Kasbah Café - Cafe in Marrakech, Morocco
Had the kofte with humus and vegetables+ mint tea. We loved the mint tea, beautifully brewed and full of fresh mint. However the kofte/kebab had little to no flavour, the humus was nothing great either and the vegetables were swimming in oil. Quite surprised by the delayed service and lack of flavour since this cafe is quite highly rated . There are alot more better places to get food on kasbah area.
Nice view, friendly service but it is very expensive even by european standards!
absolutely beautiful views from the terrace overlooking saadiens tombs, we had a delicious meal, i had the vegetarian pizza and eggplant salad and the only complaint from any of us was that the cous cous was plain, although when mixed with the delicious tagine was still lovely. an incredible way to end our week in marrakech
We liked the view, the food and the service. What more can you want?
Love the food there, and nice place.
@kasbahcafe.kechone of the best rooftops in Marrakech: tasty food, cool drinks, rooftop terrace, cosy café. Come, enjoy and taste the world.Les prix :Boissons 🍹:20dh/45dh .Plats :90dh/150dh.Desserts 🍨 :30dh/60dh.Salades :55dh/95dh.Pizza:85dh/95dh.
Stylish café on the doorstep of the magnificent Saadian Tombs. The terrace has fabulous views over rooftops and the city gates, but the seating is a bit cramped. Coffee is decent and the watermelon juice is very refreshing.
Great food and great service. We sat on the roof terrace and had a lovely meal including tagine, berber omelette and the tanjia marrakchia. Highly recommended. Pricey for Morocco but worth it.
Great food, vegetarian and vegan options available. The terrace is beautiful, great views and ambiance. The staff are also very nice and attentive. My friend and I, we get there by chance and came back two more times. Highly recommended!
Really beautiful, BUT: I said I just want to sit down to relax and enjoy a tea, which they smilingly accepted. However, after I barely finished the tea they asked me again if I would like to order food. When I said no, they made me leave in front of all guests, because suddenly there was a reservation on my table which they forgot about. Very rude behaviour just to make some more cash. Also, the food is at least 2-3 times more expensive then in most restaurants of equal quality and service in Marrakech…
Lovely rooftop spot, we ordered some pastries for a quick snack, which were delicious as were the juices.
Highly recommend. Nice / clean venue. Ate here several times on a week stay. All the food and desserts are tasty and well made. For us, the pizza was a real pleasant surprise.
Nice place! Tasty food! The calzones were a little heavy but everything else was really good! The view is nice! Coffee really good!! The staff polite!!
Absolutely lovely cafe right in the centre of the Kasbah Quarter. If you head up to the roof terrace its lovely and cool with views overlooking the mosque and street. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was lovely! We had the chicken kebabs with houmous and pistachio ice cream for dessert. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Beautiful rooftop patio with excellent juices and food. The cafe has a misting system that keeps everything cool.
Great food and drinks, the views are amazing! I definitely recommend this place
Great food and really professional service, have been many times
Amazing place to spend afternoon with friends. Delicious food and great service 👍
I had dinner with a few people I met here from a tour group. we sat on the rooftop but the center table did not have lights.I ordered tangine which was pretty good but only one piece of chicken.I had stopped by a couple days ago for lunch and sat on the rooftop but they were so busy that no one ever came over so I left but decided to give them another chance for dinner.
Good local food, excellent rooftop terrace overlooking the Kasbah Mosque. Wonderful place to enjoy dinner and sunset views. We had the lentil and harira soup. Tagines were delicious.Reasonable price and good friendly service
The reviews have it right! Excellent! We also enjoyed the spice shop next door.
Lovely roof terrace with a view of the mountains, quick and tasty food. Recommend the traditional lemon juice.
Tasty lentil soup in a superb terrace with a really nice view.
Beautiful roof top cafe! Like a little oasis in the city. Friendly staff, super nice atmosphere and delicious food! We are vegan and there are different options. We had the 4 Moroccan salads and the eggplant salad, it was very very good! 100% recommendation, you won’t regret it.
Ideal location, great views of the Kasbah and mosque....very good staff, food and drink excellent .....
Perfect service and not expensive. The place is especially frequented by tourists but they serve up quality traditional dishes.
The rood top views were sublime. ... We were given a free soup appetizer with bread, which was delicious and unexpected. We ordered quail egg pizza (very delicious and uniqueand margarita pizza (again went down a treat). The juices are a great blend and very well executed.Would most definitely recommend and return again. Thank you for the great service.
The staff was kinda unfriendly and messed up our order (which seems to be a common thing in morocco). Also, be aware that the „Kasbah Cafe Mixed Juice“ is actually a milkshake.Overall the view and vibe is nice but I would definitely not go there again as it seemed overpriced looking at the quality of service and food.
The cafe is really amazing in terms of both the food and view. We ended up coming here twice for the food. The lentil soup was really really amazing.
Friendly service. Food is quite good but very salty.
