It’s hard to find decent hotels in London. They never seem to deliver on the value for money aspect. However, I can truly say this place although outdated to some degree, has a character which is unique to this place, and I would stay here again. Appreciated the A La Carte fresh breakfast menu options!

Fantastic hotel in a great location. We stayed here for a weekend escape without the kids! The hotel is situated in fantastic area with most things only a stones throw away. The staff on arrival were very polite and friendly and the loft suite room we had booked was just what we were after. For us there was only 2 negatives, the first being the extortionate cost of everything in the room, £10 for a pot of Pringles, even I can’t justify that!!! The second thing was we were interrupted twice whilst in our room, the first time to deliver a bucket of ice (strange several hours after we checked in??and the second time was a maintenance man wanting to measure something in the bathroom. Even worse, on both occasions the staff knocked once & before we had time to answer they opened the door. Luckily we had the chain on the door as the second time my wife was in the bath (which was in the middle of the room!!!however the guy would of certainly had a good view. Not the sort of thing you expect to happen in a high end hotel.Aside from this, the hotel was lovely, a great room & great bar on the top floor. For the price and location we couldn’t have asked for more and would certainly return again.

I booked a Superior Compact room and ended up with a room adapted for disabled people, which is very inconvenient if you’re not + the bathroom is beyond disappointing: the floor is very slippery (not safe at alland water would be crazy hot, not able to have normal temperature - simple could not shower on a Thursday night at almost midnight. Of course they could not upgrade me because the hotel was fully booked. Very very disappointing for a 315€/night hot. I Absolutely do not recommend this hotel, very negative client experience.

Its luxury without the snobbery. Ive been to London several times and its my absolute favorite stay so far. The smell is infectious, the staff, Nadir especially, makes you feel right at home, the breakfast is fantastic, the location is right in the heart of everything so you can walk everywhere. I only wish the room was a bit brighter but overall its been a fantastic stay. I will absolutely be coming back.

Stayed here in the past, no problem. The room was a nice size and clean. It was a handicap accessible bathroom, which was fine, a bit difficult for my husband to use the sink as he has a bad back and it is low to the floor. There was a faint drain odor in the bathroom. Once the shower was used, it backed up all the way to the far wall. You were standing in water no matter where you were in the bathroom. It took 25 minutes to drain completely, and there was a great risk of sliding and falling on the wet floor. We told the front desk and housekeeping came to take a look. Not really his job, but he tried to do his best. He poured drain cleaner in and came back in 20 minutes to check. No change so he poured more in. He told us someone would be there after 1:00 pm to take care of it. At that time we also pointed out that the front door could not lock unless the door was slammed shut. He promised to have that looked at too. Again, not really his responsibility, but he was trying to help. We were offered a free breakfast that day. Front desk informed the bathroom was still flooding the next day. On the 2nd night when we returned, a very strong drain odor was throughout the room. The next morning the water did drain, but no one had informed us the trap had been cleaned and to run water so the odor would go away. It was not pleasant smelling that all night. Update: management was supposed to contact me, per response to this review. Never heard back from anyone.

We only stayed here for three nights, but got some of the best service we’ve ever gotten at a hotel. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating, trying to help you in any way possible. The whole hotel is gorgeous, the room was clean and spacious. It has a very funky vibe to it.The attention to detail by the housekeeping was remarkable, they organized and tidied every little thing. The lounge areas are very nice, with equally prompt service and delicious drinks with shisha. Youll definitely see me back & I will highly recommend to anyonewho asks.

A really great find. Karma Sanctum is a boutique hotel with a personality. Themed around music from the 60s on it serves well if you plan to spend time around the west end. We were given complimentary breakfast which is always welcome (although it wasnt the best, and I would have sent it back had I paid for it). I will stay here again.

I attended my sons wedding breakfast, although staff were polite the whole event was disjointed with very poor service, I have never eaten fresh fruit without plates or dishes or spoons before appalling. The milk jug for the coffee was filthy with yellow dried old milk the whole meal experience was ruined because nothing was served together at the correct time. Would not recommend this place to anyone. The lift was out of use and when asked if there were disabled toilets a very glib yes down a very steep flight of stairs!

Very unhappy with our stay here, the bartender was very rude to all of us and aggressive towards my wife and here friend in particular who felt threatened by him!The customer service is poor and upon check out we were told that the manager would contact us before our final bill. However we did not even see the room charges before they processed the payment against the holding card, which then the bill was incorrect! (they mixed up the bill for another room). After check out the manager did not get in contact to sort the issue out, I chase the manger for 4 days before final speaking to the manager who really didn’t care about the issue and found wasn’t helpful in resolving the matter. Overall found the hotel is tired eg. Hot tub not fully working, the bed was damaged, cracked windows.. the list goes on!All night we could here music from our room, which isn’t great when you’re trying to sleep! The staff our incompetent and require customer relations training. I would not recommend this hotel to stay in Soho!

