It is Belar river near mokhi gate of kanha national park
Nice experience on Jeep Safari. You have to get permit for entry & also pay for the Jeep & guide. Many animals are seen. There is one Sovenier shop at enterance.
My first ever safari experience and the best ever to remember. The time I spent in the reserve is memorable and the people I met very generous and polite.
Its not a great a place if you visit on off seasons because you’ll rarely see any tigers but you’re gonna enjoy well if you’ll visit in the right time which is April to June.Booking process might look over messed but people will help you out for gypsy(jeepsafari. You’ll get all resorts there and those are fantastic best food is ‘club Mahindra’ restaurant inside its campus.
If you want to experience jungle, and tribes living here. Its the best place. Try to explore some allowed areas of Kanha by yourself, interact with the people living here in tribes. You will find a Different world.
One of the best and pristine forest in central India with great tiger sightings and other wildlife including birds sightings.
The jungle at kanha is the best. Awesome experience n felt refreshed n reenergized
One of the most beautiful forests in the world, one of the most beautiful places in the world, this is not only a national park, it is a paradise, I love this place,,,,,🐾🐾🐾🍃🌿🌱🦁🐦🐯🦅🐗🦉🦂🐬🐆🦓🐘🦒🦌🐓🦜🦚🦃🌴🎋🍄🍁🍂✨
Amazing deep forest. We landed during early rains. Spotted only deers and peacocks. Def worth retreat
Beautiful Saal Forest. One must visit the place to understand the beauty of the place.
Visit at morning hours, chances of seeing a tiger increases, variety of animals and a deep jungle Safari is all kanha is about
Beautiful and well maintained. We rarely get to see such untouched forest. Grassland are so beautiful that it doesnt feel like we are in a reserve forest.
A National park with some beautiful landscapes and more beautiful inhabitants. The biodiversity is awesome. From the little black-naped hare to the massive Gaur. So are the birds variety. Not to mention the king of the jungle.
Much long & wide, pleny of many kinds of wild animals specially tiger
Its was a peaceful as well as thrilling to watch stay amid the nature and to watch out TIGERS takes the Fun to another level. Resorts were too good facilitated with all the requirements of tourists. Loved it ❤️
The place is very nice. But the officers distributes tickets in Black. I stood in a queue for the bus ticket they said its not ready and will not run the morning but next day they asked for more and gave us the ticket.
Kanha is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and popular park in central India. Its connected by roads from Jabalpur as well as Nagpur which in turn are well connected cities. Known for its picturesque meadows and saal trees, some of which are more than centuries old. Core zones like Kanha, Kisli and Mukki are main attractions. Please plan your trip to Kanha (or any other tiger reserve for that matterwell in advance - at least 2-3 months ahead, else you nay not get permits. Official web site of MP forest department can be used to make bookings or get in touch with resort managements who can arrange safaris. If you want to really explore the place and increase your chances of sighting a tiger, take at least 4 safaris. Of course, nothing can guarantee a tiger sighting and that should not disappoint you as there are so many things in Jungle to watch and feel. I have been visiting Kanha for more than a decade and every time it offers something special. The pictures are from recent visit in May-2022.
With character in the jungle book is it like that without human touch ,the jungle was good and big trees🌲 there are so many animals and variety of birds is here ,but you will have keep patience and keep silent to see tiger and other animals , you mostly seen there reindeer and there are three gatesIn which way you will go here , but I sure is it your luck favor is , so you see the tiger 🐯, but unfortunately most of the tourist not see tiger, because the did not keep silince ,...all is good you can feel you are in jungle as Mughal with your tourist guide , there is one cantine in deep jungle and museum to know about it here past and future about it, also known about it animals how , where , he found in jungle, what he eat , ....so please go and enjoy your vacation with tiger...
I went through Khatia gate. Saw a lot of animals of different kinds but mostly deers. No tiger 🐅 sadly.
If I had one word to describe Kanha, it would be breathtaking. The forest is so so beautiful and majestic and the tours are totally worth it. If u r wildlife enthusiast like me, you will LOVE it. We didnt get to see the tigers, but the rest of the wildlife is equally majestic. Toured the place twice in a span of 5 days, it was just so so beautiful.
