Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub in Marietta
Description
Got sat down and did not get any service from anyone. Everyone around us was getting food and getting asked if they wanted another drink as we didn’t even receive menus. Terrible Service.
MoreI thought the kaleidoscope burger was pretty average. It was a lot of food, but I wouldn’t say the taste was extraordinary. The fries were super bland. The outside seating is nice, and there was live music Wednesday night.Lastly, I have to give props to our waiter. He was very attentive.
MoreFood is always eh. Bartenders take forever to get to you unless youre "part of the click" from the hood. They also are never really thrilled youre there. Often sit for several minutes at bar before they take an interest. Also, experienced severely rude and inappropriate comments by a bartender. Walked out. Never was a great experience before that and clearly is a no go now. Not worth it. Place sucks. Live a mile away and would rather drive across town to somewhere else.
MoreDelicious food and friendly service! I love the garbanzo bean salad, steak frites, and pizzas! Drinks are great too.
MoreBrunch Cuban sandwich, bottomless mimosas, and service fantastic as usual!
Great atmosphere, good food, fast service. Looking forward to their brunch specials.
MoreNice local place. Food isnt what youd expect, there are appetizers, entrees, burgers and salads, heavy on pork- based selections. We had Cubano, Philly steak and chicken tacos, all excellent. Very friendly service. Great outdoor patio.
MoreMy family and I celebrated my niece’s graduation from college today at Kaleidoscope and what an enjoyable time! They accommodated our large party with such class! The service what excellent and the food was on point! I’m looking forward to returning! Thanks so much, Jeremy!!
MoreMaybe the WORST SERVICE EVER I’ve experienced in my life! First off the lady seating us sat us next two four tables maybe 2-3 feet away during the pandemic (May 2021). There were ten to fifteen other tables open with no one in them socially distanced.Next our waitress was EXTREMELY rude! She acted like we were idiots for not knowing we could download the menu on a QR code on the table. Every time she came back she had an attitude like we were idiots and not welcome. Maybe she could tell we weren’t locals? Honestly I can’t remember the last time I’ve had this poor of service. The food was good but it’s a shame that horrible service ruined our experience at this restaurant. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone!
More1st time dining here.We stopped by because of the crowd on the patio. Our server was definitely A-1! A customer recommended a few dishes for us to try. We started with the Verde Wings ,my husband absolutely loved them. That would probably be the dish I’d say try.Followed that with the Korean bbq bowl. Now that was the oddest combination of foods that I’ve ever had. Won’t ever try that again. He had a burger slider with pimento cheese, he wasn’t a fan of that either.
MoreWe came for the bottomless mimosas, and they did not disappoint! Our server made sure our glasses stayed full. The service was great. I wasnt impressed with the food, but we had a great time.
MoreGreat neighborhood restaurant with award winning burgers and draft beer selection. Something for everyone
MoreOur server Dom didnt know what the soup of the day was, I didnt even want soup but still. The menu was literally just a tiny piece of paper with a barcode on it, he told me to take a picture of it...why would I want a picture of that??? Very crowded and no one wore a mask while eating, UNSAFE. Will come back, but not anytime soon. Thanks
Moremy experience was absolutely wonderful, our server Denís was absolutely fantastic, the food was amazing, 10/10 will come back soon!
MoreCame here twice this weekend because it is just too good. I highly recommend this place and if you go you have to get the steak frites and the pork egg rolls. Top tier restaurant
MoreI got the 3 little pigs! It was so good. The grits are amazing! Will definitely be going back!
MoreOne of my favorite places. Been going there since day one and it keeps getting better!!
MoreIt took 30 minutes for servers to bring water when it’s 90 degrees outside. I had to ask 3 times to different servers if they know we are waiting for drinks. At the same time, they are chitchatting with other customers. The crowd is very specific. We are not going there again.
MoreCute place to eat in Brookhaven. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of it. The food is good, not great but I really enjoyed my steak frites. It was definitely greasy, but the flavor was very good. The dining room is spacious with a lot of tv’s by the bar. Overall, pretty good choice.
