Depending on the staff there some of them are meh. Otherwise its amazing. Great with the kids who want to be independent and order their own food. The chefs definitely cater to the show for the kids too

Ordered delivery several times. Once they forgot my rice for my katsu. One time they forgot my sauce. Its mostly good, but missing your rice or sauce really sucks. The rock lobster roll pieces are HUGE. Its a good thing if youre eating alone but good luck on a date unless youre proficient with chopsticks. Godzilla roll is always delicious. My husband loves the katsu, but I find it on the bland side. Udon broth is really mild and I like that they package the noodles separately for delivery. Mushroom soup is my favorite. Overall Id give it an 8/10

My first time going was a 5 star experience. My second time not so much. Our cook blatantly gave us smaller portions than the other guests. We had a kids meal compared to everyone else.I didnt want to spoil the moment while out on a date so we decided to pay and gracefully exit. Its unfortunate that I wont be back to this establishment because of this incident.Now its back to Tinley Park I go.

First time sitting at habachi section here the chef Pretty entertaining, the food was really good and loved the sangria. Well come back again.

Horrible experience! Go all the time for lunch and dinner. Came today after not bring her for two months New staff portions are very small to be diner sizes. My vegetables was the last thing we got and my vegetables was burnt!

This place is pretty terrible. The cook was real boring. Not one cool trick, no enthusiasm, no talking. Kept asking when everyone ordered, and still messed it up. This place is small and not clean or fun. Located inside a mall where almost all of the businesses already left.

This was our first time here. Weve been to other hibachi restaurants. The service was good and the chef was very entertaining. We enjoyed the food as well. This was a great choice to celebrate our daughters birthday.

Delicious food! I split a meal with my Fiancée and we both had left overs (and Im usually a heavy eater too).

Not fond of the overcooked vegetables drenched in sauce. And the over cooked shrimp. The service I had last night wasn’t great. I left what I didn’t eat. The rice is the only good part.

Just had my sons brithday dinner here. Jodie, our server, was awesome! The atmosphere at the hibatchi tables is second to none.

Since when did they start adding 18% service charge to your bill for your cook? We had $42 service charge added to the bill and we have always tipped him cash! Wont be going back!

Food is amazing, and the hibachi grill men are hilarious, as well as skilled. The only downside that brought it down a star is the fronting staff (front desk, bar, and things other than hibachitend to come off as rather rude sometimes, to a degree that family of mine wont dine there. In my honest opinion I believe that to only be due to them being foreign (the staff), but just in case Im wrong.

wait time was excessive, but it was valentines day, so thats understandable. the average wait is about 20-30 minutes with a reservation and 45+ without, on a busy day. decent food.

Such a great experience! We did the hibachi with our daughter and her boyfriend. It was so good. Plus, plenty of food for another meal.

It was ok... reservation highly recommended. The chairs have this odd slant forward and are low if anybody has bad knees or back

Portions have been significantly reduced and prices raised..wife ordered lobster which is usually 2 tails..she got one very small tail totaling about 5 bites.. very disappointing.. definitely will not go there as often....if at all

Food came out sporadic 2 of of 4 of us where done with our meals before the second appetizer even came out. A side came out after we were all done. HORRIBLE TIME MANAGMENT. If your not interested in the hibachi experience dont bother the reg dinning side is just an afterthought! Then the cake topper was MOLD in the bathroom 🤢🤮

The staff can sometimes seem short or maybe impatient? Maybe I read too much into it, but they work very quickly, the presentation is awesome, and you definitely get what you pay for. A great place!

We enjoyed hibachi. We tried chicken, steak, shrimp and filet mignon. It was great! The service is always good and it is always fun to watch the hibachi grill! We love coming here so we will be back again. We have come here multiple times and celebrated date nights, anniversaries and birthdays. We recommend trying!

This place used to be awesomeUntil last night. The hostess was absolutely rude calling her a "B" would be being nice. Then they all took their time serving us after an issue with the hostess which is fine because we supported this business since they opened birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and family reunions as well as all through during the pandemic. But that was our last time being there.The chef gave no real presentation at all no interaction not even with the other people who was sat at the hibachi with us. Why I left no tip left a message for the waitress to get it from the hostess.Bye Bye KanSai

Excellent! Great place to go with family for fun and food. First time there. Loved it. Definitely would go again. The food was excellent. Made right in front of you. Chef was very fun and an excellent cook.

