Key West - Sunset Key Ferry for Latitudes Resort and Restaurant - Resort in Key West, United States
Great for watching a sunset with that special person.
Cool place to tour
The Latitudes ferry leaves at every 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. They are also limiting seating! Before they used to take everyone who was at the dock with a reservation, now they will only take the first 12-15 people. You will be denied if you are not the first groups of people in line, so wait in the boarding line if you dont want to have to wait 30 minutes for the next ferry.
We didnt stay, we had dinner reservations at Latitudes. The ride over was a nice touch to an incredible dinner.
Restaurant is excellent. Views are outstand as is the service.
Great quiet area! Shopping and great restaurants 😋
Only ate here. Funny thing is I was "sea-fooded" out. Had a burger. Im going back for that. Oh, and the server who wad hilarious 😂!
What can you say? Its a free boat ride! Food and service always top notch at Latitudes.
One thing for sure is you won’t get an attitude at Latitudes restaurant on the private island of Sunset key in Key West. Owned by the luxurious hotel chain Opal, Latitudes is a widely acclaimed 5-Star rated restaurant offering indoor and outdoor dining on a true tropical setting directly on the warm and sandy beach of the island. Other than it’s exceptional cuisine, it is a most romantic setting that also nourishes the desires of the heart. The Opal hotel on the mainland provides a free ferry ride to and fro Latitudes at Sunset Key (about a 10 minutes ride). Reservations at least 2 months in advance is a must… But it’s worth the wait.
The most in elegant dining. Beautiful view of the water. You can eat inside or out. The food is excellent there. Not for the timid palate. The food will tempt and delight your taste buds.
Visited for dinner. The experience was phenomenal! Food and drinks were excellent and the staff was extremely friendly.
Great food, service, scenery and ferry ride.
The only way to access Sunset Key is by this 7 minute ferry ride to the island. You MUST have a resident’s pass, reservations at Latitudes restaurant or the resort in order to access this ferry. The ferry shuttles residents and resort guests back and forth to the music, food, entertainment on Key West (Duval St.and guest diners to and from Latitudes Restaurant. The crew is great and are very diligent in monitoring who comes on and off the island.
I was looking for a shuttle service to Mallory Square as I am mobility challenged to no avail. So I was unable to explore.🤮
Everything was perfectThe service, food, view even the short ferry ride
Stayed here for my birthday. Very comfy and the view from my room was gorgeous.
The ferry was fine, nothing too special. The location was correct and it left on time. Easy as pie.
Very cool short ride...very pleasant and polite staff.
I have been trying to get reservations at Latitudes for years and this trip I finally snag a reservation. Worth the wait!! The food was amazing and the ambiance was dreamy. A must when you are visiting Key West!
Ferry on time. Friendly service and staff
Wonderful dining experience with excellent food. Beautiful sunset. Fantastic key lime pie!! Bit overpriced.
Provides the short ride to Sunset Key. Boards in front of Opal Key Resort. Always on time!
The area is beautiful and unique it was a great time but with a pretty steep price for watersports
The boat crew deserve the best tips
Food was very good and the staff was awesome.
Second time to Latitudes and the second time for excptional food and service
5 star restaurant we loved it.
The appetizers were better than the main dishes. The French onion soup and crab cakes were phenomenal but the lobster was very over cooked. Overall it was a very fun experience but not worth the price
Small but a great way ...and only way to get to the restaurant
Great service. Lovely location, the ferry to take you there is all part of the experience. Food delicious. Excellent value.
Way beyond our expectations. The tuna tartar was the bestbi have ever had. The view is amazing. If you cant get in for dinner go for lunch just dont pass this one up.
Had a wonderful sunset dining experience on 3.18.21 despite being hit by a swarm of TERMITES at dusk, & everyone running away to take refuge indoors. John the Mgr was very accommodating to replace food/drinks w/bugs in them, & credited our ticket accordingly. He was also very helpful in securing the reservation wks beforehand.Michel our server was also very knowledgeable, & respectful of time, & spacing our food items so we could enjoy the moment as a whole, & not become rushed. The key lime martinis were top notch. I enjoyed the french onion soup, & medium rare ahi tuna plate for dinner. My husband had the lobster, & wedge salad. Our 10yr old enjoyed the marinara & noodles childs menu option. The boat ride over at 615pm was a bit packed but nice views, coming back at 930ish pm it was sparse. We sat inside where it was spaced & air conditioned hoping to avoid crowds. The only issue was a very deranged man yelling about face masks (which all were wearing), & that his wife was an epidemiologist. This wasnt the boats fault, he was apparently not well, or maybe drunk, & needed someone to help him mind his own business. We look forward to returning to this restaurant, & staying in a cottage on Sunset Key. We were amazed how quaint, beautiful, & peaceful the island is, & definitely off radar. The termite incident was apparently very uncommon, & not normal so hopefully when you consider sunset dining this wont happen again.