The morning safari is the longest Ive done. The guides are very friendly and sharp. Also very cooperative with each other. The forest is beautiful- green even in summer. Lovely place. The museum has some interesting stuff too.
One of the most beautiful jungles in Central India. It’s a must visit if you are in this part of India.
One of the best National Park in India,It has 160+ tigers, chance of glimpses of tigesr is high hereMain Railway station is JabalpurNearest Airport is Dumna AirportFrom Jabalpur it is approx 160 km (Mocha gate200+ KM (Mukki gate)
Its a good place to rejuvenate and spend time with friends and family. The jungle safari is little costly but it is a good one time experience, specially if you get to see the tiger.
A majestic place to be. I have visited the national forest several times now and I hope we can do it many more times. Just love the nature and natural scenes and the lovely picturesque natural beauty all around.
Seeing wild tigers in their natural habitat is a thing to experience yourself. The thrill and pleasure is out of this world. Be lucky to witness this beautiful forest..
This was my first jungle safari and i simply loved it.The forest staff at the gate (the ones who issue gate permitare also very helpful.Guides and drivers are knowledgeable and genuinely put in efforts to help us see the tigers.Would advise booking the safari well in advance.
Kanha National Park is Simply a beautiful, Adventures, Calm and mesmerizing place. morning and evening safari available..please book your permit online. In front of the gate you have pay for jepsy and guide..the morning safari runs 6.30 to 10.30 AM, Evening safari 3.00 to 6.00 PM.. 6 people allowed in one jeep..highly recommend to visit...
Kanha National Park does not require an introduction as such so I am only sharing my experiences . In one simple line it is a much better organized and maintained than what was the expectations.Safaris are planned and booked days in advance. In February 2022 when we visited morning and evening safaris were organised. At sharp 6 the Mukki gate opens so the assembly begins an hour or so in advance. Open jeeps driven by well trained drivers with a guide from the forest department accompanies the naturalist/ leader of each vehicle. They are so well equipped and trained that their eyes dont miss a single movement and their ears not a rustle . They hear and understand the calls of various animals and birds . The best thing is the coordination between the guides and drivers to lead others also to the position where they have sighted an animal. I was truly impressed by the bonding and bonhomie of the staff.Kanha is famous for the tigers and we were lucky to sight one on the first day itself. We chanced upon her sitting in the centre of the road and then she leisurely walked towards a water body . There were four jeeps with tourists and the only sound we heard was the shutters of the camera. It was magical as she roared a few times and then disappeared in the jungle. The Tigress DJ or T 27 has an interesting story which we heard so many times during the four day tripWe also managed to see an elusive animal leopard . Various meadows are so well kept that an assortment of birds and animals gather and graze in harmony. We saw almost all kinds of animals except for a bear in this trip. I have forgotten the count of the number of species of birds that we sighted-- its a paradise.Very thoughtfully restrooms , which were surprisingly immaculately clean, are there in the jungle. An area is assigned for taking meals and using restroom in the region. I was born and brought up in and around jungle as my father was a forest officer but that was ages ago . No comparison to the past as the forest department has utilised science, research and studies to the best possible way and have ensured that man and jungle survive in harmony--- Kanha National park is a perfect example.Would love to go back there once again.
One of the great forest in the Central India.Very dense forest..A good no.of avi-fauna you can get there.Dense saal forest and meadows will mesmerize everybody..
Well lot has been said about this famous jungle in the middle of India. I find it mix and match. Its the second National park or tiger reserve i have visited and i find this one not that attractive as Ranthambor. Ofcourse jungle is beautiful and vastly spread. Trails are long. MPTDC has made safari booking very convenient by going digital. You can book your safari via online website of MPTDC. One can see various animals and birds. Spotted Deers are most common. Suggestion is go for morning safari and have atleast 3 in different Zones. There are 3/4 zones. Its a jungle so its all depends on time. Tiger sightings depend on various factors so if everything goes well you can get to see it. Enjoy the jungle.
One of the best tiger reserves I have visited. The landscape in the park are very beautiful and jungle looks vere serene. Amazing sighting we had.
