This expansive park features ball fields & tennis courts, plus trails & picnic areas.
One of my new favorite parks. Love it!
My favorite park to come with anyone! So big and beautiful. Lovely and relaxing views. Lots of shade and long paths. <3
A beautiful park turned n2 a homeless dog park. How can someone dump their precious babys off an alone . I gave her water an let her sit n Tha cool air 4 a fewSomeone please help these dogs that dont have a voice
Largely open park, it was just too hot to really enjoy
Great Park. A lot of potential. Nice amenities.
Awesome place for a bike ride.
All the playing fields are miserably kept up. Do not recommend going here to play on soccer/football fields.
If you want a quite peaceful time, this is a good pick. If you are looking for a crowded park, socialization, or a place for kids to play with other kids, this may not be the best candidate.
Great park for hicking and play area for the kids
Great area to walk by the water. Great trails for walking/ bicycling. Huge park
I do not recommend this park. Full of shady people. My car was broken into and my girlfriends bag was stolen.
Wonderful place to walk/jog. So much trash though, so sad for the wildlife
Is a nice place for walking or running or just relaxing or just hanging out with the family
Its taken.They wont let you walk in peace.They consider.You make them feel bad.Like they aint much.People go missing.That man.Who worked.At 2302 tidwell.In 2019.Got drunk.So he wouldntBe incarcerated.Went.Looking for a victim.The girl who likes him.sent him.Put ideas in his head.He had intensions.Of beating on a girl.And breaking her joints.And depriveing her.And throwing her.In the water.Its not safe.They attack.They fight.They send creatures.They appear.They abuse.The sensories.
Couldnt find my way around the park no clearly marked paths. Only found the entrance off of Aldine Westfield. And it was just a parking lot for the ballpark. I am going to go back today and see if I can find my ws6y to the walking paths to the ponds.
Very beautiful park with great scenery. Downside is there is a lot of weirdos that tend to hide in the woods that masterbate to women/kids passing by. Please be cautious coming to this park and never come alone. Hide all personal belongings/dont have anything important in your car because they break into cars consistently (especially early mornings).
If you love nature, this is the perfect park. You can walk and run and enjoy nature at the same time. Loved the walk and the playground!! You wont be disappointed. 🙂
I love taking lunch here. Also, if you come at the right time you can walk the submersible bridges while still under water. Just wear your rain boots and mind the fish.
This park has so much potential, but every time I take my son here, theres trash all over the place. I also didnt feel very safe the last couple of times we went. We started to take a walk on the trail, but quickly turned around when I got an eerie feeling that someone was hiding in the woods and getting ready to jump out and get us lbvs..
I love to bike here. Just wish there were more places in Houston to actually use my bike safety, but unfortunately most of Houston isnt built like that. Otherwise Id come here more often (I know that isnt the parks fault obviously). Thats the only reason I dont come here more. Its such a gorgeous place.
My puppy loved it !Very friendly space.
I like walking here on weekends, clean and green, lake is the best part.Quite place too, encourages you to have a session of meditation here, dont forget to bring your yoga mat with you :D
The park has a long trail with a bridge that goes over the bayou and to a pond. Its a very nice park love taking the family. Also has a tennis court, small playground area for kids.
If this park was cleaner, 5 stars. But theres quite a bit of trash. And I saw a hobo dog with mange....if it was cleaner I would give 5 stars(Update********)I changed rating to 4 stars because the next morning I went, it was much cleaner. A lot of trash was picked up(not all). Also I went to the trail part and it was very very nice.... if the park is clean for a few weeks in a row Ill change to 5 stars
Love this park. Dont get stuck at night in the back like I did there are alligators in the lake for sure and wild hogs. Luckily I got out safely its a long walk back to the front where parking is so when sun starts to leave you should leave too.
Great early morning/sunrise walk. Best are its Trees on both sides along the trails and the pond. One thing to note if your first visit, retrace back along the same trail you walked through to return back to where you started. Bcoz each path/trail leads to a park exit. Most trails/paths are not in loop, if you are walking to explore like me.
Such a great park, Ive been coming here for years, great place to spend time with family.Playground, Baseball field , soccer field, football field, also bridge, lake in the middle and areas to sit.Just a reminder dont leave valuables in your vehicle!
