Safari park with big African mammals, tigers & apes, plus hands-on feedings & shows.
Amazing place for weekend and for kids , so peaceful and quiet and you can feel the nature , I will go there again for sure
Its was a ok zoo but everything seems pretty run down and not maintained properly. At least the animals looked healthy.
Nice place for family. I like hippopotamus.
The best zoo i have ever been to.
Good vibe good activity. Recommed to rent a goft car
Amazing variety of animals. Better to drive around in Pink Zone. Green Zone was only drivable with in house club car(buggywhich requires driving licence to be shown. Good condition buggy. The entire zoo has a nature touch to it. Some facilities were not well maintained and grime & dirt were clearly seen so much around. But it helps keep that natural feel.
Not good as I expectedThis place use to be more fun and comfortable for car driveThe zoo transport was not match with customers on weekend and the driver denied to let us get inThere was no more allow feeding at any spot, only allow at some and need to buy in the zoo. So we cannot get closer to animal anymore. The price was higher but not compatible with services, facilities or activities inside
Absolute amazing. Very big area, lots of animals (keeped in good conditionsand very chear entrance (about 260).Must see for all animal lovers
They not expensive for entry ,A lot of tiger to see ,Many animal to seen also , big areas. too bad after covid times the show dont have it anymore , Can drive around like safari a bit but be careful as freedom monkeys (They had so much everywhere always steal your food pulling in your bag and direct from your hand when your walk.
This was a pretty nice zoo that had plenty to offer and had a good assortment of wildlife to view. The aviary and elephant paddock were my favorites. Renting a golf cart was a pain as it was slow, hot and disorganized. They claim to sanitize the carts after the last customers but they dont do anything. We parked the cart and to view the lions and the monkeys stole a bag of chips out if the cart. This was hilarious to me, but he mindful if you dont want to lose anything while you step away.
What a wonderful and fun experience at the Open Zoo. Featuring a wide variety of animals and reptiles.up close and personal. Definitely worth the drive. I loved the Monkees and Capybaras..
Not worth the price especially if you pay the foreigner price for tickets. There’re not a lot of animals, some areas even empty.I’d not recommend this zoo to anyone. If you are from Bangkok and willing to spend up to 3 hours driving, I would recommend you to go to a zoo in Kanchanaburi. The only few reasons I gave it a 2 stars instead of 1 are because1. All staff members are very nice and supportive.2. The only seal in seal tank are very playful, friendly and very very cute.
Signs and map are very confusing , places are considered organized ,if you traveling with a big family , you will be annoyed by getting on and off the car all the time , best to rent a golf car which only can carry 6 adults . they do have 15 seater touring car but not for rent.
This is an amazing zoo and definitely worth a visit. The zoo, is huge and you get around by driving a car, a cart or a bike. You can rent a golf cart here and you get to see all kind of animals. The highlight was the giraffe and elephant, the hippo was cute and the tiger was funny.
Generally a nice Zoo, some of the enclosures could be a little bigger, Its a little run down so this place needs some good management decisions and some more vistors.I can see it would have looked amazing a few years ago.
A nice zoo for a family outing. The drive to the zoo was awesome; you have to drive around 5km in the depths of a rural area to get to the zoo and the air was amazing on the ride up. Golf carts of 4 and 7 seats are available for personal hire. There are 2 zones. Zone 1/ Zone blue is accessible by walking and golf cart. The majority of animals are there and are within their enclosures. There are monkeys running around so be careful of your belongings and not going near mother monkeys with children (they might bite ya >:3 ). Zone pink is mostly treaded by your own vehicle and has zones for different animals, i.e Australia zone and cat complex. Its a whole day thing and mostly outdoor so plan a whole day for this. Best for kids, since its just a zoo and not much else. They do have animal shows which can be entertaining. Overall, a great place for a family outing.
A lovely place to visit with kids. U can find a lot of wild animals which are socialized/well trained.
you can drive your own car into the zoo.
An absolute must. They know how to take care of the animals. Feed the giraffe, play with deer, talk to Rhinos. The place itself is breath taking. Tip: If you have a DL, take the self drive cart...its worth the effort.
