Cozy space offering hot & cold mezes for vegetarians & carnivores, plus a Middle Eastern brunch.
Delicious food, great value. Good for groups or a date. Easy to share plates. (Better to share so you can taste more dishes 😉)Service was good too.
Since long time I havent been to such nice Lebanese restaurant that has both authentic food and aesthetics.
Amazing, flavorful food. Every bite has purpose at this place. Kind staff even when it’s full! And that’s it’s full because the vibes are so cozy and warm, the food is delicious and the staff is kind. I’ve been coming for a decade, but it still feels like day one 🤍
Very cute and cozy place, the food is amazing with a lovely touch. I highly recommend 😊
Veeeery tasty and good! Everything we had was so tasty! I appreciate the service also, the resto was packed but they managed it amazingly. A place to visit for sure!
The food was great and prices reasonable, but I have to take off major points for service. We went on a Friday night at 7:15pm for my friends birthday. We ordered a bunch of dishes and one round of cocktails. Around 9pm we wanted to order another round of drinks, but were told by our waitress that the drinks would take 5 to 10 mins and she seemed to be put off by us ordering, but we said no problem. 10 mins later she comes and says maybe we dont want the drinks because our table is reserved for someone else at 930 (would have been nice to tell us at the beginning). So we said fine, no drinks, just the bill which takes another 15 mins to bring. We finally pay our bill and leave around 945 and guess what? There was no one waiting for our table. It was just a weird experience and we would have stayed and continued ordering and spending money, but guess they didnt want it. Because of that whole experience I dont think I would go back or if I did, I would clearly ask how long we have the table for when reserving.
Honestly such a great find. We turned up without a reservation on an extremely busy Friday night, and the restaurant accommodated us.The service was excellent all evening, and the food was delicious.Great spot for a group dinner or an intimate meal; the atmosphere is very cozy.Highly recommend 👍
Delicious middle eastern food with reasonable prices. The atmosphere with quite loud but it didnt bother me, as that was what i would expect from a middle eastern restaurant ! Definitely recommend.
This restaurant was recommended to me by local Lebanese people that I met while exploring the city! Food was extremely delicious and the staff were very friendly. I recommend trying as many of the appetizers as you can!
I don’t think anything could have been better. The food was amazing and the service was incredible. We had the fattet mawza, the dajaj, the hummus and the raqeqet. The mawza literally melts in your mouth, highly recommend. The waiters were super attentive without being overwhelming. The prices are also very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
This is our first time in Canada and we were lucky to find such a nice place. Food looks great and taste great. Staff are beyond friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes Mediterranean food.
Visited Montreal and needed a fun casual place, with appropriate cuisine for sharing with a large group. Read about KazaMaza, had been to Beirut just pre pandemic, rolled the dice. Glad we did. Exceptional food, arguably the best Tabule anywhere, all fresh and perfectly spiced. Ambience, busy, which made it appropriate and fun for all. Authentic in everyday. (Not a negative comment, but the pre-wrapped pita? Never encountered that before, but they were still good!). Cheers.
Our second experience at KazaMaza in a group of 7. Great food, very nice ambiance (a bit noisybut I love the quality of the food. Good price. Highly recommend. Reserve in advance
Exquisite food at reasonable prices. Make sure you reserve a table, as we had trouble walking in, even on a Wednesday. My only criticism would be that I wished the flat bread given with the meal would be warmed up or changed. As it was, it was stale. Otherwise, an excellent experience.
Superb food! Absolutely impressed with the lamb. Will definitely come back when visiting Montreal. The service was also wonderful! :)
Wow! This was delicious and well-priced authentic Lebanese food. Make sure to reserve in advance because they are always full. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!
Ok Food, but terrible overall experience. We had slow and rude service, after waiting an hour to get main course, I had to flag someone down to get a drink, and then finally eat.Waiter would not give me an itemized receipt, which also seemed odd.Upon paying. I decided to leave only a 10% tip. Waiter stopped me and had the gall to tell me 15% was minimum. I explained TIP is "To Insure Promptness" which did not happen, and left NEVER TO RETURN.
The food was very delicious, waiters were very polite. Portions were reasonable and just enough to fulfill your appetite. I definitely recommend this restaurant for get together with friends and family. Prices were reasonable as well. Absolutely love it and definitely will come over again. The only thing to consider is that the washrooms are in the basement and there are some kind of steep stairs just in case if you want to come with grand- parents, otherwise I really enjoyed our evening.
