A hot spot for photos, this cheerful village offers colorful houses with funky decor & public art.
Kampung Tridi in Singosari
Description
Privilege
Cool social project, amazing to see. Have to pay entrence in all 3 villages
Just nice to walk trough for 15-30 min. 15k entrance
Absolutely beautiful! 🤩You will love the colorful murals, buildings and decorations all over. There is not one specific attraction, but so many hidden details all over. I can only recommend getting in touch with the lovely community, try some local food and take your time to explore more than just a good Insta photo spot! 📸 😉
MoreOk
Entrance to this funky part of the town for 5k rp - fun to walk around and see the artwork, colour and life in this village. Worth the time and fee - enjoy.
MoreIts a unique place to take pictures. So I recommend you to come with friends or family. They have a glass bridge that connect kampung Tridi with KWJ, and its exciting to take pictures up there (if you are not afraid of height). I suggest you to come in the morning or afternoon before sunset to avoid the heat.
MoreHospitality from local people. Many stairs. Small alleys. Snack and souvenir. Photo spot. Kampung Tridi and Kampung Warna Warni are stand alone ticket. They connected by Glass Bridge. @5k we get sticker from the official.
MoreYou have to visit this place if you go to malang, this place is the most famous tourist destination.
MoreUnique and colorful village which located in the center of Malang city. The area itself near to bridge and river. It quite difficult to find car parking, so it is not recommended if you ride car.I came early at 6am, there is no ticket officer there. The place is also still quite and people there are still staying inside their home.Their signature location is “jembatan kaca”. They have clear direction for visitors to find the bridge. They have various photo spots, people who like to take photo will love this place!
MoreRecommend place for take a picture instagramable
Actually, this place is good enough to be one of the tourist locations that must be visited while in Malang. You can take pictures with paintings in the houses of residents. With the entrance ticket in the form of a non-paper key chain being one of the main attractions for this place and making interesting souvenirs. The entry fee is also quite cheap at only Rp3.000. However, lately, this place is getting dirty and giving off a bad odor so be prepared if you want to go there so you wont be surprised later.
MoreMust to see in Malang. Around 3000 per person to enter in the village. It’s beautiful I really recommand.
MoreKampung Tridi or so call 3D by the local....9ne of destination u should go at Malang...
MoreA must see attraction in Malang. The city has done such an amazing job at making the location be vivid with colors and imagination of the hundreds of mural paintings on every corner. There is a small 2-3K IDR fee in each section but you have to remember these were the slums a few years ago! So nice now. What’s missing are restaurants!Photos Jan 2020
MoreIconic village with friendly local people
The colours transform what otherwise would be a standard village. Terrific artwork, well organized and exciting. Something different in East Java!
MoreTridi village is like colorful village with art space in every wall of them. U can take so many nice pictures and so colorful, also u can see the villagers live in. Right now is the one iconic place in malang. The place also closely from train station and so many transportation if u want to go there
MoreThis rainbow district north of the Brantas river was created following the Warna Wani project. The two kampungs are connected by a footbridge over the Brantas River, so you can easily visit both neighborhoods. You pay a small, negligible entrance fee per neighborhood. Fun, colorful and photogenic. Do not skip if you are in Malang!
MoreFunky and colorful place to walk around and take a hundred pictures. Has several places to eat. Its such a unique a cool idea to transform a part of a city. Many murals and street art. Feels like a maze of colors. Definitely a must visit in Malang
MoreA very beautiful place with some stunning visualization and vision
Good place for taking photos, selfie, very colorful❤3000 rupiah for admission and get free keychains ❤
MoreArtistic view...very different, but it would be better if only pay just once bcoz its in one area...why to enter this village we must pay one village to one village which are in one area? even though the ticket price only IDR 3000 or MYR 1... anyway, this village are so colorful..
MoreSeeing something different from day to day experience is always exciting. And Kampung Tridi is unique, so it is interesting to visit and enjoy the place.
MoreGo there early morning and grab your camera
The Kampung Tridi is an old slum and was totally rebuild. Now, the people request just a little bit of money, but it really is worth every single IDR. (Only 2000 IDR)
MoreThis place is a true example of how an idea, once materialized, can change an entire community. To transform this grey, heavy polluted and hopeless place into a clean, colorful and thriving tourist attraction is just astonishing. It might well be a perfect example for other struggling communities.
MoreSmall area with lot of coloured buildings, there is a cool roof "warung"(small restaurantyou should visit it for a nice view.
MoreInteresting place! So colourful that u can’t imagine that this is a slum! All the colourful murals & deco makes this place special. It’s definitely worth a visit!
MoreA beautiful tourist attraction. A Proved of good marketing to boost the community economy.
