Tiki torches adorn this kitschy option featuring Hawaiian fare & a bar serving aloha-hour drinks.
Keoki's Paradise in Lihue
Description
Privilege
This was some very tasty food with fast service. The dinning atmosphere was very inviting with great lighting and beautiful dinning area. Very recommended place for an upscale dinning experience. Busy location reserve early.
MoreLoved the atmosphere here. The food was excellent and the piña colada in the pineapple was fun (and one of the best I’ve ever had). I got the panko and macadamia nut crusted fish. My husband got the bbq chicken. Appetizers of coconut shrimp (yummy sauce to go with itand ribs were very good! Don’t forget the hula pie!
MoreThis restaurant is in a shopping center in the heart of Poipu so very touristy, but for location you wouldn’t expect such beauty on the inside! The atmosphere is great with a water feature running through it and dense native greenery that it appears the restaurant was built around. Reservations highly recommended, although we stopped spur of the moment and waited about 45 minutes for a table at 5:30pm. With lots of seafood restaurants on the island it was great to see steak options and the prime rib was delicious. I forgot to take a picture before I devoured it. Again, though, earlier dinner is better, as the restaurant was already out or rare prime rib options early in the evening. Our server Andrew was delightful. The wine list extensive, and although I didn’t have any of the fun drinks, there were plenty of umbrella options being served that looked delicious. The only thing to be aware of is they are strict on substitutions. I don’t like brussel sprouts, which are included with the meal, but could not switch out for a salad so had to pay extra for the salad and gave my husband the brussel sprouts.
MoreAbsolutely stunning place to have lunch. Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful staff, and great service. Our drinks were cold 🥶 and the food was delicious. The view from our table of their gardens was refreshing. I had the prime rib sandwich and could barely finish it. Left very full and all five of us loved our meals. Definitely do yourself a favor and stop here for your meal.
MoreHad dinner here and it was amazing!!! The food and service were excellent, the atmosphere was really awesome, drinks were yummy and generously proportioned. Dessert was also very good. Plus the price of the meal was very reasonable compared to the other restaurant we went to the previous night. It was fairly busy but still a calm and relaxing environment. I cant recommend this place enough! My partner and I cant wait to come back here.
MoreBeautiful setting. I loved the openness of the restaurant. There was live music being played during our dinner. The food was underwhelming. Unfortunately, Nothing really stood out as something I would recommend or come back for. Food wasnt bad, it just was maybe a little bland. There were five of us at dinner and everyone had the same reaction.Service was excellent and our waitress was attentive and kind.I just kind of wish the food was a little more exciting.
MoreThe is it the best restaurant in poipu! The meal starts with bread service which is a sweet spiced pineapple muffin served with cinnamon honey butter. For the appetizer I highly recommend the crispy honey hoisin pork ribs. I believe they are baked or sous vide, let to rest, fried before serving and glazed. They have a delicious crispy, cracklin bite with a sweet hoisin tang. 🤤 So good.Ill leave the entrees up to you. Everything Ive had here is incredibly delicious, choose what sounds good and savor every bite.Note: You may make reservations, and I would recommend it as this place gets busy. However, if you were not able to book ahead there is open seating at the bar, first come first served, and you can always request to be added to the wait list. The earlier you arrive the better your opportunity.
MoreExcellent for allergies!! Our server Scotty (or Scottie?was SO considerate after hearing that we had a nut allergy in our party, he preemptively made sure every single item was nut-free, and even remembered to check on the desserts and provided a nut-free alternative version of the hula pie! Everything we had was incredible and along with the wonderful staff, the decor of the restaurant was pristine and tropical! Absolutely would recommend, great experience!
MoreNicest staff you ll find in Kauai- Honestly- so courteous, kind and generous! We got the cheese burger- which was excellent. They have complimentary muffins which served as delicious appetizers. Excellent ambience. We got to enjoy a local Hawaiian singer. Couldnt understand a word- but his music was a treat to the ears and the environment !
MoreA beautiful setting, wonderful staff, and we were fortunate to be there for live music. The "Keoki Style" swordfish, accompanied by calamari and a local variant of a Mai Tai made for an outstanding meal and wonderful evening.
MoreIf you’re looking for a cool Hawaiian dining experience be sure to checkout Aokis. Very nice atmosphere, great service and the food was good. We had Aokis style fish and the fish duo. Be sure to make a reservation in advance as it gets pretty busy
MoreStopped by for a drink thinking there was a Happy Hour. There was not. When we toldthe hostess that she did not mention they did not have one. As a result we only had drinks and no food. Drinks are a bit pricey but it is a more upscale setting. The inside is open air in a very tropical and lush setting. The Pina Colada served inside a hollowed pineapple were yummy. The bartender was great. Lots of people were grabbing an early dinner and we heard many complement the food. It is right near all the Poipu hub of activities.