So took my sister for a walk...and as we were coming back she saw a man hiding out inside the woods just standing there facing the trail. Lol other than that we enjoyed the views and fresh air unfortunately inside the woods besides the man there is collected trash wrappers and bottles and what not😂😂 but that man concerned us we were ready to make a run for it 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃💨💨 this happened during the day around 2 pm
It is a very good park for bike riding! We enjoy the views as we go, however it really needs to improve waste management, there is trash all over the park and there are no enough trash cans along the trails.
Came here because it seemed like a nice park with a lake. I dont know if its natural or unkempt but there was lots of retained water everywhere. Glad the trail is paved and dry so we could walk; it was a little like walking through swamp though (because of retained water along side). It took about 1.5 miles to get to the lake which didnt look that great. Also, I wish there were regular restroom instead of porta potties.
Huge awesome park with paved trails, tennis court, playground for kids! Lots and lots of parking! Beware of the mosquitos they will not hesitate to bite you all over! :0 porta potties were clean as well =]
Very nice, scenic park. Got a great run in!
Lots of potential, but unfortunately is absolutely covered in trash and overrun with people on 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. A glimpse of our collective future perhaps. Yall seen mad max? Wont be back. Too depressing.
This is a beautiful spot with paved walking and running trails and two lake areas and a few bayou areas as well as a playground, tennis court and soccer field near the parking lot. There are also some porta potties there. Unfortunately there has been an increase in ATV use along the outer unpaved trails of the park and they leave big ruts along the ground that pool up with water and it gets muddier when it rains. They’re not allowed but people show up with them anyway. The noise from the ATVs also disturbs the quiet of the park. If you go during the week earlier in the day you won’t be likely to run into them though.
Great park for running, jogging or walking! Note: there are lots of trees and woods along the trail before you get to the beauty of the lake that the trail goes around! I would recommend going with a partner or family member, not alone! I always see people fishing at the lake. There is also a great area for the kids to play and a baseball field and tennis courts!
Large city park with walking paths through forest area and all along and around the lake. Most are paved with excellent wheelchair mobility and access. Plenty of picnic tables and play area at entry to park. Thru the woods, to the lake, it is quiet and pushed m perfect for quiet lounging or bird watching. Sadly, someone has driven an ATV next to some of the paths making large ruts.
Quite place filled with greenery in the heart of Houston city. Visit with family, enjoy the amazing nature
Recommend this place to bring family, walking, and just enjoy the beauty of nature especially now that all the colors are changing in the trees!
I grew up going to this park way before it had the lake & the new playground. Every now & then, someone dies or gets murdered here but dont worry- its only usually gang members or drug dealers so they dont just target innocent bystanders. I love the park. Its great for photoshoots & has a wonderful trail & lake to enjoy.
Great place for a long walk around the large ponds
Beautiful park ! It has a nice walking path.
Had our family reunion here, the kids had a great time and the shelter pavilion was the perfect size for our group.
Peaceful trails, paved and unpaved! Multiple bodies of water with beautiful treeline surrounding them. Vast valleys of serene tranquility. No hydration stations so bring plenty of water especially in the summer. While hiking this park I came across a herd of wild goats, this was on an unpaved path. Very neat discovery. There is a creek as well that may be good for fishing. There was a playground area for kids near the parking area as well. Highly recommend for some simple natural decompressing time.
Nice park! Utterly friendly vibe! Seems safe! Utterly populated. Small amount of litter. There is a solid path. Will come again. Dog friendly. Most on leash. However, portable restrooms only. 🙃
As of 2019 it is being destroyed by ATVs. Cant walk the trails anymore, cant even walk on the sidewalk due to all the mud.
Great park with cool trails, playground for kids, football field, tennis court and more...
Great place but my gps did not take me to the main entrance. It took me to a weird closed entrance. It seems like gps does not know the main entrance. But once I found it, the park was great. Its huge! Beware of snakes because I saw one out there. They also have a nice tennis court and great pathways to walk throughout
Nice park to walk my kids love to coming here and walk all the way around to the little lakes and back play at the play area, eat and back to play is a big park.....
I only went once to see family and the place was gorgeous I couldnt get over how nice it looked with all the trees around and all I saw was the view from the parking lot. Over all I really liked it (even tho I didnt get to see all of this place it looked like it was a really nice place to Zen out or meditate
Very nice walking, running, jogging park. Really clean. Large trail to explore big soccer field. Nice play ground. Even has a lake.