MoreColorful village or also called kampung Warna-warni, is a very beautiful place to have photo shooting. Recommend to come in the early morning. You need to prepare some small change of 2000 Rph if you want to go toilet.
MoreI recommend you to take the picture at the bridge on the outside, its really a nice view, but if you want to explore and go inside, you have to bring a bottle of water or you can buy drinks there. Id like to suggest that 9 am is the right time to explore kampung warna warni. Because at 11 its getting hotter
MoreWhat I love about this place is the fact that the people are so nice and very welcoming towards the visitor and the community are very determined to keep the area clean and maintained. The arts are wonderful and you can take a very good selfie or panoramic scene with your friends and everybody else
MoreAmazing place! A entire city part covered in colors and Beautiful creative paintings. The entry is only 3k rp and you get a free keychain in addition. The people around are really friendly. I spent there all my afternoon. Really rocommended!
MoreOne of the creative place, managed by surounding community involved around 500household.
MoreIt is nice to see!! Really colourful. But it makes such a huge contrast with the city that doesnt represent at all Malang. It is a student project to attract tourists to make selfies and you have to pay to enter in the streets. I didnt like it although it was beautiful.
MoreNice place for taking photo... However u have to be clever to find a nice spot... As this is a squatters village....
MoreIve read the history of this village under the glass bridge. You know that its so amazing and inspiring us because we should know that before being like this, originally jodipan was the dirty village, for many people here throw the garbage in the river so the river being dirty. They are many collage students that want to make a project and will be proposed to one company focusing in painting product [ i dont mention it here] and firstly the company rejected the proposal and directed them to make a CSR project. The students asked for the lecturer for guiding them and he advised them to observe one village around Malang.Discussing with all stakehokders here, finally all parties aggreed to change their village become Colorful Village as we know it right now.You know that all incomes that is collected here used by people to repaint once in 3 months. Besides, it is used to pay dustman, souvenir etc. Its called sustainability village and i am totally inspired by this project.Entry ticket is Rp3.000/ personHappy weekend
MoreColourfull and artistic. Lovely people. Great views on the top terrace, especially when trains are passing by.
MoreUnic place and colurfullThe only in Malang regency
Worth a visit. Entrance fee is very minimal and you get a colorful key tag. Village is colorful and you feel like youre in Europe sometimes. Slum turned into a colorful village, thanks to the project done by University students.
MoreThis was originally a slum which due to a university project got turned into a colorful village. It really feels like you are going through a small town in Italy. Locals seem to be very happy even if you venture off to more private streets. You pay 3k to enter each north and south village. The north village is much much nicer and more genuine, seemed to me the south village just jumped on the bandwagon and there is nothing to really see there. But if you want to cross the bridge south you need to pay.
Morea lot spot to take a phote in here, with back ground any wonderfull colour.
Worth to visit. Price for the ticket 3000 ruphias.
I went here with my tour guide (a 19-year old girl waiting to attend collegein January 2018, and that day is a bit cloudy, which is great for photography. She said that this village and the one across the river were in their worst condition- the two villages, Tridi and Jodipan were a dirty, filthy and crowded village. There was an initiative by some local college guys and a paint company to turn this dirty village into a tourist destination- and they did.The village is now so clean and beautiful I couldnt stop taking pictures! Food is everywhere in the village, so are toilets and small shops. There are multiple photo points that you can take great pictures, including the bridge that connects to the next village.PRO TIP: Prepare Rp 4000 per person (OK, I actually forgot the actual fare but really, the fare is worth iteach village, and instead of a receipt, expect a cute handmade keychain upon entrance. Visit the villages in the morning so you can complete the circuit. Toilets are everywhere, fares differ.
MoreI heard from local tour he said this place is based on an idea from students there. They want to improve it so many visitors will come.So far I like the creativity here. Though many things should be improved more
MoreIt really is one colorful small village in malang. The people here is so humble and friendly. You can "infiltrate" the village, taking photos, play with their children, chit chat with the villagers, and they wont treat you like a stranger. Last time i got here, i have to pay 4K rupiah to park and enter this small village, youll also get a nice keychain, so 4K is really not a big deal. I really love being here, this villages vibrant color really made my day. There are tons of instagramable photo spots, id totally going here again later.
MoreIts small Colorful Dowtown Village in Malang, the price ticket is just 3000 ruppi
MoreA beautiful place, a good project, wprth to visit
So beautiful, so colorful..I couldnt stop taking pictures..From what i saw it looked a very nice place, the brightly painted houses was very pleasing on the eye.. We can walk the narrow and winding streets, that art or design was spectacular..The locals are so friendly, very relaxed and helpful..
MoreThis is a very good place to take a walk or taking pictures with your family. There are many kind of painting on the wall. Its nice and colourfull, children would like it. Enjoy
