Good coffee, nice people ☕️🫶🏼
Delicious coffee and sandwiches 😋 Cats sleeping on cozy couches is an added bonus 😍
MoreThe best place to order a cake for a birthday party in the south. Never disappoints. Highly recommended!
Morebest flat white in sri lanka, they know what they’re doingwill be back:)
Super tasty and great service! Espresso tonic is my favorite, as well as quesadilla with beans 🤤
MoreGreat environment in a very peaceful setting.Very good coffee and service.
Weve had a really good time here. Very nice atnosphere and beautiful cafe. The cold brew here is delicious!)
MoreAwesome coffee place near Unawatuna 😍Light breakfast menu and very tasty coffee.
MoreCute little cafe tucked away a short walk from the main road. Very quiet and relaxed environment. Food tasted great. Tried the sourdough sandwich and the chocolate cake. Cake was very moist and not over sweet. Bread was warm, fresh and delicious. Service is friendly and quick. Recommended for a relaxed bite after a morning or afternoon at the beach. Dont forget to pet the very adorable and friendly cat!
MoreDelicious food and coffee for a affordable price. Nice service. Theres a cat in front of the cafe to welcome the guests. 🐈
MoreHomemade cakes, good coffee. Need I say more? Definitely worth a stop for a caffeine and sugar refill
MoreGreat coffee and oatmeal. This is truly a great place to enjoy a delicious espresso and snack. Kats coffee offers breakfast options like oatmeals or sandwiches but also cakes. Besides that, the service is great!I loved the cranberry vanilla oatmeal with fruits!
MoreKats - thank you for the lovely coffee, incredible porridge and a lovely place to chill out of the heat.I also wanna say a massive thank you for the book - I am 3/4 of the way through and I only picked it up two days ago. They offer a book exchange library - had some great books on offer. Enjoy
MoreKat and her girls are just amazing, preparing the best coffee down the south coast (and I tried many). The snacks like sandwiches or quesadillas are also super delicious and you definitely have to try their homemade cakes. The café is a super cozy place as well where you can escape busy Unawatuna and hang out in one of the comfy sofas. Definitely a must do! :)
MoreSeeing as this is one of the only cafes with air conditioning in the Galle area, I figured Kats coffee would be nomad friendly, but I was mistaken.Only an hour after ordering our coffee and sandwich, the boss lady began asking us if we wanted anything else. She also told me I was talking too loudly on the phone, even though there was no one else in the cafe and I was talking at a normal indoor level. On top of that there is no WiFi here, and the coffee is meh at best.Won’t be returning and do not recommend this spot for nomads.
MoreOoh that was the best capucino we had in Sri Lanka. They have sri lankas beans and the taste is amazing. I also have to say they know how to make the real creamy capucino.
MoreKat‘s Coffee was a real blessing on our trip. The best coffee we had in our time in Sri Lanka and a realy nice atmosphere to drink it in. Good place to read, to chat or just relax.Kat the owner rounds the whole experience with her friendliness and openess.Thank you for the space and the relaxing time there :)
MoreIncredible coffee and a lovely cosy cafe! Slightly pricey but it’s worth it the coffee is so good, lovely place to relax with a book, they have an exchange with loads of choice and also sell cute little handmade goods too!
MoreNice little café, good and fresh cakes, excellent coffee. You can bring a book here and exchange it for a New book that you havent read😍📙
MoreReally nice cafe with easily one of the best coffees we had in Sri Lanka. Great vibe to the place with cats just chilling out by the window and numerous ethically made bags, t-shirts etc. available for sale. Highly recommend if in need of a decent coffee in Sri Lanka.
MoreBeautiful cafe with sofas to lounge about and books to read. The cats in the cafe give it a very homely feel. The latte we had was really creamy and well prepared. The cakes though were a little too sweet for our taste. A little on the pricier side. Parking for about two cars available. They have a decently clean unisex washroom. Handmade bags, notebooks, postcards and greeting cards are also available here
MoreThis is my favourite place from my trip to Sri Lanka. The red bean quesadilla was fantastic. We went back twice! Make a point to stop here if youre passing through or staying near Unawatuna. Lovely staff too.
MoreWe stopped by Kats nearly every day we were in unawatuna. Brilliant coffee, cool (literallyatmosphere, friendly staff and a great place to relax. Nice to meet kat herself too! And buttons the cat of course
MoreGood coffee and wonderful cake. Love the place.
We were in Sri Lanka a month before we have tried this place. We have been in a lot of coffee shops and restaurants but I can say that this is the best expresso machiato in Sri Lanka. We also liked the deserts and sandwiches. The place is sparkling clean and the stuff very nice and helpful.
