Informal Asian eatery featuring custom stir-fry dishes made-to-order on a circular BBQ grill.
Great service, great food. I live a ways away, but always worth the trip when I can make it. Too bad theyre closing 11/14/21.
The sesame sticky buns are fantastic! The meat usually turns out a little tough, but everything else is wonderful. Great flavoring, good selection of hot teas.
Not worth $25 a plate not by a long shot even after I over seasoned everything it was bland and watered down. My 3 year old made my paskety once if was not much more than wet Ramen noodles with ketchup but was way better than what I just paid $25 for I wish I would of walked out now my lunch money is gone but my hunger isnt.
Wonderful buffet all-you-can eat options and cooked in front of you. Staff are very welcoming and can give great advice for sauces and dish mix options if you feel overwhelmed on how to get all the things you love and have the mixed platter still taste great.
It isnt quite what is used to be. Somehow lacking flavor even though we all followed the sauce instructions. We dont go often and usually it is for a celebration of some kind. We were expecting the yummy appitizers that used to come with a buffet order and mostly we were disappointed that at the end we got a basket of the most relished butter and honey steamed and soft (and so dreamy I could go on and onlittle steamed buns. We were full and didnt ask the server and figured it must not be part of buffet order. We were a party of 6 so you think they would throw in the buns. But oh well. Like I said we dont get there often but it isnt what it used to be.
The food is more authentic than Genghis Grill. The flavor is great and is very flexible. You literally create your own bowl; meat, veggies, noodles, sauceThe price is in the middle/high, I think the experience counts because its a not traditional restaurant style and you can make your bowl as big or little as you want. Highly recommend! Service is great as well. Besides one man...I havent had any complaints about the service.
Really disappointed with my experience here. Was pretty expensive for a small bowl and to be honest, I don’t even know if they charged me the right price??? $20 for a small bowl??? To make it worse, my food was burnt when I got it. The only part I enjoyed about this experience was the sweet guy making the food. He deserves a pay raise.
No flavor, food was bland. Noodles were overcooked and soggy. The chicken taste like the grill wasnt clean.
This place is wonderful the service was fantastic they close at 9:00 p.m. we walked in the door at 8:32 p.m. we had all you could eat I got hot tea it was good also our hostess shes the best shes smiles she was very helpful helping us order very quickly very accommodating super super nice our waiter he was very nice and the service was superb great food super good food Cooks were nice I talked to several people everybody was nice.
This place is always fantastic, if you enjoy fun and delicious food then come here. Plus they usually have the show MXC playing on at least one tv. Such a great place and the chips they have are so good you will want more.
Always fresh ingredients to choose from to make your own, personalized delicious dish. The service is efficient and friendly. The kids love it as much now as teens as they did when they were toddlers. Still love to tip and ring the gong.
It was ok. Good service, decent food, but overall experience for a near $20 one time trip/bowl lunch was sub par. There are many asain buffets one could go to with a Mongolan BBQ and everything else for far less $.If the price was lower, this place would make more sense.
Prices seem to have almost doubled since our last visit and we had to wear masks and gloves when going thru the buffet line. The food was every bit as good, as usual, but we opted for paying for a single bowl as we had done in the past. As a result (because the bowls seem to have gotten so smallwe left the restaurant still feeling hungry.Although the food was excellent, it was costly, so we dont feel like we get our moneys worth here any more and we probably wont be coming back anytime soon.
Food was good, but NEVER have I had such rude service. The manager, Sherry, was awful. She literally SCREAMED at us for sitting down at a table since we werent aware of needing to wait to be seated (since no one was there to do soprobably wont go back now which is sad because the food is good, but Ive never been so embarrassed in my life.
I had a bad experience here. I ordered the Genghis bowl and the water chest nuts that came tasted rotten. It actually upset my stomach pretty bad. The server was distant even though they werent busy. I wont be recommending this location. Ive been to other Khans before and this was the worst one Ive been to.
Went for lunch and was seated right away. Service was great. Employees were all wearing masks. The buffet is open again for self service, but you do need to wear a mask and they provide gloves that you also need to wear when at the buffet. Overall the food was great! My only complaint is that I cannot make a bowl as good as they do, but thats not their fault.