The location is absolutely perfect. Countless restaurants and shops are a stones throw away. Close enough to the tube and easy access to busses and taxis. My family booked a week at the Karma Sanctum. We were impressed from start to finish. Ella accommodated our early arrival, she gave us rooms immediately. The hotel is very clean and has a great Rock decor. Our room had an excellent view of the city and was spotless.I would like to highlight the staff of the Karma Sanctum, they made the stay fantastic. From Nadir, Tuna, and Ella, to Sam, and Anthony, The entire staff cares for guests comfort. I apologize for any staff names Im missing. We loved every interaction with each staff member. The rooftop bar/lounge is a great place to relax and or get some work done.We will be rebooking on our next visit.Do you and yours a solid, book the Karma Sanctum.

Location, Bed,shower, toiletries. Coffee in room.Window curtains dont close, feel like youre in a fish bowl all the time. There should be a black out curtain option. Elevator is moody, doors dont always open and you have to go to ground floor and hit the alarm button.Other than that, comfortable stay! And no coffee at roof top bar😕

What hotel in a post pandemic world has either non-refundable or transferable rooms?I did go through the booking process, assuming that I would confirm the terms before it confirmed the booking. Regardless, happy to transfer the date, but to refuse neither with 3 weeks notice is madness. They are highly likely to resell the room. #notsolvingforthecustomer. Go somewhere that is focussed on customer experiences.I will perhaps see whether a homeless person fancies a room over there head when I’m due to stay.

A chill drink on the rooftop bar with a friend, really great decor in the hotel, staff were welcoming friendly and accommodating and some great art work strewn throughout. The missing star is simply because, and I appreciate its technically outside, people were smoking right next to where we sat in the rooftop bar and I will never enjoy myself as much in that circumstance.

Overpriced hotel that relies on music memorabilia. Bar/restaurant shut. 40g Pringles @ £5.00. No complimentary tea or coffee but two pack of biscuits for £4.00. Single bed made up with a double duvet. Asked to complete e mail survey for the Hotel Manager and they didnt respond. All this for £250 a night. No car parking or concession so add another £75 to your stay. Or you could use the scabby hot tub right by the roof bar entrance. No thank you. Much better places for that kind of money.

The single worst place I have ever stayed. Cannot begin to imagine why anyone would enjoy staying here. If it was possible i would give it a negative rating out of 5 it really was that terrible.Hard to believe that anyone who gave this hotel a good review are not in some way connected with the hotel as it was simply that bad.The number one complaint that I have about this hotel was that the rooms advertised in the pictures displayed were no where near comparable to the dump of a room myself and my girlfriend received upon our arrival. The room we received was to be put it simply abysmal. The room was cramped, dirty and has not been refurbished in the last 30 years. The only clean and professional thing associated with this hotel is the misleading pictures posted on hotels site,In addition to this, the walls were paper thin. We could literally hear everything, EVERYTHING, that was going on in the other rooms. Not just the ones on our own floor but also the ones on the floor above us.The room was also notable dusty and dirty. There was holes in the wall as well as well a pipe sticking out of the cracked tiles in what was our dingy bathroom. The shower had not been cleaned prior to our visit and as a result the shower floor was covered in hairs from our previous visit. To mention the staff, they were quite rude and seemed quite un-interested in assisting guests throughout our stay which was most disappointing.

I booked for a few nights back in January. Due to the pandemic, I had explicitly asked what there policy was on cancellations, and they assured me they would refund in the event that I had to cancel. I alerted them 8 weeks in advance that I was cancelling and they refused to refund me. They replied once to my emails, and have since stopped replying and they refuse to pick up the phone to me. They are childish thieves and do not honour their word. Disgusting.

Went there after already been celebrating somewhere else. I was taken by a friend who is a member, for drinks and cocktails. Great decor and vibe, which is rock n roll.We were very well looked after at the bar upstairs, they also have a roof terrace. It is not unusual to bump into celebs from the music world there. I felt like one myself.

My wife and I spent a night in Soho for my 30th and chose Sanctum due to its boutique rock n roll theme and Japanese cuisine. The hotel vibe is amazing, we immediately wandered the corridors looking at all the artwork! The room was dark, sexy and romantic, most importantly it was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant/bar area really stood out for us. We had a dinner reservation Saturday evening and wanted to try as much as possible so we opted for a sharing platter, the chicken dumplings and katsu sliders are to die for. The staff were extremely friendly, one gentleman in particular who we think might have been the manager (unfortunately didn’t get his name!was so attentive he made us feel like we were getting a real VIP service, even topped it with a desert on the house!Thank you for making my birthday celebrations extra special 😄

To say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in would be an understatement. The location is amazing, the rooms are gorgeous. The roof top bar is top notch, but what makes this hotel the best I have ever stayed in, is the staff. Every Member of staff was outgoing, friendly and professional and went above and beyond to ensure the happiness of their guests. The owners were very interactive and present with their guests, I had asked if they had any hair spray I could buy and they did not have any. When I came back later, the owner had bought some hairspray at the store and let me use it. It is the small gestures like this that made the overall stay amazing. Thank you to everyone who made my weekend special. I will be back, many times to come.