MoreTook my girl for the bottomless mimosas and she loved it! I read some reviews on the shrimp and grits and they made them sound basic but the grits were bangin actually. From the cheese used in the grits, the sauce they make to the seasoning of the shrimp did not disappoint. Will come back again!
MoreAccepts reservations. Good customer service. Delicious creamy shrimp & grits. Unlimited mimosas. I was pleased they were able to remove the sausage since I don’t eat pork. Would definitely return!
MoreLunch here was a treat. Our waiter Derek was great! Shortly after we were seated he brought us water (finally someone just took the liberty to give water without us having to ask for itand took our appetizer order. We had the Green Chili Chicken and Cheese Flautas and 1 1/2 lb Jumbo Chicken Wings. The wings were big and hot. They are some of the largest wings I have had in Georgia. This was a good choice it wasn’t heavy and they were good. For an entree I had the Herb Crusted Salmon and it was delicious and filling. My companion had the Steak Frites which he enjoyed. For our drinks we enjoyed the Bottomless Mimosas. Derek continue to fill not only our mimosa glass but also our water. Even after we paid our bill and we sat to talk for a little while Derek continued to fill our water. He was very nice, friendly and sweet. Thank you Derek for making our first visit to Kaleidoscope a pleasant and welcoming one!!
MoreGreat place if you have a large party for brunch (but call ahead of course)! Great atmosphere, food and mimosas. Get there early unlimited mimosas end at 3:45pm. Will be back again!
MoreWe had heard great things about this restaurant but between the terrible service (they brought our meals the same time as the appetizersto having everyone sit in very hot and sunny west facing patio while the cool and comfortable shady patio stayed empty, not to mention the ceiling fans were turned to winter mode. Then, there was some good dishes, but most were a bit "trying to hard" without the follow through to pull them off. Case in point, the tuna tartar was glorified guacamole with a few small slivers of tuna and the Eat Your Greens Pizza was packed full of very bitter stems for mature kale. Not for us.
MoreA good neighborhood spot! The bartenders are friendly and properly attentive. The menu doesnt have a terribly large variety, but there is also a noticeable effort to put a small twist on classics like wings and burgers. For those looking for a local establishment with good staff and positive vibes, you are in luck.
MoreThis place is absolutely awesome I visited them about a week ago during their Sunday brunch. They offered $20 Bottomless mimosas and the outdoor patio was a great place to enjoy any meal any time of day. We had an epic time on the patio was filled with high energy. We were there celebrating a birthday and when we sang Happy Birthday or celebrated other tables started singing with us and started chanting with us. So we did the same to the other parties and it was sooo fun. The menu items were priced very reasonably and did I say the mimosas were off the chain? They were. I ordered a tuna Tatar and it was unbelievably amazing and I dont even eat raw fish. I also had a taste of a chicken taco that was amazing. I highly recommend this place for great food and a great time.
MoreBrunch here was amazing. I originally came for bottomless mimosas with loved ones. But we ended up ordering food, and Im glad I did. Everything tasted great. My waiter was very attentive. There was definitely a wait, but it was well worth it. Ill be returning here.
MoreQuite busy here so for the love of God, either carpool or take a ride share service. The food here is always very good and tastes unique. Their mimosa service is absolutely delicious and fast and unlimited provided you get there in the time limit.Only thing that sucks here is the place gets crowded and requires that you and your party bring another party; the virtue of patience.
MoreI personally dislike the qr code menus. But the server understood and got me a real menu quickly. The place was packed, which makes since because its a great atmosphere. That being said, It took 30 minutes to get apps and then another 30 to get entrée. Which I was okay with today because I was in a mood to chill. When the food came it was good and hot.
MoreGreat food and great atmosphere. The sweet chili calamari is always great and the fries are the best around. Also the Philly is sneaky good.
