En arrivant tu dois donner 1000 colones par personne au gentil monsieur a laccueil. Il surveille ton auto. La randonnée est environ 1h allé-retour. Préférable darriver tôt. Tu vas tout droit il y a un sentier, parfois tu dois traverser la petite rivière et continuer sur le chemin ce nest pas très bien identifié, mais si tu suis le sentier tu devrais bien ten sortir. La cascade est a coupé de souffle. Eau claire

UPDATE Jan 2021:Came back to this spot two years later, it was just as beautiful as ever. Still hard to figure out where exactly you park your car, you will pass a few dry riverbeds in your four-wheel drive before you get there, so keep going until you see a little house with a Coca-Cola sign on it with a small parking area.Youll pay the guy 1,000 colones per person, have exact change and or leave the rest as a tip.Its a very rocky and watery walk, fine to do in sandals like chacos or tevas, but not in flip-flops, and not for people who dont have good balance. Other than that, its easy with not much incline.2020: Had a gorgeous waterfall and its pool to ourselves on this short hike through a jungle. This is an awesome spot for those staying on the Nicoya Peninsula who want to see a different ecosystem without having to drive 3-4 hours inland. Definitely get written directions from a local or your hotel manager, the road in to this trail is a little unclear at points, and Google/Waze doesnt quite have the location right. When you drive up to a cluster of buildings where the road narrows, thats where you park. We gave 2000 colones to park and the gentleman there showed us where the trail starts, I dont think we wouldve seen it otherwise. Its probably a 30 minute drive on a gravel road from the main road coming out of Jicaral. Wear tennis shoes and plan to walk through the streams (so bring back up shoes for afterward!Highly recommend!

Un lieu fabuleux pour les amoureux de la nature, lauthenticité et la simplicité. ¡ Pura Vida !

Lugar hermoso con cascadas en todo el recorrido hacia la catarata . Caminata corta apta para niños inclusive. Se camina por partes en Río y por otras en bosque .La catarata Velo de Novia es bellísima .Si paga en ASEPALECO , cobran $6 por persona, incluye un seguro y mapas en forma digital , si paga en el lugar solamente 1000 colones de entrada al señor que cuida los carros .No hay ruta en Waze o maps clara . Puede preguntar a las personas en el Centro de Jicaral por la Reserva , así le llaman, ya en ruta no hay como perderse pues es un camino unico hasta llegar ahí .

Es demasiado bonito para turistear, el guía es demasiado bueno, y conoce mucho sobre la flora y fauna local!

Cerro escondido ha sido un regalo. Desconexión total y disfrute de la naturaleza más pura.

Este lugar es inspirador, tiene ríos cristalinos y frescos. El mirador cuenta con hermosas vistas a al Golfo de Nicoya. El Albergue Cerro Escondido, es un lugar ideal para descansar y conectar con la naturaleza de la zona central de la Península de Nicoya.

Lugar muy bonito relajante aire puro bosque, aves, rio con agua cristalina y mirador al Golfo Nicoya. Es un viaje que a quien q le gusta la naturaleza no se lo puede perder.

Es hermoso, la comida exquisita, el personal que atiende demadiado atento y amable. Es definitivamente un precioso lugar para descansar y relajarse

Bonita experiencia y paisaje

Beautiful nature in an abandoned place.This is a secondary forest build on a preciously farming land. People there are buying the land and letting the forest grow again. There live many wild animals, including ocelots, hawler monkeys, anteaters, white-nosed coati, and many birds.

Hermoso lugar

Im conducting biodiversity research here and volunteering around the reserve as needed, it is amazing. The reserve works with the local community to preserve the natural areas in the mountains, there is such anrich ecology here, so many animals and plants to see. The food is prepared by the workers and it is so delicious, they are even teaching me new recipes. And if you like your tea or coffee sweatened you are in for a treat, there is fresh honey from the bees kept here! if you plan to visit Costa Rica you should plan to visit this wildlife reserve.

Super bonito!!!. Los ríos, la caminata en el bosque. Despertarse con los sonidos del bosque. Un ejemplo de preservación.

Un excelente refugio muy acogedor y lleno de naturaleza.
