Awesome place to visit with your family. Specially in poya days and Sundays the beach fills with so many people. You can merely see the soil there.

All can spend time for relaxing yourself

A shame how the people ruin this beach. Its full of garbage. A lot of plastic bags, botels, even broken glass bottles and whatever you think about. Was one of the dirtiest point Ive seen in SriLanka.Even the small palm areas closed by are full of trash.

This is actually nice place to visit. People who are near the beach, they spend theirs evening time with this beach.

Kallady beach is one of the famous beach in Batticaloa. It will be crowded in every poya day. Every poya day a non profit organization called OCEAN BIOME arranges a "plactic free poya" program to cleanup the beach from plastic wastages. Its a one of the coolest place in Batticaloa. There are many hotels in beach road. (Saravana road)

Nice beach, big wawes. I was the only turist on this beach, locals like this place.

Kallady beach is a very famous place for relaxing. After the Tsunami local authority developed the beach for people’s attraction.

A beautiful and calm beach where so many things are possible at the same place. swimming, surfing, relaxing in the calm beach. So many hotels around the area with tasty food and all facilities for your entertainment.

A great place to relax. If you go early in the morning you can see a beautiful sunrise. People come to buy fish from the fishermen. if you help them while they use beach seine(கரைவலைstyle to catch fish they will give you some fish as reward. Looks like crowded mostly on Sundays. Do not try to bath.

This place had become popular for people gathering and some beach sports like football and volleyball etc. Best place to have a good vibe around. Beaches seems dangerous due to the deep.And please try not to litter this area.

Kallady Beach is a very nice and clean beach. Nice view with lot of Pine trees. Ideal for family and children to come and spend time. Its just a few minutes from the main road in Batticoloa town. Car parking facilities available.

Kallady is the most attracting destination in Kallady,Batticaloa . In the morning this beach is an isolated place but people gather here in the evening and enjoy with their family. Fishermen are a common scene in the earlymorning. There is still remaining a destroyed chapel from the tsunami disaster. The most beautiful sunrise you can see from here.

Very beautiful beach near the kallady bridge

One of the best places i have visited . Its a calm & a peaceful beach , and a very big beach. Few remains of the damaged church still can be seen . One of the best places if you want spend the time in the evening . Parking spaces available . 5-10min ride from town . Safe to bring children . Enjoy the place and keep the place clean 😊

A sandy beach in east coast like Maruthamunai beach but with lesser crowd and food. Warm and too hot till 5 pm. then can play in sand. many Casuarina trees which give shadow near the beach. small toy shops but you have to buy your food and water early in places like Kattankudy. Use glasses to avoid sun rays.few benches are there.

A beautiful and peaceful place to spend time with your friends and family. Its a long stretch of beach, but only a certain range of area is visited by people. So many people are visiting this beach and some play games like basketball ball, volleyball,etc. But swimming is strictly forbidden here because of the strong and rough waves.

Had to walk around 1km for a better view( the lagoon). They say that in some seasons that you can cross the lagoon.

Happy to see a long pollution-free beach in SriLanka. Not a place for bathing but can have a walk around 5 in the morning.. you can buy some fresh fish .cheaper than batticaloa. There are some huts and restaurants. children park is nice and tidy. not much crowded but can see local visitors and foreigners walking around. worth to pay a visit.

Kallady is a village within the Batticaloa District of Eastern province of Sri Lanka. It lies north of Batticaloa city. As part of ongoing Sri Lankan civil war, the Kallady village has military installments.
