Kanchi in Luzern

Probably the only Indian restaurant in Lucern. The food is ok and the service is great. Very friendly and feels at home. While I was there almost ever visitor was from the Indian subcontinent including myself. For a minute I forgot I was in Lucern. Great place and definitely returning again.

Indian restaurant in Lucerne, Switzerland 🇨🇭, nice dining place , but not cheap. Has vegetarian and non vegetarian thalis. Plus point . Easy access by bus or by walk for Lucerne central station. Nice shopping area near by.

The food was very tasty authentic Chicken Chettinad and Dal tadka will recommend to try these for sure .. for the rest I will need to visit more to comment 😊

Every thing is perfect, the food, the place and the service. And there is the man his name James he was very nice and kind ❤️

All we ordered was good. They have separate white rice, sambar, rice and curd. Even North indian naan and dal makhani was good. We were tired of eating breads for few days in Europe and finally found good indian restaurant.

Sambar wasnt good. Veg Thali was average. Highly priced for the quantity they serve

Absolutely best Indian restaurant near tourist attractions in Lucern Switzerland. Easy excess by all public transportation. Next to coach parking space... Absolutely suitable for the group booking and any special occasion to arrange here in this restaurant. Walking distance from the Lion Monument. And just few minutes walk from Lucern lake itself. Can easily to be notice when you arrived in the coach parking area. Located on the 1st floor at side entrance next to another Asian Restaurant. The food.... I can say one of the best we have in Lucern. Southern Indian appetite with beautiful ambiance. Taste is perfect. The chef have brought you to taste the best they have to offer here. Friendly and polite staff who always busy to served you at any time. Must consider this Kanchi as its never failed me after few time having my group dinner out lunch here

I accidentally came across this restaurant while on a walkingtour to lion monument and decided to have my dinner. The Veg thali was very good with authentic Indian taste. Special thanks to Daren James who served us and made us feelvery comfortable .Though the prices seem bit high, would recommend for the good food and polite staff for sure.

Food is okay. Menu is a little confusing if you check online and go. They have different menus for take away and dine in. So confirm before you go for dine in. A little expensive compared to other Indian restaurant option available in Luzern.

I usually like Kanchi. We have it here in Baden. Also, had had earlier in Lucerne. But this time it felt pathetic. First of all, they did not have a regular menu. Secondly the new year special menu was just one choice. Thali for 60 CHF. Veg or non veg. Same. Price double, and taste zero. I did not mind shelling out given that I had known that standard but i did not really expect zero taste. And unfortunately we had also take with us our friends, who also found it same like us.

One of your short South Indian waiter (from chennai I guesswas very rude. Being a tourist my phone data package was finished. When I entered your restaurant, as per rules & routine formalities in swiss, he asked me to show covid certificate. I opened my phone and told him to give me wifi password for a minute as I just had my antigen test half an hour back and the report should be in my email by now. Very rudely he said No we don’t have wifi here. Neither you are allowed to dine in without certificate. Such a big restaurant runs without wifi ?? Wow! He was literally making a fool out of himself. Without trying to understand the overall scenario this guy literally spoiled my day by creating unnecessary chaos. Guys, why are you making things complicated? You asked for certificate, I wana show you my certificate. Only problem was my data was finished & I was not able to download the certificate from my email. I had to face such humiliation just for asking wifi? Your waiter was so stubborn that he didn’t even wanted understand my situation & didn’t wanted to listen to me. Then I humbly asked him to call the manager (as he was not willing to listen my problem, he was stucked with his decision that I am not allowed to dine in without certificate). In return he questioned me - why are you so rude to me! Lol! Who was rude to whom decision I leave it on you. After creating big drama I don’t know how he finally agreed to give me wifi connection after mine asking for Manager’s help. I visit swiss every year for holidays and I am your regular customer who use to visit your restaurant just to enjoy Indian Cuisine. But after this kind of humiliation I am never gona visit your restaurant again in my life.

Ordered Indian vegetarian food. Had authentic taste. The food was piping hot and fresh. Good ambience. Would definitely go there if we visit Lucerne again.

Got some take away here it was great. Would have loved to stay. But I had people waiting for me. The place looked great and the people were very friendly and polite. The food was great. Very fragrant and savory. And for a take away meal very complete. With 2 sauces and and a yogurt/whip cream like sauce and complementary cracker like things.

Good food, nicely decorated place, and prices are reasonable for Switzerland. My only complaint is that the atmosphere inside the restaurant felt too somber...kinda depressing background music and servers seemed too serious. Food was definitely delicious though!
