UNESCO-listed national park & former Maharajah's hunting ground known for its abundant birdlife.
Awesome experience to visit. Winters is good time to visit, Oct to march. Visit with ample time in hand. Start early in the day. Bring your packed lunch and breakfast. There are no options for meals inside. Take a bicycle or rikshaw, dont prefer walking.
Almost blew our mind by surprise. Amazingly clean sanctuary. Opens at 6 am and remains open till 6 in evening. One need around 3-4 hrs minimum to see. Very well organised. All the prices are controlled by authority there. So no need to bargain. U have to pay for entry ticket. And the. For the conveyance. U can choose bicycle, pedal rickshaw or tonga. Must hire a naturist or guide with u. He comes with telescope and binoculars. Best time to visit is February. But still one can find good birds starting from November till march. A very calm place. No noise pollution.
Best time to visit is of course Dec-Jan.1. Dont forget to bring your binoculars, DSLR etc2. Hire bicycle if you can do cycling. At Rs 150, you can keep cycle for whole day and roam the park at your leisure. They have good cycles there n its easy n fun.3. Hire a Guide especially if you dont have a DSLR with telephoto lenses. They bring along telescope n not only you get to see Great views but taking pics is also very easy. Costs Rs 1000 for a guide.4. U can take rickshaw too. Its Rs 600 for 2 person for 3 hours. If you are not too much of a birder than 3 hours is enough. Rickshaw wallah too are very knowledgeable and can show/ describe each n every bird.5. There is a decent canteen near the temple which is usually the last point for all tourists. We saw some other animals too like Spotted dear, Nil Gai etcIts a fun visit.
Beautiful serene and clean place. Can see a lot of birds if you take a cycle rickshaw. The electric one does not stop for the views. Canteen is passable. Just focus on the birds and take a binocular inspite the zoom of the camera.
Very well channelised guide and means of transportation for travelling this Bird sanctuary by the govt all rates are fixed and put up on the board. They have a variety of birds which are easily watchable if one follows the map of the sanctuary. A wonderful experience.
Surreal landscape. In season, you will be able to see a variety of birds and their nests. Just bring a good camera and avoid the rains
An amazing place for bird watching and wildlife photography. The main season to visit is winter as there are numerous migratory birds arriving during that period. The photographic opportunity that you get here is really good. The park is well maintained and has designated forest trails. Some of the common species of birds sighted here are Oriental Darter, Red Crested Pochard, Little Grebe, Black Necked Stork, Sarus Crane, Pelicans, Bar headed Goose and so on. Apart from the birds, mammals such as Neelgai, Golden Jackals and Sambar deers are also commonly seen.
Its a beautiful bird scentuary to go during winter. Many bird painted storks ,open billed storks , spot billed ducks ,pintailed ducks etc.If you are a birder , then dont go on weekend because of crowd and noise. Many water bodies and trees are there for birds with area of about 28. 7 km.You can walk or go in cycle rickshaw to see this. There is place to eat and also wash room.
A very nice bird sanctuary. People interested in birds must visit this place. It can be planned over a weekend from Delhi. Many options available to tour like rickshaws, cycle rental etc. There is a small canteen inside to buy water and cold drinks(keep cash, they don’t accept e-payment).
Serene place for all the bird watching lovers. Visit this place in winter is a must if you want to watch some good number of international and local migratory birds and their colonies. Its a very quiet place. Best is to take guides ans binoculars there. Rikshaw wallas also are very good. Trained people to show you birds and they charge nominally as compare to guides though all the rates are set by govt.
Beautiful escape for nature lovers, bird watching. Serene, peaceful and long trails into the woods can be a really soothing experience.Paid cycles, horse-carts are available for hiring. Judiciously use your time to explore the area sprawling over acres, taking time to pause and get down from your convenience and appreciate the beauty of nature.Try reaching museum, the temple at the end point of the main road and the woods adjoining the Hanuman ji temple premises. Advisable to keep umbrella and water bottles handy, as you might need during the trip.
Visit inside the sanctuary is allowed on foot, rented bicycles, normal rickshaw or electric rickshaw. Will take 1-3 hours time depending on your Interest. Inside scenery and natural habit is soothing to eye but you need to have knowledge about birds to really appreciate it.
Go with binoculars to sight migratory birds. Duck shooting board is one of the most interesting fact to know about. Opting for bicycle is another short cut to cover the sanctuary.
