A lovely place .. There is the cave and then there is a climb to a 15 minute temple with a very impressive view

Interesting place. Be aware that there is only one entrance out of three that you can cross as a foreigner.

We didnt go in the cave, but swam in the waterfall pool and had a nice lunch in one of the restaurants on stilts situated around the pool. Fruit smoothies ဖြောရေ. Many local tourists.

Small cave but super nice, one of my FAV in Hpa-An, theres a lots of monks statue that lead you to a nice natural swimming pool surrounded by nice and cheap restaurant! Very nice place! ( and all free)

Kaw Ka Thawng is in Hpa-An of Kayin state. The cave is very cool inside with dripping water from the ceiling. As in other pagoda you will have to walk with bar feet. It has been gentrified with slippery tile floors and numerous buddha statues. Continuing along a path, you’ll pass the stairway to another cave that’s not normally open.

The first cave is ok, nothing impressive. Nice little walk in the countryside to reach the second one (actually the third, because the second one is closed but if you clim few stairs, nice views on ricefields). Sympatic pool to refresh at the end.

Beautifull place. Very warm atmosphere :)

You can swim & do kayaking in natural cave water

Must go there prepare if u plan to explore. Get a head lamp n a guide to follow

Nice set up and easy access but the limestone cave is not very deep or attractive.

Really nice place to visit. There is a canoe trip proposed just in front going under the mountain which really worth it

Kaw Ka Thaung cave in Hpa-an township Karen state

This was one of my favorite caves of Hpa-An. It is very funny to follow the endless line of monks (it does has an end). It is free to enter the cave.

Beautiful cave. Visit the swimming hole further up the valley.

Not much to explore comparing to other Hpa An caves. There is a spring water pool nearby which is a good escape to the hot sun.

There are many Buddha statues in the cave. There is not much to explore things but just keep going along the way, there are a few restaurant to try Thai food. These cuisine are much taste like real thai because people from here are coming back from thai.

One of the well known cave in Hpa-An, not much people in there compare to other cave, if have a time should visit.

Kaw Ka Thaung Cave is the strongly recommend to visit. That was started the decoration of Buddha tiles in the cave since 7th century but I hope that 11 century while they hiding King Anawrahtas conquest.It was one of the most genuine places where i have been in Myanmar.

Really cool Cave/temple with a Tiny maze next to it. Usually there are local kids playing in the maze that happily show you around how to walk through the maze. The temple itself is pretty but in the area there are more impressive ones. Still worth a visit though

Nothing to exciting, especially once you see the other temples in the area. Not worth the drive out there.

Cool cave but if you have the time go to the saddan cave. Way cooler and more of an experience.