MoreRecommended by our awesome tour guide from Kauais Backcountry Adventures, Keokes Paradise totally lived up to the hype. Cocktails were great, the mac nut crusted fish (onowas fantastic, and I was so grateful that they swapped French fries for the normal shiitake mushrooms for my seared ahi, which was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole vibe of the place is beautiful, peaceful, and unique.Hula pie at the end was worth it!
MoreThe best ahi tuna I’ve ever had. It’s so good, fresh, flavorful and perfect. The ambiance was also amazing, being in the middle of a beautiful garden.
MoreBeautiful restaurant and bar, perfectly decorated. Great ambiance and charm. Plenty of tables though it can be hard to get a dinner reservation, so plan ahead. We went for lunch and it was easy to get a table, though the place filled up pretty quickly. Delicious Mai Tai and the Paradise Martini is also a great choice. Everyone loved their food. I had a bowl with kalua and poke, and it was very good.
MoreSuper fun atmosphere, great service, and amazing food and drinks. Definitely add this place to your itinerary.
MoreA great outdoor restaurant. Jennie, my server, took my order immediately. The Prime Rib was tender and delicious. The outdoor dining was beautiful and they lit the tiki torches around sunset. There is a little stream running into a lagoon. Beautiful. I loved the pineapple rain spout.
MoreThis is my favorite restaurant on the island. Everything was beautiful, perfectly cooked, and timed impeccably. Service, atmosphere and taste were all superb. A must try!
MoreBeautiful place! Earthy and fresh ambience!Good Hawaiian food. Staff has amazing energy. The place is surrounded by trees and water giving it a very fresh feel. Live music on Fridays really liven up the place - The singer was good and takes requests. The food was scrumptious and served hot and fresh! They sell the amazing glasses they serve cocktail in.
MoreThe kids burger was undercooked; macaroni and cheese was completely bland with diluted cheese; soy sauce not provided for ahi tuna; had to wait 25 min more after arriving 5 minutes after pick-up time (50 min wait). The food was cold. Our kids only ate the fries and their favorite foods are burgers and Mac and cheese!
MoreGreat food, awesome setting. Try the pork sandwich with Taro chips. Its an open air restaurant that makes you feel like youre dining in an oasis. Peep the gray lady bug!
MoreBased on other reviews, our anticipated visit was very disappointing. Our server moved around other tables longer with absolutely no contact (eye, a nod, anythingbefore coming to ours with an immediate "Are you ready to order?" My son ordered a ham and cheese omelet with fries, came out with potatoes; we had to wait for the return. We had no check-in on our meal. When I realized there was no ham in the omelet, I had to wave the server down. We didnt ask; just told them to take it off the bill. Even delays paying the bill. The pros: ease of making the reservation. The loco moco was generally alright; my husband loved the Portuguese sausage and instead of white rice, it came with a very delicious char sui rice. The fish tacos were very, very fresh (did not taste Cajun). But the absolute WINNER was the calamari appetizer. Big strips that melted like butter in your mouth; my 7 y/o was preparing to meltdown if we all didnt split the final strip. While we will NOT return here for a meal, a to-go of calamari is a must.
MoreThe seafood risotto was the best! Though the griled teri chicken for my keiki was a bit dry.. i like the ambience and the vibes of the place. Also, there is a singer who provides lovely music.
MoreKeoki’s was so perfect for our first night out in the island. The atmosphere was very private, lush and beautiful. The state was very friendly and accommodating. I used open table for the reservation abs stated that we were there for my mothers birthday and unbeknownst to me they had a happy birthday card waiting for her and an amazing birthday dessert! Truly great service. Our entrees were soo fresh and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this peaceful little slice of paradise!
MoreWe made a reservation for 11 people. When we got there, our table was ready. It was in a nice area next to a creek flowing through the landscaping. The waiter was right there to take drink orders. The drinks were fantastic. I had a rib-eye steak that melted in my mouth. Everyone else loved their food. I would highly recommend Keokis to anyone going to Kauai.
MoreAppetizers were amazing, Specifically the Pork Ribs and Shrimp. The ambience was so relaxing, requested a song and they played it. Had such a blast! Drinks are pricey and the waiter wasnt the best, but overall very good. Not worth the Pineapple as a cup, unless its your first time. But the Chefs Duo Fish, I really enjoyed, as well as the fish and chips.
MoreThis place is so amazing. I went back for a second time the following night. Everything was fantastic. You cant go wrong with anybody dishes. Make sure you try the carrot cupcake with cinnamon butter that they bring to the table before your meal.