One of the best tiger reserve of India, located in the heart of India (M.Pits very well maintained good to see government and forest department are doing their job.M.P has got highest number of tigers out of which majority are here although we were not lucky after 2 safaris 🙄 but there are regular tiger sightseeing if you are planning to visit this tiger reserve dont think twice even if you dont get to see tiger you can literally enjoy the dense flaura and fauna of the Satpura range, also kanha has many beautiful properties ranging from cottages to jungle resorts to five star hill properties.Things to note before you plan to visit:- Get the forest entry ticket first before making any bookings.- You can book the passes from mp.forest.online site.- Than from the respective gates you can book gypsy and guide.- Main gate is Kanha and Kisli.l you can also try Sathi gate rest are buffer zones.- there are also night Safari which is equally adventurous.
World famous Sanctuary with more than 130 Tigers and large herds of spotted Deer-Cheetal, Bisons, Barasingha, Neelgai, wild boar, wolves etc. The not so very expensive daytime jungle safaris divided into morning and afternoon sessions are well managed and full of adventure. Guides accompanying each vehicle are very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the Reserve and some of them share their exciting experiences during the safaris. However, sighting a Tiger is termed as a matter of luck, but enthusiasts persist and make numerous visits to get a glimpse of this magnificient animal. Wishing good luck to all Tiger enthusiasts.
Truly mesmerizing experience visiting Kanha Tiger Reserve. We were on a group tour and luckily got the core Kanha Zone in early morning slot. This was the only reason I nodded to join this tour as getting Kanha Zone is tough and that too morning slot. There are 4 core zones: Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarahi and 4 Buffer Zones. It is believed that its easy to spot a tiger in core zones as it doesnt share it boundary with outer world.IMPORTANT - One should go these reserves to enjoy the nature and also respect it at the same time. Glance of tiger is upto luck.GUIDE - They are very helpful and friendly. They all come one by one and sit in all the vehicles along the complete journey.TOTAL JOURNEY TIME - Could vary, ours was 4 hours in total, excluding break at refreshment point. 6:30AM - 11:30AM roughly.RULES - On asking certain questions to our friendly and jovial guide, I came to know that they hold the power to end the trip in case we violate the law of jungle by throwing garbage, making provoking sounds or getting down from Jeep in middle. Also they dont carry any weapons, so in case if someone have unfortunate encounter with Tiger, then all the rights rests with the Tiger King to decide your fate :D (Just Kidding)We were able to spot the majestic tiger called Junior Bajrang which made the journey successful.
Being inside the home of mother nature is always delightful. Glance of tiger is upto your luck. So go there with all your luck for making your day the best. There are good resorts for staying, having food.
Experienced Forest in true sense, as Kanha Reserve is kept that way ... untouched. We had 5 Safaris through Mukki Gate to Kanha Zone twice ..And To Mukki Zone for twice.Very DISCIPLINED safaris are organised by Mp Tourism / Forest dept ... Thorough checking is done to ensure no false or fake booking is done.Guides and drivers are strictly instructed to follow rules. Kanha is the cleanest forest And everyone works to keep it that way.Very dense jungle and meadows can be seen. Sag trees are more in number, along with Triphala tress- Amla, Hirda & Behda ..More than 40,000 spotted deers are there .. Barasinga is a treat to watch.. Sambar, Chital and Black Bug are there .. Indian Gaur, jackal, langoor, peacocks are in abundance. And the main attraction is Tigers.. We could see Neela Nala, DhawaJhandi and Neelam. It also has Souvenir shop inside the forest.
Awsome place for tiger visit it is said tobe the place to see tiger in jungle safari but it all depends on luck factor like in other National park the tigers here are more but it depends on luck I personally didnt saw tiger In my safari visit but maybe you can but it worth try because jungle here is very nice and calm
Overall nice experience, beautiful jungle with plenty of Animals as well as birds.Habitat for BarasinghaLand of MeadowsBest Tiger Reserve in India
One of the best tiger reserves in India, with great safari facility. Enjoy the Sal dominated forest with big grassland patches in between.Go for observing nature and not the tiger as they say Tiger sighting requires shear luck nothing else.
