Kawloon Restaurant in Mandurah

As I had just brought my wife home from hospital, I thought it would be nice to get take away Chinese for dinner and checked the web and decided on the Kowloon Restaurant, rang and ordered off their website with the total being $58 for the order. Imagine the shock of instead of the price being $58, it was $74 and when I asked the bloke behind the desk why, he just said, ‘it’s a price rise’ and when I told him they had better change their website prices, he didn’t seem to be concerned but, as I had to drive 30k there and 30k back home, it has ensured I won’t be back. However, even worse was the food, which was handed to me in a Woolworths type brown paper bag, which was fine except that when I got home and took the bag into the kitchen, the bottom of the bag had leaked a huge amount of oil from the meals and soaked into the seat cover and then into the leather seat underneath which has made me pretty bloody angry. I would give the food a mark of 5 out of 10 with the reasons being the amount of oil that leaked onto my car seat plus the fact that the meal Itself, Szechuan BBQ Pork was absolutely dripping with oil and really hopeless, full of onion and fillers with the Pork being unlike any pork I have tasted, my wife’s dish, Garlic BBQ Pork, while it was not oily, it was without much, if any, garlic and the meat, if it was pork, was as tough as old boots. The combination fried rice, fair, and the entree, San Choy Bow, was very strange and was simply some mixture with some lettuce leaves in a plastic bag? So, with the travel distance, the problem of how I am going to remove the oil from my vehicle ‘s leather front seat and the, in my opinion, substandard food on top of the massively more expensive price than what is on their website, which I have taken a screen shot of, my experience ensures we never go anywhere near that place again and we will also advise others that there are many other places that are better and don’t run themselves like I saw and experienced last night, 18/10/22.

Seuchuan beef, chicken chop suey and chefs special fried duck with plum sauce. Wowww, absolutely delicious.Friendly, fast and top quality in very serene atmosphere.Ive had takeaway from here previously but the sit in option has been fabulous.

Good ambience but the food was not at all authentic, no flavours, and the soup tasted like dish washing liquid, no customer service skills.

Food was awesome! Presentation and staff were brilliant. Food was extremely fresh and was prepared really fast.

Been a while since we dined here has changed a lot went for dinner with my husband and we were served by a robot?? Menulog drivers coming in and out the whole time collecting take away orders and there were two elderly people in the corner of the restaurant making spring rolls?? Food wasn’t nice dried up fried rice and inedible sweet and sour we had to send back . Was looking forward to a nice dining experience with my husband but unfortunately felt like we were sat in a cafe really think you should focus on your restaurant guests or do away with the restaurant and just do take away 😩

Authentic Chinese food that I haven’t been able to enjoyed in a long time & quick food service, this place did not disappoint! First time here but I’ll definitely be back for more.

Over priced and over rated. How do you make wanton with no flavour? Why are squid fritters just deep fried squid? No second chances for this rubbish. Still no decent Chinese eats in Mandurah.

We had kawloon for lunch on Thursday, my wife and myself ended up in bed for 3 days with food poisoning. Really disappointing!

Their combination chowmein and claypot were fine but the chilli vegetables was disappointing. The most disappointing was the man at the reception. He was inhospitable. It was odd because I read some good reviews to this restaurant. Unfortunately my husband and I does NOT feel like coming back to this restaurant anytime soon nor recommend Kawloon restaurant.

We ordered honey chicken, sweet n sour pork and combination fried rice through uber eats.Was quick and hot.Pork was juicy and delicious👍Honey chicken was really good and tastes like it was made with real honey 👌Fried rice was good but smelt a little burntWould definitely order again.

Remarkably consistent restaurant. We have been eating here for years and each and every time they just get it right. Beautiful food, generous servings and good service. Never had a bad meal here regardless of how busy they are. Many other restaurants in the area could learn a thing or two about service and quality from Kawloon.

Been here 3 times now. Food is amazing. Kawloon is always busy, good service and ambience - you can eat indoors or outdoor.Recently disappointed that they were closed due to Covid restrictions but the takeaway was worth the 20-30 minute 2 way drive.

First time a few years ago I though Mmm, was ok. Came here two weeks ago and it was amazingly good. Could have been a little sharper on the sweet n sour pork as I like it.I come from Safety bay and I can tell you, other than Exclusive Chinese in Rockingham, this is great food! Clean and tasty.

I have used this restaurant many times, and never had an issue. Tonight I ordered as usual, through menulog as this is the only way this restaurant will deliver, however it never shows up, I call the restaurant and they tell me the driver only just left even though the app says its been delivered....15 minutes later, I call again and they tell me not their problem, they have their money call someone elseWill never use them again if this is the customer service delivered to loyal customers

Great service but even better food. So quick and fresh. Been a few times now and can’t fault it.

As soon as we were greeted atthe door and shown our table service was outstanding. The food was yummy and hot , very busy had to wait a little while for someone to take our order but overall worth the wait. We loved our little chocolate bear to with our dessert such a nice touch.

