Kenny's Thai Kitchen in Forster

Really pleasantly surprised by this place, with great quality Thai food, colourful, fragrant, very tasty and good size portions. On top of that the staff were very helpful, service fast and the head chef Kenny super friendly! Love coming back to this restaurant.

Went to Kenny’s tonight’s as the first time we went it was awesome, this time not so much. When we turned up there were 4 different lots of people waiting to be seated, there was no staff in sight, we saw some staff standing in the doorway to what looked to be hiding from those waiting to be served, 1 of them ventured out and seated one lot of waiting people, when we asked if we could sit down without a reservation as there were heaps of tables with no people seated at them she said you’ll have to wait for the lady and she quickly disappeared out a door, we waited around for ‘that lady to appear’ who didn’t make an appearance so we left as did the other people and we all ended up down stairs at the cafe where we were quickly served and had a great meal.

Lunch menu is good value, with a good selection. The food is delicious.

Best food in Forster! Ridiculously good value, big portions, fresh ingredients, quickly prepared excellent friendly service that makes you feel so welcomed, the vegetarian options are amazing, perfectly cooked tofu and an incredible variety of perfectly cooked vegetables. Tonight I had the Penang curry and fried rice both with tofu & veg and it was so delicious and left me so satisfied and with a whole meal to take home for tomorrow. Very happy customer, thanks Kenny and the team!

We had the absolute pleasure dining with Kennys Thai Kitchen tonight whilst on holidays. Nothing was too much effort for any of the team. As a coeliac they catered for me, cooking entrees in a separate fresh wok! They must a special entree for my boyfriend. Service was excellent, food was amazing! Look forward to dining with you again soon :)

worst food. we ordered chicken fried rice, i guess the rice was just taken out of fridge and made warm. i could literally find some cold chunks of rice. taste was disgusting. never going back again. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮waste of time and money..

Food was ok however service (other than the oldest waiterwas horrible. While taking our order it felt like an inconvenience to the waiter and then having to ask once for cutlery/chopsticks and another time for serviettes was a further inconvenience

Kennys is always consistently brilliant, the food is probably the best Thai in the area and the service is great.I always recommend him to any new visitors to the area.

Ive been here a couple of times on the past few years, but tonight was my best experience. The quality of the food was excellent. The tamarind snapper and the coconut chicken were first rate. The pricing was reasonable and the serves generous. The service was somewhat harried but hey the food made up for all. Great work Kennys

Worst Thai ever!We have been attempting to get a table here for the past 3 years, but always booked out!We finally managed to dine here for lunch last week and looked forward to a good meal, which started out well with the appetizers.After that it was downhill all the way, from the Crispy Chicken with Coconut rice and the Pad Thai dish my husband ordered.The crispy chicken was NOT crispy, the rice was as dry as anything with no hint of coconut. the whole dish had been heated up and microwaved to death, hence the lack of crispiness, the dryness of the rice and the scalding heat of the vegetables. The Pad Thai dish was devoid of any sauce to combine the noodles with the veggies and prawns, far too dry.In all the worst Thai experience we have ever come across - the meals were terrible and Kenny should be ashamed!We also realised why it is so difficult to get a table too - if you only want a table for two they dont have many and wont offer you a table that is set for 4! Another con to make you think that this restaurant is so popular! Kenny you are a joke never again!

Tried it again. The sauces on the stir fries are all very sweet. Totally lacking that lovely balance of salty, sweet, sour that you get in good Thai restaurants. The servings are a good size though and the curries are reasonable. You can even get burgers.------Its OK. Its very much westernized Thai, but quite reasonable if you are not after authentic.

i had the coconut chicken and i loved it. i would definitely eat here again. i see that you reply to the comments on here so could you please recommend me a list of what to eat first in order on the lunch specials? im an indecisive person.

Always very consistent good quality food

Food was good, but poor service ruined it. Sticky chicken wings good. Tom yum goong strange colour and lacked punch. Tom ka gai balance was wrong. Golden nuggets brown and dry. Barramundi great. Pork belly very good. We turned up with no booking at 5:45pm to an empty restaurant and were told fully booked. It was weird to see an empty restaurant and be turned away, but booked is booked. Then she said people were booked at 7. We had over an hour to be in and out, but she didnt offer us a table. We didnt expect to take someones table at their booked time, but we expected an alternative. No mention of takeaway or get the food and eat downstairs, or eat fast. We said wed be quick so the waitress indignantly allowed us a table near the kitchen. We felt unwelcome. We ate quick and were gone with the restaurant still empty. The food deserves 4 stars...the service zero. I recommend takeaway so you get the good food, but avoid the staff who dont want to accommodate people. I feel sorry for the chefs who obviously care about good food being stuck with those staff who are probably provided by the club.

Mid-day meal s are best value and taste

I phoned Club Forster on Friday 3rd May and booked a table for 7 at Kenny’s for the following evening (Saturday 4th). The person who took the booking wasn’t entirely clear in their tone, so I was sure to double-check the booking with them. Anyways, on Saturday night we arrive at Club Forster and whilst showing the door staff our license, we are told that Kenny’s is closed for a private function and that our table was booked for the previous night (Friday 3rd). The door lady did not apologise for the mixup and she stated ‘it was not her fault’, after we stood there lost for a few moments she indicated there was alternate dining at the bistro, we subsequently left. Lift your game Club Forster and Kenny’s Thai Restaurant.

Average Thai imo, service was great , food was very westernised and lacking punch in flavour generally.

Great place for lunch. Very Very friendly staff. Good flavour. Do grab a great northern beer, it goes with the meal. They go Very generous on the meat. In Sydney, you typically get 50% rice/noodles 20% meat and 30% vege. In Kennys, its 30% rice 50% meat 20% vege. (I personally prefer more vege but my partner absolutely love itWe will be back :)

We went to this place for the good reviews but were a little disappointed with our overall order. We were told that the rice was boiled with added shredded coconut and it tasted bland and boiled and not at all like the tasty coconut rice we were all used to.The pad Thai tasted different in each dish and one tasted distinctly burned. The veggies in the curries tasted like they were cooked from frozen and the potato was dry and not at all appetizing.For the price, location and how dressed up the place is we all expected much higher quality and a little more effort on authentic flavour, taste and quality.

Formal setting doesnt suit, meals are a tad too pricey and took quite a while to reach our table. When it did finally arrive, it was just ok.Verdict: I wont eat here again (no hard feelings).

Dont plan on getting takeaway from here as if they are busy they will send you on your way.

Massive portions, pad thai tastes great. Recommended.

Very poor restaurant as no customer service. We went half an hour before closing time and manager come and let us know that kitchen is closed and when we ask that as per your website its another 30 mins left and we are looking for take away, she reply that prior bookings are essential.we were tourist and definitely cant recommened anyone to go there.

Ordered number 15. Peanut sauce with chicken as a takeaway, got it back to the room to eat and it was so disappointing, there was no flavour at all, lots of liquid but no peanut sauce the chicken and veggies where okay but spending $20 on a dish that has no taste and tastes nothing like what I ordered was very disappointing.

Tasty food, generous portions for a good price. Staff very friendly , great atmosphere. One of the best restaurants in Forster.
