The outside is nothing too special, but the true beauty of this cathedral is on the inside.

A nice historical church worth a visit. I give it 5 stars because of this, but I had a very strange experience here. For me it felt empty, lost, dead. Hard to feel calm inside this church. I usually find myself calm and relaxed in churches but not here. Something made me just want to leave the church. I stayed for about 15 minutes but when I got out I felt a bit stressed, disturbed and irritated.This is just my reflection and hopefully it will not be yours.

I really liked this beautiful church with such a vibrant colourful interior! I would definitely recommend a visit. Just sit there, close your eyes and relax.

Beautiful area for walking around and enjoy architecture, old stone streets in old town and river Neris & Nemunas panoramic views. Its old town area, near city castle and confluence of the 2 rivers. From Old town can walk directly to centre city and central city street - Laisves aleja, here many coffee shops, restaurants...

As far as churches go, it isnt bad at all. It has a really calm and soothing atmosphere and visually, its quite stunning. Overall its a good cathedral.

Noticed this place from a distance, and of course had to investigate.Wasn’t expecting such magnificent inside, and spent a good 2hrs walking around.Can’t believe how tall the main ceiling was, absolutely mind blowing for the time when built.If visiting then well worth the trip.In general Lithuania is wonderful all over... will sure be back for the third time soon.

The most important Catholic Church in Kaunas. Unique for its highly eclectic architectural style. While facade is mostly Gothic style, interior is dominated by Baroque style.

Outside one of the most important architecture Romanic stile example.. and inside classic Baroque, one of the "must see" in Kaunas.

The cathedral of Kaunas is the spritual center of the archdiocese. It has a beautiful interior and a living religional life. It fits weel in the oldtown of Kaunas holding the memories of the past centuries. On one of the side-altars the blood-relic of pope Saint John Paul II. is exhibited.

Interesting place to see and visit. Although from the outside its has that tough romanic look, inside its nice and holy and pretty ave taking. So dont be vary of this place, its worth to see and maybe toss a few euro for the holy cause of it all.

Even if the outer part is not that incredible, the inside is incredible. It doesn´t matter if you are religious or not, must enter.

The artitectural details and sculptures are worth seeing. The music insight makes the athmosphere excellent.

If youre in Kaunas Old Town, then you should visit the Cathedral Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul. You might not expect much from seeing the plain exterior, but inside is truly splendid. Large triple nave, huge arches, numerous side altars, a chapel for adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, glorious high altar. Dont miss the large paintings high up along the nave depicting key moments in the lives of the churchs patron saints -- Peter and Paul.

It looks a little scruffy from the outside, but is really grand from the inside. The organ there is really beautiful, as are all 7 altars. Must visit.
