Karahi King - Indian restaurant in Prince George, Canada
Worst experience ever. No customer service by the owner who served us today. Food was cold, glass and silverware’s were not clean. Did not ask for refills and the owner never came for check back. First and last visit. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎worst place to eat in the town as the owner doesn’t know how to serve and talk to customers.
Our food took over an hour for delivery. Arrived luke warm at best. Naan bread was ice cold. Ordered a mild meal and its so spicy it wasnt enjoyable. (To clairfy I dont mind spicy food but this was most certainly not mild at all)
Delicious, I had the goat curry with garlic naan and rice. Reasonable price and fantastic food, portion size was perfect for me.
Excellent food at a very good price.
Great flavours and super friendly staff!
Beef briyani is excellent. They made it up to my spicy 🔥.Butternaan was really melting.
Great service, lots of options, especially vegetarian dishes. All dishes can be modified for spiciness and staff are good at reccomending dishes
Didnt set well with stomach. Too spicy.
0 taste food . 0 customer service owner was very rude no sense how to talk with customers 😡
I just ordered with skip the dishes and the food was useless. It tastes really bad and the pranthas were all burnt.
Ordered lamb karahi, ended up getting veggie karahi with literally too little lamb inside. We were two adults and two kids and kids don’t eat Indian food. Gravy was a lot but almost no lamb. Taste was also pretty ordinary.
Worst Indian food experience ever. If given an option, I would have given zero rating..Who put green peppers in biryani? garlic naan sucks and chicken do payaja bad taste.
The food was fresh extremely flavorful and so so so good definitely recommend!
Best meal I’ve had in awhile. Everything was a 5 star except the butter chicken had like 6 small pieces of chicken. But the sauce made up for it ,so good
Today I had the butter chicken, naan, rice and papadums. Everything was good! Will order from there again!!!
Doesn’t like the food neither service, waited 10 min for one roti and at the last he served cold roti not even warm :(
I have wonderful experience of eating at Karahi King resturant. As they have some very delicious dishes such as Manchurian, Veg samosa, Garlic naan and Chicken korma. Also, the price was reasonable as well and I recommend everyone to visit this resturant. As the dishes and food is just adorable
This is one of our go to spots in town - always delicious and quality food for takeout or dine in. The owners are incredibly nice and always make us feel like valued customers - I cant recommend this food enough.
The service and food is amazing. I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in Prince George and this one is by far the best. This place is definitely a hidden gem in Prince George.
Food is awesome and the service is good. Never disappoints
A friend and I had dinner here tonight and it was amazing as always. The food is so flavourful and delicious we dont go anywhere else. And the owners are wonderful people who we really enjoy seeing.
I visited that restaurant yesterday. The siting arrangement is well settled. I ordered malai soya chaap, malai kofta, garlic naan and butter chicken. Everything was good. My friends loved the food as well. The service was also brilliant. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in BC.
We always order paneer methi and Malai kofta this time decided to order something different so ordered palak kofta. It was delicious. One of my favourite Indian restaurant in town.
They don’t care about customer service at all. I called and asked you posted you have malai chaap and its not showing up on the menu, the guy didn’t knew and then asked for 18$. After i asked how can I order and why is it so expensive than tandoori chaap, the lady in the back said because they did not had any leftover and have to prepare extra. After that the guy didn’t even heard my answer and hung up. Worst customer service
Visited with our family for lunch on our anniversary but our experience was really bad.customer service was really bad and food quality was really bad. Veg biryani was a really bad.
Ordered jalfrezi thinking that it will be actually jalfrezi. Hated it so much. It was like just boiled carrots and green pepper. And overpriced too. Aaloo paratha was like with minimum stuffing. I would rather call it plain paratha. Please deliver what we pay for.
Worst food. We oder paneer chilli and malai kofta. Both r disappointing. We throw all food in garbage and oder pizza. Nevertry.
Went recently and the food quality quantity and taste is very poor and very disappointed .GOL GAPPA 🤮And this is what u get form save on food for 5$ and the same thing is here for 13$doesn’t make any sense.i would recommend never go there trymild chilliormadras cafeyou wont regret it ..
Best garlic naan, lamb korma, karahi paneer, average fish pakora. Will surely recommend everyone to try, best Indian food in long time.
If you like ordering take out by phone and waiting at the till for 15 minutes before someone comes to greet you. Then waiting another 15 minutes because the food wasnt ready even though they said it would be ready in 20 minutes when you called. Then getting home and finding out they got your order wrong and several items you paid for are missing. This is the perfect restaurant for you. Not to mention they charge way more than the other Indian restaurants in town, and give smaller portions and worse service. It is baffling how they take so long to prepare dishes yet still somehow undercook them.
Absolutely disappointed with this, they charge alot more than they should, and the equality was absolutely not the dish we ordered. There are much better restaurants in prince george if you wish to enjoy South Asian cuisine.Save your self the money and taste buds from here.
