70 Grey St, Kalbarri WA 6536, Australia, Port Denison
Nature area offering scenic hikes amid red & white striped sandstone river gorges & coastal cliffs.
Beautiful scenery
Beautiful national park. Bring water as it can be really hot especially during summer :)
If you drive past or think the entry fee is too much... you do deserve to be miserable. This was the highlight of my trip to WA.
It was a stunning surprise the gem that WA was holding for us. Taking 5 days to explore all Kalbarri was more than worth it.Will come back with no hesitation
Beautiful national park with bush and cliff. There are a few points of interests that dont require a lot of walking to get to. There area also a few which have day trails which needs water. The carparks are usually decently sized and does have rest room facilities. It is a beautiful area with things for everyone to do.Bear in mind there is a fee to get into the park (which can also be paid at the visior center in Kalbarribut the places themselves are free once youre inside.
I knew this would be a beautiful natural wonder, but to say my jaw dropped as we drove into the park would be an understatement. The pictures just dont do the place justice. The scenery is breathtaking. Its definitely worth putting more time aside to do some of the walks to really get a sense of this place if you can. Ill be visitig again soon.
Beautiful landscapes and not far away from the Kalbarri town centre. Most trails are very easy to walk and the challenging ones are well worth the challenge. My personal favourite is the Z Bend River Trail which offers some climbing up and down the gorge and meanders through a huge crack in the gorge. The view shows the majesty of the geological formation.
Amazing experience, bring fly net, trainers and water and your good to go
Too many annoying flies! Wear nets face masks and spray yourselves with fly spray! Distracting and takes enjoyment away from the nature.
Absolutely worth to visit!
Yes beautifull to see the Skywalk.Natures Window walk was closed from 7am due to the heath.
Kalbarri will blow your mind with its incredible beauty. The rich red of the rock formations are offset by the pristine bushes and wildflowers and then there is the incredible river that snakes through the centre. It was such a peaceful zen like experience to wander solo through the area. I only wish I had stayed much longer there. It was much easier to walk around than I expected. The tracks are well marked out. Take a lot of water, sun protection and good footwear and you will have a wonderful time. Plenty of parking at each walking track location. 5 stars. You don’t need to travel overseas to see incredible scenery. It’s right here in Aus!
Natures Window and Skywalk are absolutely stunning. The park roads and trails are very well kept and sign posted. The views are well worth the travel there.
BEAUTIFUL Natures Spot...Extreme Heat...Take plenty of Water...Enjoy 😁👍🌈👀🥰
Great NP with good facilities at the major attractions. V good roads into all areas of the NP. Kalbarri town is a good base as there is no camping anywhere in the NP. (The only minus)
Honestly this is up there with the best NP in WA. The walks are so stunning with great scenery. The Natures Window; Skywalk and Four Ways hike are a great highlight. The wildflowers here were phenomenal. We did over 20 km of hiking in the one day, which was stunning. There is a cafe near the skywalk which was great, no caravans can be towed in here so we left our caravan at the caravan park. It is a lovely sealed road into here and there are toilets facilities at every car park, there is heaps of parking for all! The main entry has eftpos and cash facilities to pay the daily NP fee.“Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
Amazing place, must go destination for everyone
The sky walk, natures window we did in one day and with 2 kids that was enough. It was beautiful, breath taking and highly recommend it. Each place has toilets near the car park and picnic benches. Both very unique looks at the gorge. The next day we climbed and walked z bend. It was a really different beautiful walk and hike and bouldering climb. The rocks are more of a deeper red, the formations of the walls and trees growing out of the rocks of fascinating. We walked out to the look out and then climbed down into the gorge. There are little arrows on sticks to guide you down and up. We spent 2 hours there and would have explored longer if we had arrived earlier but it was getting late in the afternoon and didnt want to be stuck climbing in the dark.
What an amazing place with so much to do: river trails, coastal walks, the new sky bridge! Ive spent three days there, and Id definitely go back for more. Geology, nature, water, fresh air...
It was very raw and nature (climbed up and downwhen I came here 10+years ago. This park was well developed when I visited here again in11/2020. There a loop skywalk. More informative boards. Easier to walk through the scenic places. Less flies than 10years ago.
