Missoula is one of the best beer towns in the United States. Kettlehouse is my favorite brewery, backed by stacks of awards and acolytes. My favorite place to drink their beer is at the Myrtle Street location, where it all began so many years ago as a brew your own beer spot. This friendly "dive" brewery offers dozens of beers on tap, freshly canned, bottled and of course, growler fills. Kettlehouse breweries are the only place to find many of their delicious beers, Cold Smoke being the most famous. I personally enjoy the Shady lineup. Double Shady is sold out, but Super Shady is still available! A food truck is usually serving guests and chex mix is always on hand.

Great beer but the whole place is dirty! Windows, bathrooms, merchandise area, walls need a thorough scrubbing. If the place is dirty is the beer too??

Home of the legendary Cold Smoke scotch ale, they are a great brewery serving consistently good beer so you cant really go wrong with trying any of their brews.

Used to be my favorite brewery in Montana, with my favorite beer anywhere. But my experience tonight soured my opinion. Coming here used to be one of the highlights if my trips back to Montana. But now I may not come back anymore. The bartender was rude, and overall it was a bad experience. I may just occasionally buy their beer in the grocery store, but avoid this taphouse.

I have to say I am pretty disappointed on the new recipe of Fresh Bongwater. Im not sure why you would change something that people love after 20 years. The new beer has no hemp/nutty flavor at all, I felt like I was drinking water, no flavor at all. I would be very grateful if you went back to the old recipe please.

A legend, a classic, a classic legend. This is a wonderful taphouse with great staff. This brewery has been a wonderful place to raise a pint for a very long time and hopefully it will keep pouring for forever. Thank you Kettlehouse.

The bartenders and the community at the kettle house are the number one reason I go there. The beer is also great 😉. Going there is like a modern day experience from the show cheers. Everyone knows your name and it always feels the same. Thanks south side!

Awesome place to hang out and grab some of the cheapest draughts on tap and friendly staff. Love the addition of the string lights from the Northside.

What a find. I love smaller, low-key breweries where you can easily talk to people, and this was that in spades. Brought some Cold Smoke back with me. Guess Ill have to make another road trip when I run out.

Stay away. Its horrible. Giant spiders will bite your nose off if you come here. :(But if you do come, please dont tell anyone else how awesome it is)

I just gave them a call and as soon as they answered they hung up on me. I called them back and got through but the customer service was poor. Employee was rude, not patient, and was not able to answer my question after I had to repeat myself like 8 times. Great work kettle house you lost yourself a customer.

Best beers and bartenders around! Music and atmosphere on Sunday nights at the South Side are always top notch!

Since the northside closed we go to the southside regularly.Bartenders at both locations were/are great except for one. She handed my growler back with a short fill and dripping wet. At first I thought it was a one off but, no, she is consistent! I prefer filling a growler to buying beer in cans but we can find coldsmoke cheaper at most any grocery store.

Dont judge by their canned options. The rotational beers are always really good. Cool insides of building, literally a strip away from the hip strip. Cant be too hip though. I respect them for that.

Was visitng Missoula MT to brewery hop between 9/23/30-9/26/20.. of all the 10 breweries open during covid, the service at this location was at the bottom. Tried going 2 times before (9/24/20); 1st time the hours had recently changed from being open at 12pm to 2pm so tried to come back a 2nd time later in the evening which was too busy and was required to have a chair in order to order anything so decided to come back the next day. Came back a 3rd time the next day (9/25/20in the afternoon to only be half full and felt like the barmaid was very dismissive towards me. Decided to skip ordering a flight and just use a free drink token I had received from someone during my trip. The design/layout of the brewery and beer I had were the only pluses on the visit to that brewery.

Kettlehouse “South” has an old-school Missoula vibe. It’s located on Myrtle Street. Their “North” location is built in a very cool building near the train tracks and offers shuffleboard and a constant rotation of new and exciting craft beers. Kettlehouse Amphitheater is located in Bonner (about 10 mins outside of townalong the Blackfoot river. If you can score tickets to a show you won’t be disappointed by the views or the brews! Coldsmoke is a must try beer.

Kettlehouse is hands down my favorite brewery in Montana. The beers are incredibly tasty. We frequent the Myrtle Street taproom weekly and the service is great. Everyone that works there promotes the brand like it was their own. We love this brewery and love the staff they hire even more!

Good beer. Decent service most of the time. Was much better back in the day. Took a point off because I bought a party pig there years and years ago, and then decided that they were too much of a pain in the ass to fill anymore. They should have honored the deal they made when they sold it to me.

We brought our two young kids here and were welcomed with a large open space and friendly staff. Will definitely come back with our own food next time.

Great selection! Barrel aged, nitro, gluten-reduced, one offs, there is something here for you! Cozy, friendly and a great stop.

Kettlehouse is fantastic. I love Coldsmoke, if you dont you are probably not ready to live in Montana, and thats ok too. The LemonGrass Chili Kombrewsky was brilliant as well, like a sunny day crafted by Bob Ross.

Great spot with a good atmosphere and delicious beer! They have a growler fill express line, so if youre just popping in for a growler you wont wait long. Try out a burger from the food truck in their parking lot (Wally and Buckif youre there Tuesday-Friday.

This is about the only place we go for work meetings, after work parties, birthdays, anything. Yeah, its a little dingy and definitely packed on Friday, but the beer is great with a wide selection, the staff is super friendly with a sense of humor. Best place to meet real missoulians, with lots of food options within walking distance and downtown is just over the bridge.

My favorite place to get a beer in Missoula. Love the vibes at this hipstrip staple... plus the bartenders are friendly and fast.

No food, no frills, just delicious beer and friendly bartenders. Grab a seat at the bar or on the comfy couch and chairs. Check out the seasonal beers that sometimes include amazing whiskey or bourbon aged barrel varieties. Tonight Im digging the Bongfire Roasted Pepper Porter....yummmm!

Rude service all around, uncomfortable, unfriendly. Charged me extra dollar to fill my specialty growler that was 5 ounces larger, mainly because it wasnt from their brewery. Its not like they ever fully top off the growler, anyways. The beers are never consistent, always taste different.Overrated like most things, by locals. Charged me an non-refundable "deposit" for a party pig, but no benefits to the pig, costs the same to fill 4 growlers. What sort of deposit is non-refundable, you might as well call it a "purchase". Coldsmoke is a sorry excuse to a scotch ale, but what would any montanan know about anything outside of the state. Another horrible business model by horrible montanan business owners.Take the time to drive to the Black Smith or Wildwood in Stevensville. Better beer, better service, and more comfortable tap room oriented for people with taste, not collegiate imbeciles that no nothing different.Oh and dont forget how overpriced the beer at the brewery that brews it is. You can usually get their beer for a better price in bars in town.