Very friendly service and incredible food ☺️. My life was colored by the flavours I had here🤗 its become my go too for a celebration and treat
A gem in the rough. The missing star is merely because of the location/building. Not the prettiest spot but the food is genuine and delicious! I order from skip the dishes often. My favorite place in town for Indian.
Worst Indian restaurant I ever been to. Guys this is not what Indian food taste like. This place is a shame on Indian food. I took my non Indian friend first time there with excitement after looking at their menu online but it was a huge disappointment. Amritsari kulcha is not at all like what they serve cuz I am from Amritsar so you cant trick me for that. We also ordered Munchurian which was raw as well on top of that Biryani was another joke. Very disappointed.
Ordered Chicken Malai Methi and a Garlic Naan, portion and taste was good, I would have given 5 stars if salad was offered as with Indian dishes it is must.
This is so far the best Indian Food i ever had in British Columbia. I’m a truck driver and getting this quality of food whilst driving on highway, JUST WAOOHH !!! Skip#275023154
It’s my Birthday today and I wanted Indian food and once again the food my husband picked up and brought home was just fantastic. We are extremely lucky to have this restaurant in Prince George, thank you!!!
Excellent straight forward authentic Indian food, if you need a break from the pretentious "trendy" PG restaurants like NancyO and the others that deteriorated, raised prices and are under the impression that they are doing you a favor by selling you food
I ordered ahead for a set time, and they were just boxing it up at the right time when I arrived. The food was well packed, and survived the travel process without spilling. The food itself was fresh, hot, and tasty. I had the lamb Rogan Josh. While I would never recommend eating old food to somebody else, the leftovers were actually still good 4 days later. 🙃
They were so accommodating to my vegan dietary restrictions! So many vegan options! This is BY FAR, the best Indian Cuisine I’ve had in Prince George, BC. I won’t be going anywhere else! I highly recommend it! So much flavour!!
That was...amazing!! We love Indian food and Karahi King did not disappoint! This was our first visit; we had the calamari and vegetable pakoras as appetizers. Both were delicious. Then we had ordered the dinner for four, which came with tandoori chicken, chana masala, lamb curry, butter chicken and vegetable biryani. Everything was delicious. The chana masala was a little more heat than I would have liked, but it was so good. Brought leftovers home to enjoy for lunch tomorrow!! Thank you Karahi King for a delicious meal!
We ordered chat paapdi for pickup as we were in hurry. the person on call said 20 min. but we were ok with it. after half an hour I was there the order was still not ready waited 5 more minutes. finally we got the food. when we started to eat, all we could taste was chat masala(spice). didnot even eat the whole thing. Paid just to eat the stupid spice. Horrible food, poor customer service. Time to go somewhere else.
Beware of the spice level here. We ordered our food mild, being aware that we are at an Indian restaurant and that food will be spicy. Still, the "mild" food burned our mouths off. I could not finish my meal or taste any flavour besides the chili peppers. I have gone to Indian restaurants for years, including in Malaysia and Thailand, and this is rarely a concern for me and my partner.
We have a couple other Indian restaurants we usually go to that are closer to home, but this is a great option. And, I discovered it is consistently an award winner too. The food was very flavourful, and quite delicious. I will definitely visit them again
Went to the business upon their opening. Was make to feel like I was inconveniencing them. Ordered food to go. The Calamari and the lime was dried right out and for first of the day that is the last thing one would expect thus making me wonder about the freshness of the rest of the food. I also ordered the buttered chicken and threw it away as it really smelled off.
Delicious food, very good selection of Indian dishes! We had 5 dishes and it was amazing, some of the best Indian food in town and that is not without some significant competition! Picked up our order 20 min after making the call.
We ate here in August, 2015 and it was excellent. I travel a great deal for business and try out Indian restaurants wherever I go. Amazingly, this place in Prince George stands out as one of the very best. My girlfriend was here with me, and she strongly agrees - and she grew up in Kathmandu and works at an excellent Indian restaurant in Anchorage.
The food was pretty good. My issue lay with the service. Despite the restaurant being not busy the whole time I was there, I was ignored for most of my meal. My questions about the wine were met with a brand but not the grape, and the server seemed far more eager to push more wine on me than refill my water. Decor and music were very nice, I just wish there was better service for the cost. Maybe it was an off night?
The best authentic Indian cuisine I have ever had. Amazing service too. The dinner for two was more like a dinner for 6. My wife and I had two full plates each and there was left overs for two to three more plates. Not a bad thing to say about these guys :)
This place is incredibly delicious! Underwhelming decor but the food is so, so good. I just moved to PG from Vancouver, and this is honestly better than any Indian food I have ever had in Vancouver, which is saying something because there are a lot of Indian restaurants there.Their take out is really fast too - 20-25 min for a big order!