Truely worth while but take quite a few litres of water and try going 5.30am if you want to walk by 7.30 its way to hot great walks and the loop was amazing
Some very good scenery in a well maintained national park. Roads are in good condition and there are toilets at all the main parking areas. Plaques detail the walks and most are well set out and easy enough. There are some more difficult ones that lead to spectacular locations.
Visited in Jan 2021, recommend early or late day visiting for cooler temperatures if possible. Cafe on-site. Awesome views on bridge. Outback toilets available. The bridge & natural sites are worth the trip.
What a magnificent view for photo and the nature window is the Best.
What an experience. WA had so much to see and explore. Glad we did this trip.
The skywalk was great, views pretty spectacular and perfect for older people and younger children to walk too.
The new Sky-Walk is fantastic and is full of good info and statues along the path that make the walk interesting for the kids. The park is beautiful and clean and the views are phenomenal.
Kalbarri National Park is a beautiful, natural part of the world. The new Skywalk really adds to the experience by giving an appreciation of how deep and spectacular the gorges are. Some great walks. Definitely worth the trip.
Amazing nature wonder, go early in the morning or bit late afternoon to see wilderness flowers, birds and animals
If you want to see the nature landscape of western Australia from a high altitude, you can not miss the Kalbarri national park. This place is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions I have been in my life. The skywalk was also completed a few months ago so lets become the first people come there.
Top notch for landscapes and astrophotography, great parking and 30kms off the nearest light. The Natures window not only boasts picturesque sight it also offer tons of astro photography compositions. Z loop treck is doable and if one braves to attempt a jaw dropping night astro, this is the hike to take!
Really nice visit in late September. Did some fishing, visited the Z Bend Trail and Nature’s Window. Didn’t have time for hiking but the trails look nice and signage is great around the park. Need more than 2 days to see everything!
Gorgeous views, and great walks. Kalbarri has it all, if you are a photographer, hiker, nature lover or just touring the great West, this place is a must see.
Fantastic view. Take some water worth the walk wow. 🥳🥳
Striking scenery, excellent toilets and shelters. Could not find a camping area.
Love this place. Great National Park about 6-8hrs from Perth. Great for short and long hikes. Plenty of different hiking tracks. Beautiful photo opportunities for flora and fauna (depending on the season you travel to)
Dont forget to take comfortable shoes with you, because the rocky slippery and a bit dangerous. one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. definitely visit. ticket 13 australian dollars. have fun guys
Great place with amazing views. Will definitely remember going for the rest of your life
Lovely scenery and fantastic views. Camping restrictions are understandable, but a bit of a bummer. Plenty of bird watching and wild life spotting opportunities.
Beautiful national park with stunning gorges inland and cliffs along the coast. A Skywalk is to open mid 2019. Check out the status of flies before you go-go may want to take a net with you. Make sure to bring enough water-its boiling with little shade. Most sights can be accessed with little walking.
Definitely worth visiting make sure you see all the lookouts and bring plenty of water and sunscreen! Beautiful walks and trails with great roads into the area and lots of wildlife!
A must so in the area. If you have time make sure to do the hike going down into the canyon after Natures window, its impressive and very peaceful as almost noone does it.
Make sure you are prepared with water and good shoes if you want to do the walk around the gorge. It is MUCH hotter in the valley than at the top of ridge.
A days family excursion turned into a life time family experience, mother nature enriching our lives to the MAX. Fun day, Amazing photos.Tip: if you think youre taking enough water...double it.
Pretty tops place. Do a walk, have a look around and you will not be disappointed. Can get pretty hot so take water so you dont die.
Fantastic, but in hot weather take at least 3 to 4 lt of water for trail walks. And a fly net, but well worth it.
While natures window is always busy, you can get some quiet time after a nice short hike down to the river itself, which was my highlight. Dont forget to take your swimmers! Alternatively, theres an 8km rim walk if you got enough time as well.
Amazing place. Bit dry this time of the year (Decemberbut still worth it. Also the entire drive out there has been asphalted.
Definitely a place worth stopping to enjoy all the sites and history of this truly special place.
Great view. Quite busy around natures window.