Its a wonderful place for the bird lover. There are many kids of bird comming by abroad and other countries. this place is in tha Bharatpur Rajasthan. Most visited please in the world. This is international words sanctuary. Its also Ghana pakshi vihar in Bharatpur Rajasthan India.
Excellent place for Bird watching. Rare species can be found from Australia, Serbia, Russia, cyberiya etc.Be cautious only riksha allowed in century and they will charge 250 per hr and before 4 hrs they will not leave you. Also Bird guide ask for 400 rs per hrs. Be ready to spend around 3k per visit.
It was an overwhelming experience for us. We loved every moment we spent here. Its a great place to explore , learn from and be amidst nature. It was a unique experience to see Pelicans, Storks, Snakebird, Herons etc up close. Guides or even rickshaw pullers have decent enough information to provide you with. You can spend a complete day here if you are really interested in bird watching. Otherwise people also visit this place just for 2-4 hrs - it all depends on your interest and choice.Binoculars can be rented from the gate for 200 INREntry fee is 150 INR per personRickshaw is around 150-200 INR per hourYou can rent a bicycle from the entranceWe simply loved being here and spent 1.5 day visiting this sanctuary.
Being a jungle i loved this place. Only 4 kms from Bharatpur Railway Station.Best time to visit in winters. Do take a camera with you. Charges are very normal.Overall it was good experience
Paradise for nature lovers.. Best time to visit would be from October to January but beautiful place to visit over all.Visits during summer are a different experience all together though, highly recommend
Best Morning Bike ride I have ever been on. It is off season still there were lots of birds to watch, and enjoy the calls of.You can rent the bikes, or take a rickshaw from the front gate itself. There is a gift shop near the front gate too, if you want any memorabilia.Currently only the canteen at the first checkpoint is functional. However, you can still go till the end to visit the temple.
This is an absolute treasure that needs more publicity. The amount and variety of wildlife here is amazing. Definitely hire a guide and be prepared for seeing a constant stream of amazing birds, mammoth turtles, wild animals, diverse vegitation, insects, and maybe even a python. Allow two hours minimum, but you could easily spend a couple of days. .
Awesome experience at the bird sanctuary on bicycle. Preferably one should visit in the morning to get the birds chirping. Both deer and swamp deer cab be seen here. Storks and Devil bird is a treat to watch.
Perfect hangout with friends and family enjoying the beautiful sounds of bird and visual experience of different species of birdIt’s around 4 -5 km and u can opt bicycle / rickshaw
The place turned up as a beautiful surprise as I didnt expected much from this place. But it was amazingly good. Reach early Take cycle if you can else quickly take rikshaw and ask him to take you deep into the wetlands and not to stop in between for other things. Because once you have reached deep inside you may witness anything special on way and also avoid lot of crowd who take pit stops everywhere. rates are fixed take a look at pictures. Was pretty happy to see row full of pelicans and their much talked about coordinated flights. Overall pretty nice weekend trip to Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Visit in winters.
Excellent natural habitat of many indian and migratory birds, cranes, duck and pelican. One can also see python taking sunbath. One can plan to explore the sanctuary for 4-5 hours either in morning hours or late afternoon.
Great experience!!!Very well managed place with sorted means of travel and guides etc. We took a rickshaw with the rickshaw puller serving as our guide too. He was well trained and aware of the places to spot the birds. Fantastic experience
It is an awesome place for birdwatchers. You can see lots of migratory birds here. You can take a rickshaw and cycles on rent. However, i will recommend cycles, so that, you can explore the whole area on your own. Please start early in the morning, as, they have limited cycles.
Must visit national park between November to March. Best time till mid February. Visited for two days back to back but was not enough. Take a good guide (@ 250 per houralong in case a novice like us, they carry their telescope/binoculars as well which is a must. Mohan Singh guide is highly recommended.Try to stay in Bharatpur to get morning time and evening time photos (we were at Agra so takes around 2 hours each way). It is around 6 km inside on one straight road to the centre point. Can take a cycle rickshaw for the ride @ 150 per hour. Or hire a bicycle for the day for 150.Wet lands are feast for eyes and a bird lovers paradise.Washrooms are cleaner at the main entrance only. Avoid the ones inside since very unclean.

