Delicious Ethiopian foods, the price is expensive

Good place to visit and having food.

I choose this place for lunch even it is busy. They have delicious Ethiopian food.

Such good food! And incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I was there alone, being in the city for work, and unfamiliar with Ethiopian food. The waiter asked me questions about what I did and didnt like, then made a suggestion that was just the ticket. Each of the two dishes I had was really tasty. There was a generous portion of each, far too much food for me alone. Splitting it wouldve made it incredible value for money but even for one it still seemed inexpensive for the quality. The restaurant is comfortable, relaxed, and nicely decorated. Then, at the end of my meal, when the Ride driver got confused on the way to pick me up, the waiter spoke to the driver, gave him directions and successfully got him to the restaurant. A very good experience all in.

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant and decided to try it out but it wasn’t any close what I have heard. The food was good, the issue was drinks.We were about to have a glass of wine and when we asked the waiter he told us they don’t sell the white wine by a glass.I asked for the manager to see what the reason was and he told me that they don’t offer wine by a glass due to lack of market.He said if they open a glass, they might not be able to sell the rest out. I was really disappointed with the whole theory. That big restaurant refusing to sell a glass of wine that costs $10 dollars shows lacking customer service. I would have been happy if I was provided a glass of wine and charged by the bottle price. It doesn’t mean that I had extra money but when I go out for dinner, I rather enjoy the evening at any cost.I hope someone take action to correct this matter for other customers.

Its a great place that servers traditional ethiopian dishes with good prices and better quality from most of the other traditional places and I am a frequent customer but recently the food they serve has been a bit out of order but I hope they fix that

I love their food the service and they always make sure I get to feel at home.

My sunglasses were stolen here. The staff was quite rude about it. I didnt accuse anyone of anything, but they made me seem like I was being "crazy" for asking if theyve seen my glasses. One of the staff even touched my hair laughing and saying "maybe theyre inside of your hair". It was pretty disturbing. I dont recommend this place.

If you like to have Ethiopian local foods most probably Kategna is the right place you will chose. Kategna the name it self is a food prepared by Enjera with hot spice and butter.

Nice restaurant but just make the menu simple

Terrible service. We had to call the waiting staff three times before they can take our order and then change one of our orders.

One of the most successful local food chain in Addis Ababa. Lunch time feels like the World Cup, their outlets in Bole are packed with foodies from all over. This outlet serves fewer customers at night compared to the Medhanealem outlet - oh, thats lit day and night. Perfect place to get together with friends and acquaintances

Named after a Delicious local food Kategna, its one of the few high quality restaurants that serve local foods. The price is on the higher side but definitely worth it. The interior designs and the theme and aroma of this place make it great.

Good menu if you wish to escape the Ethiopian menus. Good ambience and friendly staff. Trendy crowd. Sadly, for me, no alcoholic drinks sold here.

Whatever you do, don’t order the chicken doro wot. It’s served cold and tastes as if the chicken was washed in bleach. I couldn’t finish it.

Best quanta firfer ever! Their local hot sauce (Awazehas a distinct taste that will make you crave for more. if you like spicy food Kategena is the place for you !

One of our favorite spots to go for lunch if were craving Ethiopian food service is amazing at all of there branches and the food is superb! Recommend everything on there menu you will not be disappointed!
