Kan Zaman - Restaurant in As Salt, Jordan
Cozy and family friendly bar and restaurant.
They have the best events... great place very clean and so much fun
They never never answer the phone! Their pages on social media have all wrong information, no updates no nothing!!!
Came here for dinner, was here a few years ago. They’re closed. The pub next door said they have been closed for over a year.
Happy hour everyday from 12-6 pm 50% off. Lovey view, very tasty food.
on Feb. 2020, we have booked and paid a down payment for an event in August, 2020, which never occurred due to Covid 19 pandemic and lockdown. The Management made many false promises that they will return the down payment back. After One year and 3months, still they did not pay it back or bothering to answer our calls.
The place is very nice and amazing atmosphere but the food and wasnt equal to the price, very expensive
Traditional Arabic Resturant located a bit away from main city but place is quite with nice city view. Decor & seating is good. Most unique thing is presence of grilled food cooking area in centre of restaurant with a huge chimney vent above it so no smoke or smell is felt inside the hall. Food menu is traditional Jordanian Cusine with grilled food as main course. Aroma & taste is excellant with quick & good service. Place is good for all.
The place is beautiful and the decor is great. Seating is comfortable. It is far from the city. Parking is good. Quaint. Food is so so. Live music adds to the charm. Service is okayish. They dont bother to refill food. So overall good experience but food isnt special anyhow. A good drive and romantic charm.
Taste of food and mood of restaurant. Everything was perfect. Especially, rose smell of desert was very nice. if i have a chance to visit Jordan again, Kan Zaman would be the to-go restaurant. You will realize that you can eat the food with your nose.
Food is amazing very tasty but service, waiters staying around your table which isgood but bothering they keep checking on you each 5 mins and you cant enjoy the place or conversation
Nice place. But 2 years ago all the staff and dishes and meal had been much better than now. Something changed. Not the same. I dont want anymore to go there.sorry.
Nice restaurant placed in Amman area, 30 minutes by car. Good service, clean and fashion facilities. Awesome tipical food. English speaking personal. There is an open grill inside the restaurant, smoking is allowed, wide wines selection. The menu has different traditional local plates and some international.
The food is amazing , the waiters are nice helpful i strongly recommend this restaurant for nice quiet dinner
This was a very nice restaurant. The ambiance was great and the old style decor was really impressive. Great service and outstanding Lebanese and Jordanian BBQ and kebab dishes. We ate till the time we couldnt eat anymore..... would love to go there again and again (will have to watch my weight though because in a restaurant like this, one tends to grossly overeat). Loved the way shisha was offered to us at the end, along with dessert and Arabic coffee (gahwa).
Excellent food. Average service. Pricey a bit. Entertainment is average. Place needs to pay attention number of people attending customs.
Originally the place is historical as an Archeological Building. Its now a restaurant offers a middle eastern food and More . I didnt enter inside, just came early in the morning ( Dawn time to get a high Quality photos.
The food was good, the deserts were amazing! Especially the Kunefe was the best. The service was really kind and were always around to make sure everything was ok. Price wise they are pretty decent but they do add al sorts of additional fees (for tobacco, for non-alcoholic beverage, for parking the car, for which we paid additional JOD when leaving the building etc.We tipped them but they also include service charges so thinking back that wasnt nessesary. However, the experience was amazing.
Nice atmosphere but its hot! I only liked the appetizers, specially muhammarah, main dishes cold, staff and service was terrible, overpriced and not match with quality of food and service at all, 55 jd only for 2 persons!
Kan zaman is a beautiful out of town place that usually hosts parties on occasions like Christmas, St Patrick’s, etc.I really love the idea of this place and whenever there’s an event it’s bustling with music, amazing food and drinks.Local and foreign bands come to play during the events and it’s always so much fun!
The restaurant decor and building is beautiful, but the most important thing is we are coming to eat. The restraint at dinner time wasn’t full when we arrived was not full very few tables, one waiter then the place started to fill up still understaffed. We ordered the food.Appetizers and bread were good, salad portions small. They food was brought slowly the sautéed vegetables were raw, kebab salty and the meat wasn’t any good, steak was brought cold meat not the best.Overpriced food meals are not even average.I complained to the manager he was polite and gave a discount, but unfortunately 75% of the food wasn’t good.I would go back there for hummus and mahmara and tea and to enjoy the place.Food will not eat there a main course.
What not to like about this place ?? The food, great. The setup, great. Service , more than great. Authenticity is there ... you can sit in a quite place or within a crowd and enjoy live arabic traditional music on weekend nights... I love this place.... highly recommend.
Food is OK.. But not great.. Ambiance is good though.. But I find the place they designated for praying is more of a joke.. men and women are praying together at the same place! It is like they dont have a clue about the Islamic faith which is a bit surprising for a place in an Islamic country..
Not as I expected, the food is below average the service also the same, not recommended
Beautiful restaurant. The food was terrible and overpriced. The atmosphere was not lively. Service was not good. This restaurant was highly recommended by family who visited previously and clearly it has gone down hill. The shrimp was horrible. Cold and rubbery. Not the shrimp on display. We should have sent it back. $28 US for 6 shrimps, no sides.