This Khans location is probably my favorite place to eat in the whole of the metro area. The restaurant decor and the staff arent anything to really write home about, but the food? Its to literally die for. You grab your meats and spices from the buffet and they cook your food right in front of you. Its hot, its spicy, and its delicious. The restaurant also has lots of parking and a full bar (which Ive admittedly never used.Every time I stop down in the cities, I try to stop for a meal at Khans.
Greeted and seated right away. Very good service and they are being very cautious with safety. That said, after I sat down with my food, I found 2 shrimp and what I think was a piece of calamari in my dish. Luckily Im no allergic, but eating seafood still makes me nauseous.I feel that the cooks could take extra precautions to ensure each persons portion does not get crossed into anothers while cooking.
We love this place. We are very happy they are back to allowing customers to pick their own food. We have been coming to Khans for over 32 years. I am happy to continue for another 32 years. Great service, nice staff. You pick your food and sauces and bring you food to the grill. Where staff grills the food while you wait. Yum. Yes we will come back.
I cant heapvenough praise on this restaurant. Ive been going since I was a teenager, and now I tske my kids there and they love it. Delicious food, great prices for how much you get. I could make a meal of just the Mongolian salsa and wonton chips.
So glad my sister pushed me to check this place out years ago because its been a favorite of mine ever since. Build your own bowl is the only way to go and its worth every penny. Quick, friendly service.
Great food. Can do vegetarian or low carb or vegan. Yum 😋!
Its good, but lacking flavor at the grill. Wish I could add the ingredients myself. However, they know how to pile it on!
Great place to eat like always very friendly and polite they always make sure you have what you need and there quick about it
Great all-you-can-eat Mongolian BBQ. Tons of fresh meats and veggies mixed with your favorite sauce combination and grilled up to perfection. You can eat healthy here and also work with any kind of dietary restriction you can imagine. This isnt a place to come if youre not hungry, as the prices are a bit high (about $17 for one plate, and $22 for all you can eat).
I love this place. The food is amazing, its a buffet type chose your own stir-fry. The selection is very broad and seems to be good quality. The staff there are always friendly and the manager will greet you with your name if your there enough like me lol.
COVID-time review: Amazing transformatiom of a raw food buffet line to individual take-out. I got there at 5:00 and even with one group ahead of me, it was still about a 10 minute wait. The food was as delicious as it ever was. You go in the restaurant and walk through the buffet line, telling the server what you want. They pile it on super high, just as the restaurant has always been known for. Food was just as good as it has always been. Still playing the Japanese game show and sports on the TV. Portion was huge. I took it home, are as much as I could, and still had a full portion left and then some. Standard trip through line was $19 after tax, and included white rice, wonton chips, special Mongolian salsa/dip, and a fortune cookie. No asian sticky buns with a regular line order. But otherwise just as good as always.
The place is amazing before the pandemic and even now they are doing the best they can with all the restrictions. Good spacing and unfortunately you cannot make your own bowl but go through the line and pick it out with them. I would recommend to do one bowl because of how much they put in it!
Fill a bowl with goodies and they will "Mongolian stir fry" it for you. Im lazy, so I went with the Genghis Khan bowl from the menu, but my son filled his own bowl from the buffet and it looked great.
Its very nice to have them open to inside seating. The new style of making your bowl took me a bit to get used to, since one of the employees is putting it together you need to be exact on how much of what items you want. They do get the hotness perfect (I always seem to make it too hot).
We have been long time patrons of Khans and were very happy to return after they re opened. It was clean and the staff was nice as always. The barriers were clean and the staff making the bowls were wonderful. However, the food was I can only assume spoiled. The beef my husband and I couldn’t even stomach. It smelled spoiled. The smell was pungent. I’ve never in all the years we have been going experienced anything like that. We brought it up to the manager and he was not willing to even listen. Neither one of us ate our food. Just spit it into the napkin. $20 a plate and the manager won’t even hear you out. We refuse to return.
You make your own meals and sauces so you control how spicy or not ,your food is and what exactly you want in it. Kinda pricey
Great service. Food is great. You build your own plate of a huge selection of meats, veggies, fruit, and sauces. They have guides posted on how to choose the spice level for your dish. The grill masters then grill up your choices. Then, you enjoy. Also, they have an all you can eat option.
Ive been coming here for years. I really enjoy the food.It takes a while to get your favorite dish dialed in with the sauces but once you find your flavor, it becomes something you look forward to having when you visit. Its also a great way to experiment with different ingredients and sauces. You get to be your own chef in someone elses kitchen. If youve never been, I highly recommend coming here.