I have been driving past this restaurant for a long time and finally decided to stop by and give it a go. I chose Cashew Chicken and must say I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was well laid out, clean, the flavors of the food were fantastic and serving size was generous. It did seem a little overpriced and I would have liked to see a take away menu with combinations but overall I was happy. Will definitely stop by again.

My family, friends & I really enjoy Kawloon restaurant and have been dining here on multiple occasions.Birthday celebrations, anniversaries and even just catching up with friends- Kawloon is really a place to consider for a good Chinese meal.The atmosphere is inviting and staffs (the owners includedare hard-working and sp very nice.Meals are very affordable and portions are generous.

Ordered pick up and went half hour later as instructed and they said i hadnt ordered. After showing that Id called they then took another15 minutes. Worth the wait if food was good, but worst chinese ever! Didnt get what i ordered and very poor customer service by man answering the phone. Wont be going bacj!

Hadn’t been to Kawloon for quite a while so was really looking forward to it as it had always been so good. I ordered 4 dishes on Tuesday night and had a guest from Bunbury and saying how good it is. What a disappointment, Combo Fried Rice was like glug and lacked flavour (actually most went in the bin), had a king prawn omelette, couldn’t taste the prawns and lacked flavour, vegetable chow mein had just a couple of veggies and rated about 4 out of 10. Garlic Beef not bad but nothing to make you want to order it again. Not a good experience.

Was my last night visiting my family from QLD.. wanted desperately to go back with the amazing food I ate while I was here!!Unfortunately the restaurant got our orders mixed up.. and after twice plus the time we were allocated..We were told pay for the meals or go without?? Totally devastated 😮with their responce.

The food was absolutely delicious and it was just enough that you did not want any more but did not over eat. From the moment you ordered to it being placed in on the table was only minutes. The restaurant its self looked nice and clean

This place was fantastic and professional. We went out for my dad bithday Omg thay did it spot on I would recommend to anyone looking for the best restaurant the food was amazing and the team was great and fun we had the best night . I will be coming back as I was a new customers. I am going to bring my friends to this place. So guys if need to get a bithday day out to a restaurant this is the place to be at.i would 100% recommend to anyone . I was so happy how everything works went well. All on time food was great. The service was awesome.

As a family we attend this restaurant on a fortnightly basis. We really enjoy the delightful Menu, and look forward to our nights there. The Menu is extensive, and they also cater for children. Service is excellent. Bookings we find are essential. Kawloon also cater for Lunch specials during the week. Pricing is possibly on the upper side, but well worth it.

Im normally not someone that writes reviews but Im very upset with the service tonight. order a large meal including a honey chicken after I got home, I found a honey prawn dish. Im very lucky that I was the one that found out as my partner would of needed some more help then I did! i phoned and explained, I was met with "we can make you a new one thats all" now thats fine but what if and when this happens to someone who will have more then a swollen throat for a few days??? would love some feedback from the restaurant as Im appalled with the customer service.

Went here for a small family 18th birthday.Catered very well and even stores our cakes in the fridge. The food was delicious and will be coming back here again to have dinner!

This place was highly recommended to me by a few friends but it did not live up to the hype. Had the pork fried rice, which was rather tasteless and the pork was very dry. Also the restaurant is extremely noisy inside can hardly hear yourself think. Pricing and service was decent but look at others

Though a little out of the Mandurah food hub, this BYO offers value for money in an elegant yet modern setting. Quiet background music, attentive and fast table service, and also has covered outdoor seating area. The food is very good quality and serving sizes are generous. Sizzling dishes, are served steaming hot and rice served in a rice warmer, stayed hot for our entire meal. Recommend the honey King prawns. Crispy and nicely sticky sweet. If you havent already visited, it is a must to do. Book soon. Great news. No parking worries either. Kowloon is now on my "favourites" list. Well done to all at the restaurant.

Lunch or dinner, Kawloon delivers the best food all round! Great service and quickest takeaway ever. Was recommended by friends and wont go anywhere else now. Everything ordered has been beautiful and certainly cant fault a thing. This is a hidden gem for sure!

Amazing food, tastes much better than traditional take away Chinese. Pricing is around $12 for lunch specials and roughly $18 for a main dish. It was a nice authentic atmosphere with plenty of space and they do BYO.We actually overstayed the lunch closing time by 30mins without realising but nothing was said about it, just smiles from all staff

Highly recommended.My wife and I attend this restaurant on a regular basis. We have tried other Asian restaurants in the region but have found the Kowloon to suit our needs the most.We attend in the evenings from time to time and are always satisfied with the quality of food and service. Also the setting is a plus - comfortable and well set out.In particular the lunch time "special" meal at $12.00 per head is of very good quality and value.

The service was neutral, combinatin fried rice is great. Sweet & Sour sauce Isnt that great, honey chicken is good. Combination Omelette not good, over all price is expensive.