Open air, covid-19 friendly.Beware of the iguana.
We ate at the Latitudes restaurant. It involves a short ferry ride from key west. The views are spectacular and the food very good too. We ordered the yellow tail snapper. One order was perfect, the other one was somewhat overcooked. The key lime pie was the best!
Fun ferry ride over, amazing food and great service. The building and surrounding island was beautiful. Food was pricey but very good. Beautiful artistic dishes, I had the lobster tails.
Our waitress was rude and very unprofessional .... have gone to this restaurant for the past 5 years... will not return
Food was just ok, nine one five and little pearl were much more impressive.End of the day it felt touristy and not worthy of opentable top 50 restaurants.Wife’s grouper was over cooked and the quality didn’t match the price.
On time, courteous, clean and very helpful with accommodations for my service dog.
The ferry is a must if you want to make it to sunset key. Its very clean and you can tell the captain is very knowledgeable of his boat and surroundings. Very nice start to our lovely dinner at Latitudes.
Except for the must wear face mask on the ferry in the outdoors. Not a bad little 10 minute ride.
food was superb , location is great staff is exceptional & courteous ... will recommend for any occasions ... celebrated our first yr anniversary will return again .
Unfortunately, we expected more out of a $300 dinner for 2. On the plus side, fantastic architecture and overall atmosphere. Something that we were not aware of is that your reservation time is actually your boat departure time. We arreved early and were denied boarding until our reservation time. No big deal. As for the service, it was mixed. The hostess though efficient, had no personality for this type of job. Our bartender was great. Good drinks and conversation. Our busboys were more engaging than our waiter. We were seated in the bar which is the pathway to the outside seating area. This lead to a constant stream of traffic past our table. Each time the outside door was opened, we would get hit by a mass of hot humid air that woud disapate just before the door was opened again. The food was spotty. Lobster Bisque to start and we shared the Artisan Cheese plate. Alrhough by no means bad, the Bisque was fair. The cheese plate was very well presented and tasted fantastic. Should come with an optional wine flight. My wife had the scallops. Cooked perfictly but really didnt go well with the corn relish which overpowered the scallops. I had the Wagyu Korean Skirt Steak. Again, cooked perfictly but didnt pair well with mashed potatoes it was served on top of. The sauce, which smotheted it, covered up any sence of the meats natural flavors. Really a great steak underneath. Desert was a Mango Creme Brulee. We split it and it was fantastic.
Horrible staff service. Ask enough questions on the phone before you go. We called twice to confirm that they were open for lunch before taking the ferry over, only to arrive (after waiting a half hour for the ferry and coming over to the islandand finally received the information that they are closed. Literally called and confirmed twice, and it wasnt until in person that the hostess gave us ALL the information and that we could not be seated. HUGE waste of time out of our day. Please instruct your staff to disclose all information to patrons BEFORE they take the time to make their way over. Expected more from a place like this, but a bad worker is a bad worker.
Beautiful location and delicious food. Have to sit outside and time it right for sunset. Totally worth it
Dinner was amazing, however the boat transfer and the captains were beyond rude. The times to come/go was inconsistent and inaccurate. For the price of Sunset Key it is a one and done!
A place not to be missed! Wonderful short boat ride to a beautiful island setting. Food was great and service even better. Start with a key lime martini!
Great staff on the boat! Cruise end 15 minutes before the posted time. Dont know why.
Latitudes restaurant is a must when you go to Key West. The boat shuttle is free and you can valet park your vehicle at the Margaritaville Hotel
Amazing. Great thing to do while in the area. Very informative and a nice little ride
To be honest the best part of this experience was the ferry ride at night. The food was like somebody was trying too hard and at night there were gnats everywhere and I wish I had the photo and I might add it later but I was squishing gnats on my menu which was kind of weird. The people that work there were really nice which was great but the experience for the cost just didnt make sense to me. But again my favorite part was the boat ride at night so if you do choose to go here do you one of the later reservations so you get an amazing view.
