Tourist destination featuring cascading waterfalls, pools & boating with vantage points & cafes.
Beautiful falls and relaxing. The falls are at the different levels where you can relax, take a bath and enjoy the refreshers from near by store. If you go to the top falls, they also provide clothes and enjoy the bath in falls. Must visit location In Mussoorie.
A magnificent falls that can be enjoyed even not trekking or ropeway riding. A few stairs above is highly scenic.
Wah great looking natural water falls. Kempty falls are many layers. The road divides it into upper and lower views. Ropeway view is also availableLower part is more beautiful. Many ponds are here. Bath point is also here. Booth sides of the way shoping points.Good and scenic view is great#kemptyfallsmussoorie
To reach Kempty falls, one needs to go down close to 300 stairs which starts from main road. The falls look huge and gives you chilling vibes. There are some areas where you can enjoy the falls without any risk, you can swim, click photos and maybe just sit and relax.
Great place to see the waterfall and do tracking. People stop at a certain point, go to a bit at high point for better pics, view and waterfall. Also, there is a track with amazing views.
To reach near fall, one has to use near about 150-200 stairs to go down, which can be easily done. Another option is ropeway, for which they charge Rs. 200.00. I would suggest to use stairs. Stairs are not that tiresome and can be covered by waiting at points. By side of stairs there are many shops, from where you can eat, drink or buy souvenirs. Before reaching water fall point, you will find many shops renting vests, shorts and locker to keep your clothes and belongings. Shop will charge Rs. 50.00 for clothes set and Rs. 50.00 for Locker. They also provide clothes changing cabin. One can easily take a bath in fresh and cold water and enjoy.
I have visited this place with family. It was nice weather. Parking was big problem & even costly in this place. But when you visit to see the waterfall. You will be more happy. View was awesome. You will have to purchase additional tickets for different activities. Like Jula, we took the ticket of Jula. They swing from top to last point and also back after purchase of return ticket. If you want to use stairs then that is also an option.Overall journey was very good. Nice place. Highly recommended.
This is really a very beautiful place to visit and even the journey is very beautiful but deadly too.I would suggest you too go with someone who is experienced in driving vehicle. There are deadly turns and when you look below you will find a very beautiful scenery of city. This is really one of the beautiful place in Dehradun and it attracts a lot of tourism.I went with my friends on scooty on Sunday and there was traffic a bit as we reached close to the place. The waterfall is very beautiful and the water is very cold as it rushes down the mountain.Nearby shops provide clothes, locker room, and a lot more facilities. So I would recommend you to visit the place.Overall a lovely experience ❤️💖
Its a beautiful and peaceful place. But You should drive more carefully. If you go there then never like to return back.
I visited this place in May this year.locals told me there that this is the peak season to visit here and so it was very crowded at that time. We lost 2 hours time to travel 9 km parking space was not available. But the cab which I booked there was very humble and he told us that there are two options available to go to fall. First is rope way and the other is from ground. We took ground and it was very much comfortable for me. Ticket is charged 100 rupees which includes various activities such as swimming boating and many more. Some stairs had to be taken to reach fall . But when you reach fall all your tiredness get disappeared. Very much cold water just seeking its way through mountains.just amazing and crowd makes it way more fun.
This waterfall has a separate fanbase and great vibes.Great for enjoyment with friends and family in the Mountains. The water is quite cold . Make sure to carry your clothes and undergarments if you plan to bathe in waterfall. There are two parts of Kempty falls, prefer going to the down one... Its better☺️Many options are there to get clothes/lockers on rent..and you have plenty of food stalls as well
Kempty Falls is one the most popular tourist attraction and picnic spot in Mussoorie. Surrounded by high mountain cliffs. The pond formed at the bottom of the falls makes an excellent spot for swimming and bathing.Offering a stunning view of water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. Quite famous among the tourists as a picnic spot, the perennial Kempty waterfall is crowded almost throughout the year.
Kempty Falls is one of the popular spots to visit in Mussoorie. It is located around 17 km from Picture Palace side of Mall Road. It becomes congested during holidays and weekends so recommend to visit it in the early morning. We went to the falls around 7AM and there were no crowd. The fall and the surrounding is very beautiful. Ropeway available from 10AM and the cost is ₹150 / person both way. But you can walk down towards the falls if you dont have any health issue.
For an experience of visiting a waterfall its a good option. Adventures pathway of 150 stairs to climb down 👇 before you reach the waterfall base. There is space for you to jump and get wet. There are many shops which rent out clothes for getting wet so if you are not carrying a change you can explore them too. They have adventure sports n boating too if you want.If you cant travel by stairs then there is a cable car available for you which takes you till the fall. There are many shops on the way to the fall. Enjoy shopping.
