Nice view on the top of dam. Many water fall located near by this dam. It is very near Bangkok.

Idyllic. Ive never seen it too busy and the dam can be viewed by long-tailed boat although one wooded jungle cove looks pretty much like another after a while. Rumour has it the lake is patrolled by a giant serpent with the head shaped like a strwaberry

Nice place to see a view and I recommend to take a tram to see view.If you have more time. I recommend to take about in to the water fall inside a dam around 1.30 hr.

If youre more into mountains and green nature rather than a beach, Khun Dan Prakarn Chon Dam in Nakhon Nayok is a great place to visit as it has both mountains, huge lake, lots of beautiful waterfalls, and only a few hours drive from Bangkok.

On the left side the park (mountains of khai yaiand a lot of water. On the right the city. In between the dam.You can drive the dam with a golfcar. (300 thb/4persor go with a "bus (20 people)" 30 thb/pers. Bus only in weekends.Free entree.

Its a little outside of the usual tourism areas, however we really enjoyed a boat trip around the Dam with beautiful scenery and wildlife.

It’s a must visit place in Nayok Nakhon. The dam view just breathtaking and feeling of the freshness of the air is amazing.

At first instance arriving to the dam, you get the feeling of fright by looking at the gigantic size of the dam, like its about to fall on you or something. If its the first time you have seen something this big. After you feel contempt to explore more then a while feel assured to awesomeness of the engineering involved building this. There are small boats that can take further down the lake There are two car parking spots on top of the dam and down below. You can not walk through the dam on top, only up to front part of it. Covered by Tropical trees all round coming to the place..

The dam was vast, very scenic. There is a long-tail boat ride, cost 200 thb per person. There is also private boat ride for 1500 thb. The boat trip is 2.5 hrs long. My family and I rented the golf cart to travel across the dam wall and take pictures from the view points. The golf cart rental cost 350 thb for 4 seater and 500 thb for 6 seater. We can rent for 1 hr. We spent about 50 minutes on the golf cart. Very relaxing evening at the dam.

Nice place with scenic views and very nice nature views ! I wish there was better signage, it takes a but of asking around to find the way up the hill to the main dam. Once you drive up there, there are golf carts foe hire to drive around- best time to arrive here is actually during mid-day. Absolutely loved the endless greenery surrounding this place.

This dam is so clean. I didnt expect that it will be so nice. The dam looks normal as usual. But after I travel with the boat by spending 400 baht, the nature is awesome and clean. The main thing of tourism attraction is not how good it is, but how long it will be always as perfect as now or how far it will be better. The location has good view. As suggestions, using hiking slippers is the best choice as its adventure travel. Preparing rain coat is suggested because sometimes its raining. Theres shop for food or coffee. Toilet also is provided for 3 bht only.

You can rent an electric golf cart for 350฿ for an hour(usually take 30-45minsor 30฿ for the tram or walk on the dam to get stunning view of Nakorn Nayok and the reservoir with beautiful nature. Theres also a boat for visiting the beautiful landscape and waterfalls (highly recommendedfor 200฿ per person or 1500฿ for a private boat only with your group.Free entrance fee and free parking. The area has many beverages and food stalls, large parking area but very crowded on holidays.

Khun dan dam reserve water for nakornnayok province and top location for visitor. There golf club electruc car ride on top of dam distance around 5 km, visitor can stop selfi at favorite stop to cover the whole dam both reservor itself and drain canal. Golf club car for 4 person, two hour cost 350 baht per car. Worth to try however coffee shop locate on top of dam was closed at my time of visit. Good lunch from nearby dam provide good view of river down the dam

Not too far from Bangkok, you can enjoy here with the view by golf cart (driving by yourselfShuttle Bus; you will have a tour guide , Boat Service will take you to the waterfall (recommend on May-Julduring summer time there is a few waters. Last tour will be around 17:00. Around area there are foods and drinks you can buy. No need to buy a ticket in advance. During COVID, the officer asked you to check the temperature after got the sticker you can passed to go up to the dam.

Good to be back after 7 months away due to the pandemic lockdown. Everywhere in Thailand looks so much beautiful than it used to... Maybe it is just my eyes, or that I missed Thailand so much... the fact that this pandemic situation changed how I feel about revisiting old destinations... and see it as a unique opportunity once again... Again, it is good to be back. :)

I came to this place for visit the waterfall. I took a local boat for go inside the lake. Thay have a management team for take care all guests in holiday. You need to park your car and took a shuttle bus but its OK.

Great view and impressive 93 meters high structure built in 2005 in NakhonNayok province. It’s the biggest dam in Thailand with a spectacular panoramic mountain evergreen forest view that connects Khao Yai Nakhon Ratchasima, NakhonNayok and Saraburi. Fantastic view and visitor bus tour 30bht tour. You can rent a buggy 350 bht. Crowded and many small eateries, cafes and boating services. A boon for the agricultural farmers. Many dotted nature resorts, restaurants and sightseeing locations.

Beautiful scenery to make fotos and enjoy nature. I was there in the dry season so water was low, but still you can enjoy the view. You will find some shops and below the dam you can sit and swim in the big undeep river.

A great place to catch sunset. It was a quiet weekday with very less tourist. Apart from the dam and reservoir, you can see the Khao Yai national park behind the carpark. The park is also decorated with many potted flowers. We did not see the dam releasing water during our trip

Loved it! You can rent golf carts and drive along the reservoirs wall for 200 bahr and then hire a boat to take you around the reservoir. Theyll drop you off at 3 small waterfalls where you can explore a bit and take pics. Best to arrive early morn when its not hot.

As dams go this is a good one. Not that I know a huge amount about them. But they have made a big effort to make it pretty. Gardens and flowers were very pretty as opposed to it just being a big chunk of concrete and water.

Free entrance. Best to visit when the sun not too strong. You can rent a buggy 350 THB for an hr (5 person maxto ride and sight seeing across the dam (should do but will take less than an hr). Long tail boat also available 1,500 THB for local and 2,000 THB for foreigner (max 5 person). Add on 6th person is an additional 400 THB. There are small vendors selling sausages, ice cream, refreshment, hats, sunglasses, etc.

Nice place to see how thing going around and help farmer about water. It has rail bus, 30 Baht. Also you can rent a golf car. Along with boat trip to the waterfall if you come early.

So much fun and so big dam. There are 3 waterfalls you can go with this dam and its massive all around. We really had a great time and would come again. Another awesome place to visit without heaps of tourists. Fantastic place and enjoyable destination.

Its a huge place to walk however shuttles are available for 30baht. Coming here make sure your escorted by Thai local, majority are zero English, souvenirs are not expensive. As for me looks like a park , long walk for lovers, long drive too, air condition cafeteria is available for snacks. Recommended to visit if you can speak Thai language, you will encounter police check point along the express way .

Scenic area. Some water activities available, but you need to hire the transportation to get inside. There are waterfalls, kayaking , trekkking. But if you dont want to get further in, a stay at the dam is and enjoying the view to chill is pretty good enough.