For the first time we visited the Bharatpur bird Sanctuary and it was worth the trip. The local guides took us the right spots within the sanctuary to view the birds in natural habitat. You can take a three-wheel rickshaw or a cycle inside the sanctuary. we could view the deer’s, jackal, nilgai apart from the birds. Luckily, we visited the right time of the season and could view - Owl, Peacock, grey goose, myna, green foot pigeon, painted stork, Water hen, Honey buzzard, Spoon bill, Robin, black headed Ibis. Heron, pintail, quail, shoveler, Egret. Best part was that our Guide kept repeating their names whenever we spotted one and we could get a hold of their names...Also meet few photographers with mega lenses and waiting for the right moment to capture the birds in action. (You can also get a Binocular for rent at the car parking or from the guides)
Today we visit a place. Make sure you have enough time to explore all area. Its great fun to ride bicycle with your friends and enjoy the beauty of nature & different migratory birds like pelicans which is thousands of number in this year so we are so happy . we also found dusky owl and 3 forest owlet , also we clicked saras crane . It was my first visit to any national park. Ticket price is around 115 Rs per person. Bicycle available at 50 Rs and Rickshaw at 150 Rs per hour. Guide charges 400 Rs per hour. Hire a Guide if you dont have good zooming camera/telescope with you. You will see a lot of birds after the wetland. There are many bird species. Best time to visit is Winter (November Onward)
If you love nature, birdwatching or just a stroll in the greenery, then you must visit this place. Its one of the oldest bird sanctuaries in the world. Also one of the wetlands taken under the Ramsar convention. Although the place doesnt have Siberian cranes visiting here any more, which used to earlier, but there are still many endemic and migratory birds to observe. The Salim Ali center is good too.Points to be taken care of before visiting here :-1. Carry water bottles and some snacks as the canteen is at the end of a 11 km trail.2. Carry your own binoculars.3. Reach as early as you can like 5:00 am to see birds in their free forms.4. Reaching earlier will also be good if you are in a mood of renting a bicycle ( I strongly recommend)5. Try to go off the trails and for your surprise you will be lucky to spot a beautiful deer or bird or turtle (snakes too)6. Keep it a one day trip, take time to observe. And please be quite.7. Wear camouflage print clothes and not bright colors. The birds and animals dont like it.7. Please do not litter.Hope this helps.
One of the best bird photography destinations in India ! If you are a true bird lover and like to do bird photography or even study birds, you should visit this place. The entry ticket is very cheep (111/- in 2022there are three options to go around the park- walking(tedious), cycle rikshaw (slightly slow but you get a rikshaw driver who is as good as a guide), cycle (fastest but risky if you have a telephoto lensand electric vehicle (fastest but slightly costly)Lots of places in the park to get some amazing frames. Light is very good till 11 am and again gets better after 2.30 pm. Entry starts at 6.30 am and ends at 6.30 pm. You can get your own bicycle as well. Good quality cycles on rent available in Park as well. A must visit ! Avoid Sundays if you want peace of mind.

One of the 🎀 most 🐝 Beautiful 🦚 Bird Sanctuary 🦜 I have ever been to is Keoladeo 🎋 or Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. With the magnificent collection of migratory 🦢 and 🦆 local birds along with the numerous other dry land species like 🦌 Sambar deer, 🐮 Neelgai, 🦔 Porcupine, 🐺 Jackal to name a few.Sighting Eagle 🦅 from the close range that too from the ground eye level has been only possible over here. There is a fishing 🐳 point near the Keoladeo temple 🕍 which serves as a lucrative place for most of the seasonal photographers 📸 due to huge range of Darters and Cormorant birds exercising the fishing toss. 🐟Beautiful nest which are laden on the 🌳 tall dry trees 🍁 in the wet land is treat to watch 🤗 where thousands of painted stork are seen performing their daily activity. If you are lucky enough you could even spot a Night jar 🦉 or Eagle Owl resting in peace 🌼 during the day time.
Nice place...and if you want to see lots of birds in one frame..then visit this place between Nov end to Jan End...And hire a Rickshaw with Mahender dhoni..he has good knowledge of bird and park location.ping me for number..
Awesome. What a marvellous experience !! Got to see many varieties of birds. Need around 4 hrs to see it leisurely. One must reach there by 9am to be able to get rikshaw easily.
Awesome experience to see dozens of bird species nesting in the wetlands. Must visit during winter months, especially late December to February.Visits can be pretty expensive due to an entry ticket of ₹110 + taxes and ₹150 per hour of rickshaw ride. Since the sanctuary is spread in a fairly extensive area, youll be spending upto 5 hours in the rickshaw and that means paying ₹750 for the rickshaw which seats 2 ppl. The rickshaw pullers also expect a hefty tip for guiding you through the sanctuary so be forewarned.

Be prepared to walk as much as possible.