Loved the place, great ambience. The food was good, lovely music. We pretty much ate the appetizers, didnt really try the meat and chicken. Nice to go there with a group of friends. But I must say, I missed how it used to look like back in the 90s it was authentic. Where your were able to take pictures and dress in Bedouin clothes, and see how they make the sand in the bottles and glass, and home-made bread. They should have that back... Kids will look forward to that.
Atmosphere was very good... Food and Service were good... Prices are fine...This place does definitely has a remarkable atmosphere... Being a rejuvenated stone castle-like building that was originally built at the Ottoman era as a farmers storage and market hub with estables...It absolutely gives a sense of the local heratige and culture though not being an important historical landmark such as most of Jordans archaeological scene. As we went at sunset for dinner we couldnt really see the view, which wouldnt have been that easy to gaze at while sitting due to the elevated wall obstructing it... Still, you would be pleased with the plantation in the outdoor section. The food was good though not the best of its category. Though it would still count as delicious in terms of experiencing middle eastern grills and appetizers. The service was very good, everything was clean and neat, staff were friendly, nice and responsive. The place is a bit over the avarage price for the same kind of food, which is still justified by the location and the service. There was a place for praying. The washroom was clean and functional, with enough space. Soap and paper towels were available as well.
Very wonderful atmosphere and food. Highly recommended!
Delicious food excellent service and atmosphere
Best place to have a nice time with your family, friends.., the food is delicious and excellent staff, I highly recommend it
First of all i will tell you the experience i had in order, the entrance is a bit weird, we got in the main door and were faced with 2 directions, right and left, didnt know where to go for a second but then figured out that the resturants main hall was on the right, as we sat down, we ordered "mashawi" the kebab was splendid and great in flavor, the meat and "sheesh" were great too, the appetizers were really ok and the fries were very avarage and oily, the service is great and the food came fast, the veiw inside was absolutely breathtaking, gave you the feeling of royalty dining in the halls with their subordinates.Overall the food, service and design were great and recommended, but it is pricey so be prepared for that.
Great experience with special food & Drinks in a festival atmosphere
I liked the atmosphere, but with respect to the prices.... Quite Exaggerated (a glass of lemon with mint cost 5 JOD = 7 USD).
One of the must visit places in Jordan. The view everywhere was stunning. Theres something special about eating in a castle. Food is extremely tasty although the seafood has a highly abnormal smell. But what do you expect when youre in the middle East. Top choice quality lamb and beef.
Delicious Lebanese food. The place is a bit distant from the main road. Cozy environment with live music. They make kunafeh in front of you while you sit and enjoy the music.
Great food and service, a bit expensive
THE BEST MIDDLE EASTERN/MEDITERRANEAN FOOD IN AMMAN!! If you are looking for a restaurant to impress your friends and family then Kan Zaman is the place!!! The food, atmosphere, service and presentation was absolutely superb!! Its nice that you can enjoy the gorgeous venue or beautiful garden if you choose to eat outside. The restaurant is located at the top of a hill with nice views and away from the hustle and bustle of the city which is an added bonus!
The food was good but can be better.. I was invited so I cannot rate the the value for money. I like the setting and the seating outside was also nice
Stunning place for lunch or/and dinner with great food options and wide variety! Entertaining and amusing music, some times even live! We really enjoyed our dinner there! We also appreciate our desert, Kanafeh, being prepared in front of us!
Went here for the first time last week with my family, parents, & inlaws for a big gathering. The restaurant has an excellent reputation among locals but it seems our luck wasn’t right that evening. The food seemed mass produced & lacked personality. Not what I had expected from the recommendations I had received. That’s why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 if the food was better. On the bright side the place is spacious, has an old stone tavern feel to it. The ambiance, & service were very good & up to expectations. There’s a spacious out door terrace with a beautiful live wall.Overall I would recommend the place for its unique feel. After all it is a renovated old stone building & locally is considered to be among the top 5 restaurants for posh dining.
Traditional and historical place, good food, nice music and awesome view
Great place. Food was delicious, Atmosphere was fun, and service was good.Prices are not bad for what is offered. Was going to order dessert, but they have us a free one (actually 3).Less than 50 for two of us (apps, mains, tea).
Arabic cuisine restaurant located outside the city of Amman. The place has a good decoration and spacious venue. The food is fine and the service is friendly and attentive. Recommended
If like to feel the local deep life Style Touch....If you like to try the real delicious Tastes of middle Eastern types Of foods. If have to choose your friends, Family-friendly place live events To have a nice dinner ...yes ...
Amazing lebanese mezza and grills. Service is great and atmosphere is cozy. Highly recomended for dinners during week days, but very busy on lunch time st weekends... reservation is recomended
Very nice place out of town. Decor and atmosphere are perfectly Jordan. Food and service were excellent.
Lovely ambience. Beautiful place. All make up for small servings.
great restaurant with amazing view, food and service. it is good for families and friends. it is better to book beforehand if you want to sit outside and enjoy the view.
The food and environment are 5 stars especially with the new operator. It is also a very warm and cozy place that was built by traditional way ( the mud and stoneby a family that used to feed all people passing this way who were traveling for trade.
the place has several restaurants, one of the forefront is in a cave-like ambiance, giving you a nostalgic feeling. the music is agreeably background, giving you room for conversation. the food is delicious and varied, and as a closure, a chef came and made-in-front-of-your-eyes knefeh (arabic sweetas well as an assortment of fruits and other sweets. the service is very welcoming and gentle. the staff is friendly and patient.
