Khao Soi Noodle Shop - Laotian restaurant in Louangphrabang, Laos
Very nice, must try, nice vegetables and meat.
Amazing authenticity , run by 3 local womenFantastic flavoursJust loved it
Very tasty noodles in a small local place. It serves only Khao Soy and chicken noodles for 25000 Kip. Try the triangles of coconut rice. It’s a sweet treat.
Local street food very good yummy. Ilove the noodle soup.
아주 맛있는 집 입니다라오식쌀국수와 카오소이 2가지 있습니다쌀국수는 한국분들 아침 해장으로는 최고입니다
Locals and tourists alike form a small queue in the morning for this small shop. Well worth the wait though as the khao soy is absolutely delicious!
Good food
Delicious
Is there a way to contact owners?
This is still the best Khao Soi restaurant I have been to in Laos for 9 months. I miss it so much.
Very tasty! I cannot wait to return once this pandemic ends. Oct. 2019
Tasty bowl of freshly made Luang Prabang khao soi noodles
Best authentic LP Khao soy. superb breakfast
I had this khao soi is light and no impact.because I was in 6am.in the afternoon soup will be thick and salty.
Nice noodles
I am so happy to find this place online. I stumbled upon this shop when I visited Luang Prabang back in 2013 or something and it is still the best Khao soi I have ever had. This spot has come up in many conversations so I decided to see if it was possibly online. And there you have it. The internet is not all bad. I hope I get to eat another bowl one day.
Fantastic food, nice people
One of the best Pho noodles and Kao Soi noddles. Soup are great. Be sure to be here early because they runout very fast.
Really yummy noodles “pho” served with lotsa fresh greens that you can add to the noodles however one fancies. The broth is rather peppery. The other option is Khao Soi. Opens real early and sells out by noon time. 😋😋😋😋😋
Simple shop, great khao soi Lao style
Food is tasty and cheap. People are nice. I highly recommend this place !
Great noodles, is cheaper to pay in local currency.
It was delicious and the service was quick. The venue is small though so expect share seating
Delicious
Cheap, delicious, healthy noodle soup.
Delicious koi soi! Servings were generous and the flavor and freshness of the greens/soup were great. Definitely will be going back. A must have if you are in Luang Prabang
Meat wasn’t fatty, lots of fresh greens and priced @ 20,000kip.
Great food, great price. Enough said although go easy when applying the chilli its super hot!
Sooo delicious! A lovely local find and I’d recommend a visit here for breakfast or lunch
Very tasty and right at a junction where u can see the coming n going
Read good reviews so decided to try their Khao Soi. It was way too salty for me, I event couldn’t finish. Service was poor. I would go somewhere else to eat Khao Soi.
Super fresh and flavorful. You know its a good sign when the crowd is mainly locals. A must-stop for breakfast or early lunch. Its not spicy, but you can add chili if you like. Only 20K for a bowl.
Really great soup! The herbs and veggies were fresher here than at two other places serving the same soup down the road (towards the night market).
A very solid bowl of noodles for breakfast.
Don’t miss this place for Noodle soupVery tasty 😎
Small shophouse serving just two dishes - khao soi and noodles soup. 20,000 kip per bowl. Lots of condiments and fresh herbs on the side.
Along the road where high end restaurants and shops rules, a small noodle shop stands tall. It has just a few tables and serves only two types of noodle soup. The star of the shop is the Khao Soi which is popular among the locals and tourists. The rice noodle is served in a delicious broth, a blend of sweet, sour and savoury and topped up with a scoop of spicy minced pork. The broth is refreshing and appetizing. It is a must eat when in LP. A bowl costs 20K, a little more than other local shops but it is worth it. Dont come too late as it closes by 1200 noon.
Excellent!!
Best khao soi in town. They also have Pho which is equally good. The staff was also very friendly.
Delicious local noodles. The Khao Soi is a must try. Comes with a generous serving of minced nuts, beans and pork mixture. Another must try local delight.
delicious noodles! very local feel to the place. come early so you dont miss out!
Great bowl of Luang Prabang style khao soi.
This became my go-to soup place in LP. They serve excellent soups at breakfast and lunch. Two choices: Khao Soi or Noodle Soup (choose beef or pork), both 20.000 kip in Feb 2018. Lao-style khao soi is very different than Thai; a wide rice noodle soup with a big dollop of pork bolognese on top. Its super tasty here, and the plate of greens served alongside every soup is gorgeous on its own.
Sit and relax. Noodle soup or kao sai options. Fresh bowel of leaves that is safe to eat so dive in plucking the leaf tips from stems.
Went past this little local street stall afew times and decided to give it a try. Delicious with rich flavours of herbs and spices. A must!
A little expensive at 20,000kip, but the Khao Soy was really delicious.
an absolute must! Dont think, just order the Luang Prabang noodle soup, add plenty of herbs and enjoy!
This is the famous khao soi noodle in Luang Prabang. The menu is simple, just noodle soup and khao soi both at a whopping 20,000Kip per bowl. From that price you know that tourists had a role to play the prices. 20K is actually quite extravagant for a sidewalk Al fresco noodle shop. I ordered the Khao Soi (best place to sit is right in front of herand I liked it. I didnt like the price but I felt it justified a quarter of what the dish satisfied in me. Pork broth with bolognese of fatty pork with flat rice noodles. A satisfying meal nonetheless and because every tourist blogs about it. They always almost sell out at 11am. So try to be there early. You can recognise the shop just further down from Scandinavian Bakery, and recognise them by the 3 black cauldrons smouldering in hot coals. Happy Travels.