Gigantic Fall with somersault of the streams before hitting the bottom, Kempty Falls is the most popular and one of the oldest tourist spot near Mussoorie. Developed before more than 150 years ago by a British man, Kempty Falls is the most fascinating picnic spot or a perfect day out place nearby Mussoorie at a distance of 15 km.
If you are planning to go there for bath then carry water cover. The people there charge like 150 to 200 rs for such. Everything is costly and people are greedy there. The only good thing is there is a clothes store for bathing they charge 25/- for bathing.Do not buy anything from side shops. They charge a lot. As this is a tourist place they charge double.Food is okay in restaurants surrounded there you will find mostly Punjabi and Chinese.
Nice place to enjoy the waterfall. Try upper Kempty Fall and move up as much possible to get the best experience of the waterfall. Carry changing clothes as it makes sense to take a dip
Visits are completely free. Parking is required either just before or just after the bridge. There are stores where you can buy or rent swimwear so you can cool yourself in the waterfall. Its a good tourist destination all around.
The beauty of Waterfall will not let you go anywhere but remains always crowded. There are three falls ..besides you can enjoy self boating, swimming in pool, zip line adventure, marketing and rope way track
It was a great experience being there. Just single star less for making a falls into swimming pool. The feel of falls is no more. But still a great experience. Both - ropeway and on foot path is there. Swimming tubes are available for children and adult. Changing room(not a proper one but acceptableare available and also swimming costumes at a very minimal charge. Locker for keeping bags are also provided.Falls part is divided into two parts - deep and shallow. A beautiful scenic place for spending great time and having fun with friends and family.
Kempty falls very beautiful, but the shops and illegal buildings make it shattered. There were points with collection of water from fall like swimming pool. Would be lovely if rush is less. The main attractive place in Missouri is Kempty Falls. However very high rush and vehicle congestion for about 5km make it horrible.
It was not as great fall as it looks like in photograph. Small swimming pool was made to bath or enjoy for free of cost. Locker charges to be paid if you put your amenities into lockers for safe custody.
Good place but so much hassle no proper management for parking. Locals are taking more money for each things. Parking charges is more than enough.
We had a great time. बहुत मजा आया. It was quite crowded, but the time spent under the waterfall is truly priceless. My son spent over an hour in the water. The water is quite cold. There is a cable car that takes you down to the fall. Recommend those with knee problems to take the cable car. We walked down however the steps are quite steep. All facilities to change, lockers are available at a price. Good vegetarian food options are available.
What a beautiful water fall. I saw a waterfall for the first time in my life and it was so beautiful experience. The water was too cold to handle. I even went into the water and got shower under the water falling down. It was so beautiful. If you dont have extra pair of cloth thats fine you can rent it easily from the kempty falls location. There are many cloth vendors.
Amazing scenery, nice place to visit but a bit crowded . Do not forget to carry swim clothes to change over .There is also some adventure activity to try out.The walk to the cable pass cars is about ten mins passing through the shopsThe shops while going down to the cable car pretty reasonable with good collections for gifts and absolutely no bargain.
Pretty big waterfall and safe pond like structure created so on can play in water easily. Swimming costumes flip flops tubes are available on rent and changing rooms are also there. Walk till fall is reasonable but 20-40 stairs are there from gondola point till fall and small eateries
Kempty fall is awesome place to chill out. Also market is also good here. You can find a lot of wood art here. Most awesome thing was the beauty of mountain range during the journey towards kempty fall....you are gonna love it.
A beautiful natural waterfall completely destroyed by people. If youre going here in the peak time, youll be seeing masses of people and not the place itself. Couldnt even go near the water because of people stacking it up like crazy, which has ultimately made the water really dirty. The bridge, which was apparently made to click pictures, didnt have space to even stand properly. Also, for people who cant walk much, please keep in mind even with the ropeway youll have to climb a lot of stairs once you get down.Probably the worst place to visit in all of Mussoorie.Horrible.
What else is there left about waterfalls? Spend an amazing time here with a bunch of waterfalls, in total of combination of seven waterfalls. You have to hike a little bit on top for more amazing views and waterfalls. The best place ever to enjoy with your friends and family.Would not suggest to bring young kids as this is waterfall is one mountains. A reminder, dont forget to bring your trash with yourself, please be gentle with nature.
place is nice but so so crowded that it spoils all the fun. not worth it u less aiming for a tick mark against visited places. the top part in the other side of the road is probably better and cleaner slightly less crowded
The waterfall flows under a bridge. Its absolutely free to visit. You need to park you car slightly before or after the bridge. You can take the stairs and go to higher levels of the waterfall. There are shops where you can change and rent swimming trunks to take a dip in the waterfall. One such shop is absolutely free. There are also a few local food shops as well. Overall its a good tourist attraction. What a beautiful water fall. I saw a waterfall for the first time in my life and it was so beautiful. The water was too cold to handle. Beautiful falls. But was very crowded even if it was a Tuesday that we visited. Lots of shops on both sides of the pedestrian path down from the road. Ropeway can be taken from a little down until the falls and back, costs Rs 150 per person. Changing rooms and clothes can be rented near the falls at the end of the pedestrian path, if you want to get into the water.