MoreThe coffee was tasty. Nice and chill cafe. ❤️
Serenity in the Hubble and bubble! A truly relaxing and comfortable Cafe with giant lounge chairs, real coffee and a light, airy woodsy vibe - Portland meets Bells beach kind of affair. The German owner Kat brings her experience of the demanding European market combining it with the best of Sri Lankan flair. Employing local women, selling local products and using local coffee and keeping the business at a fair grassroots level.
MoreKat’s Coffee is a very relaxing and tranquil place to enjoy good coffee and tasty healthy food. A welcome break from the noise of theplaces closer by.Overall a lovely vibe, nice customers and friendly staff who went out of their way to help.
Moregreat coffee. I had a delicious foamy capuccino and loved it. Came back for the cranberries and brie toast: heaven. The place is cozy, you can charge your phone and enjoy. Owner is very nice and staff is super kind. Plus: a lil cat received me at the door ♥️
MoreHusband loved the flat white - best he’s had when we’ve been travelling. I loved the kombucha. Serene venue with friendly and attentive service just off the busy Galle Matara road. Enjoy!
MoreLove Kat’s coffee! She has the best coffee in Sri Lanka☕️Katrin is super nice, just like the other amazing girls working there. If your lucky, she has the vegan cherry-chocolate cake😌
MoreA good coffee shop on main Galle - Matara road just before entering Unawatuna beach road. The coffee that we ordered was good and reasonably priced. $2 americano, $3 for cafe latte. The place does not accept cards so bring enough cash.
MoreCute place. Clean. Suitable for non Sri Lankans. Good choice of food. Two cute kitties made it feel like home. Love it. Will be back as we are staying right across the street.
MoreNice place to work and chill ! Very nice cappuccino with coconut milk 👌
Such a nice spot! Great coffee and very sweet staff. The cappuccino cake was soooo good...
MoreWeve a really good time here. Very nice atnosphere and beautiful cafe. Real ice coffee with milk (ice made by coffee).
MoreThey serve good coffee here and there’s lots of cute kittens! The a/c and wifi are really good and the owner is really friendly. All of the baked goods are delicious - highly recommend the carrot cake!
MoreLovely owner who shares my love for cats.. i had an ice coffee which was absolutely delicious, and a locally made kombucha which was also great. The cafe is eco friendly, with no plastic bottles or straws.. winning!
MoreBest coffeeshop in Unawatuna. Kat really knows her coffee and she gets the good stuff. Also great desserts. Nice place to hang out and chill, read a book or have a chat. Definitely recommend a visit here.
MoreCozy place with good coffee. Owner don’t mind to make drink with soy or any other plant based milk if you bring it with. Two lovely kittens playing around. Air conditioned place.
MoreMenu is a little limited, but the food is healthy and well priced. I love the decor here and the owner is lovely. The coffee here was the best I had in Sri Lanka.
MoreBest coffee around! Really friendly owner, who even made me porridge (try it!and cappuccino with the coconutmilk I brought, perfect! Also, dont forget about the cakes yum!
MoreSummary : good coffee but a expensive place for the foodFood : veg questitidila, veg sandwiches (2)Cold brew , iced coffeeThe drinks were served without sugar, so add sugar as per taste. The quantity of drinks served is generous. However the food was disappointing. The sandwiches for eg , while ok in taste but we were served only 2 slices of bread which quite frankly does not justify the cost. The questitidila was slightly better though.Ambiance: the ambiance is casual. Very comfortable seating. Some seats are creatively created out of bicycles.Value of money : probably not that worth it unless you are going for the coffee
MoreIf you miss a really good coffee - you need to go to Kats Coffee!!! There you will find good coffee, tasty hot chocolate, fresh soda juice and very tasty cakes! After our long trip through Iran and Sri Lanka, I missed a good Latte so much. And finally I got it there!
MoreCoffee, cake, fresh ice tea, atmosphere and staff. All are superb!
what a gem. third wave coffee shop opened up by a young german lady following her dream and love of the art of coffee. Best coffee in the area, by far! Perfect for anyone who wants arabica beans, fruitful and bold flavors!
MoreFor those discerning coffee lovers accustomed to brewing excellence found in locales such as New York, London, or Rome, Kats Coffee will be a welcome refuge. High quality, trendy, and relaxed. Truly a must-visit in Unawatuna.
MoreHard working owner who takes coffee seriously - nice vibe and delicious cold brew
MoreCoffee-loving people of the world, go try out Kats! The best flat white in Sri Lanka, without question. And we should know. After taking many a detour across this beautiful island in search of fantastic local coffee (a staple crop here WAY before tea took over, and plenty still producedmade espresso-style with farm fresh organic milk, my flat-white- addicted partner and I finally gave up and had tea. Albeit amazing tea... but we are proper addicts. The day before our last we discovered Kats Coffee... utter perfection! I wholeheartedly recommend a morning in the light, bright, welcoming cafe with homeade cakes for a beach break too. Thank you, and keep up the anazing work, Kat!
