Kanchanjangha View Point in Ilam

I dint saw kanchanjangha for cloudy day, but I hope you can see and these place is also very good place.

It is just awesome. Cant explain by writing something. You need to go atleast once in your life. Among most beautiful plases I have ever visited this is one of them. It is just like heaven

Overcast/hazy day. Travelled from Kalimpong so traffic not bad and the road repair crews were off. The ride up from 6 mile Post was steep but not too bad. Shame about the clouds.

Kanchanjunga is such a beautiful peak ,always snow capped ,that it allures us again n again to visit it.

You can see the peak only at the morning arround 4:30-5:30 most of the time the view is blocked by extreme amounts of clouds youll have to patiently wait for them to clear for a few minutes and youll able to see the golden glow of the glaciers on the peak due to reflection of sunlight. Enjoy it with hot tea and biscuits and feel the natural ambience.

First, its very tough to reach the view point. After getting off the car you need to walk 15 minutes at least to reach there. Secondly, the gallery that the Government had started to build long long ago seems to be a never ending process. Still its worth all of your pains if you are lucky enough to get a clear sunrise which is very scarce.

A one km trek can transport one to a hill top that offers the untrammelled and breathtaking view of the majestic Kanchanjangha range.And the journey enroute is adventurous as well as exciting.

Rishop is one of the best place to enjoy the scenic beauty of Himalayan Mountain Range. You will get 180 degrees view of mountain range. Kanchenjunga snow peak is well visible from here.

You can shaw a good view of mount Kanchanjangha in a clear day. Although the place has its own beauty

Rishyap is located at high altitude like about 2600 meter & road connectivity not good about 5 km even very nice natural cold place

Good place but charging tariff ₹1400/night which is not value for money as per room. Food is tasty & pretty costly.

We reached there at evening, it was raining, road was unknown and totally bad in condition from Algarah Road. We were driving very cautiously in to the Neoravelly forest to our destination Rishop. We were little bit afraid of the ambience, finally reached without any complications. Next morning I was so happy to see The Kanchenjungha from our hotel room, through the window, I was lying on bed at that moment, there was raining outside. At the time I saw kanchenjungha covered with cloud, I just jump from bed and sat on the Chair to enjoy the view. I didnt want to miss any moment. One thing I didnt say, total journey was buy bike.

very good place to watch kanchenjunga at Rishop. cold place. nice to stay. but the road is nasty. alltime cloudy. rarely u can watch total peak.

This place has the best view at sunrise. If the sky is a bit clearer you can see the whole kanchanjangha view from the top.

If its a clear sunny day, the mesmerizing view of Kanchendzongha range will leave you with a life time experience that u cant express in words

There ve no camera in this universe which one give you like your eyes.So u should visit this place as soon as possible. best quite and best for honeymoon.

Mesmerising ....the view from the hotel is amazing

This is a mind blowing view point. Im my little experience with the Himalaya, I cannot give you a better view point of Kanchendjonga other than from Sandakfu. It is mesmerizing to see the peak almost just outside of your window. I would also suggest to book hotel Himalayan Hut in Rishap because this one is practically the last hotel of the ridge and absolutely nothing but the endless mountain range between you and the peak. in the no moon season three night sky and the horizon get absolutely mixed with each other to give you an to give you a hallucinating effect where you cannot definite the horizon. Its a must visit guys...

This place provides great views of kanchenzonga on a clear day, but unfortunately when we visited it was very foggy blocking the view completely. The chilling weather with mist floating around and colourful flowers here and there created the perfect environment to sit quietly and get lost in the beauty of nature. Vehicles usually charge Rs 900 to 1000 for sightseeing that includes Deolo hill too.

Main attraction of Rishyap. To watch the whole Mt. KANCHENJUNGA wake up relly early at morning. Nearly at 4:30 a.m and watch the mystic endevour getting unfolded in front of your eyes.

Excellent on the road place to be mesmerised but the beautiful Kanchenjunga... No need to climb or anything. Next to Lepcha jagat main road.

We reached the view point by own Maruti Alto Car. Route is amazing to describe. New construction for viewing Kanchenjunga is being built at Tiger Hill view point from WB Govt.

Lovely place to view kanchanjangha. Big area covered from here. From lava it take 1 an half hr. Road is not good condition but too much adventure.

Tiffin Dara view point of Rishyap offers beautiful view of the Kanchenjunga peak if the weather is clear. One have to walk about one kilometre from the main road for reaching this view point. The scenic beauty of the road is wonderful.

This was a view from my hotel room in sonar bangla darjeeling. Amazing place to be. Kanchenjunga is so beautiful in the morning. U can a series of shades of the mountain. A sure place to visit for travel enthusiasts

Beautiful place, but bear in mind that in monsoon youll only have about a 30% chance of viewing the Kanchenjunga, since the skies are cloudy.

Awesome place but didnt saw Kachenjanga because of clouds but awesome experience and people visiting Rishop and adjoining areas must visit it.One caution is the place is filled by blood sucking leeches so be careful

What a lovely view..180° view of the 3rd heights range of Himalaya... kanchanjugha..and sleeping buddha also...

Amazing view and a very nice weather but I may suggest that do visit in clear weather and avoid rainy season coz if you do then because of clouds you will be unable to view the actual mesmerizing mount kanchanjunga.

Great vantage point, but weather not always good!!

Its a good place to visit . You can see the sun rise and the kanchanjangha . I will advice you take warm clothes if you are visiting the place between November to March . You need reserve a car for yourself and you should reach the point by 4:30 am or else you wont be able to see a clear view of the sun rise and Kanchanjangha . You can also carry binoculars .

Nature came here with full of his beauty , the view of kanchanjangha is beyond words.

Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world. The view from the Kangchenjunga View point of Rishop is mesmerizing. In sunny day you can see the orange colored mountain during sunrise and at the time of bad whether(cloudyyou may able to see Kangchenjunga covering under the clouds.

Come here on October-November month. Weather remains calm and cloud free. With a little bit of luck, you can see the entire range of Kanchenjunga along with other 4 peaks, and Nathu La pass!