Loved our experience at Kaza Maza and will go back. Group of 5. Food is great, good service although we had to chase the server for the 2nd bottle of wine, but was nicely served by manager. A bit noisy but overall worth ! Highly Recommended
Visiting and didn’t have reservations and they accommodated us, we were very lucky the table was available until 9 but will make reservations next time for sure. The food was fantastic, traditional Lebanese cuisine, we got the labne, babaghanuj which has this smokey taste like back home, kafta which blew me away because it’s a first to have walnuts and hazelnuts inside, fatoush which was fresh and the sauce and added pomegranate was excellent, the deep fried cheese was so tasty. Everything was just perfect, the kids really enjoyed it and so did we. A must try if you’re in Montreal.
Food & prices were excellent. Ambiance was quite good as well. The service was good as well but we ask to sit on terasse (without knowing that there is a 2hr limitso we kind of felt that we were a bit "on the clock". I would go back but no "terasse" this time around
Fantastic ambience, service, apps and entrees. Definitely ask them to really heat up the pitah- unfortunately it is not fresh and comes out cold... Without this detail the meal would have been really excellent.Dessert is good but not amazing.
Genuine home-cooked tasting Lebanese food. Highly highly recommend. Be sure to get the full suite of meza to start, the lamb as a main and to end of with the cheese dessert and a Turkish coffee!
I love the food it is amaziiiiiiing! It is a must visit !
Our group of four didnt make it past the appetizers - we doubled down on them because they were absolutely delicious! Looking forward to my next visit, to explore more of the menu!Great wines, too, and knowledgeable & friendly staff. Highly recommended!
that was the first time that I tasted the middle East foods, the plats are nice, but it really took long time for waiting all the plats, finally we had to cancel one.
This is a true Gem in Montreal, I lived in the area back in the 90s. I traveled from Florida for a quick visit to see my 2 daughters, a d they picked this place..Food was excellent not to mention the service, was attentive and spot on. It was a dinner to remember, Michelin should visit this place for it deserves some recognition. We will be for sure back.food price is good, we over ordered and drank great wine tooBy the way we loved the Arak as well.Blessings..Xoxo
Very professional service 👌🏻. Excellent menu with wide variety of options . Food always served hot. Tasty and never greasy. Reasonably priced menu surely worthy of price . One issue , we eat in the evening and light is too dimmed we couldn’t see what we are eating 😄so maybe at least more light at tables . We go back over and over and we recommend to all our friends
Good vibesMy first rack 😃😋A trip from Quebec city for libanon food and beverage 🍷Taste
Go go GO to Kaza Maza.If you’re looking for a buzzy place with great food, you found it. Super fun atmosphere with affordable share plates. The service was a bit slow, but I can understand given the place was PACKED, with tables turning in minutes. It’s pretty understated, so maybe not the spot if you’re looking to wow a first date or charm a client- unless they’re foodies. The vibe leaves were a perfect started- dense and acidic, going nicely with a light, crisp fattoush. I loved the mousaqa’a, so bright, cool, and savoury. The lamb chops were killer in terms of taste, but a little fatty. But also I’d order them again, so…Best bite goes to the garlic shrimp. Perfectly cooked, with a charred balance of bitter, sweet, and spicy. Maybe on the over-priced side, but the rest was so affordable I can get over it.I’d recommend this place for couples, small groups or double dates, and foodies looking for a sure thing. If you liked this, please follow my NEW TikTok review page- @nickeatseverything
Great food. Service was attentive. It was my first time there. The waiter patiently explained clearly and in details how the menu functioned. The 2 import beers were nice to the palette.Average approximately$20 per person apart from drinks and you have a great meal. Make it $25 per person and youll be fully satisfied.A little more attention could be given to cleaning the "sticky" table tops. I asked and they immediately passed a rag but still sticky..
10/10 experienceWe had the opportunity to try many dishesThe hummus is to die forThe garlic sauce is unrealWe really enjoyed both the chicken and the lamb dishes. Both had really tasty sauces and super tender and tasty meat. There are vegetarian options as well and all of them are delicious.Great tasting food and the prices are budget friendly as well! This is a gem. If you are in the area stop by and enjoy definitely a must stop spot.
This is a great resto. The service is efficientbut the food is spectacular with a vast array of spices and nuts and oils. We tried about a third of the menu, the standouts were the beef tartar, the babba ghannoush, and the lamb shank. The wine list and beers are nice. Decor is home feeling and trendy. A must try.
There is something about eating on a terrasse that definitely makes the experience more enjoyable. However, we believe it would have been excellent either way. Juicy, tender, well-cooked, melt-in-your-mouth meat, flavourful spices, great sauce all served in a tagine for an aesthetic accent on a lovely meal.
The food and service is just so amazing here. You guys have cracked the hospitality but so please dont ever change. The kefta and lamb shank is truly mouth watering. We will definitely be back!!