I recently held a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend on the rooftop of the Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel. It could not have gone any better. The venue’s cool, quirky decor perfectly lends itself to a celebration event. I’d like to extend a huge thank you to the owner and staff for playing along and helping to keep the surprise going when I checked in with my boyfriend right up until the big reveal on the roof. Sherene’s help in managing the event was second to none. Mark was a great host and I’d like to praise him for his acting skills and discretion which went a long way when we entered. All staff throughout were helpful and friendly. Placing our room conveniently by the rooftop stairs allowed for complete comfort throughout the night. Thanks to all. It was a day to remember and I look forward to returning soon. I would not hesitate to hold another event here.

Everything was spot on, i arrived just before midnight so parking outside was very good and didnt compromise me in no way what so ever, walked up to the door and opened it and went in lovely decor, was greeted by a member of staff who took my details and payment along with id, then was given a key card to my room along with some nice words stating the hot tub and bar as well as if i need any help dont hesitate to call, i then made my way to the elevator which was also nice, finally got to my floor and opened my hotel room door and thats when the magic started!beautiful room, spacious, lovely decor, beautiful bath! the best i have ever sat in! everything about the room and experience was top top top! i would definitely be visiting again in the near future! Thanks again for the experience.

We enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things that did let it down. The location is perfect and the stunning display of flowers around the door sets a great tone. The receptionist was really uninterested, almost to a point or rudeness. It was really unsettling and totally at odds with the look of the lobby, which was nicely designed. The hotel has some great artwork throughout, and a really design based vibe. The room was nice, and there was a Nespresso machine but no plugs by the bed for phones is not really acceptable these days. The air con control has a really bright blue light, we had to hang a towel over it (it was so bright it shone through). Despite searching we never saw a price for any of the items on the well stocked bar in the room, but given that a second coffee was priced at £2.50 (and they weren’t genuine Nespresso podswe thought they wouldn’t be cheap. We also couldn’t find any milk.Strangely the corridor outside our room had random pieces of furniture, I’ve no idea why. Some of this vanished while we were there some didn’t.Checkout was equally unfriendly. Based on that we didn’t eat at the restaurant, although it looked really nice.

Hotel is a bit of a let down. Location is excellent, but after that it goes downhill. Only stayed for one night but was enough. Has a quirky style, which is fine although its a bit dated and rough around the edges. Room was large, but felt a bit grubby. Also has a roof top bar (apparentlynot that I could see it as it was booked out for a function and wasnt allowed up - wasnt told prior to booking. Had food in the restaurant, staff were friendly but hadnt a clue what was going on. Food was okay. Similar staff experience at breakfast except this time food was dreadful. Wouldnt rush back.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. We arrived before check in, expecting to leave our bags and return when the room was ready but there was no need. They were ready for us! Room was very clean, comfortable and ornately decorated with glitzy walls, colorful artwork, and cowhide floral ottomans. Hookah comes out at night and there is a fully stocked 24/hr bar! My only complaint is the slow moving lift but hey, at least they have one!!

We stayed here in April 2018. The room was offered at significantly low prices compared to other hotels in the area. Found out why: there is construction going on right next door and pedestrian walkway is closed off. It’s very loud in the morning. It didn’t really bother us because we had early morning schedules but if you’re planning to sleep in, stay away. They offer ear plugs which is nice. The room is small but that’s standard in London. The bathroom has its pros and cons. Shower is incredible but sinks are one of those old fashioned split hot/cold spout. Our room wasn’t made on the last night we stayed there. We felt some of the staff wasn’t very friendly. The gentleman who checked us in was stand-offish and no one greeted us when we went in and out of the hotel. We asked the staff to book us a taxi and we were told to walk next street over to the taxi stand... which is true but it took us more than 20 minutes to grab a taxi! Calling a taxi would’ve been faster. Overall good price for the stay only if you don’t mind the construction noises. Hope this helps.

I used the bar upstairs and downstairs, and saw a performance there. The upstairs bar is beautiful, I would definitely consider it for bringing friends, or celebrating. The cocktails in the upstairs bar are almost double the cost of other London bars though, so I recommend going during happy hour. Elsewhere I pay £6.50-£8.00, here it’s £14.00. It is a beautifully decorated bar though. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. I would come her again for a special night out.

I attended a film screening at the hotel. From that prospective, it was well maintained and had its own unique aesthetic, to be sure. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Drinks were relatively expensive, but then most hotel bars are. The Variety room is comfortable and was well suited for the purposes of the event. I look forward to the next time I visit.