Very big zoo, you can drive through on some parts, or rent a golf cart, there is tram.train too. There penguin, feeding and elephant swimming show. Lots of animals are open in the air. Some so close you can touch them. Great day out for a family with children.
It was extremely hot. But here is tram can go everywhere inside park. Need to pay as well. Has different price for thai and foreigners as usual.Kids enjoyed 😉
Ride golf car is good decision for seeing around because your cannot go everywhere but golf car can
This zoo is in the middle of Hills and real jungle ..animals are kept in natural habitats…there are two zones …green zone and pink zone. You can rent tram or golf cart to roam around..pink zone you can drive by yourself. They have most varieties of animals. Rhinos, white tigers and lions are most viewed. Admission fees for foreigner is 200THB and kids 100 THB..
I like it, always nice to get some open air and interact with animals. some visits are up to the animals, are they sleeping, eating, playing. the set shows of the March of the penguins is constant and usually popular and can buy snack to feed them on stage. the swimming with elephants is always popular and when busy people need to que up early for the next show. feeding the elephants and giraffes is also popular and a good photo opportunity. this year traffic was down and there seemed to be less animals. they are also upgrading a couple of the parking lots. easy to park, can ride several available trolleys or rent a electric golf cart for a fee about 500 baht and up depending on size and time 4 seats or 6 seats a couple hours or more.the carts are nice but the trolleys work well and you only need a cart to go to the big cat , guar, Australia section. the rest is close enough to walk easily.watch out for the roaming monkeys. some are aggressive to snatch food or a purse out of your hands, will climb into carts looking for snacks. usually dont fear you and can chase a person out of a cart. if they see a cane, walking stick or slingshot they usually will leave you alone.there are several well placed snack and restroom options.
Many kinds of animals here. Suitable for family holiday. Have many shows as the zoos schedule.
Best Zoo in Thailand ;you can rent your own golf car and drive around the place...wonderful experiences , definitely will come back again
Great zoo, but make sure to take a golf cart to get around for the hot days 😉
Good layout to how to go around the zoo. Recommend to hire the mini golf car to get around for the better experience. So much to see for little one, find all the animals in hidden.
Even though about 65% of the park is empty of visitors and animals, it is still a great place for families and visitors. There is plenty of parking. Lol The animals that are there are well cared for and appear healthy. But the exhibits that have closed down are quickly being overgrown and lack maintenance.
The best part of the zoo is the lemur island. Pay 50 baht (for adultsextra to get on a raft to get there and feed the lemurs who are actually very friendly. They jump on your shoulder and eat the food. Food (saladcomes in plastic cup which costs 20 baht each. Take note that this part only opens on weekends and public holidays.
This is so disappointing. The zoo was super disorganized. The animal rooms were heavily under construction. The drivable path (pinkleft you so few animal to see. The green path you can not drive inside. Gotta walk or rent golf car. It’s a big zoo i got so tired after finish the pink one i left. Dont know how they went this far. I have seen better.
The Khao Kheow Open Zoo at Siracha was fine. Heard about elephants being tortured and submerged in water. Was told that the current show had no vacant seats. Removes all the wonderful memories if the place if the elephant torture story is true.
Lots of people, waiting a long queue for golf cart. Animals are not that much/variety but most of them are in good condition.
For all animals lover will be like this place no matter you are kids or adults!!!The oldest open zoo in Thailand located not so far from Bangkok convenient to come. The zoo is separate in to 2 zone Green and Pink. The Green zone mean no visitors vehicles allowed only zoos bus or rent golf car which is 500THB per 2 hr. Or you can walk around (I do recommend to catch zoos bus and walk each area ;Highlights areElephant swim showsPenguin paradeHippopotamus Mae MaliBird cage (this time I didnt visit)Etc.The pink zone is area allowed to bring owns cars inside or rent golf car.The area is very big and winding road with up and down hills.Highlights ;Shows wonder land sealTigers mountainApesEtc.In Dec year 2021 there is event that you can camping inside in the camp area in pink zone. Which have special night tour to see animals at night behavior. Which I would recommend. This activity will arrange only every Fri to Sun of Dec. 21. Entry fee 590 THB for adults And 250 for kids up from 5 years old.Further information for next year shall check to official page.