Had my daughters Sweet 16 party, this place was perfect. They allowed us to pick 3 menu items. They were very sweet and the waitress was perfect and efficient. The food was very good. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Not really a fan of hibachi, so perhaps my 3 stars isnt completely fair. Its okay. Others in my group the last time I visited seemed to enjoy the entertainment and all that fried rice. I opted for sushi deluxe.

The hibachi chef was awesome, waitress not so awesome. Waited 15 minutes for a beer refill and didnt even get our sushi that we ordered before we even ordered our main course. Food was good but need to work on the wait staff

Really disappointing service. No entertainment at all no refills on drinks. Was told due to short staffed. Yet other tables got the whole nine yards. To boot it was our 6 year old birthday dinner. She wanted to come here from what she remembered the service being before!

I ordered some sushi and some noodles to go. They told me 26-30 minutes. Took me 35 minutes to get there. My warm food was ready (and a side salad just steaming right along with it in the bag), but now, 30 minutes later, I still am waiting on my sushi. So when I do get the rest of my order, my warm food will be cold. Awesome*update* waited for 40 minutes for the rest of my order. My miso sup was subbed for onion. My ginger dressing was subbed for ranch. No one told me this, I just found out when I got home. Will never go back.

I made a reservation online for our anniversary. it wasnt crowded. It was a weekday and we went early. We were socially distanced. 6 at our table. Our chef was hilarious! Everyone got sake shots. We had a great time. Thank you.

Omg... Love love the shrimp n steak platter. I enjoyed watching them cook everything in front of you. Our party of 12 was very pleased with the cook. Our waitress was having a bad night but we got her in a better mood so she was better... Just the overall experience was pleasant.. Will be coming here regularly.

Kansai is a nice place to go. The cooks are friendly and positive. A serving is big enough to have left overs for later. The soup is really good! They are a little busy lately but its worth it. However, the chairs are oddly short and make you feel small.

This place is awesome. Good food especially the steak and shrimp combo. Chefs are entertaining and cook your food right at the table. Its expensive but worth the money hands down. Havent tried anything that wasnt cooked on the grill in front of me but Ive heard the sushi is amazing as well.

I have been here several times but this time we decided to go on Christmas day. The hibatchi was excellent as always. However, I was more thankful for the fact that they were even open. It is a national US holiday and they couldve cashed in on that and had the day off and been closed. But, they didnt do that. And everyone was so wonderful and in a great mood. Someone even had their birthday there! The service was fantastic. Our waitress was beyond on point. Thank you for taking such great care of us!!

First and foremost The sushi Guy was excellent. He made Martini sushi, he said that was a great first step into sushi. I ate it all! Scrumptious.Bad part, I ordered the beef fried rice which was suggested. 😝 Very little beef specs and the rice was unfortunately super hard.Again The sushi Guy would get five stars (super nice tipbut the food on the other side was horrific, price was decent the food just tasted old.

Its always a wonderful experience getting Hibachi here. The chefs are fun, entertaining, and witty. I do however wish the waitresses had a bit more work ethic. They typically sit at an empty hibachi table and play on their phones or stand at the bar and talk amongst themselves. Just about every time I go in for a meal here, especially hibachi, I dont get a refill for my drink until Im waving them down for them to come to my table. Same with removing the dishes from appetizers or the clear soup and house salad bowls, they sit there the entire time the chef is cooking and sometimes theyre just not removed in general until after we leave. Very small space to have to many empty dishes. Otherwise the food is great, the atmosphere is fun, and the prices are acceptable for this type of establishment. Ill continue to come back for the hibachi chefs and hope to see improvement in the waitstaff.

Portions are huge and chefs are good. Very tasty and affordable hibachi place. However, the place is not the cleanest and the service did not stand up to the atmosphere.

We had a birthday lunch here and enjoyed a delicious hibachi meal. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was very tender. Shrimp was fantastic as well. Would definitely recommend for a fun and entertaining experience.