Madhya Pradesh is lucky to have such dense forest. Now Central zone is operational, We got tickets for Khapa Buffer zone. We were not lucky enough to see tiger, still it was worth watching the flora fauna of Jungle, At each and every step there was chances and we followed recent footprints of Tiger, Huge spider webs in the way of roots, The overall experience is enthralling and charismatic. We have watched deers, barking deer, snakes, Junglee Bhensa. and so many birds. If you are planning, then dont go during Dusshehra and Diwali, there will be low chances of seeing Tiger due to rush. Try to book online ticket for core zone before one month.Enjoy staying nearby resort, there are so many good resorts with forest environment to allure your experience.Early morning Safari is always great. Or in hot summer, there are more chances to watch Tiger, since it comes for water near water streams.
It is best place for nature lovers however we were not so lucky to see the tiger still the place was beautifull❤️
Spotting a tiger is a matter of luck but then the probability is pretty high if you do the early morning tour
Some people get lost in a jungle and some go there to find themselves. Its always truly a blissful experiment to connect with nature and feel alive with its energy.Must visit for All.
Taj Banjaar Tola at Kanha is a very Nice place to stay.Staff at Banjaar Tola are very nice to Guests. They give a warm welcome and make us feel homely.Chef Niim Karan Manoj take care of our food time to time.Naturalist Yaju is very friendly and gives good company on walks and Safari.Rooms are well kept time to timeOn the whole best experience at Taj Banjaar Tola.Would love to visit again. Thanks and Regards to All 🙏
It is important to understand zones before visiting Kanha Tiger reserve for better experience. Kanha tiger reserve is divided in two major zones i.e. core zone and buffer zone.Core zone has 4 sub zones: Sarhi, kanha, Mukki and kisliThe core zone is closed for monsoon ( July to Septemberpart of core zone open ups from 1st Oct but all all zone are open by 15th of Oct.Buffer zone has 4 sub zone: khapa, khatiya, phen and SijoraBuffer zone is open all round the year.Chances of get to see the tiger in buffer zone is much less than in core zone. So it is advised to book for core zone specialy khana & Mukki in core zone has highest record of tigher sightings. One can book slots online.Booking starts 120day prior to the date. The cost of gypsy is ₹6,500 for core zone ₹5,000 for buffer zone (max 6 people allowed)Also option of full day safari is available the cost of it is ₹50k per gypsy (max people 4people.(These Price includes entry fee+ guide charges+ jeep rent + service charges)In season i.e from oct onwards, single person slot can be booked online. In off season i.e. monsoon, even for 2 person whole gypsy needs to be booked for 5k.The slots for core zone need to be booked before hand, the solts go full as soon as booking starts in Oct.Got to know from the guide that night safar are going to start from this year onward for core zone, currents it is only limited to buffer zone. What I recommend:Season: Summer (as tiger can be slighted at lakebest for tiger sightseeing but not for leisure. For leisure and tiger sighting winter would be best.Safari: To increase the changes book multiple safari (in kanha, mukki zoneslots before hand, get morning slots and try for first gypsy to enter the gate.Other activity is natural trail walk which costs ₹150 per person plus ₹600 guide charges. Its about 2 km walk in buffer zone. If the sky is clear, one can witnesses various kinds of birds. Jungle is dense and good.
Its really amazing place because its very close to nature. Gypsy riding is definitely outstanding its totally wildlife feeling.I will give only 2 star.Reason- I think i had ride 20 to 25 km around the kanha dense but i saw only deer.
Wished I could see a tiger, Kanha National Park is nestled in the Maikal range of Satpuras in Madhya Pradesh, the heart of India that forms the central Indian highlands.Well preserved and managed .It leaves you awestruck to see this majestic jungle that sleeps during the day and is awake at the night .Spread across 940 sq.km, Kanha National Park is one of the largest parks in Madhya Pradesh where the majestic royal Bengal tigers are found in good numbers and you also get to spot Bison roaming freely in their natural habitat. The Park is respected globally for saving the Barasingha from near extinction. No doubt, it is one of the best managed parks in Asia and a part of Project Tiger.Inside the park you have a museum, canteen and clean washrooms too.
