Must go and try the “kawen” buns. Freshly baked buns slathered with butter and kaya paired together with runny yolks tasted heavenly yummy 😍. The simplicity of this quaint coffee shop adds nostalgic vibes on us.
Great tasting coffee famous amongst the locals, easy to get parking at the front of the restaurant.

Love this place...never change since I was young.
The bun is the highlight must try with red bean or groundnut filling. Add on with cold butter and kaya is the best. Others bread is good too. Recommended place for afternoon tea.
The bun is something special. Choice of peanuts, tausa or kelapa. Then kahwin with kaya and butter. The Maggi is ok but not excellent
The place has been around for 50years (from what I’m toldand has a following of ppl coming in for the familiar taste and ambience, its a coffee shop (classicwith a bakery, at least thats what ppl are here for, tried the roti khawin, roti pangang(toasted), tart and cheese cake, each of them were delicious. The cheese cake is fluffy, roti khawin cones with butter + normal beans /redbeans had a rich flavour, the toast was hot and crispy with the melted butter mixed with kaya 🤤 the tart was thick and flavourful, and the coffee just washes it all down, i regret not having secondsWould come again
Very good
A friend of mine went there to try it herself•I have been told it was more than 50years of business & it full with elderly people (means it has its own taste & quality)•I like their buns flavour. Kaya mixed with peanut or peanut mixed with butter or all & when u consume it fresh hot hot, oh my!! Suitable for tea 🍵 time or coffee ☕️ time break•❣️❣️

This place is affectionately called the "snake nest". Youll see lots of people during working time come in for a breather. Local Chinese calls it snake king time. The bread and buns are made fresh. Nothing like a dollop of cold butter on a warm bun.