MoreWe had Austin as our server during Saturday brunch and he was incredible. This guy is the best. Ive never had service like this at a restaurant before in Atlanta. I brought my friend here for the first time and we both agreed that based on our service today were definitely coming back all the time. Even when we thought he forgot about us it turned out the delay was due to him trying to get us even better service. Thanks for the vibes today! Kaleidoscope has two new loyal customers!
MoreIn an unique time for everywhere globally, I highly compliment them on meeting, if not exceeding the standards for - The New Norm. Additionally, we sat on The 🍕 side outdoors. All service was exceptional. The waitress was bubbling with high positive energy. The additional staff engaged us with service and conversation. Along with, the Manager checked on us two times. Last but not least, we had pizza and it was superb. Pizza clarification, true thin sliced pizza the way its made in Italy. However, in Italy the topping are ok in the amount served. The toppings we enjoyed were abundant. . . No, I do not work for them. Felt great to get out again. Stay well and be safe.
MoreMy girlfriend and me came here after a failure first stop at a restaurant near by for dinner a few months back on a Friday. We came still hungry and wanted to eat outside since it was a warm night for October. I was looking to eat on something more healthy and found comfort in the Gyro, it filled me up well and I left with leftovers. Overall, we are thinking of coming back for one a weeknight when they have activity going on/sport games to watch. Definitely recommend check them out at night, get atmosphere and you can bring your dog on the outside section!
MoreTo start off, I want to say that I had no issues with the food. In fact, the food was fantastic. Our group of 4 was here on Saturday for bottomless mimosa brunch. Our server was an older gentleman, who had a table of 10ish people behind us. We paid the same price as everyone else in the restaurant to get bottomless mimosas. Our glasses were refilled on average once every 45 minutes. All four glasses on the table had to be empty for the server to refill. The tables next to us had a pregnant woman as their server, and their glasses were never empty. The icing on the cake was at 3:10, when this picture was taken, the woman server was filling up the tables around her with mimosas, and our server said his boss said no more mimosas were allowed to be given out. We were made to feel like second class citizens, and that’s not a good feeling when I’m a paying customer at a restaurant.
MoreAlways a favorite neighborhood spot. The menu has something for every taste or mood. The bottomless mimosas brunch is a great value too. Recently discovered the pork chop with chimichurri and eggs with a side of home fries. I prefer to sit at the bar because the bartenders are great. If the bar is full, the patio is great in good weather.
MoreI visited Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub with my line sisters on Sunday for the first time and the experience was fun. We had a reservation for 12 PM and they seated our party (although I was tardy, which is good because I know some places that won’t if everyone is not there). I do recommend making a reservation because the place was crowded with people enjoying themselves. There is limited free parallel parking options in the front of the restaurant and more free parking available in the lot in the back, but the restaurant shares the parking with other businesses. I ended up parking in the lot near another restaurant and it took me about 2 minutes to walk from my car, so arrive earlier (before 12:30 PM if you can, I didn’t an got lucky with finding one of the last spots). Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub offers bottomless mimosas (for $15.99 at the time when I visitedand the waitress kept them coming until last call at 2:45 PM. I am not a huge mimosa fan, so I ended up just stopping at the one (which cost $8). I recommend this option, if you dont really like mimosas (Unpopular opinion I know). However, you will get your money worth here if you decide to go bottomless. Our waitress was friendly and continued to check in and refill our cups with the water and mimosas. My sisters ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the French toast plate (which included bacon and fruitand added a side of home style potatoes. I would order the French toast plate again because it was all good. The French toast was sweet without being overkill, the bacon was crispy, and the fruit was ripe and sweet! The potatoes were the perfect texture (soft yet firm with sautéed peppers and onion), but I would have liked to have a little bit of salt added (and there was no salt or pepper on the table). The restroom was clean, and I loved the cute cloth-style napkins with the restaurant logo on them. It added a nice touch. I would recommend this spot for brunch and return in the future.
MoreAwesome flavors in the Korean BBQ rice bowl. This dish is huge, so go hungry, split with a friend, or take some home!