Meet expectations. Good choice for family with kids. The ONLY comment was that I was told by the officers at the golf cart station that there would be 50 THB deposit for the rent. I eventually didn’t get it back because they later told me that it was a mandatory insurance fee! .. could have told me so.
Pros: Cheap tickets, young kids enter for free. Lots of animals to see and as the pace is huge, its not too crowded.Cons: Golf carts will all be rented out if you arrive late, so come in the morning if youre visiting on the weekends or holidays! Also, wild monkeys are everywhere looking to grab snacks or unattended belongings, beware!
Great open zoo. Freeroaming monkeys, lots of viewable animals. It has been closed long time due to covid, but its open now. They are still cleaning it slowly, but a great full-day fun for a family. Very cheap too.
One of my sons’ favorite places to visit! The animals are well treated~ the zoo is clean and well maintained! Due to covid, you are not allowed to drive your own vehicle in, must rent golf cart or use their shuttle which i understand.
Huge zoo with good maintenance…. Kids will love this place as they have options to feed animals (Giraff, Elephants, Ostrich, Deers)… reasonable entry fee 250B for Adult n 100B for kids.. worth visiting n recommended
just visit today. i think the best way to explore this place is by rent golfcart 500 THB 4 person or 700 THB for 6 person. plus 50 THB for insurance. The interesting only on africa zone for that giraffe and rhino. other is not attractive especialli australia zone nothing to see. penguin zone is bad conditoon and the glass full of stain can not see clearly.
amazing zoo with many kinds of animals!can rent golf-car and enjoy riding in zoo to the open area.
Me and the little one really enjoyed our visit here. Im hoping that once the corvid situation is over well be able to feed the animals.
This is one of my favorite place in Chonburi Thailand. Its an open zoo and very spacious. You need to rent a golf car to travel around. But you love to walk its the best place.
This is a great little, well big Zoo. Drive through, lots too see. Yiu can feed the animals, griffes, tigers, elephants, bears, deer, flami gos, hippos, monkeys. All sorts of stuff. Its a full day venture and well woth it!!Good time to be had here
The zoo is now the only public zoo closest to Bangkok, about 1.5 hour drive. No more personal cars allowed inside the zoo. No more animal feeding. It looses a sense of opened-zoo where you could have been closer to some animals. Spare time to enjoy varieties of wildlife. Nothing much to eat inside. No outside food is allowed. Its still good though. Just get a golf cart!
Excellent place to visit with kids ! Life time experience with all kinds of animals, from water to land and air, from various continents. Kids enjoyed a lot watching these huge animals and birds closely. Though far from city, but make some time on the way, between Bangkok and Pattaya, to watch these creatures. All animals are well maintained. The facility of golf car is also good but little expensive. Around 2-3 hours could be spent here. The tickets were cheap, discounted till end of September 2020. Its a MUST VISIT site for a family trip !!!
It’s good for family visit a lot of things to see, clean air hugs area to sightseeing. They have a show in different time please check schedule you can spend all day long here. It’s must better if you rent a golf car around the zoo event hight price but it’s worthed.
Great drive through zoo with many different and beautiful species. Lots of parking along the way, feeding areas and shows for the children.Prices were reasonable: 150 for Thai, 250 for foreigners and maybe 100 for children.
This open zoo is huge. Golf cart rental recommended to travel in side the zoo. Its 500 Baht for first 2 hours and 200 Baht for every hour after that. We spent 4 hours there and couldnt see it all before it closed. There are a nice variety of animals there. E.g. hippos, rhinos, giraffes, lions, kangeroos, koalas, penguins, deers and tons of monkeys. There are also shows in the afternoon like the Penguin March where you can see the penguins up close and even feed them.
Best thing about this zoo is that if you do not want to ride on a tour bus with a bunch of other peeps, you can rent a golf cart (bring your passport if you want to rent one). We were able to check out the animals we wanted to and not waste time where we did not want to. If you can not make it to a safari park, this zoo will be the next best thing. Recommended!