MoreGood food and great staff. They had live music while I was there. Decent beer selection for Kauai. I loved all the water features around the restaurant.
MoreThe venue was beautiful and great, and the service was equally good. The fish was overcooked and the food was not the best, although there was plenty of food and good presentation. We recommend the burgers.
MoreGreat food and atmosphere! Live local music while we ate. Also highly recommend the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, BEST I EVER HAD!!!!
MoreWe tried to order take-away before we came. The front desk lady transferred my call to ordering, but I stayed on the phone for 9 minutes and nobody picked it up. So we decided to walk in and waited for 30mins. Got seafood risotto and Keoki’s style fish. Both were great! Nice restaurant but do book ahead of time if you plan to come.
MoreThis was my 2nd time at the location. Last visited in 2016 was a 5 star. Unfortunately a disappointing visit. I used to work at Hula Grill - Kaanapali in college before moving back to mainland. Knowing T&S restaurants quality, I had to stop at Keokis. We did a family vacation with my fam, my sisters fam and our mom. My mom ordered the Mac-nut fish. Pretty tasty. I ordered fish and chips - it was good, but nothing super special. Kids chicken tenders were absolute trash. Basic no talent mom recipe which is a shame as I know there is talented chefs in every T&S kitchen. . . well, except on the grill. My wife and brother in law ordered burgers and both were charred. Not completely black but as if the grates were too hot so the char marks had an overwhelming burn taste and char crunch. Our drinks took too long to receive so the manager had already offered us free desert. My wife didnt want to say anything about the burger as she felt greedy already getting dessert for free. Service was amazing. Atmosphere was great. I know Keokis can be good, so dont stay away from it, but please be cautious on what you order. Or, head to Lihue for Dukes.
MoreDelicious Hawaiian Restaurant next to many resorts along Kiahuna and Poipu beach. Made a same day reservation for 8pm at 5pm online.Just to start the meal, the server offered waters with lemon which was a lovely touch. Then the complimentary muffin with banana compound butter was delicious.Skipped the appetizers since we already had a bite to eat earlier and we ordered a prime rib and the fresh fish duo. The prime rib I substituted the mashed potatoes for the kale salad. Everything was absolutely amazing and well portioned. The kale salad was the dark horse and was so good that I was very tempted to order another one. Prime rib was perfectly cooked and very juicy. Fresh fish duo was good as well with local fresh fish and nice sides pairing.Staff was friendly and food came out pretty quick. Love the large covered outdoor seating area.
MoreHonestly one of my favorite places I’ve been to on the island. I HIGHLY recommend calling in advance to make a reservation, this place is busy and for good reason!! The restaurant itself had a lovely atmosphere and the food is top-notch. I had the chef’s choice fresh fish duo which happened to be furikake crusted swordfish and herb-grilled ono. It was DELICIOUS. We also had a hula pie and the banana coconut cream pono pie.
MoreBest of the best in our opinion of Kauai restaurants! The ambience, dining experience, and service were all beyond expectations. The live music and drinks made us fall in love.
MoreWe had such a great time at this restaurant. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious! We loved every part of our experience here!
MoreThe weekend brunch was good. Sorry, no photos. We had a breakfast burrito and a local veggie omelet. Both meals came with crispy potatoes and grilled red peppers. Its also nice that we were able to be seated immediately. Lastly, the service was friendly and efficient.
MoreGreat Hula Pie!The difference to Duke’s Hula Pie: Duke’s has macadamia nuts in the whipped cream topping as well. Keoki’s has no nuts in the topping.update 2021/12/08Pulled BBQ burger was good. Great fries!Daily special was a bit lacking. Three parts carbs and one part poke. Poke was good. Rice and noodle was very average.Hula pie was too sweet for my liking now, especially the chocolate syrup and the chocolate shell.
MoreWe had the Duroc Pork Ribs slow cooked Imu Style, with Mashed Potatoes and Carrots. Pork Ribs were fall off the bone tender, Island BBQ sauce had a nice flavor and was cooked on. Big Eye Poke had Sesame Shoyu, Avocado, Onion, Namasu, Kalo Chips and was delicious. Dessert was their Hula Pie which is Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Fudge and Macadamia Nuts with Whipped Cream very good. We also had the Banana Coconut Cream Pono Pie, Hana Maui Bread Fruit, Coconut, Banana Nut Crust with a Tropical Fruit Relish which was only Ok. Servers are very nice and service is quick. I would definitely come again.
