The quality of the seafood is perfect . Salmon sashimi is tender and fresh , tuna sashimi as well . The chicken and vegetables gyoza are delicious and grilled not a heavy appetizer. I did not like at all the prawn balls ( sort of fried beignets filled with octopus. Waiter should explain that each green starter is charged each 3 euros not for both . The waiter did not tell me the mochi selection available to pick from . The prices are on a high range though … expect around 37 euros on average with a wine and dessert , 2 green tapas and 18 sashimi pieces …
Great Japanese hide away near chateau. Extensive menu and fiendly staff. Great price value!
The food tastes great but the service is inattentive and the prices are steep. I enjoyed everything we ordered and so will you but its gonna be a long time in between visits from your server and itll be like $30 a person easy.
Eating at this place made my whole day ❤️ YUM!
It was a very delicious dinner and the mochis were very tasty and that’s on period👍
Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly service!
Absolutely fantastic. Top 3 Japanese restaurants Ive ever been to. I had a couple sushi rolls which were both fantastic, as well as miso soup (with mushrooms!which was great, and karaage which was top 3 chicken Ive ever had.
Excellent!
I think you need to know what to order before coming here.. it’s good, but a few dishes are risky.
Nice Japanese restaurant, centrally located near the Royal Palace and its gardens. Service is quick, well priced. Food is good, choice is great.
Staffs were kind and the food was good. But, when I poured soy sauce, there were 4 small ants. Maybe there should be more ants in the soy sauce. :(
Sushi were good! But the chicken fried was not that great- if you know what to order you can have a nice dinner..
Great sushi place. The sushi is fresh, and the signature rolls are very tasty. Special mention for the braised salmon sushi, which is heavenly!
Sure its good but not Amazing as I could see on previous comments :(
Kampai for 2 years ago it was better than now, 2 years ago I thought here is the best Japanese restaurant in Versailles. but this time I went and I have ordered small boat and other etc..., sushi was dried it seem like you made it all ready ( like food stays inside fridge a few hours or more before servingand just set on the plate when have customers to order. I understand you have lots of customers perhaps not enough of chefs so...
Great vege roll, nice clean flavours :)
Great Sushi spot of your visiting Versailles! We checked a few others and picked this one. Dont regret it at all.
It was a perfect stay. We very like to eat sushi and sashimi and were fully satisfied in this location. You even can order premium sake which indicates to me a quality Japanese restaurant. The service was very pleasant.
We came here based on the Google reviews after an afternoon at Versailles. We were acknowledged and sat promptly. We ordered the chicken karaage and a crunchy roll. Both of the dishes were adequate but not what we were expecting. The karaage was not from the best cut of chicken and somewhat fatty. The fry was not crispy, but that may be a chef choice. The crunchy roll had a large amount of lettuce through the middle of the roll that made it difficult for a single mouthful and was not satisfying to eat. I would not order either dish again.
One of the best sushi in Versailles. Recommend !
Best kimchi i ever had, the sushi is alsk AAA, afordable prices and a welcoming staff.Highly recommended!
Good quality fish and nice drink menu, but service was slow and inattentive. I wasnt in a rush though, so wasnt a big issue. Overall, quite satisfied and would return
nice stuff!
highly recommend
Very nice place, great food and ambiance
Very good food. The plates were quite large. The service excellent. The staff super nice. Totally recomend it.
Very good sushi with reasonable price. Menu is very big and it takes time to choose some delicuous things. Service "more or less" knows english language, very helpful. Paces outside on boardwalk available with nice neighbourhood. Reserve extra time to wait for your meal - in my case 1 hour but was worth it. Minus: terrible toilet.
Great option if you are visiting the Gardens of Versailles and don’t want to venture off too far for lunch! You can exit through the gates near the Neptune Fountain (Make sure you keep your ticket to enter again). The restaurant is literally a few steps down from the Neptune Gate. You can then reenter the Gardens as long as you still kept your ticket. The quality of food was excellent. They have various lunch combos as well.
Japanese menu cooked by Chinese chefs. Edamame ok. Sashimi, not quite right. Yakitori - tsukune was great, others were a bit odd. Dont ask for rice as it is Chinese rice and not Japanese and ruins the flavors. Unless you like that sort of thing.Disclaimer: fussy Brit with Japanese wife.
Let me say this first. This is not a Japanese restaurant but a Chinese restaurant run by "only care about money" minded-Chinese people who dont even go to Japanese restaurant by themselves.I read the other peoples reviews and blindly believed that it was a good choice but it was the worst experience... especially THE waitress what the other people talk nice about. Such a gap between the reality and the reviews...We are a mixed race couple and the waitress was suspiciously racist towards us (I still cant believe it). Even living in London for a long time, I never experienced such an thing from Chinese people (never experienced in China town). We even feared that she might spxx in food or put something we dont want to think of in our food...Purely talking about the quality of food... Who would put a positive rating to this food!? It really made me doubt the reviews. For example, potato salad was "too" sweet, probably added sugar in it... Mixed seafood don, they used hot basmati rice (!!??right below cold fish... Miso soup tasted like just dissolved instant miso with randomly chopped raw mushroom...If you cook for years, Im sure that everyone can sense the effort of cooking from the meal. And their food... Its easy to feel that they just care about money or they really dont know how to cook a "good" meal.It took more than half day to forget about the experience. If you go there thinking you are going to a Japanese restaurant, you are mistaken.
Slightly above average Japanese not too far from the centre of Versailles.Good selection on offer, visit maybe once a month. Most Japanese serve a similar quality "bouchettes" the yakatori style fish/veg/meat kebabs. This one doesnt stand out any more than the others but sushi and service is good.
Warm and friendly place with original homemade sushis specials, much different from the other chains in Paris!
Amazing sushi, cannot recommend highly enough! Will be coming back here the next time in Versailles.
