbish.
Beautiful area and gorgeous pub but unfortunately the niceties end their. The staff on the other hand was rude and abrupt, because we were out of the area we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome . It was as though the whole Kiama was aware of out residential status and we were on display for onlookers to watch. Not very inviting at all.
I felt discriminated aginst, the waiter managed to clear the table yet leaving my empty glasses behind. The waiter continued to leave my stuff behind throughout the night, it wasnt till a friend asked him to take the glasses away that he sent someone else to do it. It was just interesting that I was the only non causcasian person in the group of 10 that couldnt have their empty glassware taken away. Surely times have changed for the better.
Sensational pub with Great Food & very Classy. Modern Bar.The Publican(Ivanis a Top Bloke & very Professional & Friendly Staff. The Venue has a very cozy Outdoor Beer Garden & TV Sports Meals Area, plus a Pokie Room. They have Awesome "Live Bands" play there every Weekend, so if you are travelling through "Kiama"
Nice clean pub but a little too trendy for me. Bar staff need to be familiar basic spirit brands even if they dont stock them. A Chivas Regal is a scotch. Three staff did not know what it was.
My last visit to Kiama inn was definitely a great experience. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and nice especially the bouncer Phil who went out of his way to help everyone. I would definitely be coming back and recommend it for a great night out.
Very friendly staff. Good range of priced foods. Was sorry to miss out on the daily lunch steak special. They had just come off a public holiday weekend so I understand why they ran out of rump steaks.
I recently played there with my band and I can honestly say its been a long time since I have encounter such an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Usually Im greeted with grunts from staff who couldnt give a bleep for the musicians. So thanks. I can only assume your patrons are treated with same courtesy. Well done! Next time Ill be back as a customer.
Awesome entertainment!Really enjoyed the Aussie Crawl Tribute show! Cheers guys 🍻🍺🍻
Friendly pub with lovely staff - the food is above average fare and relatively well priced. The kitchen had us waiting for a while which I wasnt too happy about, but the staff (and managerdealt with it in a professional manner and were very accomodating. Despite the unusual wait on our food, I was still very pleased with the customer service otherwise, hence the rating. Clean, friendly and a very good location.
We bought burgers here and the bread was burnt. The only reason we ate it was because we were so starving, but the burnt taste was somewhat overwhelming and ruined it. It would have probably tasted nice otherwise. Also my boyfriend’s sweet potato fries were so burnt and black, they were inedible. He didn’t want to complain because he’s too nice but it’s shocking to be served such burnt food, I’ve never experienced this before so I felt I must leave a review.
Very disappointing. Had to wait for more than an hour to get our food. Salmon Steak was overcooked. The staff tried to be nice by giving us free fries - but it would be better to have a warning about how long it takes to get your food ready.
Nice little pub. Reasonably priced burgers which were pretty tasty. Good range of beers on tap.
Not sure if there was a change of chef but we ordered 3 medium rare rump steak and it came out well done, it was really dry to eat plus we ordered a medium well done and that came out burnt. A few months ago i came in, the food was amazing but im not sure what happened. The wings are amazing this time
A rather disappointing lunch. Chicken was overcooked and a bad cut. Otherwise a nice environment for a beer.
Classic good old pub feed. My friend and I had burgers and they were delicious and the portion sizes are very big. The chips were also really nice and our food came out in good time. Defintely recommend especially for a stopover on a road trip.
This is our local - literally - across the road from our shop so we are regulars. Enjoying the sunshine whilst dining outdoors or enjoying a drink out the front watching the world go by on Terralong street is a favourite past time. Great burgers, schnitty and probably the best chicken wings you’ll ever eat - crispy, crunchy and never oily - the hot sauce we take on the side is perfect! The staff are great - always friendly and welcoming - good COVID-19 hygiene, too - the only suggestion we have is to hire security for live music nights as it gets a bit rowdy
Nice cold drinks and huge meals at very reasonable prices. Nice to sit outside and watch the passing parade. Beautiful Day.
2 weekends ago Kiama was packed. My girlfriend’s grandparents were down for the day and we were silly enough not to book anything in. We roamed Kiama up and down hoping to find a place for lunch and we ended up at Kiama Inn Hotel for lunch as a “last resort”. What a great last resort it was!I had a burger, girlfriend had schnitzel, grandparents had a salad and salmon. We were all pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our lunch. It wasn’t anything outstanding, but it was up there for solid pub food. Well done!
Beautiful food and a great location in Kiama.Weekend daytime have a feed and a few cold ones is fantastic and nights are great as well.Staff are super friendly and even the COVID Marshall was cool.Had burger and it was awesome, sweet potato fries and salmon were great.Only tip for the staff send the entree out before the main meal.
Really nice small pub in heart of Kiama CBD , lunch special available , Monday steak night ,live music on Friday Saturday . Gaming and smoking area available . No beach view .
Good pub. Its a traditional pub with all the main varieties of beer on tap and 1 craft beer on tap. It has outdoor seating which we prefer so we waited patiently until a table was vacated. Its buzzer service and the food was okay. Vegetarian beetroot salad was a miss. No flavour. The barramundi was nice but very small fillet. Pubs in general need to understand that hot chips is not a meal. Stop overloading plates with chips and give us some real food.
Nice outdoor setting across from the water. Had the grilled chicken burger which was lovely and my brother had the grilled chicken breast that he enjoyed. Side of squid also nice.
"Not bad" as quoted by Vince. Service was relatively quick and prices were fair. Had some good specials, menu had all your classic pub classics. Food was a bit salty and portion size was fair. Mash was really good, nice and creamy. Veggies were good and the sauce was good. Schnitzel had a nice seasoned crumb. Pub had background music and several to screens.
Over 30 minutes wait for the food. The staff were rude. food wasnt too bad we had smokey wings salad and fish and chips. But do not get the honey soy wings , it was way too salty, tasted like bad soy and no hint of honey.
Great place for burgers. If you have an unusually big appetite, you should go for the Big Blue Heifer Burger! I posted a picture of it here. Its so over the top its amazing!