Well decorated restaurant with a small terrace and a homey vibe. They have a very flavourful twist on lebanese classics. The babaghanoush was finger licking good (the grenadine seeds gives it an Armenian twistand easy to taste with the generous portion of pita bread, and the fattouche salad was well seasoned and refreshing. We also tried the salmon, which was cooked to perfection with a thin layer of fenugreek? on top for added flavour. The kefta with cherry sauce was also a must. The staff was very friendly. The Chateau Ksara white wine paired well with our choices, and the variety of dishes and flavors helped emphasize the richness and complexity of this beautiful wine. Id go back again...
Super tasty food ! Vege friendly menu.Slow service for getting started but it picks up.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant! The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience and OMG, the food is absolutely amazing! Everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while! Highly recommend!
Better book before you go. Lamb shank was really good. Grilled chicken was just ok. Humous, Muhamara and Baba Ganouj were all good.Nice friendly service, good ambience and friendly , helpful staff.I only eat halal and they could cater for that. So overall came out happy!
The food was delicious. A must try in Montréal. The mezze and lamb shank were to die for. The Lebanese wine selections were also very good.
Really liked all the dishes we got! So so tasty! Very well seasoned and flavourful. Staff was friendly. Took a little bit of time to get first course but when we did, everything else came back to back which was great because we were hungry!! Are inside but the front patio looked very cute!
The food I have tried was amazing. We have ordered Makanek beef sausages, Batata potatoes and Samke Harrar white fish. My kid loved the sausages, they were very well marinated, fish was very good with all the toppings and nuts. I would definitely recommend this place. Very cute inside and has a small patio outside.
I went with a group so I was lucky to try quite a number of apps and entrees. The dishes were attacked rather swiftly so I was able to take just a few photos. The raqaqat was very addicting. The highlights for me were the Kefta Karaz and the classic Mawzat. Both are lamb dishes. If your taste buds are particularly sensitive to lamb, I’m not sure any lamb dish can win you over. However, do give this a try if you can. I didn’t detect any lamb aftertaste. And that Mawzat was insanely tender it was falling off the bone.Service was quick and on point. Interiors were cozy and stylish. I would definitely return.
Only If I could put more than 5 stars... The food is authentically creative and super delicious. The service is excellent and on point. You can taste the love as well as the high quality of their ingredients .. try everything on the menu coz every single dish has its own superb flavours. The kafta karaz, the Baba ghanouj, the kebbeh nayye hindbeh...yum. Ask for their Arak or their selection of wine. Taste the real authentic olive oil on the top of their food. This is a gem by all means. This is where we go for the joy of the experience.
I was hesitant to visit this restaurant. I assumed they only serve Mazzas (salads and appetizers). But recently I followed their instagram account and their presentation is very good.I finally decided to visit it. The atmosphere was good. The waiter was friendly and the food did not take a long time to be served. But I have been eating Lebanese food almost 3 decades, and I can say this is one of the most overpriced Middle Eastern restaurants I have ever tried considering the portion and the taste/quality of the food. Even in Montreal there are many restaurants with more affordable prices and better quality. I had two pieces of labs chops, hummus, and Arayes. The lamb chops were very tiny (one biteand each costs $5!!! Hummus was standard. I would even give it one star out of five. Arayes saved the meal. It was not very good but I liked it.Then, after I paid the bill and left a 10% tip, the waiter asked me are you from the area? I said yes. He then told me tipping is often customary 15%. WHAT? With there overpriced food there is no way I am going to leave 15% tip. And I was never told by any restaurant to tip a specific amount. I always tip between 10-15%. I even visited the Ethipean restaurant next building when I was unemployed last year and left 10%. The manager did not say anything even though the food was so delisious and the service was very good. This is a one time first and last visit to KazaMaza. I wish them all the best but they have a lot to be done and improved.
KazaMaza sounds like excellence. It’s a fantastic cosy spot to enjoy fine Syrian and Lebanese meals. It’s hard to recommend something since everything is extremely tasty! The service and the team are very cool and professional, I highly recommend this downtown spot!
Love the food. I went with my roommates and we got 3 entries to share and one main dish each. We end up completely full but happy with the amazing flavors from the place. We ate at the terrace where we found antibacterial gel on each table which is a nice detail from the restaurant. Everything was clean and the waiter was very attentive. I would love to go back!
Surprisingly delicious & good food quality. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients.I found the Akawi cheese & fatet lahm a bit salty. The chicken is very clean + garlic sauce is amazing.
Cool place and a good, extensive menu. The service was also very good and the house white wine is good price quality wise. The cold mezzes (picturedare probably the best part we tasted.
For a first time visitor to this place I was very disappointed with the service. We arrived at 5pm when the place was not busy. Two of the menu items we ordered did not arrive, we had to ask for the pita bread, I had to take the birthday cake out of the box while for another group, the cake was served on a platter. To make things worse, the waiter clipped my sweater pulling a thread from it with an object in his back pocket since the tables and chairs at close quarters. Did not get an apology. Other than that, the food was great.