There was an awesome experience there. So cold ❄️ water seems like milk is falling from fall through mountains. If you are in mussoorie dont miss out it.Approx 18 to 20 km from Mall road.Use two wheelers in weekends to save time because from traffic.Enjoy ☺️😊😊⛲
One of the most seeing place in Mussoorie. Very crowded with tourists. Beautiful landscapes and waterfall. You can also enjoy cable car ride to reach there but I preferred to walk down. One can also enjoy some adventure sports there. For shopping people one can buy some beautiful wooden handicrafts souvenir. Love this place.

Kempty Falls is a popular attraction in Mussoorie, which is seldom visited by families as a refreshing picnic spot. This is a commercialized waterfall, with its base similar to a pool surrounded by locker rooms and shops.Even if you reached the place without a plan to take a dip, rented clothes are available if you wish to get in the water. After parking your vehicles on the top, there is a good climb down to reach the waterfall, with shops on either side. If you prefer to avoid the descent and the climb after, there is also an option for a cable car to reach the base and then back to the top. It is charged at ₹150 per head for a roundtrip (April 2022).A good place for some time with friends and family.
I had the luck of experiencing the Kempty Falls starting from the place where the stream starts to make the small falls and pools, and reaching the main tourist location of its largest falls. The shops by locals for tea and food items, and facilities for enjoying in the pools like rubber tubes and clothes, are spread all over the course. The road to Yamunotri lies in between, from where the small way down to the main tourist location starts, with all kinds of shops on its both sides. There is a two-way ropeway also in-between to cut short some distance of the walk. Its really an enjoyable experience.

I made a 3 star rating for this famous tourist attraction of Mussorie, because it is a very overhyped place. This place is 30 min away from Mussorie Mall Road. The main attraction point is the waterfall, which is not a very high one. You have to reach a point, from there you have walk till the waterfall for merely 10 minutes. There is a market on the way towards the waterfall. There are good winter wear and some small food stalls.
In the Nature’s Lap! Mesmerising & Peaceful place to enjoy the beauty of nature. A good spot to spend quality time with family or your loved ones. You can enjoy the bath in the falls and ample food options. They have also started the ropeway to falls which charge 150₹ per person. Walkway is also well maintained..
A natural scenic waterfall which attracts the tourists. The name of Kempty Falls is taken from the terms "camp and tea" implying the elaborate tea parties that were once organized here in evenings eventually leading to a localized name Kempty. It was developed as a picnic destination by John Mekinan owing to its captivating surroundings and scenic beauty. Offering a stunning view of water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. Quite famous among the tourists as a picnic spot, the perennial Kempty waterfall is crowded almost throughout the year.
Must place to visit. Had an amazing time there with family. The falls are extremely beautiful, water is clean and chilled. Swim costumes and changing rooms are available nearby, you can also take your costumes if you want. Amazing environment, beautiful nature.
Good time to visit in summer . Winter its cold and Raining in Jan. Shops are reasonable here. Kempty falls you can go down from the road for a better view. Also you can walk upstream. There is samll boating, Water ball and swimming place down the kempty fall . Not that great but okeish. 18 km from mussourie on the way to kedarkantha. There are some games like gun shots, archery, ball throwing etc as well in small shops on the way.
It was drizzling when we went... Place is mesmerizing! Kids really enjoyed not so harsh flow of water. Walk over bridge is under construction. Rope car ride is short but kids had fun. Nice place to visit.
It was nice... Not at much of height or girth of water but its beautiful to visit... They also had these shops with pahadi costumes u can wear and click photographs...
Good place. Though crowded but can be enjoyed while walking on the trails with Maggi, shopping and games on the way. Also can take ropeway. But walking is fun.. thanks
From all road you can take a jeep which will charge your Rs 100 to go to kempty fall which is down hill from Mussoorie. The jeep drops you on the main road from where you have to climb down the hill to reach the fall. All along the way there are lots of shop offering food, clothes, souvenirs, toys , jewelry and what not. There are many photographers too if you want to get clicked in the traditional clothes. In the winter the water is too cold but you can still bathe under the falls, there are plenty of changing rooms and shops that rent you swimsuit, tubes and everything. There is a ropeway too which can take you down but it was closed when i visited . There is also a swimming pool nearby which was also closed. Small zipline is also there if you are interested in doing
Awesome place for summer, water is neat and clean because its origin is not so far, paid parking is available, heavy food is rare, normally fast food is available there. Market is also amazing
One of the beautiful falls in India. You can go by step or by rope car. You can swim and enjoy it near the fall. There was some bridge construction going on once that is completed it will be awesome. The best place, nice ambience. 😍
