Kavarna Zvezda in Ljubljana

Stopped in for just a drink while visiting the city. Service was prompt. It was very nice enjoying the drink outside.

Good food and drinks. The service a little bad but overall good.

Best cakes, extremely slow service. Waited for 20 minutes for a coffee and then 15 minutes more for cakes! Ridiculous!

One of Ljubljanas best patisserie chains. And this is the original location. Lots of cakes and other sweets to choose from.

We went to this café to have an authentic Gabanica - a traditional pastry dish from Slovenia. The Gabanica was good, the café looks nice inside as well - but service was slow and prices were high (and portions small).It was a good experience to try the Gabanica but we didnt feel we got good value-for-money.

Only star because I didnt like the cake. I believe the cake was good, but something I dont particularly like. Bottom line, it was sweet enough for me. But for those who like less sweet dessert, then this might be perfect for you.Location was great, service was awesome. A little pricy but still an excellent place to take a break.

Delicious meals, nice staff, vegan-friendly menu.The prices are not cheap, but understandable considering the location. The only minus — construction work nearby.

Had a macchiato, croissant and cake Zvezda here. The cake was interesting, with cream, cookie and puff bases. The coffee was also nice and the cafe is chill and conveniently located. 5 zvezdy.

The food was tasteless, way to cold. All the Soups were cold. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Ice cream is too expensive (2.5 € for a scoop, seriously?!and cakes are getting overrated. I really liked Zvezda 5 years ago but now it’s just one of those overrated cafes locals try to avoid... And then I heard about how they treat their employees... that was one drop too many. I still think we all deserve to get paid fairly! #capitalisticgluttonyUpdate on July 29th: TOO EXPENSIVE, crazy!

I always went to Zvezda for ice cream but they cut portions by two, I got so small ball that I had time to finish it before I reached Vigo on other side of the street! There will be no next time …

Place is probably better know for ice creams. The raspberry chocolate cake I had was decent. Service is very slow but the place itself is cute.

My new favourite hang out in Ljubljana the Slovenian cafeCulture is absolutely spot on and this is such a great hang iut. Bring ur laptop and watch the world go by on the main drag. I dont drink but if i did id be here all the time top notch

A nice, but really nice coffe place in the center of Ljubljana. The cakes are really tasty, but in the same way expensive. The prices move between 4 and 6 euros, which is not recommendable for a small wallet. Beside traditional cakes like Prekmurska Gibanica, big offer of fancy cakes with chocolate, fruits or cream. It is really beautiful inside and it feels a bit timeles, so it is easy to spend some hours here without realising it. Recommendation!

We chose this place as they were the only restaurant or cafe to offer breakfast eggs in the area. We ordered fried eggs, quiche, and coffee. Not cheap but not $$$ and excellent quality food and service.

The ambiance is very charming and cozy. They have a good selection of breakfast options. I ordered omelette with salmon and avocado and blueberry smoothie and it was delicious. The service was also nice and helpful.

One of the best coffees in Ljubljana and good breakfast options 👏+ Great coffee (one of the best in Ljubljana☕👍+ Tasty breakfast options 👌 You should try eggs and avocado (on the picturebut dont expect big portions 🤷‍♂️+- Atmosphere and ambient is nice if you watch Congress square, but there are too much birds that are always there waiting for food leftovers 🤭+ Prices are normal (for Ljubljana- 2 coffees, toast and mentioned eggs and avocado around 18 eur 👏+- Professional service (maybe it could be just a hint faster☝+ No special Covid-19 limitations...So, if you want to have great coffee in Ljubljana and maybe grab a bite of food besides, Zvezda is the place to go 🥂

The coffee is good, but the macaron was not fresh at all. The plum cake was heated in I think a microwave: all melted and soft. We didn’t eat it because of the poor quality, but we still had to pay for it. I do suppose however they have nice fresh cakes, but they should have told us that our pick wasn’t available at the moment, or at least not fresh. Our experienced turned out to be very dissapointing.

Order a mulled gin, with Torta Panama and two macarons - one rose and one pistachio. The pistachio is very likely to be the best I have ever had. Great atmosphere in here too!

If you come to one place in all of SLO, come here. Huge selection of yummy desserts and hot coffees. Absolutely loved this place.

Great selection of cakes, we choose the take away option in the deli next door. Staff was friendly, cakes pricey but delicious.

I like the location, the ambience, the service... but the cakes look nicer than they taste. We bought 4 different ones and with the exception of the chocolate crostata which was unanimously considered good, they were just average. Coffee is good. For ice cream there are much better places nearby.

I’ve heard a lot of times this is the place you have to go if you visit Ljubljana because they have a very good coffee. When it comes to coffee I would say it is average, not bad but either not very good. There are other places where coffee is great. What Zvezda has are amazing desserts, I’ve tried a lot of them and was never disappointed. I would recommend any creamy chocolate cake or pie. Also the service might be a bit slow.

I ordered the Autumn cappuccino after being told by the waiter that its a large cappuccino (it also cost more). All I got in the end was a cappuccino that was smaller than a regular coffee - it was 65% foam. This is not how any type of coffee should be and a total waste of the extra money. The coffee tasted burnt as well. It was very disappointing.Second visit: I ended up here again with a friend and ordered a coffee. It came with a piece of an old sugar packet in it!! Didn’t the barista see the piece of rubbish in the cup when he was making the coffee? That is actually so ridiculous. However, their lemon curd cake was absolutely delicious. I just had terrible luck with their coffees! Id go back for that lemon cake though! 😂😂

Ljubljana has many great gelato places, but we liked this one the best. Really delicious ice cream and creative flavors.

We want "cokolatno sanje" (chocolate dreamto be our wedding cake!!! The best chocolate cake I have had in my whole life. And I really dont like chocolate cakes. Yep. It is THAT good.

Its a nice cafe but the prices are similar to the ones in the airport! Just now I saw that their traditional desert is € 3.60 in the airport too! And their service is slow. For this money I recommend you go to the cafe on top of the hill, in the castle area - the taste was better for the dessert.