Morevery nice. food was amazing. we had pork ribs and French onion soup. the banana dessert was very good
MoreStandard Hawaiian fare with food that gets the job done but doesn’t wow you in any way. The best item isn’t even something on the menu: the starter muffins with cinnamon honey butter. We ordered the coconut shrimp and calamari to start. Portions for the shrimp were quite small but both items were decent. I ordered the $12 kale salad and was disappointed to receive a small portion the size of a side salad. We also ordered the kalo crusted ahi, seafood risotto, guava bbq chicken, fresh fish duo, and kids meals of teriyaki chicken and a cheeseburger. The consistent theme amongst these dishes was dryness. With the exception of the ahi, everything was over cooked.Don’t expect too much out of this place. You’re mostly paying for the environment.
MoreWanted to try this place per a recommendation. Since there were 6 of us we called ahead for reservations. We were able to get a parking place right in front so that was convenient especially since it was pouring rain.Early dinner at 5pm, but seemed to get ahead of the dinner rush. We were greeted and seated within 5 minutes.Using the QR code on the table we were able to quickly figure out what we wanted, although after some delicious recommendations from our server, we had to take another minute to decide. We decided to try out the basic drinks to see how they were. We all tried the Mai Tai (two types to choose fromand beer flights.Calamari appetizer was amazing! Delicious, hot and so fresh tasting. We ordered ribs and some fish recommendations from the server. Lobster tails were very fresh and well preparedHad the pie for desert. Between 6 of us 1 por was good as it is so sweet and rich.Great experience and hope to come back
MoreWe got take out and this is what they gave for a dish that cost $15. 3 pieces of bread and one tablespoon of the dip. When we called, they asked us to drive all the way back so that they can have a look at it. It’s the middle of the work day and we just wanted to have some food for lunch! We also cancelled our dinner reservation at this place! The fried chicken burger I got was also flavorless!
MoreMade reservations online a few days earlier for a Saturday brunch. The inside of the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere. Got the Loco Moco, family got the fish tacos and the french toast. All were great, would definitely go back.
MoreThis is hands down one of my favorite Hawaiian restaurants, and honestly, I’d call it an experience. The atmosphere was superb. The wait can be a little bit, however enjoy the wait at the bar—chances are you probably won’t even want to be seated at the table. The food here is exceptional. Especially on there specialty days. Burgers and Beers, Taco night, etc.The ambiance is what really sells this place! Live music makes it exceptional. But the ponds on the patio, the rock formation with red lights (to look like a volcano), it’s all so incredible. There’s no bad seat in this whole restaurant.Next time I visit Maui this is the ONE place I absolutely have to return to. If you’re looking for a great spot, you have to come here!
MoreWe came like 20 mins before their last seating (9pmand the hostess/waitress was super welcoming and nice. The environment itself was really relaxing and clean! Pina Coladas 10/10 and Hand Crafted Nachos were 9/10, we ordered it with Cajun Grilled Prime Ribs and there was very little pieces, but overall delicious. The poke stack was 8/10, it delicious but a little pricey. We also ordered the seafood risotto and honestly it was a 5/10, it was so plain and all the ingredients were very little for the price. The lobster tail was like a finger long at most and one piece of shrimp and very little shiitake mushrooms. I don’t even think there was fresh fish in my risotto. Overall, the service was really good and the food. Would come and try again but not the risotto.
MoreI decided to eat today something vegetarian. I ordered Wild Mushrooms and Spinach Ravioli and Pakala Porter, beer of Kauai. I waited less than 20 minutes even though the restaurant was full of customers. While waiting it was enjoyable to be in a very pleasant atmosphere. The lightings and colors in the restaurant are really fabulous. The food was ok. I wish the food portion was larger. The beer was excellent. And, the service was better than i deserved.
MoreLovely place, beautiful setting and very warm and friendly staff. We enjoyed the live music and ambiance. My husbands seafood risotto was excellent and he really enjoyed the glutenfree pie. We also tried the sashimi appetizer which was very fresh and flavorful.I had the Mac encrusted Mahi Mahi. I wasnt a fan, the fish was overcooked and the portion size about 3 ounces. Ho hum rice and three small slightly dirty looking carrots made up the rest of the dish.We enjoyed the hula pie (complementary for our anniversaryand the kitschy drink in a pineapple! Their version of a Moscow mule, Mulake, was good. The restrooms desperately needed attention.I would go again, maybe for the beer and burger night.Ask for a table, the booths are in the travel path of the staff which is distracting. And they arent that comfortable.
MoreVisited on a Sunday around 6pm with no reservation and got seated about 20 minutes later. Service was a bit slow but thats probably because every table was full. Food is good and prices are relatively decent. We had couple of pupus, Hoison Ribs and Ahi Sashimi. Both were good. The entrees were also good. A solid 4/5.
MoreLoved the chickens. Liked the atmosphere. My server was very sweet. The prime rib was a bit over salted but good. The banana bread with maple butter was the bomb.