MoreThe food was great the ambience was great and the crowd was great:enjoyed this place
MoreThe grilled cheese BLT & cheesy grits were extremely tasty...so a definite 2 thumbs up to the chef. The reason Im not assigning a 5- star rating is due to the service. Everyone in my party had received their food except me. Our server advised me that my food was ready, but had been left sitting in the window. She didnt offer an explanation or an apology for the oversight, so...As a side note: Im glad that my cousin had an enjoyable birthday celebration.
MoreThis food was sooooo good and no wait time despite it being lunch time on a Saturday.
MoreGreat atmosphere & service. Enjoyed eating outside. Good menu, which includes some vegetarian options. Extensive choice of beers, and I tried MysteryShip.
MoreI had never been to this restaurant before. It always seems to be lively.I sat at the bar and ordered to go.Bartender was quick to greet me. Made my drink perfectly.Recommended the burger. The meat was delicious, but not cooked correctly.I ordered a double and one Patty was med rare one was cooked closer to med well. I cooked the first one more at home. The wings I ordered were ok in flavor but the skin was soft & not crispy. The Mac and cheese side was excellent!Overall, the restaurant is nice inside and I liked the foods flavor. I lucked up with parking. Not sure what its like when crowded. I will probably try this place again.
MoreHonestly, this place is beautiful! Great seating, great ambience, extensive menu...adequate parking...bottomless mimosas for a reasonable price...But the food...was just NOT GOOD. I had their salmon entree which had great presentation! But I just didnt enjoy it. Salmon was pretty flavorless and the medley underneath it...eh. My friend got a burger...didnt enjoy it. One of my other friends got something else and she did not enjoy her food either (sorry I dont remember what t wasbut the fourth person with us enjoyed her food. I remember it was like some eggs on a biscuit or something...the name eggs benedict comes to mind but dont quote me.Service was pretty good though. Servers made sure that my cup was never at the bottom! I appreciated that because at some places your cup it always at the bottom instead of it being bottomless. A few times flies were in our drinks and servers quickly swapped them out which we appreciated.Great place to meet up with friends and take cute pictures and sit outside on a nice day...but I wont go here if I am hungry.
MoreMade a very large reservation for 14 people. Management accommodated us easily and was professional throughout. Service was very friendly and attentive with our drinks. Food did not take too long, especially considering the size of our party. They had no issues with dividing up the check, something many restaurants have unreasonable policies on. Everyone was happy with the food. On my side, we had potstickers as a starter, steak salad, and the Korean BBQ Rice Bowl. Pot stickers were standard fare, bu the Korean BBQ rice bowl is Southern-Asian fusion at its best. Would visit Kaleidoscope again...we were too full for dessert, but no one complained. Outdoor seating is dog-friendly and lovely. Host and servers were top-notch.
MoreThis is my favorite neighborhood hang out. Located on Dresden drive flanked between Ashford Park and Drew Valley neighborhoods you will find the local "Cheers" watering hole. The food is "delish", and they change the menu twice a year, plus offer daily specials. They have a full bar, specialty drinks, and they do beer tap specials when they get a new brew in. There is a large wrap around bar plus a large community table which is perfect for socializing with new friends. Tables are located in the back, and can be set up to accommodate large parties if needed. On the weekends there is line at the door to be the first ones on the patio to enjoy bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys for brunch. There is a late night bar crowd where things get hopping after the other restaurants close. The soup natzi has nothing on Joey Riley, The owner and chef. If he has a special soup when you go in. Make sure to order it. I have not found anyone who makes better soup!
MoreAlways good atmosphere. Theres always people there...never a dead place and Ive visited for breakfast and late at night as well. Their cocktails are different, pretty good. Server has been nice every time. Great place to meet up with friends. They have outside seating. Food is ok.
MoreGreat place in Brookhaven. Wonderful friendly and knowledgeable servers. Drinks and food came quickly.
MoreGreat food and drinks! The staff is friendly. Nice ambiance. Great place to bring a big party.Oh and must do brunch with the bottomless mimosas!! And if you like grits, I HIGHLY recommend the cheddar grits!!!