I have been coming here since 1998, and have yet to be disappointed. It is lovely to arrive and for the owner and staff to always treat me like family! All sauce recipes are a family secret and their primary house sauce has no equal when Compared to any Mongolian BBQ I have ever been too. Like spice, take a scoop or 3 of their dragon sauce, and you will definitely be satisfied
The worst place of all in the town. I ordered food and got a phone call so need to go and they didn’t give a togo even when the food is not touched. When I asked them a bowl they replied in a arrogant way. Even though they didn’t mention that they don’t give togo. Finally when leaving she said if I need a box they asked 5$ just for empty box.Never seen in this behavior
Havent been here in a very, very long time. Seems a little overpriced, sauces dont taste quite right and are hard to mix. Drinks are $3 extra, and our cook seemed to overcook all of our dishes giving them all a black crust. I think your better off going too Super Moon Buffett. I dont think we will be back.
One of my favorite places to eat! I love the choices of fresh meats and vegetables!! This location is decent enough. Things are kept clean for the most part and the wait staff are usually very helpful. Only complaint I have is that I wish they would do a bit of a better job making sure that the vegetables are properly sorted more frequently. I hate it when I would grab some bell peppers but carrots and cabbage and such got in there with some guests rushing and all, and I would have to hold up the line because I dont want certain things on my plate! Other than that, I love it.
The food was good af and the people that work there are really nice
Great food. Gotta learn to pile it high!
Wooden chairs. No booths. Bar is in a seperate area then dinner area.Buffet style all you can eat. Make your own plate. Vegan friendly.
I forget how this place is! Do the all you can eat! Had a group of 5 and they seated us quickly. All in all a nice place to visit with friendly service. I go hear for something different!
Hats off Khans. The food was amazing. Being a vegetarian I found it easy to choose my protein, veggies and the different type of sauce. Its great to put a menu out how much sauce to put to make it perfect. My Mongolian friend told me that its not an authentic Mongolian restaurant. I would recommend to go to this restaurant. Try the One Bowl noodles. Pile up as much you want. The trick is add noodles to your bowl last, that way you can add as much protein and veggies in one meal.Dont forget to try the Wonton chips and Mango Salsa. I loved that salsa.
Ive been here many, many times and am never disappointed! The food is always delicious and every single time Ive dined here I have received fantastic service. This restaurant has a fun atmosphere because all of the staff are super upbeat, always smiling, and they love to joke and have fun! And there are many different options and ingredients for your stir fry. Khans is a great place to dine with a large group, have a date night, or even solo. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Took my Son to his favorite place for his birthday meal. Mark our server was a gem. Took more pictures to share.
Oh my stars, did this place amaze tonight. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the meat looked amazing and tasted fantastic. All the veggies were crunchy and crisp like they should be. The chefs tonight were spot on! Every bite melted in my mouth.
What a great restaurant. Casual, welcoming atmosphere, friendly and professional and helpful staff, delicious self-designed stir-fry made before your eyes (so you can eat healthily !). Full bar, and a decent wine selection (for this type of police), too. Clean restrooms and overall. Lots of seating. The music was slightly loud, and its genre made me chuckle, something rock and roll but from the 90s.
It was a bit of a disappointment. We chose to eat here based on the 4.3 star rating, it really didnt live up to the hype. First, the tables and chairs we were sat at were sticky in several places. Many of the tables around us were vacant and needed bussing. The food itself Mongolian buffet style was okay, good variety of meat options but lacked possible variety in sauce combinations. Most were subtle variations on either soy, oil or lemon juice. There was little direction or guide suggesting what would make a good bowl as you find in other Mongolian buffet places. In the end, the strongest flavor to come through was oil. The service was slow and with it being pre-dinner and not yet a rush, it didnt appear to because of the crowd. It seemed to me that people enjoyed it for the all you can eat factor. I wont be going again.
Food is great, service was great, the only issue me and my husband had was one woman( I think she is the owner of manager maybecame up to my husband and questioned him about how much he planned to pay since he had two bowls. He took that as her doubting our server(who thoroughly explained how the bowels workor her treating him as if he was not going to pay. It was rather rude. But overall it was great. I am willing to go back.. my husband not so much.
The food, experience, and price are pretty good but its a bit run down/grungy and the staff are a little scarce.