Beautiful rooftop terrace with delicious food - definitely try the chicken couscous for the iconic tagine dish. Also - an added bonus: yummy carrot juice shooters and olives (with the delicious Moroccan bread!)
Wow:great view and really tasty:sitting on the roof top is an attraction for tourists. Harira soup for me was delicious and tomato and avocado tatar very fresh. Its a really nice place to rest and eat:)
Love this cafe the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is authentic.Dined outside on roof top with view of street just on outskirts of Medina.Very clean and comfortable dining.Highly recommend.
Nice food, friendly Service, Nice roofterras with water dust spray. Enough choice for vegatarians and those who are not. We even returned, choose other plates, again very fine!
Nice food, good portion size, great for sitting and people watching. English speaking staff who are friendly and not intrusive.
Everything perfect and came as a surprise considering we choose the place only because it’s in front of a big stork nest. The only sour note was not being able to take the balcony seats, but it didn’t actually matter once we received our veggie tartares (avocado and aubergine), the chicken skewers (delicious, served with hummus), gazpacho (yes there is space also for international cuisine), home made yogurt with fruits and fresh fruit juices (the place serves no alcohol). I’d definitely recommend eating in Kasbah cafè and I’m sorry I didn’t have the chance to try their tajine as they looked promising.
Wow, what a great spot to eat. Sat by windows so we could hear the call to prayer and take in a view of the street. Good food and service !
I could say the kasbah cafe was a nice location and a good view of the mollusk and The Nightlife thats around side area of Marrakesh I think the food was okay but it felt like they were not concerned with the quality and quantity unmerited the prices they were charging. ? Service was okay but it did require us to ask the waiter to clear the table they just didnt seem to be that a tentative I would say this Cafe doesnt Merit a high rating that they currently have until they change things to make it more reasonable and the portions slightly larger I think you can do better at other venues
Good food, great prices. There are many store front eateries on this street but the restaurants that are supported by Trip Advisor are obvious. The Kasbah Cafe has a grandiose sign that can be seen only if you are in front of it, not while you are walking towards it. There is ground level seating and rooftop seating but in January, most people sit on the middle level because it is actually cold at night. The middle level is not over the top tourist decor, the ceiling and wall lamps are the extent of the decorations. The ambient music was more “elevator music” than Moroccan. What you order is what you get. If it says Lemon Chicken with olives and couscous all you will get is Chicken with olives and couscous. No vegetables, no extras. You pay for safety and reliability not for a bountiful feast. We enjoyed the meal, but had better elsewhere.Good place to go if you are hungry and in the neighborhood.
Thé location and terrasse is amazing. Very good spot to rest after a walk. Drinks are good. Food is good without being exceptionnel. But the location worth it
Ok, didnt go to the roof terrace sat by the steet, food good but was charged more that the price shown on the menu. Just a couple of euros and the waiter not understanding my English or admittedly poor French it wasnt worth the aggro that Ive experienced elsewhere in Marrakesh when questioning prices so I left it and paid.
The views from the terrace are stunning, you get the best view of the mosque, some storks, and even the mountains. The coffee and the sweets were decent, although a little overpriced. The juices looked very good, too. The service was friendly, and we could pay by card. They had wifi available for customers, too.
Service was ok but it had to wait at least 10 minutes for our drinks and another 20 for the food. All that while there was basically nobody in the restaurant. When we finally got the food, it was not what we ordered. We were getting quite annoyed at this point so we ate it anyway. It didnt take long as the portions were rather small. Not worth it and also way too expensive.
This place is amazing! Roof top is really nice and you’re sitting right next to the mosque- so have an open mind and enjoy the view :I just had a glass of fresh pressed lemon juice and it came with a bottle of water on the side. I’m glad they know that us tourists can’t handle their tap water :very considerate . Thanks!
Rooftop is lovely in the February mild weather. Salads and entrees are good. Staff is charming.
Dropped by on our first day in Marrakech as it was closed to our Riad and recommended by our receptionist. Lovely rooftop terrace to enjoy the weather. Service was friendly. Food was average to good, the mixed skewers lacked a bit of flavour and the Beef tagine, though tender and tasty enough, had almost a centimeter of oil at the bottom. Ok for a quick stop if youre in the Old Town area.
Very nice restaurant, good price quality ratio and a lovely terrace overlooking the street
First visit - We enjoyed our aubergine salads and mint tea. Sat downstairs and watched the world go by. Friendly staff.Second visit - Delicious tagines served on the roof terrace. Very good coffee. Great value.Third & fourth visits also good. 😊
We took• Lentil🥘soup• Fresh pink grapefruit and strawberry 🍷juiceRemarkably good.btw: fitting the fifth star would mean loosing authentic character.
Easy to find with a small and popular roof terrace with good views. The room below is cool and cosy with an interesting music choice. The pizza and calzone were good and the more Moroccan style food was tasty but not overwhelming. Prices were fair and Id come back to chill out and get a coffee.
